I've got to say the lollipop chicken was amazing! Butter chicken and butter nan was so full of flavour. 100% a must visit! Service is good and quick too.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at ZK, a non-veg restaurant that left me utterly impressed. From the moment I stepped inside, the warm and inviting ambiance set the stage for an unforgettable gastronomic journey. In dishes I have tried, Malai Tikka and regular Tikka are great. Butter chicken in main course and Biriyani was delicious. What truly sets ZK apart is the exceptional quality of their ingredients and the masterful skill of their chefs. Each dish was prepared with utmost care, maintaining the perfect balance of spices and textures. The aromatic curries and fragrant biryanis were a testament to the restaurant's commitment to culinary excellence. Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was also top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, recommending dishes that suited my preferences and making sure my dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary.

Good restaurant especially for non veg lover on relief road. The hotel doesn't have very good ambiance but it not bad either. The food served was quite delicious and we visited twice to the restaurant during our visit to AMD. The service can be improved a lot. The waiter are not attentive and it makes the visit uncomfortable since if you need anything they are not readily helpful. All in all good place for delicious food. One should not hesitate to visit this place.

The overall food was good , but the service was not so good. We have to call the waiter several times to clean the table and still he was not coming. We were quiet unsatisfied with the service but the food was not compromised.

Tried chicken tikka and Chicken biryaani here. And as expectations it was really good food.

I have been going to zk since last 15 years now. I love their chicken Baghdadi with roomali roti. Their white tandoori with Pineapple raita is awesome. And mutton keema is out of the world. All these years their taste hasn't changed a bit. Even today it tastes the same as it used to 15years back.

Horrible food quality. I really wonder how they have a high rating. The amount of colouring they add to the food is freaking crazy. Probably the worst meal I have had in ages.

Last 2 orders i am very disappointed with the food which i have received. Food was unsatisfactory at many levels like Taste, Quility of food and packaging.it was a fully waste of our money and due to this incidents will never order food again from Hotel ZK.<br/>

They deliver wrong tasteless food parcel. Firstly they don't confirm your order even after 15min of payment then deliver wrong item which is totally tasteless.

I have ordered a Achari chicken tikka but it was totally waste of money the chicken was not cleaned properly nor roasted properly and the taste was not good as well.

Had been a customer of the old bhatiar galli outlet since it opened, and had been send someone to pickup from there.<br/>I tried to order from these hotel of theirs, but alas food didn't meet my expectations.<br/>Ot was too oily, butter chicken seemed to be made out of the leftover chicken pieces.<br/>In short didn't like it and won't be ordering from it.

We always look forward to going to hotel zk whenever we come to India. However, this experience left us with a very negative feedback about the restaurant and it is literally off the visiting lists. Poor maintenance of the hotel, there were cockroaches around the walls, floor and the chairs too!<br/>We ordered boneless butter chicken, plain rice and butter naan. Butter chicken was tasty as always. However the butter naan turned out to be “burnt” naan.

Very bad service, swiggy n other online parcel orders were taken in between & who came to eat there were kept waiting, after long waiting food taste was rediculous , no taste at all. Even spoons also got in between after asking them.

I'm giving here one star because it's a lowest possible here. Last night me and my friend, as we're regular customer of zk fry center (bhatiyar gali) went to their restaurant near relief cinema. I really had worst experience there. First they took our ordered and after waiting for like 20-25 mins they told me that mutton chop is not available. Seriously i went there because of the mutton chop. And then we ordered two dishes in which bheja fry was tasteless and Rogan Josh was below average. Found a hair in a chapati. Really it was a very bad experience for me and my friend. I recommend you that their Fry center is much good as compared to their so called restaurant.

Very old hotel...Used to go out with frds in college days..Today I went there n order chicken 65, Chicken tava fry with butter chapati n chicken shezwan rice..Food was owsom.. n pocket frdly in terms of bill..if u preferr spicy food..tell them so they will make it spicy..Next time I will try mutton items..

One of the most frequently visited place for non veg food in Ahmedabad .Pocket friendly with great taste .Tandoor chicken ,Butter chicken are must try items.Although ambience is average but food quality is good..

It's difficult for a hardcore meat eater like me to stay without non veg for long, even in a state like Gujarat which loves veg khana. Now, if you want good non veg in Ahmedabad, you will need to head to the Old City. So off I went to ZK in Relief Road to give my tummy some much needed meat. <br/><br/>Frankly, what I was expecting there was quality Mughlai cuisine. What I was definitely not expecting was some outstanding Mixed Grill non veg which they serve as a sizzler. <br/><br/>ZK will not surprise you with its decor. It's quite nondescript, comfortable but casual, with a laid back air that reflects in the service. <br/><br/>I ordered, along with the Mixed Grill, some Chicken Baghdadi with chapattis and ice cream for dessert. The Chicken Baghdadi is nothing unusual, with a rich creamy base, tomatoes, lots of chopped coriander and tasted somewhat like Chicken Butter Masala with a cherry on top. Not too bad, if you are willing to overlook the Baghdadi in the name. <br/><br/>The Mixed Grill reminded me of sizzlers at my favourite Mocambo. ZK did the sausages a tad differently, using sausages stuffed with minced meat (a bit like seekh kebabs but fatter, and juicier). It tasted excellent and was quite filling. However, they give you only a handful of fries (which btw, was soggy and not crisp) and veggies. But on the whole, the Mixed Grill was well worth the money.

I have tried Mutton Rogan Josh over here as well as Mutton Curry both are good in taste. You can get Tawa Roti over here that is a plus point. Chicken Tangdi Kabab, Eggs Bhurji are also tasty. One of the best non vegetarian restaurants in old City area of Ahmedabad.

Visit this place during my gujrat trip. Ordered Plain rice, pea rice,veg polao, chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, butter chapati. They are very slow to serve the order.We waited for around 30-35 mins.Now coming to taste,pea rice veg polao was good but they were almost similar in taste. The restaurant is located properly on Relief Road and it serves North Indian and Chinese food mainly. We ordered one veg pulao,one peas pulao,one chicken tikka kabab masala,butter roti,chicken curry and plain rice. Though there was no significant difference between veg pulao and peas pulao,but both were delicious and quantity was enough for atleast two people. Chicken dishes were 'lajawab'. So if u are searching for any nonveg restaurant in Relief Road,just go for this.

I had heard a lot about this one from a few friends of mine living in Ahmedabad. I finally got the chance to visit this place (courtesy of sister). <br/>We ordered a plate of kaleji fry and jhinga fry, along with a plate of chicken Hyderabadi biryani. The jhinga fry was well seasoned and delicious, whereas the kaleji fry was quite bland. The biryani was good, but I have had better Hyderabadi biryani. <br/>Overall, it's a good place to visit for nonveg lovers. Will surely go there again to try the other items off their menu.

Extremely shitty and unhygienic place. Never been to such a dirty restaurant in life! The waiters didn't know how to serve. I ordered a tandoori chicken and had put the bones on a small plate. When I asked the waiter to serve butter chicken, he just tossed the bones on a tray and started serving on the very same plate! Also, the salt dispenser was covered with oil. The saunf bowl had something stuck on one of its edges. And fishes, oh God! Somebody needs to clean that aquarium! And the floor too! Such a horrendous way to run a restaurant!

Overall the food of this restaurant is good but the ambience is not good at all over there they don't have even proper lighting when we had gone to this place after advance booking of the table then also we didn't got the table till 11 pm we have booked the table at around 8 pm and the person told it would take just an hour for the table to get empty but we had to wait till 11 not advised for going to this place on holidays or weekends but in case of food this restaurant is good I personally like butter chicken and their chicken mix platter but this restaurant should do something in terms of ambience and lighting

My acquaintance with the brand ZK had happened largely through numerous food stalls,food trucks and fair grounds in Ahmedabad. They have all been pretty ordinary experiences.However their relief road resturant turned out to be quite a opinion changer.<br/><br/>My advice to all trying this place out-"please focus on the mutton". Each of their mutton dishes were extremely well made and had a distinct taste and flavour. Soft,succulent portions going extremely well with the rotis and nan.<br/><br/>The place deserves a big thumbs up

This place is my chicken destination since i was like 3 or something! (Just like a chicken hatched from the egg). Most Favourite restaurant of mine going here since age of 4, Chicken Tikka,Murg Mussalam,Paneer Butter Masala,Veg & Non-Veg Hyderabadi Biryani and how can i forget 'Full Chicken Tandoori' it used to be my favourite till 2014 after that i became a fulltime Hardcore Vegetarian,four times a month that's once a week i visit this place just for its irresistable taste, as many would not like its OldSkool Interior and but believe me the food will make you forget everything else, Must Visit Place for a True Foodie.

This is a very old restaurant in ahmedbad, they started out with a road side tawa, which still exists in the old ahmedbad city area, my personal preference is still the tawa, but you cannot take your family and loved ones there, may be once just for the experience.<br/>At the restaurant we ordered first the Mutton mughlai, it's popularly otherwise known as the safed gosht (white mutton), thick, rich and smooth textured gravy, no spice at all, its really delicious with well cooked small mutton pieces.<br/>Second thing was the mutton bhuna gosht, again thick gravy but this one comes with a nice amout of spice and masala in it.<br/>Third was the bheja (brain), the bheja here is not that great, they mix egg white in it to increase the quantity, so it's not pure bheja.<br/>Fourth was the fish fry, with a single bone in the center, it's not that difficult a task to eat, shallow fried in oil with masala, it was decent.<br/>Fifth was the murgh achari tikka, chicken tikka pieces marinated in tangy masala, its got a sour taste to it, it tastes better with the green chutney and onions.<br/>The ambience is ok, they've got two floors so there's plenty of space to accommodate a lot of people.<br/>

Great place for those who enjoy nonveg indian preparations such as tandoori chicken. My friends gorge over it like crazy. For vegetarians like me, the tandoori paneer tikka masala is lovely. Even the kali dal and rotis. A favorite hangout with friends because the food is just so lovely. Hygiene could be better.

The price of the dishes are pretty reasonable...<br/><br/>There are three major reasons of giving this place a ratting of 2:<br/><br/>- the quantity meat in all non veg dishes is paltry<br/><br/>- most of the dishes biryani and all are pre cooked and ready to serve you place the order and it is served in 5min, only the tikka are prepared fresh<br/><br/>- while paying the bill the manager had the audacity to ask for the pin of my card, are they not trained at all or what I dont know but few innocent customers who dont know the importance of the pin number to be kept as a secret could fall trap to this...

Pathetic food.. chicken sweet corn soup was sweet as hell.. the naans were sweet, burnt, hard and thick.. the butter chicken had shredded chicken n I don't think dey even know wat Afghani chicken is... never gonna order anything from here ever..

Really good food. The white chicken pesto & tandoori were great. And very economical. Perfect for college students on a tight budget who want to enjoy some good chicken dishes.

We were 6 people n captain informed us to sit upstairs though there were 4 empty tables with 14 covers (6+4+4). Upper outlet was cozy n sweat odour all over.<br/>The delivery of service was poor. Sunday Night. 4 people. Service was slow, but it's okay it being Sunday and place being crowded. Below average interior. Dirty utensils. <br/><br/>Ordered chicken tikka sizzler, which was literally served in hot catch-up. Main dishes were Mutton Rogan Josh and Chicken Baghdadi which were quite ordinary. What disappointed me most was quality of naan. They were thick like pizza and sweet because of sugar added for fermentation I think. I'd recommend Nishad any time over ZK.

The best non vegetarian restaurant in this area, serves good mughlais curries and tandooris. Portions of rice are huge and the manager is very friendly and helpfull with the tourists.

First of all Elegance is good from the front , i found that it is true this place is bit cosy but i am a foody its merely matters for me . I tried garlic kebabs , chicken pesto gravy and finished with hyderabadi biryani. It is a place with versatile menu .<br/>A good advice for u , while ordering tandoori or nan etc make sure u order 2 round at the time of serving of 1 round only otherwise it will take much time.

What a relief! Located in the heart of old City (relief road), this tinted glass old time restaurant is quite a relief from the chaos that surround you in this part of the town. It also quietly makes up for the dearth of good non-vegetarian places in a veggy paradise that Ahmedabad is (veg pizza Hut?? Come on). Saw this place listed on Lonely Planet and just followed instructions from there on. Amazing service and finger licking good food. Was very excited to try the so called "legendary restaurant". But didn't turn out to be the one for me.<br/><br/>Quick pointers:<br/>Ambiance - The aroma as you enter is all you are really wanting. The ambiance is not quite that pleasant. The bones lying on the side tables was not a great sight to watch.<br/><br/>Service - was slow. The servers hardly keeping a check over you.<br/><br/>Food - Expect a lot of oil in the dishes Tandoori Chicken was little dry and quite burnt on the sides. We ordered two main course dishes - chicken musallam and other one. I<br/>The taste was just okay. Nothing special as expected from this place.<br/><br/>Overall an okay experience. I will surely not be a repeat customer !!

This place is for some serious non vegetarians who do not mind tacky streets and road side eating.. Basic menu but super taste.. All Fry items are must try.. Just giving them 4 as the surroundings are not very clean and little smelly as well, ZK not to be blamed for it.. If u can bear this, then its a must must go place in Ahmedabad

A good starter and decent non veg. Couldn't try their speciality as they were not having it when I went. Their non veg platter is really good if you want to try out their starters. Quantity is also good

We went to ZK a couple of weeks back in a huge group after a long day's work and it was worth it. The ambience is okay. Because the place is pretty small, everyone is audible to everyone, it would seem.As for the food, it was definitely above average. We ordered roasted chicken for starters and it was delicious. For main course, we ordered Chicken Pesto, Mutton Rogan Josh, with Tawa rotis and Mutton biryani, with Thums Up (apparently that's the only soft drink they have) and buttermilk to down it with.The Pesto was shredded chicken in a brown gravy and tasted good. The Rogan Josh was just okay. I personally really liked the Mutton biryani while some of my friends thought the mutton could have been better cooked. The buttermilk was good!The service was a little slow, yes but not a complete deal breaker.All in all, definitely a place I'd like to visit again.

Horrible ambience. Pathetic food. Awful stench and repulsive service. They make you wait for like hours and the food is uncooked and stale. <br/><br/>A must visit if you wanna treat some unwanted guests cos that's how they make u feel.

ZK is like one those places beyond the gastronomic. More about the preservation of a culture of the past. Evident from the same de-glamorized & unpretentious furniture, cutlery or upholstery. But mostly for its food. Because come what may, you might find something equally good but you will never get this same flavour-profile anywhere else.<br/><br/>Staring from the average biryani/tandoor/champ that it serves with its own style. Hearty proportions, a bit on the greasy side, fresh ingredients, spicy yet not overpowering. And really succulent meat.<br/><br/>I should have placed an order for one whole mutton leg champ. Needs to be ordered a day in advance & collected the next day. Can't say really feel bad about it. Need to save something to come back for.

Best non veg restaurant in ahmedabad. Class ambiance with quality and taste. Non veg lovers will not return disappointed from this place, amazing taste.

We went at this restaurant long time ago.Location is in busy area.We ordered chicken soup which was average.in main course we ordered mutton gravy and butter chicken.Though quantity is good but taste was not good as expected.Overall good restaurant.

Restaurant acha hai aur uska khana b acha hoga but mera experience bahot hi ganda raha hai ye log sirf restaurant pr khana khilane me hi  acha serve kar sakte hai but parcel service me bad & bad.....<br/><br/>Abhi currently ramzan mahina chal raha hai so mera experience bahot hi ganda raha.. on yesterday....me iftari packet laya jiska cost 675.00 hai muje wo mehmani me rakhna tha aur jab iftari ke waqt cheeze dekhi to itni si chije thi jiska cost 250.00 rupees b nahi hoga na hi kisi chij par kuch naam likhai diya tha aur ek b items achi nahi this it was very very bad experience...ye log pamplet par aur bahar bord me achi achi item likhte hai aur detekya hai bakwas hotel hai logo ko bewakuf bante hai .....ye ifteri packet 2 bande b nahi kha sakte hai..aur items is not proper wash & not any item boneless...is se acha to "wow restaurant & pleasure trove restaurant"' acha aata hai good...<br/><br/>& jab mene wapis call kiya unko ke ye chije aapne kese di hai na hi salad or onion, na hi green chutney to wo bole ki hum nahi dete mene bola aap ek baar "wow restaurant" ka iftari packet laakar khaiye to aapko une kuch sikhne ko milega sirf 700.00 rupees me wo dete hai but aap jaisa bakwas nahi to phone hi kat dete the ye inki dadagiri hai....bhai giri se baat karte hai...alag alag no. se b phone karne ki kosis ki to bar bar phone kaat dete the...<br/><br/>They are not respect the valuable customer & not understand ...<br/><br/>Thanks.....

As mentioned by many it is a must go place for any non vegetraion food lover.. But beware if you are going on weekends it might get very crowded and u might end up waiting for 30 mins to 1 hour.<br/>Now coming to the food although I personally don't eat mutton,but judging from the feedback from my friends who tried it , it was pretty good..<br/>Must try in mutton: mutton chap, mutton biryani<br/>Coming to chicken I liked the chicken kadai and chicken curry. Tandoori chicken was pretty good , was cooked properly was perfectly juicy<br/>But if you are one of those guys who like a well decored place better to give it a miss as you might feel it lacks on that front..<br/>For guys who just want good food at reasonable prices where you can dare to experiment with the menu ZK is the ideal place for them..

ZK is legendary for three things: <br/>1. Tandoori Raan (a whole mutton leg roasted to perfection; needs to be ordered a day in advance)<br/>2. Dabba Gosht: Ahmadabad has a good population of Bohra muslims and the food cooked at their place is simply divine. This recipe is one from the traditional Bohra Kitchens and is only available at ZK commercially. Its softest cooked mutton in a super rich cashew and cream gravy spiced perfectly with with green chillies to create that amazing balance that once you have eaten it, you are hooked for life. It comes with a fluffy cooked egg white on top and goes perfectly with their tandoori rotis<br/>3. Hyderabad mutton biryani: Its their own take on the Hyderabadi recipe and believe me its much better than most of the biryanis I have eaten in Hyderabad. Soft chunks of mutton, birista onions and hard boiled egg with amazingly fragrant rice mix, served in a terracotta  dum handi. <br/>Every time I travel to Ahmadabad, its their Dabba Gosht that I eat there and pack a couple to carry back with me to Delhi. Its truly a legend!

We visit there often with family.  Enjoyed mostly items of their manu. All are superb. Specially, you can try FRY items like Bheja fry..... Dabba Gosht etc...

If you are hard core die hard chicken fan h<br/>This is d heavenly place for you people. Very nicely maded by the chef with proper spicing and all. The location is a bit conjusted and place remains too mch crowded but you will forget everythg when u ll start tasting the food

A small local restaurant in ahmedabad . They serve amazing chicken , mutton , biryani ..and the kebabs. Had one of the best meals here. Would not mind another visit.

Food quality was so fresh and chicken was proper cooked , serving manner is also proper , fabulous taste , budgeted food , worth for dinner ha ha ha ha

Never knew you could get good non-veg food in Ahmedabad. Came to know of ZK online. After reading mixed reviews I finally decided to visit. Its very close to bhatiyar galli. You get the same taste as bhatiyar galli but with ac and comfortable seatings thats why the price is little high but its still decent as compared to metros. Had rohu fry which had a taste of its own and the special masala added flavour to it. Then had mutton chap fry which was really amazing, meat goes into the gravy making it very rich and textured spicy though but definitely worth not missing if you are a non-veg lover. Try any tawa fry item

Its decently priced with the typical old city serving style.<br/>The food how ever has a lot of colors which don't wear off even unless you wash the hands properly twice.<br/>The taste and quality of the food is reasonable but then again justifies the price for the food.<br/>Its a good place for a budgeted meal in the old city other than the famous "Bhatiyar gali"

Came to know about this joint by my dad, dad left non veg and I have taken up his position, what a food, especially mutton chap, smooth and spicy as ever, Tawa and hotel both are awesome, depends on which ambience you prefer raw or comfort....

We were searching for a good non veg joint in Ahamdabad on our first visit there and was recommendedby our Taxi driver.ZK is located in the old part of the city on Relief Road very near to Batiyari Gali -known for its non veg street food..ZK offers a variety of nonveg delights.We had Mutton Roghan josh, mutton sheekh and Tandoori chicken. All the items were well coocked, barring mutton sheekh which was a tad dry and hard.<br/>A safe bet for non veg food but reach early during weekends otherwise be ready for 30 to 45 minutes wait...place is a little cramped. ..

ZK is a famous restaurant among non vegetarian loving crowd. Me and my friends went there for lunch, but honestly speaking i was totally disappointed the food sucks. Every single item we ordered was full of oil. We ordered tandoori chicken, tawa fish, butter chicken, garlic naan and drinks and roti. the tandoori chicken had so much colour and oil that it was a total mess the colour on the chicken was so powerful that it stained my hands and fingers for few days. The fish that we ordered was old, dry and stinky. The flavour was awful. The butter chicken was full of oil grease. I will have to say that the garlic naan was really really good even though it was oily but tasted good. The butter that they use is not standard brand they use some kind of cheap s***. Overall i will not recommend this place anyone who is looking for good quality product.
