Review Joney's Place - Agra

Small, but very cozy place with great food, that was established many years ago. We went there for breakfast, and after that went there for lunch! Their Palak Paneer is the best one which I’ve ever eaten. We ordered Butter Chicken also and it is worth to try! Banana lassy- highly recommended

The service and food was fantastic! Everything was clean and came out quickly. We ordered the Shahi Paneer, Chicken Biryani, and Nutella naan. The staff made sure we understood the menu and made any changes that we requested. Would highly recommend if you’re staying near the Taj!

Really cool place in the middle of bustle Agra! ♥️ Food is tasty, place is cute and cozy, we ate here few times! If you will be at Agra - must visit! Prices very cool, 120-180 rubies per dish Generally!

Small foodie place near Taj Mahal with tasty food. Prices are reasonable. Went there for breakfast and lunch, was satisfied both times.

Great restaurant with good food (we tried the Malai Kofta and cheese naan) it was delicious. The owner is really nice also!! Too bad we did not had time to come twice!

Service was perfect, very kind staff. It’s true that there is no Taj view from the restaurant. But, the food is delicious, the chef did the changes in the dishes exactly as we asked. Recommended.

Super cute little restaurant with friendly staff & a relaxed vibe. Strong fan & a/c make it a nice place to get away from the heat. We've eaten here a bunch of times and everything has been good. The malai kofta was delicious & they have the BEST chai around!

This place has the best chef in all of India. Every dish he made was delicious. The prices cannot be beat for the quality and portions. My girlfriend and I ate here for almost every meal we had while in Agra. There is a great variety and something for every one. The hardest part about eating here is deciding what to order because it is all so amazing. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the place is very clean. Would recommend for any travellers visiting. This is a 6/5 stars place.

Nice small place with AC and wifi. The food was good (we had a light lunch and not very spicy). We went for the malai kofta. We also had banana lassis, which were very good. We did get some issues the day after, so the food (potentially the lassi) didn't work out very well for us. But it was light and we recovered a few hours later. If you have a sensitive stomach, I would stay away from the lassi. Otherwise, I recommend coming here.

A simple restaurant. Walkable distance from Taj Mahal south gate. Food is prepared to order as per our request. When you visit Taj Mahal, this is the best place for hygienic food close by.

Joney's Place in Agra is a must-visit for food lovers. The friendly staff and warm atmosphere make you feel at home, and the menu offers a range of delicious options. However, the limited space can make it a bit cramped, so be prepared for a cozy dining experience. The incredible taste and attentive service make Joney's Place a standout restaurant in Agra.

Joney’s Place is the true beacon of food. Joneys Place is truth and light and all that is holy. It is a wonderful place that is 100% perfect in every way. Be in awe. For nothing is as beautiful as Joney’s Place

Meals were not very tasty. Paneer dish had grated cheese on top, which was unnecessary and didn’t taste very good.

The place said to be one of a very famous in the area and has been around for years. However# foods just barely eatable and place is really small. Staffs were really nice though.

Very nice place, close to the Taj Mahal. Waiters and owners of the restaurant are soooooo nice, and they are very good aviser if you want to taste Indian food and you don’t understand a simple word in Hindi. I took a Malai Kofta it was really tasty !

They served crispy burnt Nutella pancake and when told repeatedly they just cut away the crispy part from the sides and served the same. Pancakes are not papad. And the person servicing should learn how to treat "desi" customers better. Avoiding us right now just because he knows he has served wrong.

Juices, sandwiches and malai kofta. We would have ordered more dishes but that was suffiecient for the time. Superb taste, prompt orders and nice presentation of the food. hAd a wonderful experience at the joney's place in taj ganj

Charming little "hole in the wall" or "hidden gem" of a place. Absolutely the smallest kitchen on the planet! :). I had the Indian omelette which has onions, vegetables and some spices. Also had the toast with diced tomato and cheese, a milk coffee, fresh mango juice and a banana lassie as I had read their comments book and there were many people raving about it. The raves were well deserved. It's like the best tiny little banana milk shake you could think of. Incredibly delicious. The omelette was done very well - lovely seasonings. The mango juice was also incredibly flavourful. Only downside to the entire meal was how small my milk coffee was, but I can easily grab one to go at a cafe on the way.
Wish now I had taken photos - the interior has been modernized - it now has an American diner look to it.
Would definitely visit again if I visit Agra.

It's the best place you can enjoy having breakfast after your early morning visit to Taj Mahal, you get out from the southern gate and get here. Order as much as you want, the prices are reasonable and the quality is satisfying. The best part is its friendly and nice owner

This place is over hyped. The food is okay nothing great. The ambience is bearable. Little over priced as compared to it's competitors around.

Awesome experience in this tiny little restaurant. There are literally four tables in there, and they crammed all the flavours into their dishes as they do people in their restaurant. That being said, the heat (as in spacy) was obviously turned down to not burn tourists' mouths. The service was immaculate, with the hosts seating us, talking to us, and making sure everything was beyond satisfactory. We topped off our meal with a banana Lhassi, and couldn't have enjoyed the experience much more

Very disappointing experience. The place is claustrophobically small yet that isnt the worst thing about it. The food was extremely below expectations. The staff seemed to not give a s**t. And hygiene-conscious folks should definitely give this one a miss.
Joney's Place seems to be best known for the early morning breakfast you can have before the Taj Mahal opens at 6-7am (depending upon season) or immediately after. It currently sits at #6 on TA for Agra and is mentioned in both LP and Rough Guide. What took me by unexpected surprise was the 15 or so Korean tourists on this morning squeezed into this tiny place of 4 tables. It could have been an anomaly, however given the walls are covered with Korean and Japanese menus promoting (assumably) packet ramen, it's probably a place to visit for Koreans akin to some European restaurants where every single American visits.
