Review Kalrav Restaurant - Ahmedabad

Really delicious Indian food. They did non-spicy food for my kids when asked. I also enjoyed the Chinese-style Indian cuisine.

It was a tiring day after long travel and we wanted to have a wonderful ending to the day with delicious food. Local relatives recommended this restaurant. We had to wait around 20 mins for our turn. Staff was looking a bit tired at around 9pm running around their designated tables. Some were confused. We got one from the confused lot. Kids wanted noodles. We ate Punjabi food. He was bringing sabji and keeping on table without serving. We had to ask him to serve us. I guess he was very lazy as rotis n naan we received in first lot were tad cold. Even jeera rice and dal fry were also cold. Food was prepared and ready in kitchen but this fellow delayed everything to to the table to spoil our dining experience. Coming to the food it was very very tasty and we enjoyed cold food very nicely. Garlic naan’s thickness will give tough competition to dominoes pizza

Great restaurant and delicious food Tried manchow soup and chinese sizzler. It was great. Its also famous for punjabi sabji. If your near subhash circle you should definetly give a try

Lovely food with fast and friendly service. We went two nights in a row while staying in Ahmedabad. It gets very busy but maintains good service. Definitely highly recommend.

Kalrav restaurant I guess the best restaurant for lunch and dinner time especially their fixed dish has good taste and best taste when you are totally hungry. This food is made of good quality no doubt, and also they according to the menu they had decided, no ups downs of food made. Well including food serving, service of their staff is too good as per our order, this defines their good service for the customers arrived. Food serves of better quality as we know and the taste was delicious which make more interesting to have a meal and tell to others.

Food is great..in weekend we have to wait for table service is Lil slow but overall is good..good for family dining.

Superbly cooked the Hyderabadi palav with the green spicy level as expected by an andhravala .. i.e to vizag ite. This restaurant is suitable for family too and small kitty parties .

I ordered their Fix launch for 130rs & the quality was excellent and quantity is more than enough easily 2 person can share that thali. Includes ( 3 butter roti, 2 subji paneer and veg, papad, jeera rice daal fry, gulab jamun, salad, pickle ) all this in just 130rs ( available in launch ) 👍🏻😋 This Restaurant is very old & famous in nearby areas. I am going there since childhood. Family friendly and rates are very budget friendly.

One of the legacy restaurant in the town specifically in Shahibaug area. The food is standard here. They offer north indian, Italian and Chinese food options. Good for family and friends outing. Food quality can be improve as the competition arises. The rates are reasonable.

We order Veg Pulao and Cheese Pulao and when order came. But Pulao were the same. Really annoyed. I guess restaurant was so much busy that they don't want to see what's the order.<br/><br/>Great to have such service.

bad service, please avoid this restaurant for home delivery. i order Punjabi sabji and naan but they send fully burned naan. How can they do that with a customer we pay for good quality food, not for this.

Family restaurant. Less expensive. Food is very good in quality but less tasty. Service is fast and personnel are friendly and kind. Any day in a week you visit, you must have to wait for at least 15 min. And weekends have waiting of even 1.5 hrs.<br/>Ambience is very nice.<br/>Ordered paneer lababdar, paneer balti, butter naan, veg mughlai. Taste as mentioned was fair enough and could have been better.

The place is not less than a fishmarket. Lot of chaos and noise all around. Torn table sheets and houseflies hovering around your plate will disapppoint you. Additionally, the food too is just average and starters alone would take around 45 minutes to be served.

I know about this place and it's food since last ten years and I am a big fan of kalrav.<br/>What I am going to review is it's new interiors, sleek management and cordial hospitality.<br/>They have worked really hard for the new look and also opened new banquet on top floor. On top of this they never really disappoint on the taste and quality.<br/>I am a big fan of PANEER TIKKA MASALA, and it's by far one of the best PANEER gravy I have had in Ahmedabad and I can vouch for it. The taste is just divine.<br/>And one more thing which people are unaware of is their starter. VEG LOLLIPOP. Its kinda Chinese in taste and it's worth having for sure. The price is reasonable and quantity is also good. And it will make you feel like you are having tandoori chicken.<br/>The only drawback is their TANDOORI ROTIS or BUTTER NAANS, as they tend to be full of tandoori mitti layer on the other side. which spoils the taste and it usually happens in the take aways and there is no alternate once u take the food. This is one of my favourite restaurant for north indian cuisine. The servive and the quality of food in unexpressable. Would like to go there everyday😅.

Went here since it was very close to ashram. It's bit difficult to locate as it is on the first floor and there is no visible board.. We ordered manchau soup, veg manchurian and fix meals. Soup was delicious an so was the manchurian. We shared the lunch as quantity seemed bit more for us. It had 3 tandoori rotis, 2 vegetables, jeera rice, dal tadka, chaas and gulabjam. Quality and taste was good. Filled us fully and was not heavy on pocket either.. Would definitely recommend.

Worst exprience. No hygiene at all. The spoons have soap marks even after ordering new ones. The waiters ignore and are very rude. No management. I hope this improves as soon as possible. Thankyou.

All the cons and no pros...<br/>First of all, no parking available. U have to park ur vehicle on the road and while u r eating inside the restaurant, u r constantly under tension about ur vehicle...<br/>Vegetable handi served was pathetic. No taste at all. Crispy vegetables was full of tomato sauce.<br/>Ambience is ok.

Went for a small get together at lunch time, it's a cosy place. The hot n sour soup had barely any vegetables in it and tasted really bland and overly thick. Spring rolls were hard to chew and stuffing only had cabbage with some weird taste. The paneer curry had no taste and paneer was too chewy. The mix vegetable was comparatively good in taste but was too oily. The aam ras overly sweet and seemed artificial. Rice were chewy and Dal had no flavour and was too runny. The only good thing was vanilla ice cream scoop at the end.<br/>The service was not up to the mark as we had to call the waiters a few times for every thing before getting it done.

Have been to this place on two separate occasions when the same person had thrown two parties here. It's a quaint little AC banquet. Offers mediocre food nothing exemplary the servers don't use any sort of cutlery while serving, rather they use their bare hands even to serve kebabs. At one occasion their starter was too salty. One time the server didn't know the name of the dish he was serving, as the name of the dish was not displayed I asked the server but he had no clue! Spacious place for a seating capacity of atleast 50 people.<br/><br/>Since I was invited for a party I didn't bother finding if the food was worth the money paid but all in all a fine forgettable experience.

It has become our family restaurant since a year. We had around four to five visits to this restaurant in two months. We ordered Paneer Lababdar and that too Jain, and I must say that it is a must try sabzi for especially Jain people.Cheese naan and kulcha is also good to savour. Overall I found all well except the quantity. The quantity they offer is bit less as compared to other restaurants. Kalrav Restaurant last time my wife birthday, We go at kalrav Restaurant to take dinner approx 20 people.<br/>Our Children also there. Last we order 2 jira rise and 2 daal fry. Daal is smelled very bad, In our friends 4 house wife they Complain this is 2 to 3 days old Daal fry.They told us please don't sought, We will replace and don't charge any amounts for this 2 Daal. They Taken back, We inform now not need Daal.<br/><br/>They have no worry about small children, They want only Money, <br/><br/>Before 10 year they given nice food and service.

average taste of punjabi with pocket friendly menu. If you just want to go out for good punjabi with family and do not want to spent 1000+ bucks than you can surely try here. Very crowdy on sunday. Subhashbridge area has so many hotels and kalrav is best hotel in that area but nothing exceptional.

Visited here after long long time(years). Hotel is famous in our area since i was kid & restaurant is here from more than 15 years. But totally disappointed with food, waste of money, i ordered punjabi food with kulcha because i love kulcha with punjabi food, i had never ate worst kulcha than this they just served me a big maida roti with coriander spreaded all over. & food was really pathetic. I will never visit again nor I'll recommend. Rating 1.5 star for the service

We were invited for dinner from one of our relatives. Kalrav had been one of the favorite restauants but I was disappointed as I missed that delicious taste for which the restaurant got fame. We ordered Paneer Lababdar, Kaju Curry, Garlic Naan, Daal Tadka. I was very fond of Kalrav's Garlic Naan but now the preparation has been changed so as it's taste. Curries are OK, not delicious. Thank god they have maintained their service record. Hope to get back that spicy-mouthwatering taste.

A very nice restaurant for Punjabi Cuisine in the locality and also at affordable rates. Nothing much fancy but it has nice ambience and the service is good. The taste of the food is also nice. Have tried almost all Punjabi Subjis and I am not yet disappointed.

I visited this place yesterday. No worth at all no parking facilities ,ordered 2 subji can't differentiate the taste everything looks similar in taste. Worst part , found long hair in subji & when complain they didn't took the follow up.

I've visited this restaurant the most since its very much close to the place i live. The ambience is now changed then it used to be earlier however its much better now. Food quality and taste is pretty average and you may find similar tastes everywhere. Overall its a ok place. Cost is little high compare to services and tastes they offer. Although, You will not be disappointed.

I have been going to this outlet since 2002 and they have maintained their reasonable rates on menu card till date. They have also done good interiors recently. Tandoori is not at all good for which i go to eat punjabi food. Ambience and location is good. Their food tastes like home made food which is very hard to find. The tomato soup was also great and their fix deluxe thali is upto the mark in quality as well as quantity. I also tried their baked macroni with pineapple and it was jst yummmieee..

This hotel is like a family hotel. Spagati roti subji souo is exalent nice quality & quantity. But 1 problem not lift so siniar citizens are not effort to step 1 flor.
