Review 1944 Restaurant By Havmor - Ahmedabad

The most iconic chana puri of havmor is seen in its full glory here. And it has its nostalgic taste and look and feel. Makke de roti and sarson da saag was equally good. We relished the starters and crunchy rumali roti is always our preferred choice to begin with. You can go with family and friends and host your small get-togethers here.

Quality food and enthusiastic staff. This enthusiasm contributes to loud atmosphere here. Most of the noice is made by their own staff, who are busy handling people loudly. Waiting system here is pathetic, they won't call you if your turn comes, make your own arrangements to wait outside or roam around as they don't provide space to wait.

Lives up to its brand in terms of food and quality. A bit crowded at times, but managed well and is a great place to have a variety of dishes. Great ambience, could use a bit more lights still. Online and card payment accepted.

Iconic place and iconic restaurant of ahmedabad which is located on sindhu bhavan road. plenty of varieities of food. It was my 7th Visit of this restaurant including recent visit in February-2023 after 4.5 years. My one of the favourite places in ahmedabad. Quick service. Great place to spend quality time with family and friends. Amazing food with traditional taste. This time we tried assorted kebab paneer, cheesy cigar rolls, Hocco's Hot Pot soup and those were delicious and ofcourse their signature item Karari Roomali.

Food is average and quantity is very less compared to the price, also I tried the Tandoori and Naan which was not at par when compared to price of Rs 150 However Ambience is awesome.qnd family friendly They make amazing mojito at the Sindhu bhavan branch, worth it !!

Good food and a superb ambience but expensive also. very crowded on weekends. We tried Manchow and hot n sour soup both are super tasty, stuffed ravioli in neapolitan sauce was ok ok, karari rumali was too oily, Smoked paneer sabji and dal tadka jira rice was delicious. Sizzling brownie with venila is a must try, stuffed paneer kulcha was good. They serve good amount of subji and dal tadka jira rice that in 1 plate was enough for appropriate 3-4 people. Ambiance: 9/10⭐️ Food quality: 8/10 ⭐️ Staff: 6/10 ⭐️ (delay in food)

1944 the hocco kitchen is one of my fav fine dine restaurant ,Recently I had visited on new year with my family . After giving an order we had wait around 25- 30min . We ordered butter roti , potato Nest with palak masala( recommended) , karare rumali(try) , masala Chas and dessert Shahi kulfi faluda(must try). Food is awesome . But that day service was little bit poor. There is a very mesmerizing ambience.

This place will never disappoint you. They serve all kind of cuisines but their North Indian food is the best. My personal favorite is their starters. Overall it's a nice place for family dinners. Some of my all time favorite starters from this place are: Karari Rumali Roti Cigar Rolls Paneer Tikka Masala

This largish restaurant is a perfect blend of modern architect with the a subtle hue of 1940s décor. The food served here is a cavalcade of taste and texture and has maintained the originality of its quality. Havmor’s signature restaurant, 1944 features innovative contemporary Indian cuisine clubbed with some continental delicacies that create bold flavours with a modern twist. I recommend ordering: Sev puri, Chana puri, Baked Lasagne, Khowsuey, loaded Nachos starter, Paneer takatak quesadills, Paper thin pizza with basil and tomato, Oriental sizzler and Bombay Kulfi falooda.

Had been to this place a few times. Their service, ambience and seating is great. I had- Peri peri spiced karari- It was quite good. Loved the masala on it. Loved there red salsa chutney too. Chur chur paratha with dips- Frankly this was quite ok. I am not much into loving parathas so. Smoked paneer- Loved this subzi. I dont remember name of one subzi. It was a mixed subzi and was quite good. Had garlic naan as well as masala cheese naan. Cheese naan was yummy Atlast we had dal tadka with rice which was good too Apart from all this, have even had their balti paneer and dal makhani which too is very good.

One of the best North Indian vegetation food in Ahmedabad! Foodies must try their unlimited lunch! They should offer unlimited dine in options in the dinner and also on Saturdays and Sundays.

The ambience is really amazing. The quality of food they serve is also worth complimenting. The staff is really helpful and also well trained. What I didn't like is you have to wait alot before the food arrives. Overall, it is worth the shot.

Again one of the iconic brands from Mr D chona of Havmour brand a mix of Punjabi Italian Mexican and a bit of pizzas as well. How ever their chana puri are the most sought after by one n all even after more than 60 years in busineaa Punjabi is definitely good but a bit om the expensive side

1944 , Hocco , holds a standard of food to itself , promising consistency in quality , yet also offering diversity in its food choice . The deserts are unmatched , in quality and richness of flavour . One of the best places for anyone who loves chocolate .

Went here for lunch. Service was too good. Complete family restaurant with nice ambiance. Food was also tasty 😋 little costly than normal. You can visit the place with friends/ family, It had high waiting during dinner time so prefer lunch time if you don’t want to seat outside 😀. Overall very nice experience.

Authentic ambience of the times gonne by. The place does justice to its name in the way it portrays how a restaurant (albiet an upscale one) would have looked like in western nations (or few places in India) in 1944, soft lighting, lots of wood and brass, deep sofas. Full marks for ambience, down to the uniforms of the waiters that too are reminscent of the times gone by. The menu however is a lot more contemporary and not resptricted to a particular geography, which means that you can order pasta along with your butter naan, something for everyone eh? Indeed, It is more of a family restaurant as you will gather from the seating arragement. The food was good but not in the way that it would stand out, it was good and that is good, you'll like it. Menu options are varied as I said earlier and you will be able to find a favorite in there somewhere. Service was fast and I liked how they first give you popcorn as an appteizer while you are waiting. From a pricing standpoint it is a good place to go as well, nothing about the food or the ambience made me think that I was paying more than was I was getting. Worth a visit and then some.
