The Waterside Restaurant is a culinary gem! The food is exceptional, showcasing freshness and flavor. With a charming waterfront view, it's perfect for any occasion. The friendly and attentive staff ensures a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend! 👌🍽️

Very Decent and calm place to Dine-in, Atmosphere is so good. indian-italian-mexican Types of food available @medium price.

The place is precious for couples and candle light dinner. We tried hot and sour , manchaow and sour lite soup. In starter we have dragon ball which is stuffed with veggies and cheese which are tasty. Baked pinneapple macroni was also good. In main course we tried cheese butter masala (cheesy), panner lawabdar (ok ok) , butter roti and garlic naan. Jeera rice and dal fry was yum and we also tried steam rice and thai curry. Last one is masala buttermilk. Overall experience is good. Price are little bit high but worth for place and quality of food.

Superb place to hang out with family and friends. You share your treat with your loved ones here. Atmosphere outside restaurant is excellent to capture your memories with your dears.

Food quality is good. Ample parking and seating space. Indoor and outdoor dining areas. Outdoor dining space opens after 7:00 pm. Scenic views of the Narmada Canal combined with beautiful gardens gives you a serene dining experience.

The quality of food was good and the quantity was a lot. The prices are a bit higher than other restaurants but you'll get what you paid for. I've attached some photos of the taco and the sizzler I ordered. Also I've attached a video of the special preparations they do for couples (though it wasn't for me).

The menu offers a wide variety of items, from seafood to sandwiches and more. I opted for the grilled salmon and it was cooked to perfection. The vegetable side dish was also delicious, and the portion size was generous. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive, making sure that our drinks were full and our food came out quickly

The location of this place is very beautiful .. it's on the sideways of a canal and during monsoon it's even more beautiful. Before covid it used to have an upper deck overseeing the canal and an ac restaurant on the ground floor. The food is decent and has limited variety and is a pure vegetarian restaurant. As you walk in,there is a sanitization frame and there is social distancing in place. It's a place where you enjoy the natural view and food together away for the urban city setting.

This place is very peaceful and has very relaxing ambience. We ordered Mexican Tit Bit and Edible cigar. Both were above expectation. A must visit place for the ones who are looking for candle light and romantic dinner.

Lovely place on Riverside. Good food is icing on the cake.

I am rating this place 5 star because of the location, ambiance, service and food. It is exceptional in all terms. We visited for dinner in a group of 8 people. Seating arrangement is very comfortable and spacious. We started with hot and sour soup, Mexican chilly bean soup and turkish kumpir. Soups were very good in taste and turkish kumpir had very rich stuffing in to backed potatoes. Then we had margarita pizza, mumbai magic  pizza, dragon Manchurian, Arabiata pasta, Bangkok red curry and wok fried rice. We liked all the dishes especially Pizzas and pasta.

This place is AWESOME to visit during winter an summer due to its location and way it's setup. If you visit during monsoon you will be badly disappointed. Because of its outdoor ambience and pure candle light dinner with lovely music experience It's also famous for dating and young couples. Although we never faced issue even visiting with children and family.<br/><br/>Their Italian and Mexican food is different then other restaurants but will still give it 4.5/5 base on taste, uniqueness and quality.<br/>Their sizzlers were once really awesome but quality of sizzlers has went down in past few years.<br/>They also have separate indoor Punjabi restaurant with different name which is good but not outstanding. Doesn't makes sense either to travel outside city at such distance to seat indoor and eat Punjabi.<br/><br/>So far visited this place multiple times on birthday anniversary etc (from October to June) and tried different dishes and will give 4.5/5 for overall experience.<br/>For visits between June to October (monsoon) will give 2.0/5<br/><br/>Overall 4.5/5

As I sit in this open air restaurant called The Waterside @NarmadaCanal @Ahmedabad I came a gentleman named Mr Bimal who had the audacity to serve a Manchow Veg Soup with pieces of hair in it. Yes, you read it right, pieces of hair (P.s - not fried noodles) Imagine, on requesting Mr Bimal to remove the soup from the table, the gentleman insisted on there's no fault from their team's end. Infact, his tone had a feel of greatness being offered in the soup bowl. Thank you team #Waterside for serving customers with not one,but multiple strands of hair in the dark night. #Candlelitdinner

I am giving 1 star just for ambience. Definitely not worth by any means. Price verses taste and quantity doesn't match. Staff looks demotivated. Won't suggest anyone unless they want to waste time and money here.

Very pathetic food . They are just place the food in oven and serve it . In sep outside space is not open and they had just arranged candle in small banquet . Pathetic . Not recommended

We have enjoyed a lot with family for my son's birthday party.<br/>Decoration was wonderful with lots of Diyas (oil lamp), balloons and flowers.<br/><br/>Very beautiful view and garden. A perfect combination of testy food and wonderful nature.<br/><br/>Staff was very nice with their work and behavior.<br/><br/>Veg Manchurian Dry and Paneer Tikka was fabulous.<br/><br/>Paneer tikka lababdar and Tarkari handi was so testy.<br/>Paneer kofta in five spice curry was also testy but not that much testy as other two.<br/><br/>

Visited this place today after seeing the reviews. The menu is good with decent number of options. However, service didn't seem that great. It was raining and the electricity went off. We waited for the generators to come live but the restaurant team struggled to switch on the generator. We had to eat in dark as the food was already served plus there were so many mosquitoes due to darkness. Mosquitoes were falling in the plate. Operational generators is a basic facility we expect from restaurants located in remote locations wherein intermittent electricity is a common problem.<br/>Nobody apologized and over the top the staff says what can we do light is gone, not our fault.<br/>Pathetic experience!!<br/>

What to say and where to start from... I mean everything was PERFECT :) The view and ambience is totally worth going far away from city area. The dim lights play the role to take ambience to another level. Adding romance with a candle light is what you all need is. Hospitality is on the marks where every person gives you proper and much needed attention. Food is beautifully garnished with satisfying your taste. I ordered "Manchow Soup", "Crispy Shell Tacos" and "Cinderalls Cart Sizzler" which was beyond expectations for R&D. I recommend everyone to try these whenever they visit the place. Coming next to prices which are aptly charged for the dishes. My Dinner Date was made by the restaurant.. Thank You People for the good work and services. Will surely see you soon again :)

Its a very good place for italian and maxican food...you can enjoy candle light dinner!!! I had ordered quesadillas, bruchetta...it was yum💯 and the pirates of carribean drink it was also good... 4/5 for piperade..

3 Star Because Of Deck And Deck View. Very lazy in service. FOOD WAS REALLY DELICIOUS. but managment have to concentrate on table Delivery. Tabels are placed in distances. There will be no caption near the table. You have to search and look arround every time to get your order status or Order Something. Visited this place yesterday. Their ambience and seating is good. It is a outdoor seating restaurant. Their service too is quite good. I had one sizzler named "Cindrella's cart" which was good overall. Apart from this, I had their margherita pizza which was okayish. Prices were a bit on higher side. Overall average food but service and ambience were very good.

This is the best best best place to visit , located in the outskirts of ahmedabad. This place, I wanted to visit since very long time and finally I arranged candle light dinner for my wife on valentines day. Place was really very romantic and decorated very nicely. <br/>Perfect place for love birds to spend time and to create romantic memories. <br/>We ordered pizza that day and it was very tasty.<br/>We also ordered Crispy Taquitos and we disappointed as it was not fresh at all and look like it was cooked 2-3 days before and they just put it in oven and give us. <br/>Also ordered brownie with ice cream and they gave us without spoon and we have to wait for it and brownie became cold. <br/>We didn’t satisfied with food and we satisfied is with location.

The ambiance of this place has always been superlative and now the menu has been re-curated and completely revamped which is evident enough that this place should be included in the limited list of fine dine places of Ahmedabad.<br/><br/>The Orange and Pineapple Smoothies served in simple tall grass were kept orthodox, rich in texture and ample in quantity.<br/><br/>Beetroot and Peanut Butter Patties was a surprising fuision that worked out very well.<br/>This place has never dissapointed with sizzler, and so was the case this time. It was bang on.<br/><br/>Amritsari Chhole with Pita Bread was another fusion. "The Water Side" is one of the leading restaurants from many years. But now they came with Bang. They renovated the whole ambience and introduced another level of beauty.<br/><br/>Now it's also added in my favorite list. The garden seating is designed really well and there seems to be extra effort laid in it. Evening view at sunset time and night lighting at the place is love. 😍😍 Perfect place for candle light dinner under beautiful sky near River side.<br/><br/>They have two different restaurants under " The Water Side". One is "Piperade" which is specialised in Mexican, Chinese, Italian and Thai. Another is "August" which is specialed in Continental and North Indian.<br/><br/>They have highly trained professional staff and nice hospitality. With wide range of menu.<br/><br/>And the best part was their food matched the expectation along the beautiful ambience.<br/>I liked their garden seating and lighting most. Must try this place 😍👌

really awesome place. ambiance is 10/10.. perfect for families as well as couples.. they have different set ups for different cuisines.. piperade, August (indian cuisines) Deck etc.. food was really really to the point.tasty.. my most favourite on the menu was edible cigars.. The presentation of food was also great. must visit place especially for Mexican food. staff was polite and so were managers and owners.. The main thing I liked about them is that the owners are themselves chef.. so they can make their food better. most of restaurant's owners know nothing about cooking so they can't judge their own food.. but waterside lead in that... overall really great place and food

Recently I visited The Waterside almost after 4 years, and this visit has changed my perception about this place. This place was the one of the leading restaurants to popularize Thai cuisine and Sizzlers in Ahmedabad and that impression hadn't left my mind.<br/><br/>To my surprise, they have done tremendous work with fusion food, which is kinda need of the hour as everyone is serving and loving it.<br/><br/>I tried fruit smoothies including orange and pineapple<br/>Had Beetroot and peanut butter Tikkis, which were served with a Wasabi-Mayo dip, a mind-boggling dish 💯<br/><br/>Next favorite was Chole served with Pita Bread, this tasted different yet delicious, a must try 👌<br/><br/>Of course we had their special sizzlers and Punjabi main course, all good stuff<br/><br/>Lastly, we ended it with a Chocolate Mud Pot, which was poured with chocolate sauce, a treat for your eyes as well as your taste buds 🤤🍫<br/><br/>They also have one of the best ambiance, making this place a perfect for a peaceful date or family dinner<br/><br/>

First time visited Piperade for our anniversary celebration.. Awesome experience.. Ambience and arrangments was good and food was also good...

Oh my my!! Ambience of this place is lit. 💕 Perfect place for romantic dates. Food is tasty too, but I like the ambience more. Very spacious. Can go with friends and family too. Place is really nice. Location of the place is really great, near Narmada river and fine dine under the stars always from the city lights. We ordered Jain bruschetta and Jain edible cigars for starters and they were tasty(4/5). Cigar’s serving was really cute. For main course we had some paneer sizzler(*i forgot the name) and it was okayish.(3/5)

Excellent food, excellent overwhelming service - this is for you. One of the best restaurants i have visited in recent times. The menu is so detailed that you would love to order all of them, so in short you need multiple visits to this place to enjoy their offerings. The outdoor ambiance is brilliant. Must visit I would say one of the best mexican food I ever  had.

One of the worst Service ever. Doesn't do online booking. All that glitters is not gold. Even though it was my anniversary, still the idiot on the phone refused to take the booking. Know how to respect customers, schmucks..

The food was not up to the mark according to the prices. We were served food after more than half n hour and the people who came after us were being served before us. The quantity was too less for the price and the service was not up to the mark. We had to remind 3 times of our order, the candle light went out 2 times and it didn't felt anything like candle light dinner. There was no privacy, the tables were arranged almost next to one another and in the cold winter there was no proper heating system outside. The taste of the food was good, we ordered Cinderella's cart and mushroom and cheese minis on crisp.

Place is perfect for outdoor seating with beautiful soulful music in the background.<br/><br/>Food menu seems normal with not much to offer in choices and quality of food seems mediocre.<br/><br/>Improvement in service and food quality can be improved with changing times.

This is the perfect restaurant who likes different ambience and seating arrangements. Food quality is premium and taste is upto the mark whenever we go. I visited the restaurant 5-6 times. Little costly but worth paying extra rupees. One of the best restaurants in Ahmedabad.

The outdoor seating is not an option because of the rain so the banquet serves as the dinner place temporarily. We ordered :<br/>Pirates of the Caribbean mocktail and ice teas. Both weren't consumable because they had added some sort of masala/jaljeera can't be sure what it was but it definitely ruined the taste. <br/>Italian pizza in which they forgot to add tomatoes in the first place, the taste was not pleasant and the cheese smelled weird. <br/>Nachos which came in the form of croquettes, very hard and the filling was quite bland, lacked the tangy salsa. <br/>I had high expectations but sadly, it's just a fancy place with average food.

I love going to this place for its ambience and feel. It has fairly varied Cousine choices and some of them are awesome. A slight higher side of price for service standards yet worth the experience. Any new comer to Ahmedabad worth visit

Just reach at waterside at 10:59 for dine in from ahmedabad specially for having dinner and they refuse to serve us. We didn’t imagine that type of hospitality from your side. Manager told us that chef’s gone home and we show people’s are taking dinner their so how can your chef will go home without serving your existing customers.

Being frank the staff is the worst ever! Actually mei booking chaiye tha bday ka they were like mil jaega mil jaega come before a day ye toh jake aaye toh they are saying k wo toh renovation pe h we cannot give 1hour distance to listen this staff is just laughing worst experience ever dont go ye toh acha tha i went today or i would have stucked before on that day

A nice and lonely place... Might be the best place for couple to visit.. they do not serve Indian dishes but other dishes are marvellous... We ate pizza and many more things there... I liked the place especially the bill is given in a small post box... So a great place to visit and have many interesting things even we enjoyed candle light dinner there...

1St time visit to the piperade restaurant to celebrate my birthday with friends. The place is just awesome. The food was delicious. Service was excellent. Love to visit the place again and again..... I must recommend for awesome and good food and service...... Must try once....

Pathetic experience... Guys never ever think of going there unless you want to spoil your evening... They are not what is shown in their photos, the real picture is different.. The Staff is rude and manners less creatures... Food is not at all up to the mark. Never try the sizzlers over there.

The Waterside was one of the restaurants that I had heard of from many friends but never had the chance to while living all those years in Ahmedabad and I checked it off my list when I visited there just a couple of weeks ago. I’ll be honest when I say that, I was disappointed with the place; with the food and the ambiance.<br/><br/>They have two restaurants and we chose Piperade which serves continental and Mexican food. It was on the outside, in open with candle lights lit for you on the table. It might be a perfect setting for a romantic evening, but I’ll still like to see the other persons face. Since it summer, the experience to sit out was bad, as they don’t have the facility for cooling there. They do have Coolers but in the scorching Ahmedabad heat they are futile. I’ve heard praised about their ambiance, but I didn’t find anything worth, rather a hoopla. I would surely recommend inclusion of more dim lights to brighten up the place.<br/><br/>We started with the Broccoli Almond Soup, Minestrone Soup and Mexican Chilly Bean Soup; all three were unexceptional.<br/><br/>The tofu and cheese in the Crispy Tacquitos were delicious. They were served wrapped in a tortilla.<br/><br/>The Italian Arancini with Aglio Olio were rather surprising in its presentation. The rice balls were served with 3 different dips and injections filled with Olive Oil.<br/><br/>The Shanghai Paneer Barbeque was delicious as the paneer cubes were succulent and had a good aroma. But was not satisfied with the quantity in comparison to its price.<br/><br/>The Cinderella’s Cart Sizzler and Paneer Steak Sizzler were good. Both were pasta based. The prior one had penne pasta, cottage cheese and veg balls, and the latter had spaghetti with sautéed veggies and cutlets.<br/><br/>The mocktails were not great either.<br/><br/>I feel the management needs to make some changes to gain back the popularity. Also, please change the Menu cards. They’ve reached the end of their life.<br/><br/>Cheers!

This restaurant is famous for candle light dinner. It is situated beside the canal so a lot of bugs and pests come and take dinner on your table with you and due to darkness you can’t see them. The hotel management is not so hygiene to keep them away.

Amazing Ambience, Superb Food, Service can be Improved!<br/><br/>✓ Ambience - Located just near the River side & it being a park based Cafe gives you amazing feel at evening & night times. There are fountains in the periphery of your Seating & Candle lights at night time which makes it perfect place for Couples as well.<br/>On the other side, The candles were kept in glass containers which weren't clean, this can be improved. There were some nails coming out of the Table we sat on, that could tear the clothes & should be taken care of.<br/><br/>✓ Food - We had 30inch family size Pizza. It was huge and cost us ₹1000 without taxes but was worth it. Amazing. Even the drinks were nice, Fresh lime & Holy water for instance.<br/><br/>✓ Presentation - Was up to the mark. They brought bill in a post office box setup which was again quite different.<br/><br/>✓ Service - It was good but could be improved, The waiters brought the bill while we were having Food, As soon as the food was over they told us to vacate. This place is situated in outskirts of ahmedabad.. So location is a little far.. The place is huge and is very romantic for dinner dates.. the candle light dinner is very romantic.. the food is also good but in the water side there is no place to sit which has the view of water which is kinda upsetting..

Good ambience and seating arrangement out in the open however challenge is during windy times. Further the lighting attracts a lot of insects so you have to be very careful while eating outside. Totally beautiful otherwise. Food is good and staff ia humble as well.

An overhyped dating place in Ahmedabad but, one wishes to go out for food, not only for the place or its ambience. Good and savoury taste of food would be a good to work upon. Honestly, the seating is not even next to the canal.

The bad news: My friend and I went to Piperade on a weekday when there were exactly 6 other guests. We requested them to let us sit on a slightly bigger table - table for 4 - and the staff refused, they said that the manager is on a holiday, they have already placed the cutlery etc, they are not allowed to let people sit on a bigger table and so on. When so many other tables are empty, restaurant staff doesn't tell things like this. It was a mood-off. After a lot of requests, offering to move back to a smaller table and take our dishes along with us if more guests come they finally let us sit at a bigger table.<br/><br/>The good news: The food was quite tasty. The portions sizes were good. We ordered a stir-fried vegetable starter and a sizzler, both were delicious. Service was also quick. The ambiance is fantastic. Very quiet, laid back environment, cool and calm, right next to the canal, overall a peaceful experience. I'd definitely go again, hoping that the staff is friendlier.

So first things first.. Live music.. Outdoor seating.. And perfect ambience.. Thia place is perfect for an outdoor dinner. Went there last sunday with a bunch of friends. The staff was nice.. Service was fast. The only thing which I didn't appreciate much was the food. We ordered chefs special pizza, Mexican enchiladas, cheese fondue and vegetarian sizzler. So the pizza was typical gujarat I pizza with a hard base. The toppings and rest are much appreciable. The cheese made one of my friends sick although I heard a lot about cheese fondue before coming to this place. The sizzler was good and enchiladas came with a gravy which I didn't expect.<br/>Allover ambience and music is 10/10 but food was very average.

It was one of my most memorable night of life. Visited couple of times before but this time it was special. I had very nice candle light dinner with someone special. Music was superb. Ambience and the dark energy was quite appealing to me. However food was okay and service was also not upto the mark. Still I m giving 4 star ratings only n only for atmosphere and the night....

I visited this restaurant very recently and I found that the ambience was pretty great and they've really got a good amount of space to explore the seating arrangements. The construction of the dome (I don't know if that serves a seasonal shade purpose or not) was the best part apart from the kind of seating they had.<br/><br/>Service was bit of a problem because there were many miscommunications happening amongst the waiters and the group I was with, but the staff was polite enough to not really argue. So, the service has to be cut some slack for their presence of mind and maturity of handling issues and the service.<br/><br/>Food was great, especially one of the fruit drinks (I forgot the name but still) was amazing. The noodles were a bit too salty for my taste (but then again, I don't put too much salt in my food, so maybe the saltiness felt a lot to me). The spaghetti, oreo shakes and the pizza were amazing.<br/><br/>Ambience: 4/5<br/>Food: 4/5<br/>Service: 3/5

If I want to define WORST FOOOD & WORST SERVICE I would name it THE WATERSIDE <br/><br/>Ambience : 4/5 <br/>Food : 0/5 <br/>Service 1/5 <br/>Overpriced<br/><br/> Yesterday went there for my birthday party and choose the open area seating the ambience around us was good but sadly that was the only good part of my visit.<br/><br/>We ordered manchow soup that was ok ok . <br/>Then we ordered Bombay magic pizza for that I would @say the road side vendor make good pizza than them . <br/>And waiter refused to serve the pizza too.<br/>The we ordered sizzler : For the rubish sizzler they made us to wait for 35 minutes then sizzler came THE WATERSIDE is first in Ahmedabad to serve Maggie in sizzler with incompletely seasoned veggies .<br/>First time in my life I'm feeling fooled by paying 400+ taxes for simple Maggie .<br/>No service for water was cherry on the cack.<br/><br/>Conclusion with worst food and not good service it is overpriced place .<br/>

Credit for 3.5 rating goes to ambience and the Burmese Soup. If you are a true soup lover, please try the Burmese Soup there. You will simply love it. In addition to Burmese Soup, I ordered Wok Fried Rice, Hunters Shashilk Sizzler and the Crispy Taquitos for starters. Taquitos and Wok Fried Rice were of Average quality and the Shashilk Sizzler was of below average quality. Hope they improve the quality of these three items in future. Overall, it is a nice place to eat and have fun with your friends and family.
