Review Max Kitchen - Ahmedabad

I dont know how the rating is 3.7. I will give 5 and would like to give the reason as well. There are multiple restros in Ahemedabad with Chicken dishes but there are very few who understand mutton dishes. Max kitchen gives a very unique taste of mutton. Its best place for mutton lovers and Max Kitchen please keep this quality like your are offering currently.

Due to the pandemic, we all are stuck in our homes, so we have decided to go to this place for a dinner date after a long break, I am extremely satisfied with what they have served & how they taking care of the entire COVID protocols. Kudos to you guys see you soon!! Thanks

The starter and the main course arrived at the same time. 😁 I don't mind that. Chilly Chicken was the best. The Naan and the Tandoori roti both went well with Kadai Chicken. The salty yet subtle taste of the kadai chicken satiated my craving for chicken as per my expectation. A bit too expensive as per the place but you can't blame them they are situated at a prime location. Would love to visit again.

It's feels elite to dine here. There's no washroom here, although it's not much crowded. Food is amazing ,. It's reasonable cost they charge. Overall great experience

Not good most of the time they don't have tandoori chicken

If you are in satellite, do try the dum biryani. Its better than 80% of biryani joints in Mumbai. Delicious fish and mutton kebabs.

Biriyani was awesome. I liked the Raita too. Presentation is unique and appealing. You would like the way you are presented with the food bill.

If you want to eat non veg food then max kitchen is the cool place to hangout. The mastery is in starters and birayani.

Had ordered afghani chicken and mutton dum biryani... The chicken was awesome but the biryani was cold when it came and didn't tasted as earlier it used to be. I am a fan of your biryanis.

I ordered chicken wings but unfortunately the wings smell badly and I didn't thik that the wings are chicken and what products are selling in market I don't know that???????????

Have been fans of your mutton biryani for years. My wife's favourite biryani in Ahmedabad. But quality and taste has suffered now. Big time. Took home a parcel of the biryani and a mutton curry today.<br/>The biryani was the blandest ever. Just no taste. Second time it has happened. And the mutton curry had an overpowering taste of tomatoes that made it sour and inedible.<br/>Really wish you guys introspect and bring back the quality and taste we have always loved you for...<br/>PS: the raita was good.<br/>

I had an average kind of an experience with the place ( I am a Punjabi who has had quite a variety of non veg preparations) , nothing very unique about the Afghani chicken, butter naan were better than a lot of places here in Ahmedabad.

Writing review just from the restaurant, I came after reviewing so many positive response for Chicken Handi Biryani and Mutton Chop. Unfortunately they didn't have Mutton Chop so do I haven't ordered Non Veg Kebab Platter. We had to ask for Water and Onion Rings multiple times. Water Bottle of Aava charged Rs. 35/- really!!!! Wherein restaurant isn't giving any luxury. Also I agree with most of the reviews regarding poor service. I found all staff was teenage boys and they didn't have any experience in Hospitality. They were busy in watching TV. Bizarre thing wash room is just inside toilet which is extremely tiny and I went to wash hands. God I could have vomit as it was extremely nasty and seems never flushed from weeks. I had to call for finger bowl to wash hands. They had few more guests and they were so much out of focus. As far as food is concerned Paneer Angara was good, Chicken Dum Biryani was not up to the mark, Chicken was hard and had very less spices/gravy. I prefer to go to restaurants like Knife and Fork, Ajay, etc. for Biryani. Giving 2.0 just for food.

This is one of my fav places to order food.. the best thing ive always enjoyed is the cheese butter masala with naan.. the taste is great, the quality of food is amazing.. the naans are always well cooked and not strechy like some places.. a spl tryout is the smoked curd and biryani.. overall an amazing diner..

Very bad experience. I had ordered veg biryani and they sent me chicken biryani. After I complained that my parents ate it unknowingly, the over smart staff on the other hand says ," I am pretty confident the order was not wrong!""??? what bullshit. They called back after 3 hours at 10.30 in the night and expected me to wait with the crap biryani for proof? REALLY sad behaviour from the RESTAURANT AND ITS STAFF.<br/> <br/><br/>What if their parent ate something substandard or unholy to them, would they behave like this then? SO COOL? A restaurant known for good food especially the starters and the biryani. I have tried this out a few times and mostly have returned quite satisfied with the sumptuous meal that's decently priced too.<br/><br/>However my first experience of ordering from here through zomato has been highly dissatisfactory. The order took more than 1.5 hours to deliver. Zomato says its the restaurants responsibility.<br/><br/>The food is delivered cold, the restaurant says i should check with the delivery boy. Since its not delivered by them. The delivery boy says his job is to deliver and he doesn't know the contents or the quality of contents.<br/><br/>Having paid online there is no resort left for a foodie in a situation like this when everyone refuses to take responsibility for delayed cold food delivery.<br/><br/>Choose and order smartly!

I visited Max kitched at the Durga Puja stall. Out of the 20 odd options I found the best tandoori chicken at Max kitchen. The chicken was well marinated , grilled to the perfection with the best oil and spices. The taste of tandoori chicken was perfect amongst all other stalls. We also tried Biryani , the chicken in biryani could have been better in terms of tenderness. The tangdi kabab , Mutton Chop were also a hit here. I am surely going to visit the restaurant after getting such nice flavor and taste of the tandoori chicken.

I don’t even know how to start , <br/>I just wanted to complete my lunch having it in a quite balanced way . Well obviously i had to order it from zomato when i choose a lunch pack worth 200, expecting it to be good enough for lunch .<br/>The restaurant guy’s cant even proportionate the amount of dal that would be required for completing atleast 20g of rice . Trust me the amount of rice they threw in would taste soo boring , cos they cant even give a substitute of basic Jeera Fried Rice instead of such boring PLAIN BOILED RICE , which you cant even have with anything offered by ! They had barely 5 table spoons of Dal maybe ! And quite a problem by them to decide the way they needed to pack ! Im sure not even the restaurant guy would be able to complete atleast 5 spoons of rice with the quantity of dal they offered , letting the wastage of rice . <br/>Nothing can be worse than their , FRESH LIME WATER WORTH RS.65 which was given to me in a plastic box which continuously kept leaking in the polythene that they brought in ! I mean you deliver a beverage in a box that is used to pack the curries ? Seriously and you expect people to pay 200 for that basic lunch ? And 65 for that salty lime’s water

So I ordered my dinner from max kitchen via Zomato. Biriyani for the first 3 bites was good and in the fourth bite I found this metal piece in the biryani in my mouth!!!!! Dissapointed. Although rating of the resturant wasnt good yet i gave it a shot!!!!! Got my answer.

The initial taste was amazing had visited before yrs when I loved the food but the recent visit was a bit disappointed as the chicken tikka we ordered was semi burnt but overall cleanliness, service and hospitality is amazing.

Ordered tandoori chicken amd hari handi from max kitchen. Worst service. Even after reminding to serve with bone chicken, served boneless chkn with extra charges. Taste was very low grade. Quantity way too less. Over priced. I dont recommend this place.

Being a true biryani lover, there isn't a single place in ahmedabad that can match up to Max Kitchen. Generally lot of restaurants don't usually understand what Biryani actually means and they end up serving u Rice which will have Vegetable/Meat in it which tastes no better then a Pulav BUT if u are looking to eat a genuine Biryani u should definitely try the Handi biryani of this place and am sure u will Flip. Its been more then 4 years that i have been eating from this place and it tastes exactly the same as it has always been which generally fades out in lot of restaurants.

It used to be good but not anymore. I've been a regular here for the last 4 years and used to enjoy their Biryani. Now they have reduced the quantity and unfortunately quality of food but hiked the prices. A non veg thali of Rs. 300 had only one small bone + fat piece of mutton. Very disappointing. Biryani tasted like gravy layered between the overcooked rice. I would love to see the owner notice this feedback and take corrective actions.

Good for occasions with friends, colleagues. Best, lip smacking, Avadhi Biryani I have ever tasted. Ambience is good, music is even better if you have tacky taste. Although the ikde time was a bit too much, but worth the wait. Definitely try the Biryani though...

Roti & Nan could be soft enough, so we don't have to stretch the rubber after delivery, rest all was fine. Papad was red as it was mixture os wheat & Urad.

I love to experiment with restaurants which serve non veg items. My mom was very much excited to take me there, as she and her office colleagues love their food. We ordered mutton Desi curry. Highly disappointed. Very mild taste, less quantity too.

A taste experience which one never forget. The menu, staff, service, food and place, all are awesome. Do indulge in relishing the cuisines. Mr.Maqsood who owns the restaurant guided us to the menu. We ordered Tandoori chicken and then in main course Fish Amritsari. Everything was excellent. Thank you Max kitchen for the wonderful food.

It's a small joint ... fairly priced ... especially the handi biryani is a perfect thing to order... whereas the non veg starters r less in quantity .,. And they do not serve roomali roti

1 is the least rating so have to give one else this guys don't deserve a zero even worst ever seriously worst ever i am the regular user of Zomato and i had covered almost all the restaurants near Makarba this is the worst from them,as i ordered packed lunch 1 veg & 1 non-veg food pack first it took almost 10 minutes for this guys to confirm the order (luckily it was COD) and usually other guys hardly take seconds to confirm,then they gave me the time for delivery which was at 1.56 pm and they confirmed at 12.57 pm for the order placed around  12.45 pm,even they quoted 1 hour which they want just to deliver fix lunch that's also from Isckon to Makarba which is hardly 10 minutes route but still i can wait one hour but i think they were confirming themselves that they are worst and lethargic,as the order came after 1 and half hour that also when i was about to call  he came after taking his own sweet time,then the delivery boy was not carrying the change as first you charge 50 rs for delivery plus 22 rs for taxes which costed be my lunch for 450 bucks for 2 which is fine if its good in taste and arrives on time but here the time was decided by them,also coming to the quality it was yuck worst even i had a feeling it was stale also the guy who came for the delivery was not carrying change so i have to pay him some bucks extra.Seriously i am never gonna order or visit you guys as i visited twice at yours but it was good at that time but the delivery part is not your cup of tea mate leave it to the better lads.

Located on SG Highaway in the service lane.<br/>Lunch time and we stopped by.<br/>1. Chicken Shikari Tikka<br/>2. Chicken Afghani Boneless<br/>3. Butter Nan<br/>The tikkas were rightly spiced just the way they looked.<br/>The chicken afghani has a different gravy from the usual red and brown ones that restaurants typically serve. Topped with an omelette.<br/>The nan was thicker / not as soft as i expected. But the rest of the food was too good and quite reasonably priced. The ambience is perfect to escape from the crowds on a sunny afternoon. I'll leave the rest to the pics.<br/>Their biryani in the earthen vessel is something which you guys should try, just digged into the biryani..<br/>The owner Maqsood Devdiwala is a really sweet hospitable host, he is really passionate about food and is really involved in it, great guy to talk to.

Small little place to eat, I found the seating interesting although it was a little clumsy. We ordered an Afghan Chicken and it was very good in taste. Good experience overall.

I wondered when people said they wanted to rate a place "0", if it could really be that bad? But I feel for those guys today because this place is worth a zero. All the dishes we ordered were absolutely bad! The chicken tikka was burnt to core. The wings were absolutely charred and we just had to throw them aside. And bdw check their menu out. Whn we ordered the shikari tikka, the guys said "sir sab same hi hai! Teeno me se kuch bhi mangwao." And when the dish did arrive after a staggering 25 minutes, the quantity for full chicken was as good as half. Plus it had a smell which is not associated with good chicken. It was weird. The garlic naan did not taste of garlic at all, which by the way was burnt too! The biryani was so sweet. Idk how that is possible but it tasted real bad plus it had clunks of bland rice. Too much rice with too little gravy and chicken. They served one egg with the biryani. Now that was interesting because it was so over cooked that it had a black lining between the yolk and the white and it seemed like it had been cooked and peeled hours ago and kept open somewhere because it had a very chewy outer yellow layer. God knows what these people do for maintaining hygene. Very sad and aweful experience. Never going there again. :(

The place is a bit small, but the food they served is really among best in Ahmedabad. One of the best veg biryani I have ever tried, specially the smoky curd they serve with is amazing.

Visited with one friend earlier... small place but decent one...you have good discussion and chat over dinner because of peaceful environment... very few tables were there and occupied one or two only so we had very good time for chatting... food was hygienic and qualitative...i like mocktail much...so far as its famous for nov-veg food, i cant say more about test but my friend admire it well and happy with food and ambiance...but Can't go with full friends team otherwise it became noisy place...

Pathetic for home delivery.. last time it took 1 hr 30 mins to deliver within 2 kms... nxt tym whn i called for home delivery the person on phn was very rude and said that the order needs to be minimum of 1000....

Had read a lot of rave reviews about the biryani's being served by this place. So being a Saturday night me and a few friends decided to give this place a try. <br/><br/>This is quite a small place with probably a seating space of about 25. The staff is a little slow on their feet and spend quite some time just standing and chit chatting away or passing on the work from one person to another. <br/><br/>We started off the meal with some masala papad and Mutton seekh kabab. The taste of the seekh was good but the meat could have been a little more tender. <br/><br/>Next up was egg masala with breads. The gravy was so much in the dish that you couldnt see a lot of egg. Had there been at least of couple of eggs more, the dish could have been way better. <br/><br/>Finally we ended the meal with a Max dum pakht biryani. The amount of chicken again was very low in quantity. The biryani though tasted pretty good. It was the saving grace of the entire meal.
