We went for dinner at ITC Mughal on 28 November. Staff was very polite and helpful and gave us table at Taj bano. We ordered from their Peshawari menu. Food was excellent. Chicken kasturi kababs were the best we had so far. Dal bhukhara and butter Nan combination is heavenly. Special thanks to Mr. BHIM for helping us with the menu and for making our evening pleasant and tasty. Wish to visit ITC Mughal again in the future.

Luxurious ambience, extra ordinary service, with not so impressive food. The place is very plush, and as soon as you enter you are enthralled by the decor. People are simply waiting to guide and serve you. Everything around the core was so beautiful that they forgot to focus on their main produc - food. Honestly it was just ok, given the prices and the expectation from a name like ITC. I went for the much touted buffet which dint have much to offer in terms of starters and sweets. For vegetarians we were served 'rock-solid' and 'desert-dry' daal vada. For nonveg chilli chicken was really delicious. But that's it. Only one type of starter. Main course was sumptuous with a wide variety of meals but it failed to impress the taste buds. Desserts were again not that great in terms of variety or taste. It's December and they are not offering any kind of halwa, that's strange and a turn off. Overall I liked the ambience and loved the service. But that's not compelling enough to visit the place again. Quick lesson : focus on core - the food. And then work on the auxiliaries.

Taj bano was an outstanding experience. The buffet spread, the staff were excellent. Raj Kumar, Raj Soni and Vinod went out of their way to ensure we got the best gastronomic experience. The service of all the three people was exemplary. Keep up the good work!!

This is the most popular of all the restaurants in ITC Mughal, Agra. One reason is that breakfast is served here. Other is that it’s buffet lunch and dinner are very elaborate. Non vegetarian dishes are simply superb. Staff here is very nice and helpful. Some like Mr BHIM, Mr Ram Mohan Mr Anwar and Mr Umar Khan are always there to help. They remember personal preferences for a memorable experience. Love this place.

While at ITC Mughal Resort & Spa, most of our meals were at Taj Bano Restaurant, an elegant restaurant with a view of the courtyard offering Indian, Western and Oriental cuisines in contemporary settings with Mughal architecture. For our first lunch, we chose to sit in the outside area to enjoy the pleasant weather crossing the indoor area of the beautiful restaurant. It was time for zaika of ‘Agra ka swaad’ especially prepared by Chef Kavitha Unni for us. Methi ke Kabab and Matar Makhane ka Shorba were very comforting. Khurmi Paneer was stuffed with cheese and was very unique, Dal Dhungari was slow cooked in whole spices and charcoal which had an amazing flavor. The non-veg variety included Bhuna Gosht which was meat latpat cooked in spices and was simply yum. We also tasted Agre ka Gosht Pulao which was remarkable. For desserts we had a platter with Hot Jalebis with Rabri and Pethe ka Halwa which extended flavours and the taste of Agra. The rich and authentic Agre ka zaika was out of the world. With ITC Hotels WeAssure initiative there was assurance of safe dining experience. The management is ensuring less or minimal contact between the staff and guests, Savlon hand sanitizer kept on all tables, all the crockery & cutlery are sanitized and prepacked so that there is no touchpoint between 2 people. Our second lunch was Express Wok which is a proper meal in box known as bento-box which comes in both veg and non veg versions. Let us decode the box for you. The Vegetarian Box had Olive Fried Rice, Asian Spring Rolls (made of rice sheets and glass noodles), Stir fried Asian Greens, Okra Chilli Bean (so unique!) and Date Pancake while the Non-Vegetarian box had Kung Pao Chicken, Governors Chicken, Soy Ginger Fish, Veg Hakka Noodles and Date Pancakes. All the dishes were so yum! We loved the concept of the Bento Box which had everything from starters to main course to desserts. Dinner was about Awadhi treat where we tried different delicacies like Hara Bhara Kebab, Murgh Kali Mirch Kebab, Subz Zafrani Shorba, Subz Miloni, Jannat-e-Numa, Dal Makhani, Maki Sarson, Gosht Awadhi Biryani and more. For desserts we had Shahi Tukda and Shahed-e-Jam. The meal was rich, authentic and flavourful and we all enjoyed it a lot. The menu was especially curated for us by Chef Ashmit Bhattacharya and Chef Kavitha Unni. A perfect meal and a perfect end! We also had a chatpata time at the hotel. ITC Mughal ensured we don’t go back without tasting the yummiest Agra ki Chaat. Over the evening they organized a special chaat time and treated us with not just one or two specialities but with 5 yummiest chaats made in house which we relished in the confines of ITC Mughal. From Jalebi Chaat to Pakodi Chaat, Papdi Chaat, Dahi Bhalla Chaat, Motia Makai Chaat…we enjoyed our lip smacking chatpata time with these yummiest chaats. Breakfast was about Zesty Mornings. At the buffet what was interesting was that there was a glass shield against every food item and no guest was allowed to take the food. Food was being served by servers wearing gloves and mask. The extensive menu included vada, idli, upma, parathas (paneer, matar and aloo) and much more. There was also a live counter where hot Dosas and Uttapams were being made fresh and served with all the 3 chutneys- peanut, tomato, mint & coriander. ITC Hotels have a concept known as ‘Local Love’ under which local dishes from the city is served everyday. We tried Bedmi Puri from the Local Love menu and absolutely enjoyed it. The array of beverages included fruit juice, milk, coffee, chai etc. We met Chef Philip who specializes in South Indian cuisine. One counter which I always check out while at a breakfast buffet is Omlettes and to my delight there were fresh and live omlettes in the making and were served with a choice of white and brown bread. For desserts, there were muffins in many varieties, waffles, pancakes, cinnamon Danish pastry and many more. We enjoyed our breakfast and the lovely spread of desserts too.

Excellent Service TajBano in Agra presents a royal dining experience that transcends the ordinary. The ambiance is elegant, evoking Mughal charm. The culinary journey is replete with authentic Indian cuisine. Vikrant Ji, our server, was exceptional in his service. His warm demeanor, knowledge of the menu, and prompt attention to our needs made our dining truly memorable. In particular, the delectable flavors in each dish stood out, along with the refreshing beverages. TajBano is a must-visit for any food connoisseur visiting Agra

The amazing view, amazing food and amazing deserts; what else do I need. We asked for non garlic and non onion food and yes we got it out of the menu at random- Kadhai Paneer, dal tadka and naan. Thinking what it would have tasted? It tasted delicious. And though it was a special day, they surprised me with some delicious deserts. Hell! I am going back. 😍

Best hospitality by Anwar and team. Food is having limited options but delicious in taste. The only concern which I faced is the loud noise coming from open walkway above the restaurant. Overall nice experience

We ordered ala carte. Overall food quality was very good. Mutton korma, Dum biryani, yellow dal, Gobhi all very outstanding. The staff was as usual up to the ITC standard but ala carte service was found a little wanting

The food here is always the best in town.
The starters had some pretty yummy mushroom quiche. It was delectable and superb.
The veg manchurian balls were good too.

The salad menu is also pretty much vivid.
With the egg and mayo salad a good one.
Also the grilled chicken with peppers was great.

The main course had some good variety in vegetarian unlike the non vegetarian.
The Dal Makhni was good and done well.
The mutton biryani was a good one too.

The lamb dumplings in sauce were not a great one though.
Overall a decent place to have a meal.
The buffet costed 1400 plus taxes

The dessert section wasn’t that fascinating.

Rats were running in our stomach and we were also running to grab our share of Food at this Beautiful Hotel and Restaurant. Mesmerised by the Beauty of this Hotel we went here to enjoy the delicacies being offered in the Buffet. Was warmly greeted by the Staff here and Many Foreigners were also present highlighting the Atithi Devo Bhava Motto of our Nation.Lets talk about the experience:

First i would like always take Ambience: 5 STARS, no doubt the ambience was Just MIND BLOWING!! The Lighting was awesome as expected in a 5 Star restaurant and we seated there comfortably on the Cosy Sofas kept there.

Presentation: As it was a Buffet System, Food was not served to us on the table instead we had to take it on our own. I went there to take my share of food and I ate Pasta, then Veg Biryani & Dal Makhani, Paneer Capsicum and Tandoori Roti. All of that was presented not so good but not so bad either, proper garnishing of the Food could have been done & how the food is served on the plate was not my concern as it was a Buffet system. Will give 4 STARS.

Food: Spices were less in the food as expected given the high number of our buddy foreigners travelling and staying in that Hotel but instead of Less number of spices in the food it tasted well. It was light on the stomach as well.Sweet Dishes included Pastry, Coconut Kaala Jamun, Chum chum etc. The taste of sweet Dishes overall i did not like much. Though the best thing i liked was the Chocolate pastry which was there.I would give 4 STARS

Staff: Staff was Nice as well, As soon as we entered they Greeted us , came to us to get our feedback about the Food. They were smiling and looked active most pf the time. But the service of Tandoori Roti was not upto the mark, i ordered 3 Tandoori rotis and it took approximately 15 minutes for them to arrive.Rest engagement with the staff was amazing.

Overall, an experience of the 5 Star was Very Good, Apart from one or two bad instances everything was Nice.Just a bit of Hard on my pocket, so if you have plenty of Hard Cash to spend here dont think much and go and enjoy the Hospitality of ITC Mughal and this restaurant. Thank you for reading my review once again.
One of the few restaurants in Agra with the great food and service. Who redefined the comfort parameter.

Food 5/5.
Service 5/5.
Ambience 4.5/5.

There were three people who impressed me with their service and support.
1- Sankar Ji
2- Umar Ji
3- Uday veer Ji

They where were helpful.

Great place in iconic hotel. Visited recently and had memorable dinner at this restaurant. Food quality was amazing with distinct menu options. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian offerings were good and can be tried without hitch. Service’s super prompt and attentive. Value for money place, must visit if you are in town.

I have been to Taj Bano earlier in the year 2015 and have tried their buffet which I shall admit was much better than the one I had this time.

The best thing about ITC buffet is the ingredients which are absolutely fresh and each ingredient is carefully chosen for its freshness and special flavors.

The buffet was very attractively priced at Rs 1500 for a dinner which is cheap by ITC standards! The spread in the main course was good and had some really good cuisines to try while it's difficult to list out the entire menu, but I particularly liked the pork goulash which was very juicy, tender and delicious to much on the pork.

They had two fresh starters one veg and one non veg, I tried the seekh kabab which were good but not very special. They had dal makani which was very creamy and buttery.

By the time, I was on to the desert part of my buffet I was pretty full and I tried their chocolates mousse, mango creme brulee, and other Indian sweets.

I would like to mention their absolutely brilliant service culture which treats all customers whether foreigners or Indians same, i have had many experiences where restaurants have gone head over heels to impress their fairer guests at the expense of Indian guest.

ITC Mughal is a huge property displaying Mughal architecture and splendor and is in close proximity to the Taj Mahal.

Location & Ambience – While ITC Mughal offers many dining options, I chose Taj Bano on this particular occasion as it was serving a lunch buffet. Take the marble staircases going down from the lobby and you will find someone to greet you into this elegant and spacious restaurant.

Food & Service – The food was good with enough vegetarian options for me. Staff was warm and welcoming, as expected from ITC properties.

Value for Money – At 1,300 plus taxes for the lunch buffet, it is definitely worth a visit.

Amazing place if you looking for buffet restaurants in Agra.

Great Ambience.... No doubt! Their mughalai food is amazing. So, is other Indian cuisine. Desserts are must-try! ❤

However, their chinese, italian, and thai food sucks! Do not even try. 👎

Seeing the name 'Taj Bano - ITC Mughal', you expect quality food but this place absolutely failed to live up to my expectations as well as my mother's. She's visited this place previously and spoke very highly however this time the food was horrible! So much so, we ended up complaining and the manager apologised asking the chef to create a personalized dish. Not just the lunch and the dinner, but even the breakfast failed to impress us. Very few options available, bad taste and most of the desserts weren't fresh. The only thing I genuinely had twice was the Chocolate Mousse! Very light and delicious.
Contrary to how bad the food was, I'd say the service was impeccable. Right from the manager to the chef, the hospitality impressed us. And that's the only reason I'm rating this place 2! At Least they tried to make up for the bad food by making the personalized dish (which was still decent).
But my question is, do you go there for the service or the food? :)

The best place for dining in agra... One can easily experience the royalty of hospitality here.. The buffet is amazing with endless variety of food

Excellent service. The food is great, Mr. Anwar took very good care of us along with his team. We had some salads and were also presented with multi grain dosa ( a first for us ) and it was delicious. Look out for the dosa anyone who comes here. Thanks for a great service loved it.

ITC hotels being known for their buffet spreads as well, here at ITC Mughal Taj Bano doesn't disappoint at all.

Serving all the special need foods and bringing back the lost grains is one of the many reasons one should come here.
They make sure to include a lost indian grain and an authentic breakfast dish to their menu.

Some of my favorites include
Dosa, bok choy with rice, pancakes, pav bhaji and so much more. Who doesn't like a buffet spreads.

Their shakes are worth mentioning... I had so many glasses of cold coffees and vanilla shakes that I can't even count.

The juice bar is great as they serve amazing blends of juice of vegetables and fruits

The lunch and dinner buffet spreads inculde various cusines from Chinese to Indian so you get a very wide variety.

Service is top notch.

Highly recommended

Taj Bano is the buffet restaurant at the ITC MUGHAL, having a classy decor and a soothing aura, it is one of the best fine dines in the country.

It serves one of the most lavish buffets comprising of Indian as well as Continental cuisine to suit guests from around the world along with a wide selection of drinks served to order. We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed every meal we had at this restaurant be it breakfast or lunch or dinner.

My personal recommendations would include bedmi poori n aloo ki sabji, achaari aloo, chicken curry, pancakes, assortment of desserts, chicken biryani.

Our family visits to Agra are incomplete without a stay at ITC Mughal, which is one of the finest properties of ITC in India. Taj Bano is the fine dining buffet restaurant which serves great breakfast and lunch buffets.
This time I happened to be with a very diverse group of friends from around the world and hence we wanted them to try different things on the menu and hence the buffet was our best bet.
The spread was amazing with some of the finest mughlai dishes and an assortment of desserts. The dal makhni was everyone's favorite- no doubts about it. That's what ITC is know for. Also the biryani was superbly done. The desserts section had lovely cheese cakes and mousse along with a great selection of fresh fruits and breads.
Shrey Kharkwal from the F&B team ensured that all the guests had a great time and was very helpful with the arrangements for such a big group of 20.
I would highly recommend anyone traveling to or in Agra to definitely try this place for a memorable food experience.

I have been too many ITC hotels. The Mughal is one of the best hotels of ITC. There are few different restaurants Taj Bano is buffet restaurant. We had a breakfast served here. It is huge with good ambience. Good seating capacity for families and Groups. Privacy also available for couples. It does have a good breakfast Buffet. With many bakery items juices fruits on the table. A couple of South Indian dish some Continental and few other things like omelette. Personally I found the breakfast to be not at the level of ITC. The Other ITC hotels probably have better buffet setup and dishes. Staff was kind of slow on the service. Food quality was good whatever was served. The omelet wasn't cooked well it could have been better. Had to ask for white toast braids again and again got burnt bread couple of times. Probably not the service of ITC. Overall not a bad experience if you are ready to push the staff again and again

We had a couples dinner here while our visit to Agra. We had heard good things and hence wanted to try out. But alas, the restaurant is pretty average.

We had ordered a pizza and a pasta. Both were OK. Nothing too great. The service was decent but there was a total lack of enthusiasm by the servers. Most seemed to be very experienced but lacked energy. Interiors are average too reason being its pretty old.

3/5 would be my rating overall. Not expected from ITC.
Parthlochan Bayanwala
I had my breakfast here for 2-3 days as I was staying there....

Their breakfast spread is a very elaborate one..... Food taste & quality is very superior.... Ambience is good

But service is not upto ITC standards.... They are not able to delight customers...,

Somethings customers don't need great food to be delighted but good service....

On a trip to world heritage site The Great Tajmahal, we had a lunch here. They had a buffet for lunch with a reasonable price. They have so many variety in cuisines and they nailed it. The ambience is completely unquestionable. It's very near to Taj. The main reason for visiting this place was we all get irritated by visit to Taj. It was quite a disappointment. So we need to fresh up little bit. No need for second thought for food quality here. Everyone has to visit it must at least once.
Abhay Nagpal
The breakfast buffet spread is fine. But the taste is quite average for a big brand like ITC. The food was cold and was difficult to digest. The staff was really courteous.
Variety: 7/10
Ambience: 8/10
Food: 5/10

Elite food with great taste, and overwhelmed service standards, their dinner and breakfast buffet have great choice and it will definitely a bon appetit to one. Loved being there and will surely recommend.

Dessert was like most exquisite in mouthwatering.

Food:- 5
Service:- 5
Ambience:- 5
Waking up to this morning buffet is the best thing that can happen to you. Spread over a huge place I can bet that you can't even taste half of the dishes. The sausage sections is overwhelming. Fresh pork and chicken salamis are spread with 5 kinds of cheese. A south Indian section as well as a live egg counter is also available. You will have a difficult time choosing between the 20 kinds of deserts they have.

I'll be really objective without letting emotions get the better of me. I went there for lunch with my family. First of all, nobody wants to tell the staff repeatedly whether they are in for a buffet or an à-la-carte. When I was alone at the table, a staffer came running to clean the table's stand. Well, it isn't a major issue, but he could have asked for permission to be modest. Next up, the food, for which I was primarily there, was just tasteless and too bland. It seemed to be food for high BP patients. Next up, my server. Whenever I asked him for anything, he stared at me like I was a criminal. Now that's how you really lose a customer forever. Two repeated bad experiences with ITC.

Located on the busy streets of Tajganj yet neatly insulated from the rush is the ITC Mughal. As expected the entrance is grand but what I was floored with was the Humayun bridge which connects the entrance to the lobby. I felt confident of a royal evening. It was important for me to have a spectacular night given that I was taking my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

We were very courteously guided downstairs to Taj Bano. All we could see was another couple seated. The deserted place did not intimidate us when we had a glance at the buffet menu. All that occupied our minds then was food. The manager was very charming and made sure we were comfortable in every way possible.

Moving to food we ordered the Mughal nectar, a sinful mocktail. It was delicious and one of the best mocktails I have ever had. For starters, I feasted on the lamb chops. Not very often do you see chops as a part of buffets. A milder variety in starters was chicken in mushroom sauce. It was red alert when I had stuffed myself with too much of the charred red meat and the creamy sauce. It was difficult to make choices when you are spoilt for so many good options. Opting for mutton and chicken was a good choice. Absolutely mind blowing preparations. The naan was an excellent complementary bread for the meat. You cannot finish the meal in a Mughlai restaurant without their signature dum biryani. You could get the aroma of saffron as soon as you lift the lid to help yourself with a generous spoonful of the biryani. Flavours were spot on and the rice was moist from the steam and the biryani gravy. They got the kid out of me when I saw the fried onion placed besides. I plead guilty for getting some extra....just to munch on it.

I generally keep some space for desserts when going for a buffet. However, it is difficult for me to resist Mughlai food. All I got to satiate my sweet tooth was some ras malai and really well fried vermicelli. It was a delight.

It would be unjust if I did not mention the promptness of the wait staff to help you in any way possible. The service was impeccable, the ambience was pleasing and the food was great. Could not have asked for a better anniversary night in Agra.
Nikhil Raina
A wonderful and beautiful property and a lavish buffet. The service and the staff is exceptional. They make you feel at home everytime. I stayed for 3 nights and each day the staff and service were at their best.

The buffet had a wide variety from fruits to desserts to milk shakes to cereals to everything. One thing very different was the Oats Dosa. One could not identify between a normal dosa and the oats dosa coz it was so well made. The chef was kind enough to explain the recepie of the dosa.

Its a brilliant property with superb staff and spot on service.

Taste:8/10, Service:9/10, Ambience:9/10, Value for Money:8/10

Amazing buffet layout. Staff is courteous. Saw a group of young future managers also there serving in the restaurant. Decently priced and a great variety to choose from.

Good buffet in a beautiful property with outstanding service!

Though I am not sure but the ITC Mughal (previously known as The Mughal Sheraton) must have been among the first few five star hotels to have opened business in the city of Taj and I remember it being functional at least from the 90s if not from before.

Despite its long standing history the place is still beautiful and looks immaculate in its design and it's emulation of Mughal Era's artifacts. To sum up its a beautiful property but reasonably expensive so if you're in Agra and looking for a royal treatment this might be a good place to stay or at least have a meal to experience what I am talking about here.

Talking about our experience Today, it was absolutely great and we were particularly impressed with the quality of service by Mr.Omveer (F&B supervisor in Taj Bano) and Mr.Rajendra (our server for the evening) an extremely pleasant and gentle human being.

Following are the respective ratings :

Service - 5/5, we were absolutely treated with love and affection by Mr.Omveer and Mr.Rajendra. Once the starters were almost cold, biryani was almost lukewarm and one of our mocktails wasn't so great...enough incidents to spoil anyone's mood. However this is where great customer service can step in and turn every adverse situation into an opportunity to impress the customer so that they keep returning and this is what their staff exactly did. Though it was largely a self service setting we were served specially with freshly made starters, mocktail was promptly replaced with a smile and no questions asked and a special made to order Biryani was served on the table. WOW! Pune hotels have a lot to learn in hospitality and I wish they could join a crash course here :)

Ambience - 5/5, it's a beautiful property with a royal kind of Ambience signifying the Mughal Era with passages and halls named after the Mughal emperors that sets this place apart from other five stars in Agra.

Food - 4/5, though mostly good there is still some scope of improvement for starters as both the quantity and quality were not exactly top class but at best average. Here are the detailed ratings:

Starters - 3/5, Dahi kebabs were a little dry whereas the usp of this dish is the crispness of the outer covering complemented by the inner moistness of the curd. However the preparation was a bit drier than what it should really have been.
Chicken Angara kebabs - the preparation needed to be more tender but the marination used was fair enough and it was better than the veg starter for sure.

Main course - 4.5/5 - the main course had a decent spread comprising of continental, Chinese and Indian cuisine items. Mostly the main course was good while some of the recommended items from the buffet would be Fried rice with Paneer jalepano, a Continental lamb shanks preparation, navratan curry, daal makhani, kadhai paneer, methi pulao and ofcourse the awadhi styled Mutton dum biryani.

When we were dining 90% of the patrons were foreigners but credit to the Taj Bano cooking staff the Indian food tasted indeed like Indian and wasn't altered to suit the foreign taste buds which is a rare thing in five stars these days. Through their wide array of buffet spread they offered items in various cuisines to suit everyone's taste buds which in turn helped them to prepare items as authentically they can be prepared which definitely earned respect in my eyes :)

Desserts - 5/5, awesome is the right word and whatever I tried was first class. Some of my recommendations would be blue berry mousse cake, raajbhog mithai, khoa based barfi and chocolate swiss rolls. All of these were excellent preparations and I am at a loss to even count how many calories we have put on after this meal ;)

Vfm - 4/5, at 1400 bucks plus taxes per person the price is certainly steep. Especially with only 1 veg and non veg starter it just seems an okayish sort of deal and nothing outstanding to be really honest from value for money perspective.

However if one takes the overall experience into consideration then this place is definitely worth the price but I am taking a .5 off due to the value for money and starters aspect but otherwise no real complaints at all.

Go and visit to have a royal Mughlai experience!

Visit: August 2015Me and my wife went there for dinner buffet. It was a horrible experience, although it is summers in Agra, AC in certain sections were not working/switched off. I reached the salads counter at 9 p.m and found that certain food items were finished and even though I waited for 10 mins, there was no scope of them being replaced. I was not impressed by the variety and quality of food, special mention of mix pasta with white sauce, basically boiled pasta and white sauce kept in a separate bowl. Veg Lasagna had no cheese or sauce and the size of vegetables was too big as if they were in some kind of rush to serve it on buffet. Veg Biryani was nothing but boiled veggies mixed with boiled rice. Finally we headed to desert section, only to find few items were not replenished and half the section was left empty and signs with food item name on it still kept there to tease you "oh you missed this item and no matter how long you wait, we will not serve it again".

Pathetic experience and my request is if you have opened this just for the sake of utilizing the empty space on your property...BETTER SHUT IT DOWN

I hate this place for making my calorie count break the scale. During my 3 day stay in the hotel, I didn't feel like going to any other place for breakfast , lunch n dinner. Most importantly, it doesn't hurt your pocket.

Went there for dinner buffet! Was not impressed by the variety and quality of food however still decided to go ahead and try. As we had expected the salads we tried had gone off, either expired or made too early and kept for a very long time. The look of quite a few other dishes made us wary so we decided to leave a message and leave. Staff was very apologetic and we were visited by the fnb head and the chef so I hope improvement on their behalf for future customers.

The breakfast buffet was splendid. However the buffet for dinner was just about average. The food was bland and not enough variety in main course for vegetarians. The chef came to apologise but mentioned that the meal is prepared considering International guests, which was ridiculous I believe. When you are charging so much you should think abt all the guests.

The restaurant serves a sumptous buffet at breakfast/lunch and dinner besides the Ala Carte which is also available. The ambience is inviting and seating and tables maintain their distance from one another .The view is nice with the greenery and cool pool outside. The Buffets offer a good variety to choose from and its all well cooked, tasty and there is no way you wont get up and go for seconds. The Non veg has quite a number of meats to choose from and theres plenty for the vegetarians too .The choice of sweet dishes is great and youre sure to put on calories !! The food overall is standard excellent ITC group. While the Buffets are reasonably priced and make more sence since you can really tuckin, you may choose the Ala Carte dishes but then it may work out a tad more empty pockets .The service is excellent and personalised and the overall experience a very satisfying one. So if you want good Awadhi,Tandoori,Continental food dont miss out .

It's a mad rush here on weekends. ITC Mughal in Agra has 2 main restaurants. One is Peshawari which serves Indian cuisine while Taj Bano is a multi cuisine restaurant.
So after a couple of drinks at the Maikhana, the hotel's only bar, we headed to Taj Bano for a delectable buffet spread consisting of continental and Indian food.
The restaurant is a huge place with probably over 50 tables. The spread was big, giving reasons to the mind to get confused on what to eat. So I decided to eat everything.
Starting with minestrone soup, I went to the salads section and picked up cheese, chicken ham and turkey ham.
Then I picked the big plate and ate all sorts of things which are shown in the attached pics. I don't remember half the item names but yes, the beef chop was real good. The fish golden fry was very nice. The boiled pokchoy was super.
The chicken curry was good too. And the rest I don't remember. This buffet was available for Rs. 1399 plus tax and I surely feel it was worth it considering the humongous spread available.
The sweet dish section has a huge option but who cares for options when you are in a greedy mood!! So I had everything including the cheesecake, the banana pool which was exceptionally tasty and the egg caramel cake.
So now check the pics and go to Agra and have a hearty meal at the ITC Mughal. The food is surely good!
