An excellent restaurant. The 41% tax on the bill makes a large lunch for four about $10,250 INR. That said, the food was fantastic! We visited twice during our stay and the food is consistent and the portions generous. Staff very attentive with good English. On the 2nd floor of the Hyatt. This restaurant is worth trying even if you are not staying at the hotel. They serve a homemade spiced cashew on the table to nibble on. These should be sold on line! They are great!

Top notch place for authentic Chinese cuisine in the Hyatt Regency hotel. Worth the high cost as the food was on another level. Take your celebrations here when you are in town.

What a special treat! China House had a great assortment of dumplings and main courses. The staff was fabulous, and Chef Han was so friendly. He greeted us when we arrived and thanked us again for dining at China House when we left. The food was prepared with pride and was tasty. The portion sizes were suitable too. We enjoyed our time here. Very nice ambiance.

One and only restaurant in India which serves authentic Chinese food. Being closely associated with Chinese culture and food, I always crave for the genuine Chinese taste and flavor which I have finally discovered at this place. The ambiance is so cozy, staff and Chinese chef Han are so friendly. I was attended by the two staff member named Ushmita and Sudpita who were very energetic at work and enthusiastic to serve their customers. The price is a little high but worth to spend. Hats off to the entire team for their great work. Only suggestion is to teach their staff some basic Chinese language and about Chinese food habits and culture to add more flavor to their work. Would love to visit again in future. Posting some pictures here.

The best place for authentic Chinese food. They have ample options in vegetarian and non vegetarian both. Spicy food heaven plus drinks and dessert were complimenting to the food! Service and ambience is Hyatt standards! For me it was priced right as per the quality and quantity!

The Luxurious Pan-Asian Delights at China House, Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad Nestled within the esteemed Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad, China House emerges as a culinary gem, offering a tantalizing journey into the heart of Pan-Asian cuisine, with a special emphasis on Chinese delicacies. My recent visit to this distinguished restaurant left an indelible mark, as I reveled in the culinary excellence, lavish ambiance, and top-notch service that defines China House. As I crossed the threshold, the sight of the restaurant's numerous awards at the entrance set the stage for an exceptional dining experience. Each accolade stands as a testament to the restaurant's unwavering commitment to culinary brilliance, solidifying its position as the hotel's most decorated dining venue. Positioned on the second floor, China House boasts an exclusive lift from the ground floor, underscoring its exclusivity and refined character. Stepping into the thoughtfully designed seating area, I found myself immersed in an ambiance of sophistication and opulence. The meticulous selection of interiors and the exquisite cutlery work in harmony to transport guests to the heart of a traditional Chinese dining experience. A defining feature that sets China House apart is its open kitchen concept. As I observed the chefs in action, I was not only treated to a visual feast of culinary expertise, but I was equally impressed by the spotless and hygienic conditions of the kitchen. Amidst the bustling activity, the kitchen's impeccable organization and cleanliness underscored the restaurant's dedication to creating a pristine dining environment. The gracious and attentive staff added an extra layer of charm to the China House experience. Their warm welcome and efficient service ensured that every detail of the dining affair was executed with care and professionalism, enhancing the overall sense of luxury that characterizes the restaurant. While the menu prices fall within the moderate range, they align seamlessly with the expectations of a premium 5-star establishment. The cost is justified by the sumptuous flavors and meticulous presentation that define each dish. With each bite, I embarked on a culinary voyage that transported me through the rich tapestry of Pan-Asian gastronomy. In summation, China House at Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad presents a symphony of exquisite Pan-Asian cuisine, opulent surroundings, and impeccable service. From the array of awards adorning the entrance to the immaculate open kitchen and the attentive staff, every facet harmonizes to deliver a dining experience that transcends the ordinary. For those in pursuit of a dining escapade that seamlessly marries luxury with authentic flavors, China House unquestionably emerges as a destination that surpasses all expectations.

First Impression You wouldn't think much of the place when you drive by, since there's construction work for Metro in progress. But as soon as you enter the place, the grandeur hits you right in the face! The tall hanging roofs, the shiny black exteriors, the silently flowing water fountains, everything just oozes luxury - one can't help but think, what is life for, if not this! We leave the car keys with the valet, and head to the first floor, where the restaurant is. Service As soon as we get out of the lift, we are greeted, very courteously, by the maitre d, who shows us to our table. He then leaves to get us the menus, and lets us know the specials - and seems overjoyed when we decide to go with the specials. Very courteously, he leaves us to ourselves, and goes along to start prepping our meal. Throughout the entire meals, the attendant and all the waiters behaved extremely well and gave us no chance to complain. The service, beyond a doubt was impeccable! The ambiance As we came out of the list, we were taken aback by the high ceilings, and the posh-looking interiors. The decor is classy and you can think of just one thing when you look at the interiors - Orient. The decor goes very well with the name, the menu, and the theme of the restaurant. One thing, however, which I noticed is that the lighting is slight dim, but maybe it adds to the shadowy Chinese theme, which they are looking for. However, I must agree that the lighting does increase the visual appeal of the food that they serve, especially with the plates that they use for serving. Even the music playing in the background adds to the oriental/Chinese feel to the restaurant. Another thing which is noticed is that the restaurant may seem quite small in the first glance, although, as we looked around, we noticed that it is huge, with a seating capability of easily over a hundred to a hundred and fifty people. Food Waitan cooler The waitan cooler is as close to that perfect drink for relaxation that you'd ever get in a dry state. Hot & sour chicken soup with bamboo shoot The soup wasn't as I'd expected it to be - I'd expected soup more like a stock, but this was a heavy soup. Steamed Lamb dumpling The lamb inside the dumpling was tender and succulent, making the dumpling juicy - it was more like an explosion of flavors in the mouth! Chicken Garlic Chive Dumpling Although quite, good, the chicken dumpling could not match up to the standards that the lamb dumpling had set! Fried Chicken with Sichuan Pepper, Nuts, and Spring Onion The fried chicken was quite good, although, I'd have loved it even more had it been spicier. Dongu prawns with fried garlic and onions As with the lamb dumplings, even the prawns were extremely delicious. They were tender, succulent, and juicy, and the sauce in which they were cooked was extremely delicious. Kung Pao Chicken with with ginger, Chinese vinegar, Cashew and Peanuts As with Chicken dumplings, even the Kung Pao chicken was overshadowed by the Dongu Prawns. Roasted Pork with Bell Peppers and Homemade Chili Bean Sauce I could never imagine roasted pork being so soft and juicy, and yet - to my surprise, this roasted pork superseded all my expectations! Local Lamb Shank Hot Pot with fragrant Coriander buns Each dish that they served seemed to top the previous ones, and so was this - think sliced lamb shanks and pok choy along with flat wheat noodles cooked in a delicious broth, and served as a hot pot. Fried Noodles with Chicken, Bell Peppers, Spring Onion, and Bean Sprouts The noodles were well cooked and not at all dry. Caramel Rocher bar The caramel rocher bar looked more like a bar of chocolate served with caramel sauce on the side. Mango coconut cream brûlée The mango coconut creme brulee was also great, but since I didn't quite like the mixed flavor of mango and coconut. Chocolate mousse After the main course, the desserts did seem a little out of place - I was hoping for some Chinese desserts as well.
