They serve only veg Gujrati Thali and it’s super duper delicious. The best gatte ke Sabji I have ever eaten. They do not have valet parking but there’s free street parking on lane adjacent to them. In evening when the bank in their campus closes, one can park right in front of the joint.

Excellent vegetarian Gujarat thali meal. It was my first Gujarat meal so I cannot compare … but I really enjoyed it. It is very clean with air cond and service is nice and polite.

I normally don't give reviews but had to for for this one.. I knew the food was going to be good as I had read the reviews before visiting but the food was a notch higher. I normally don't eat sweets but their Shrikhand and Sheera were delightful. Had 3 times actually 🤣 Staff was courteous and the service was quick. Rs 360 for the Thali was totally worth it.

The Gujarati thali was really tasty, I had visited this places many times for dinner and always satisfied! The only thing I would like to suggest is to bring bright lights instead of yellow dim lights on the tables and the chairs need to repair or update it with new ones! The food was exquisite !!! I am a South Indian and I absolutely love the food !! It was not sweet at all , I was always told that Gujarati thalis are sweet , but it was reallllllyyyyy good !!! The service was quick and they ensured we got everything twice or thrice !! You get the Gujarati thali , nothing else can be ordered !! I wish they had more variety for the the price they charged !! The place was crowded and the washerooms were neat !!

Came here on a Saturday for lunch and waited 10 mins to get in. Totally worth it. The servers were all generous and super fast. The thaali in itself was delicious. All the dishes. The highlight for me was the shrikhand which had little pieces of chocolate in it and tasted heavenly. The jalebis were too yummy.

I'm not Gujarati, so I don't know how to appreciate Gujarati Food (yet!), but from what I could taste, there were a lot of different flavours on a single thali! I think this is more of an acquired taste for outsiders.<br/><br/>You should definitely visit the restaurant if you're in the area and if you want to try out the local cuisine. The thali is very affordable and is definitely worth trying!

I had ordered a "half-tiffin" online. While the food is good in taste and it is fresh too however the packing really takes away the joy. I expected it to be a food tray but they were all packed in different boxes and paper bags. Even the 'Sev Khamani' was delivered in a paper bag. I guess its best to eat at the restaurant than order online.

Well, its famous for food, and less oily preparation.. to be frank taste of some items not good as it should be.. for price they charge rs. 300 for dish, can't afford to give butter milk (50/ltr) for second time.. rest of food can take without limit even aam ras also. But butter milk chargeable extra for another glass.. i was served some tikki and dhokla as farsan.. tikki was not tasty that you would like to order for second time. Dhokla also not soft as it should be.. in one line unchi dukan , fika pakwan..

Hii I online ordered half thali which cost me around 400 rs in which they have some items where given in news paper cover and others in plastic box I would suggest you to check packing of Agashiya for Bhathu Gujarati thaki it’s amazing and cheaper than your . Food quality of yours and taste was really good . But packing make face sad and you are not even branding you name on online order box sometime it feels that it has come from anyo other small local restaurant. Your restaurant experience is really good I have been there more than 6 times amazing service food and quality . 😁😊😋

With a series of new thali places in town, Toran still stands out among the lot for its authentic taste and feeling of a basic Gujarati meal. The thali has the most sorted combination vegetables, farsan and sweets. Food is not too extravagant or oily is what I love about the place. The staff is extremely warm, courteous and understanding. If you want to take guests for a taste of Gujarati meal, this place is highly recommended.

I just loved this place. I was in Ahmedabad last week and was literally craving for authentic Gujarati cuisine and then my friend recommended me this place. You get to have an unlimited thali which is so pocket friendly. You get dal, kadhi, aaloo sabzi, paneer sabzi, rice, basundi, gulab jamun, roti, puri, different types of sprouts, veg cutlet, patra, raw papaya salad, 2 chutneys and a glass of chaas under Rs. 300. The place is also spacious and perfect to dine with family and friends. Would definitely recommend this place.

This restaurant is one of the best in Ahmedabad. I have visited 3 to 4 times and the quality of food is amazing. The food is light and not very oily like it is served at some places. The ambience is also very satisfying.

What can you expect when you visit a Gujarati restaurant. Not like all, the food was served with so patience and well mannered. The staff was good and humble. We never felt like they were in a rush inspite of such waiting outside. Food quality was not that good but yes it is worth a try.

If we go back to home and ask our parents about best Dining Halls in Ahmedabad, Toran Dining Hall will be the first or second one. They are old in the city and they still have maintained same taste.

I have been a regular visitor at Toran since 1991. I love the place and it's authentic and simple Gujarati food. Yesterday we went there for dinner and was very disappointed with their aam ras, it had some artificial flavours and it didn't seem like only aam ka Ras. I hope the authorities pay heed to it as I love the place and it's food. The rest of the food was delicious as always.

Serves good Gujarati thali but can improve by adding a few more items as compared to other counterparts. Buttermilk was missing in dinner and they gave option of choosing one from dal and kadi. Any way the overall service was excellent and prompt. Cleanliness and ambience were outstanding as well.

They Charge Rs 280 per plate of gujrati thali and charge you extra for the chass !!! We went to this place because of the reviews with high expectations of having an authentic Gujarati thali. The ambience, menu, service and quality of gordhan is far better than Toran dining hall. At gordhan the food is served in impressive brass ware, where as in Toran its served in ordinary steel plates. The cost of gordhan thaal is 335 per adult and Toran is 280. just with that Rs 55 difference, the gordhan experience is simply unbeatable!

I am visiting this place for lunch since last 10 yrs. Whenever I am on my business trip to ahemedabad I visit this place for lunch it serves one of the best Gujarati Thalis. The thing that makes it stand out of other dining hall is that the taste of its food is very much home like. It's starts to get full after 11.it has decent ambience. Every day there is different menu today I had 4 vegetable Sabzi. One aloomutter Karel a. sabzi. Bhindi sabzi. U get 2farsans. Bajari Ka roti. Paris. A glass of chass. I always overeat at this place. I wished they had a branch in Mumbai.

We went there for dinner and ordered for Gujrati thali. For 3 it was 900 including tax. The same thali at Gurudev, near station, vadodara is about Rs100. So in comparison it is costly. The food quality is avarage. When we eating the manager and staff were observing / staring to our thali .... which is more suffocating. The dinning hall is small and nondecorative. Overall rating i am giving 2 star.

Had the worst experience ever with toran. We are their regular customer since a decade. But today we went for a tiffin and a very bad service experience from all the waiters. Entire restaurant was empty, we were sitting post ordering food but the waiter escorted us to wait outside under sun during peak noon hours. We have a lot of respect for the owner as we were going there since last ten years. Hence we took the issue with the owner but owner also arrogantly said this is how we do things. All respect they earned for 2 decades gone in 2 seconds. Read my review for dominos and you will come to know what customer service is. Only point to put this forward is that I am fan of Gujarati cusine but not on the cost of such illtreatmemt. Their recent project of dudawat cafe is already closed and soon toran will have the same future.

If in your family 3 to 4 person and guys you are going to plan a Tiffin from Toran restaurant, so just stop your thinking right now. its waste of almost 700rs...this restaurant spoiled my family sunday ..after spending almost 700rs, we got 4 sabji, each not more than 160 grams, 20 chaptati of very very small size, in farsan 4 paatra, 5 smoking roll..and ya what to say abt mango milk shake? bccho ka school ka lunch box bada hota hai ...aapk ke parcel se..<br/><br/>guys if in your family 2 or 3 adults person so pls dnt plan Tiffin parcel service from toran restaurant ..go any other restaurant which mentioned sabji quantities also, so you can get idea and according to my previous experience some reputed restaurants situated on judges bungalow road...they are providing enough quantities and good quality food...at least 4 adults and one children can enjoy the food.<br/><br/>so go any other restaurant not this....and the old men seating on billing counter is so rude....his behaviour to the customer is very bad...he should think that his business running due to this customer so at least he should give proper answer to the customer.

Just one word, great food. Toran as it says is very much place for good food. Thalis are too good and there specialty is the Aamras, best that one can have in Ahmedabad.

One of the finest meals I had in Ahmedabad was in this restaurant. The service is very prompt and the taste is fabulous. You'll get authentic food here with mouth watering side dishes. I strongly recommend having dinner her. The ambience might not be great but this is more of a family restaurant and the food won't disappoint you!
