Review Chokho Jeeman - Agra

Snehil Jain
Truly a gem!! Chokho Jeeman has consistently been my go-to place. Ambiance is warm and inviting. The staff is courteous and attentive, always ready to ensure a delightful dining experience. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed! :)

I am not too generous when it comes to ratings. But this one was a fantastic place. Great ambience, beautifully decorated and appropriately lit. They have taken the effort to give it a very rajasthani feel. very helpful, friendly and warm staff. Superb food. Reasonable prices. Some other well known restaurants serving good and tasty food in agra have increased their prices, as compared to that, this is a blessing. They serve pure jain food. They do not use Onion garlic at all. Dine-in menu offers only thali options. Extra items from the thali are available at addon but reasonable prices. Additional options are available in packaging (take away) form. They also serve breakfast between 8 & 11am.
Pradeep Kumar
It's an amazing place having many options to dine in with family or friends in beautiful ambience with unlimited serving of sabzi and roti whichever is provided in your selection of Thali. Lovely place, still no change in taste of meals, best place to visit.
Amit Sharma
Based on Rajasthani /Marwari Jain theme. They only serve thali and Vegetarian dishes.
Subh Verma
Very good ambiance.. affordable unique style marwari jain thali restaurant.. food is less spicy and taste is good. Staff is also good.. Kids may not like the variety of foods.. Shutterbugs will surely like this place.. very popular among nearby towns residents.
Rishabh Chaturvedi
A Marwari Jain restaurant with great ambience based on Rajasthani theme. They offer different kind of Thalis (Plates) with unlimited food. The restaurant offers Jain food in which they don't use Onion and garlic as per Jain tradition. The place is must go if you want to enjoy less spicy traditional jain food with great ambience. If you go there then Chhach, papad and Gwar Fali is must try.
Aakanksha Roy
Awesome ambience and very very tasty food. Had Maharani thali. Ghee roti, chhaach, gavar fries were amazing. Must visit for tantalizing your taste buds with authentic Rajasthani cuisine.
VPS
Food is bit more over average , it is less spicy and completely Sattvic . You have the option of ordering Bal Thali if you have kids along with you . The quantity or potion provided in ghee thali is sufficient for a single person. Fried gwar fali is something which many would find good . A nice atmosphere & ambience and you may be able to find parking if it's not a busy day .

A pure vegetarian and Rajasthani style restaurant. Ambience of the restaurant defines the Rajasthani style architecture. This restaurant serves only Thalis ranging from Rs 180-Rs300 and you can eat till your tummy tells you please don't eat anymore 😉🤪.
nishtha sharma
I visited this place after recommendations and it was totally worth and the ambience of this place is so beautiful and the food was also good in taste but if you are looking for varieties then this place is not for you. There are two type of thalis only which you can order here. The food served here is without onion and garlic and the prices are also reasonable. Ambience 5/5 Food 4/5
Moon Child
Like most Rajasthani places the restaurant is designed to feel like an authentic hut with clay walls and 3d window painting etc. They have several thali options and you can pick from the ghee/non ghee options. Recommend a reservation as most days it's at capacity and may not be able to accommodate large walk in groups. Due to the crowd service was definitely slower but overall a good experience cos food was great.

This place is quite good for those who eat vegetarian and especially not interested in onion 🧅 . Like my daddy I was quite unsatisfied with the services this time due to heavy crowd they were unable to serve chapati and filling properly. This place was heavily crowded that day. Rates are preety genuine. Food quality is so so in terms of taste . There was a maharaja thali and ghee thali which we ordered. There was not much difference in it and even the salan of allu and allu panner was same . I am disappointed ☹️ this time . Please take care of few points 🙂
Manoj Sharma
Had ghee thali with my family, service is very good. Seating arrangements are good. food served looks fresh, hygiene is maintained. A good option to those who want jain food.
Yogesh Garg
Service is good but their is some restriction one thali only for one person, cant share with anyone ,so unethical rules without sharing how food is more tasty
Foodie_vish
I'm a fan of Rajasthani Food. And if you also like rajasthani food then must try their food!!
Packaging was also nice

They serve excellent food in restaurant but delivered food was not at all good.

Based on my order dated 18th August 2020, I.e. after lockdown, the quality of food specially the sabji and dal you provided are worst.

It seems that after lockdown the main focus is on earn maximum profit in minimum sale. As the prices of thali are too expensive as compare to the quality of food.

Roti's are fresh no doubt and sweet dish (kheer) same taste as earlier.
Ragini Milan
I used to visit this place so much when I was a kid. My mom dad love marwadi food. The thali of the place is unbeatable. The jain food is so good over here that i don't wish like to go anywhere when i want to have something without onion and garlic
The chaach they serve before food is so good.
Food ,service,staff, interior 😀😀
SREERAM
I Love Maharaja & Maharani thali
Nisha Dhingra
During my visit to Agra ,this outlet was one of my best dining experience. Totally Rajasthani based interior ,look & feel of the outlet. The thali is quite well served accompanied with chaas/lassi & papad. I dined at night. The thali consists of Dal ,matar pulao ,kadi , aloo, raita ,salad ,mint sauce & kheer. It was a complete meal. Proper authentic taste . The dining experience here is one of its kind. Highly recommended outlet. Must visit .

Rajasthani culture can easily be recognized by their language, clothes and above of all their food menu.If you are a gastrophile than rajasthani cuisine would be on your list, but it is too difficult to find such place in your state, city or town which serves best rajasthani food with the same rajasthani feel and surroundings. But you can say by luck AGRA,the city of love has such place which is a must visit one if you love marwari dishes.

Consistent and soulful - that's Chokho Jeeman for you!
10 years ago or today : this place proves to be an evergreen.
What I desperately wait for is the kachri that's served as appetiser.
But , the baajre ki roti steals the show.

Nice place i am wisited but some time its service not good, good food. Good quality. Higgins environment and well behave persons working in this restaurant
Brijendra Singh
Food is no doubt good and traditional, especially dal and kadi are excellent but service is very poor and slow, even after getting your table you have to wait for at least 30 min.
Jatan Singh
The quality of food is very good and I am very happy.I am recommending it for. I'm so happy. I love it. And its rate is not too expensive.Eat here once a meal

Amazing place to take your family out for a pocket friendly meal.

Ambience: 4
Food: 4.5
Service: 3

Scope of improvement: Service of staff, if you have to call them umpteen number of times to get a service. The restaurant wasn’t even full on that evening.

Choko jeeman.. as the name says it holds the essence of rajahsthan.
With its rajashtani village look interiors of lanterns and mudas it gives you a feel of rajasthan.
Padharo mahre des.. when talking about food with two categories of thalis ; saada thali and maharaja thali consist of daal, rait, and 4 seasonal vegetables with the add ons of chutney and achar wplus kheer and radgulla. Rotis consist of plain roti, bajra roti n missi roti.
When you want pur ghar ka khana.. this is the place
Himani & Sachin
Simply the best place for vegetarian food, whether you want to order in or go there and eat.
The gawarfali and hugggeee variety of starters are beyond delicious
Anupam Sherry
seasonal bajra roti not provided

Chokho jeeman at Agra is well known for its thali style marwari food.
We tried Ghee thali here which is quite simple in taste. Kadhi is quite amazing along with Fried apetizers. Chhach(salted buttermilk) is also good.

Ambience- 4/5
Staff- 4/5
Food- 3.5/5

Chokho Jeeman Marwari Jain Bhojanalya
Kulveer
Nice Ambience,simple yet delicious food!!!
Basically serving thalis, less spicy food and for a change good place to try.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Anika Gupta
We went to this place for a quick lunch during our day trip to Agra, and this one place was the highlight of the trip for us!

My first thoughts were why would I have marwari food in Uttar Pradesh as this ain't Rajasthan. But, glad that we did!!!

This is a must go to place but make sure you have enough appetite which is true with any place serving thali.

We ordered Maharaja thali and maharani thali, both having different dishes. The palak paneer, daal baati choorma, chaach, rasgulla with the mild rose flavor, even the kachori and the tikkdi, kheer which was not over sweet are few of the dishes to look out for!

Top this with very attentive and courteous staff, and you will have a satisfying meal. Or rather good enough for 2 meals!!!

However, do make sure to take a printed bill. As an award citizen, I would not want people to evade taxes by not giving me a printed bill, which they kind of avoided and was printed and presented only on demand. Whatever be the reaaon - a customer should be presented the bill for payment and not just told the amount. It has ti be in the books!!

All in all - a delightful place to go to, and I would definitely make it a point to go here, whenever visiting.
Sonam Kathuria
I ordered maharani thali but where is gatte ki sabji , kachori , churma , kachumar salad..there is so less quantity of food and quality is bad, no rajma only gravy is there , kacchi roties served.. totally waste of money.
Mercy Choudhary
The ambience provide a dive into Rajasthani culture. Food is good specially Choorma and chach. But 1 person 1 thali may result into food wastage.
Archita
A must try place for a foodie like me especially if you love veg scrumptious thali meal , from starters that is freshly prepared chaach (buttermilk) to whole meal with dessert is so amazing and delicious , trust me you dont want to skip on this. Even their interiors go well to keep up with the ambience.
Though as the thalis are quite lavish , would recommend to keep space in your tummy before trying them out as you wouldnt want to waste the food.
RASHMIMANOJ AGARWAL
Chokho Jeeman's fresh food service @ restaurant is much better in Quality & Quantity than packed Thali.
Avoid packed Thali as you don't get money's worth.
Devesh Pratap Singh Sisodia

It's a must visit place if you are in Agra & want to experience Jain Marawari food. Ambiance, food quality & taste, service, interior are very nice. I love their thalis & yes! my dad too.

Don't forget to try Maharaja Thali.
TheCharismaticExplorers
Chokho Jeeman is an excellent choice if you want to have thali system food in the city. The food is scrumptious and the quality is also amazing with affordable rates. On top of it the catering service is well appreciated.
Definitely a must try place with friends and family👍
Shagun Agarwal
Pathetic experience for navratra thali. The thali which has 4 small pooris, 4 pakoras, 2 spoons of kheer, 2 spoons of fruit cream & aloo sabji cost for 250/- bucks & instead if you take 4 extra pooris & 4 extra pakoras that will cost only 80 bucks. The kheer & fruit cream is useless. Pathetic quantity & variety. Highly priced... please avoid
Ankita Bansal
Pathetic service, too slow. Please avoid Navratra thali, its a loot.. only 4 poori and little sabji, and 4 pakora for 250 bucks.. very bad service..
Vikram Saraswat
very ordinary food.... daal and sabji are literally "watery", roti are as tiny as they can make, hardly saw a drop of ghee on rotis... hopeless
Vertika
The meal has gone cold
Palak Arora
Known for it's famous Jain Marawari thalis, this place is a must visit. The food is aunthetic and the ambience goes pretty well with the Marwari culture that is tried.
Alok Agarwal
Ultimate destination for perfect meal. You will love the quality more than anything else. But amazingly the ambience is also quite astonishing, clean place, courteous staff and reasonable price. The food is so simple that you can have food on daily basis without upsetting your stomach
Priya Sandeep Singh
I have been at this place many times and always love the food. If you want to eat simple and light food it's amazing. They serve you the tawa Roti continuously and this gives the feel of home. They don't serve very masaledar or heavy food. Service and ambience both good.
To know the detail review you can check out my channel Yummy Mummy on YouTube.

Exactly the place for people who wish to go out with family to have light and homely food. Their humble and quick service adds to the flavour.

This is hidden gem of Agra serving Marwari food with the influence of Braj Region !!This place not only serves great food but hospitality is overwhelming.

Splendid village themed homely ambience. And totally awesome themed furniture. Totally worth eating multiple times. Courteous staff.
Its a rajasthani marwadi thali. Maharani Thali is the one to go for.
Love it here. If you are looking for a decent lunch, this place will blow you away.
Parul Gupta
A pure vegetarian restaurant serving only jain food is a good place for people who love Rajasthani and North Indian Cuisine. I would recommend you to try the thali at Chokho Jeeman to try some of their best dishes.
Kapil
It never disappoints with its fresh food and quick service , not a typical marwari food , but they have a blend of north indian food , a word of advice try to eat at the restaurant the food taste much better when served hot instead of home delivery
Puru Mishra
Ordered two thali , roti were very small , dal was smelling bad and taste of all items was like if they were served after a long storage

I hope they will improve the quality of their food
Abhishek Jain
rotis were badly baked
Sags504
The food is so tasteless that it is wrong to say it is food at all.And on the name of creativity they are zero same repeated menu from years day and night still dont know how to make them tasty
Food Guruji
Authentic Taste with amazing flavour of jain marwadi food. For detailed Video Check my Youtube Channel: Food Guruji.
Amazing ambience with outstanding interiors
Abhinandan

Chokho jeeman
Famous for its jain thalis, the place gives you royalty feels through its executive interiors and food.
On one hand, the thali was sizeable making it impossible to finish; on the other, it tasted so nice that you wouldn’t want to waste even a little of it.Maharaja Thali is a must try there.
Prateek Jain
Famous for authentic marwari jain food with no.onion garlic. Homley taste, simple menu but bathed with pure ghee, best being fried snack in beginning.

This is awesome place interior is awesome you have a feel of Rajasthan culture here food quality is so good , you feel royal here entrance is also good and clean , service is little slow due to rush overall good experience

Taste 4/5

Ambience 4/5

Service 3/5

Quality 4/5

Go for it great location to spend time with family and friends

Rishabh Sisodiya
It's near the raja mandi railway station. Totally based on rajasthani food and culture(interior) they are serving traditional rajasthani dishes like papad ki sabzi dal baati etc.. Everything without onion and garlic But service is not good they take much time in serving chapati and dishes. Overall it's good place for new experience.
Kashish Jain
After a hectic day in 47 degrees, all you need is good food and this place is the destination to be! Amazing food, from papad to buttermilk. A must visit!

Shreya Gupta (WANDERLUST AND BINGE)
This place is perfect for the people who want a meal completely satisfying their hunger with sufficient food and within the pocket limits with the most amazing taste.
Ambience is nice based on Rajasthani culture.
Nikhil Kumar
Mecca of vegetarians, if you are in Agra do not miss to visit this place. Authentic marwari food and ambience, you would love the way they will serve you. Just make sure you have time to wait and then enjoy food.
Hemant Pandey
Thali is love. Plus the whole Rajasthani setting to the restaurant gives a wholesome dinning experience. Visited the place with family and everyone liked it.
PlAsh JAin
Very nice place for simple home type food. Ambience is really nice and clean. Staff is good, well mannered and helpful. Prices are also very cheap and affordable as for only 200 you get ur stomach full...
Aman Verma
Worst service ever
I reached there from very far away.at 3:29
And they refused to let me and my family eat
They have no etiquettes of how to deal with customers
Siddharth
Accroding to price food is good but taste not good enough & smelly entrance of resturants, they serve best items only one time in thali !! Salad comes only one time in thali
Sadaf Khan
It was traditional I have never been to such a traditional restaurant before .. Everything was given again but not the kheer which was disheartening
Anika Jindal
A pure marwari destination in Agra.
Seating is huge.
Having food there itself is good idea rather than pack it up and bring it home.
Different variety everyday to eat.
Vegetables according to the season.
Overall experience- good
Jigyasa Singh
Here you have to order only from the few options availbale. They are all different types of thalis. The taste was good and you will only enjoy it if you like light spices. Not recommended for spicy food lovers. Although the ambience is quit good.
Shubhi
Huge Thalis of goodness!!!
Eat all you can. No sharing
Rich Rajasthani food served with love. Wide variety of curries ranging from gatte ki sabzi to kadhi. They follow meal system with no sharing. If you are accompanied by kids, they also have Special Kids Thali for them.
If you want to have not so fancy yet scrumptious food...THIS IS THE PLACE!!!
Watch out for waiting list here.
Deepanshu Porwal
Basically a Rajasthani Thaali restaurant , Marwari themed. Visited on a Friday afternoon. Interiors were done elegantly. Food was okish except the Buttermilk (Chaas) that is chargeable after one glass. Still I had it twice. Portions r too less. Need to improve service as waiters were busy in themselves, one need to wait for their response. Otherwise I would have given it 3.5 ratings.
Guru.aarath96
Good food, nice ethnic ambiance and good service.
If you r planning to go by car then parking might be an issue.
Family restaurant, prices are reasonable!
Tushar Kapoor
Chokho jeeman is a place where you can enjoy the exclusive Rajasthani food which has amazing taste and aroma.
Been there like several times and would recommend every one to try atleast visit the place .. It very similar to Jaipur Chokho Thani..
Sunny Singh
Very poor service sirf naam ke liye home delivery Likha hai every time he says we don’t have staff for delivery plz cut the name of Home delivery
Soumya Agarwal
My first visit to chokho jeeman was when it was a small eatery some 10 yrs back. Now they have converted it into a pure marwaari theme restuarant. I liked their interiors.
Food is very light on the stomach and pocket as well.
Anirudh Bhandegaonkar
Great ambience, quality food under your pocket, worth going. Food quantity and quality both are satisfactory.

Great experience, Like home cooked food.

Arun Gautam
Absolutely stunning ambience and good rajasthani food. Approx 500 for 2 people.
Y visit- if u like rajasthani food with limited options
Y not? - if u are looking for lot of panner, alcohol or non veg
Mayank Rajput
Even though this one is quite a hyped and talked about place of Agra for good vegetarian rajasthani food (Thali system), somehow I didn't get a chance to be inside this restaurant despite crossing it on numerous occasions. Finally visited Chokho Jeeman this Sunday night for dinner and place was really busy. Ambience is quite catchy to eyes with those rajasthani village like decor and you can choose from 5 different thalis..being there on Sunday we zeroed in on Maharani Thali which is only available on Saturdays and Sundays. Food wasn't really lip smacking and was lacking flavor, service was a bit on the slower side too. Prices are reasonable. Go there for experience but surely not to please your tastebuds.
