Had lunch platter there..!! Reasonable and overall taste was good. Has many other options to eat rather than just Punjabi food. There were varities of sizzlers , baked dish etc... Also if just for snacks mood ...there are too like chana Puri , sandwiches, french fries , pizzas , shakes , ice creams etc... If in mood of eating South Indian that too is available like idli , dosas , uttapams etc... Cold coffe with ice- cream was delicious enjoyed it!! Overall a nice family restaurant to visit as variety of food for all you will get. Enjoy!! There is bakery also so if you have sweet tooth enjoy there cakes , cupcakes , pastries... Bakery items are also available to purchase.!!

It is a very good restaurant serving best quality south Indian food with great taste. They also serve Punjabi, Chinese and other food dishes but they are having expertise in preparing south Indian food. As krunal restaurant is famous for its south Indian food many visitors and local people in that area are familiar with their food taste and its quality so they trust on it. The services are very good and you can enjoy the food with your family and friends.

I recently dined at Kunal Restaurant, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The restaurant offers a wide range of food options to satisfy diverse palates. I had the opportunity to try both the Chinese platter and the Punjabi thali during my visit. The Chinese platter was a burst of flavors, and the Punjabi thali was an absolute treat. The taste was impeccable, and it left me craving for more. One thing that truly stood out was the cleanliness and hygienic setup of the restaurant.

I had a dinner here And I was feeling very satisfied It is 46-year-old restaurant One of the oldest restaurant of Ahmedabad… You will get pastries and cakes too to celebrate birthday events or anything while having dinner.. 10/10

Old and renowned restaurant in Ashram Road After decades charm is feded. Quality food and service is the only thing they serve. Tried their bakery items and they are even superior. Had many lunch and dinner and never disappointed

If you do not want to go out side the city and you want to eat fresh food you should defenetly go there. Food quality and food test is much better than any restaurant on this road

My First time at this well known restaurant and was impressed with the taste and the quality of the food. The food was fresh and well presented.l would say the service has a scope of improvement by upgrading their servers a bit. Ample of parking space and easy access as it’s on the main road. Payment can be done in any mode ( No check please). There is nice bakery/ Sweet shop just next to the restaurant. The place attracts both the families as well as college goers. Thank you for awesome food and the service.

This place is famous for its South Indian dishes as well as for North Indian food. We love to enjoy Chhole-Bhature and North Indian Thali here.

Alright folks so this review is just specific to one thing that I eat at Kunal and that is their Puff! Man I have never had a Puff like theirs anywhere in Ahmedabad. Always fresh, always tasty and the taste is consistent for ages. Their puffs are never a let down! Always reliable and light on the pocket.

Like the seating area. Ample of space. Well mannered staff. Standard food quality and taste over the years.

Fantastic value-for-money food available at the restro. Paneer Khurchan is their best dish though the Rotis were a bit hard, the Naans were very soft. Also, the South Indian food and Choole Poori were excellent. Thumbs up to Kunal.

Palak cheese dosa, Chinese dosa we are south Indian lover so ordered that with a twist of China at midnight.<br/>We liked the sambhar because it generally doesn't make your tongue palatable everywhere but this place got good marks for it..😉😋 dosa authentic and good to eat and taste

We are on holidays and after visiting river front we were really hungry, my friend a local guy took us to this place, children's ordered dosa and idli and medu vada and feel taste more good than Mumbai,<br/>Crowd was decent, interior was good, we ordered makai ki roti, paneer __ sabzi from there winter special menu, and aloo methi, butter roti, masala papad, chaas, jeera rice, dal tadka, and more.<br/>Food was really really very very good.<br/>No complains really no complains .

I have been visited Kunal till more than thrice .. nice ambienCe . Nice staff and services was also good. I have tried manchaw soup , it was good in taste as well as quality. Chole and puri , pizza , noodles sbji , dal makhni .. chole puri is nice .. n pizza is okk okk n rice and dal also good but noodles is awsome😍 . I like noodles alot here taste of noodles is delicious!Overall good . Can go wid family as well as friends as a frnds meet. Not crowded place .. ambience is somehow old but good to visit . Rates also normal. Good place to spend tym with family as well as Ur loved ones!

I was at hk clg and wanted to eat something quickly so visited this restaurant. The ambiance of this is little outdated and food was also ok ok. The behaviour of staff was really good. Only visit this place when u r in hurry otherwise there is lot of better options are available on ashram road

I have been here but that was a long long time ago, and honestly I was not planning on going here for lunch but I was at work on Ashram Road and since all my colleagues recommend this place, so I went.<br/><br/>In terms of the interiors and the decor and ambience it's a little too dated, that's what I feel<br/>.. !! This restaurant has been here at this very spot for years and I think a revamp of the whole place menu and everything, will bring some much needed freshness to this place ... !<br/><br/>I tried the Masala Dosa, it's good, nothing extraordinary or knock your socks off good ... ! Crispy dosa, a good quantity of the masala, the Coconut Chutney was good, the Tomato Chutney wasn't anything to write home about. I also got to taste the Chole Bhature, wasn't too impressed with it, a little too oily and the Chhole weren't as flavourful as on would expect.<br/><br/>All in all a 2 out of 5.<br/>A long way to go if this place wants to hold it's own in the future.

The worst ever food tasted yesterday in Kunal . I ordered for paneer pasanda by intimate not to make spicy when it's come and I have tasted really can't imagine word to write. No taste at all only spicy without any Punjabi taste. They put green chutney inside paneer it's horrible. Don't ever go if u r Punjabi food lovers

Garlic Bread, Masala Dosa, Chinese Food taste is nice but price is very High.... Sambhar, both Chatni not good in taste. visited first time in this restaurant but price is high so may be some time public will not be come once again.

I have been visited Kunal twice till now, in first visit bhindi masala was too good, wheat tawa roti were good, during second visit tried some Chinese, noodles were full of food colour and too much oily,<br/>Crispy vegetables were okay nothing different....<br/>During weekends it is usually very crowded that you have to wait for so long..<br/>Overall experience was an average, the old same dishes with nothing new...

It is peculiar feeling that you'll surely get quality food when you decide to go to a veteran restaurant where your previous generations have had dined. They are still in the business means they are quiet serious about what they do and they must be damn good at it.<br/>Case was somehow but different this time when in a scorching Noon of June 2017 when I had no lunch arranged and I decided to hit Kunal Restaurant for tummy filling.<br/>In Fixed lunch pack two veg curries they give were far beyond awesome, no complaints for sides as raita and soupy beans curry was tasty.<br/>My only complaint was butter roti, when you are a generations old food spot and you give hard, half burnt roties that's where game goes out of luck and you loose a point.<br/>Overall it was a nice dining experience.<br/>Here is my rating.<br/>Ambiance : 4/5<br/>Location : 5/5<br/>Food taste : 3/5<br/>Food Quality : 5/5<br/>Price : 4/5<br/>Snaps for your consideration.

One of the best restaurant on ashram road. Good ambience. We were almost 17 person enjoying here. Management suggested us to sit on first floor which was actually a banquet but yes it's specious to have a dinner. Best food, best service. Chanapuri and cheese garlic bread is superb....

Have been to this place many times, We have tried almost every thing here. But sandwich, puff and pizza are my favorite here. As my friend stays near by, we prefer take away instead of dine in. Had tried Dosa once and would not recommend it.

Kunal restaurant have a bakery shop just beside the restaurant.<br/>It's a brilliant bakery shop. All the cakes and pastries are awesome in taste. I've almost had all the varieties of pastries they make and all of them tasted like heaven in mouth.<br/>(5/5 for the bakery.) ;)<br/><br/>Best of all is black forest and chocolate truffle pastry.<br/>Other bakery items like biscuits, cream roll, puff, samosas are great. The make fresh buns and breads too. I have been visiting this place since last 7 years, it has never disappointed me. :D<br/><br/>On contrary, the restaurant's food is okay. It isn't exceptional or something but an usual one.<br/>They cook/ bake in a hygienic manner. I never had any complaint to make regarding the cleanliness. The staffs there are very polite.

I have been here so many times because the chole puri of Kanal isnt compatible... But other than that every item here is awesome.. From punjabi to Chinese to bake dish anything you order you would feel it worth the money.

When the workload in the office is more always order food from Kunal . The food pack is good though sometimes roti is cool ànd very hard but other food is taste wise good.

I have been visiting this place since long for having some light snacks and to buy cookies for my home.. I always try their vegetable puff.. Small in size but big in taste.. Found fresh every time.. Also they serve cookies and other bakery products at very reasonable rate..

I only like chana puri here. All other things I don't like ( bhaji Pav sandwiches etc etc) service was very bad. Not recommended but if you r there than strictly try chana puri nothing else. No idea about its North Indian food but snacks are worst

As ate puff & pastries at krunal snack shop so I tried to take dinner with cousins, we ordered golden dragon ( Chinese ) was below average no taste in it. Roti was good , soup was okay and cheese butter masala was also ok

My experience with this restaurant was not a good one. The ambience of the restaurant is good. But the quality v/s price is poor. The taste of the food was not at all par with the prices. The staff was making mistakes in taking order and also while paying the bill. The service too seemed lethargic.

Thecfood here is very delicious. I ordered fix dinner thali. The subji tasted too good. The quantity was also good. Really appreciate the efforts.

I personally prefer this place. At the price and taste its a real good place. Earlier used to be very quiet but now has become noisy. Kunal restaurant is favourite from my college life. Its food quality is too good. I like dhosh and uttapam very much. Sambhar is so delicious. And Its Hydrabadi biryani is so testy. If you eat one time every visit you also order it. Its service is so fast.

It was really bad experience. I was with our entire office team and food quality was so bad as well as service was even worst than food quality.

I went to this restaurant with my dad. He said it was their favorite hanging spot during their college days. We ordered a dosa and uttapam. The service was very quick and the sambhaar was the best I have had Recently. The Dosa was crisp as instructed, the uttapam had perfect amount of onions on it. I could see my dad relive his college life as he hurried through that uttapam. He said it was still the same. Overall a good experience, will try other items next time. 5/5 an extra +1 for the quick service..

Went there once, it was just like a regular restaurant ordered fixed lunch which deserved 3 stars. The reason it is still in business is that the area has 2 colleges and more than 3 corporate houses within 250 meters. So it means there is nothing special about it, just a regular restaurant for a regular day.

The main reason kunal is working is.. there no gud place to hang over near it.( mc d-city gold are bit far, pernenia is near railway station, girish is selling only juices) Plus it is located just besides hk colllege n CS institute n offices. Eating out at Kunal was not a plan but it was hot summer day, had work around Ashram Road, was hungry and with no intention to go far, I inquired with an acquaintance to suggest a place to eat nearby. Kunal was the suggestion and so I landed up at this eatery. I was also told that Kunal serves good South Indian food. It did turn out to be true!<br/><br/>It was early evening, the place was almost empty and strikingly spick and span. Sticking to the suggestion, first ordered vada sambhar which was good enough and then rava dosa. Based on this small stint with Kunal Restaurant I would say, the food experience was good - almost average but better than expected, no fanciful ambience but seemingly clean and reasonable. <br/><br/>Kunal is worth keeping in mind maybe not while planning an outing but certainly as an option to eat when in this area.
