I've ordered jeera rice and Dal fry .. but there was no jeera in Rice it was simple plane soggy rice .so i called in the shop they said they serve jeera Rice like this ..lol ..I was totally confused that should I called it khichdi or jeera rice ..

Gujarati farsan is good. One of the choice for Gujarati farsan lovers of Maninagar area. Food is good. You can once try it. Rate of farsan is also reasonable.

The worst fix dish i have ever tested and it's from mehta chawana no test nothing you can't even eat. if you can't make good and testy food then close down your mehta chawana and sweet. you deserve -10 rate.

I had special ingerdient in Sev Khamani, You can see Ant in food. cutomer care said "we will minimize this issue". i think we need to be carefull while eating any outside food, even this food centre has 4+ reviews..

All items are good. You should try chana puri and fix thali, they're delicious. It's near Kankaria lake. I have eaten almost all items of Mehta chawana and sweet centre. There is sitting area also.

I ordered fafda from Mehta chawana and sweet center... But I am extremely unsatisfied with food quality.....I listened name , Mehta chawana and sweet center and ordered... But I am unhappy....

The khichdi kadhi i ordered the kadhi was burned and was not in good in thickness. I was not expecting this type of kadhi from Mehta chawana. This was my first order and not satisfied.<br/>

They provide bhakri-shak, fix thali, and other things at an attractive price in about 110 rupees one can have a tummy full lunch/dinner some things are not available in dinner some times but they do have great range of farsan that they sell they are also bring water in one's mouth

Its Buffvadas are the Best😁 . they are a specialty during fasts and are very soft and tasty from the inside . Best served when freshly fried or the crust becomes Hard .

Farsan specialist...<br/><br/>I got rasgullas and samosas from here many times. And its amazing to habe their rasgullas. Though rasgullas are now not good at all. Their dabeli is also way too good.<br/><br/>Cleanliness wise this place needs improvement. But anyways, its a very old traditional place and that way they have done much better in these many years.<br/><br/>People praise their fafdas and jalebis but I have never tried it.<br/><br/>These days almost whole place has been taken over by someone and freezland has started here. This is quiet an old place popular for their sweets and savories since a long time. I still remember those evenings when my Dad bought me here for samosas and kachori and we took shrikhand with us. They serve almost all kinds of savories but one of my favorite is samosas, onion kachori and vegetable puffs. They all have very generous, delicious and fresh filling. I also like the khandvi and sandwich dhokla available here. They also serve delicious bengali sweets, shrikhand, basaundi, almost all sweets. Though I don't eat a lot of sweets I love them all. Their dry snacks like chawana, sev are also nice but I find them to be oily. And it has been a ritual in my house since a long time to bring their farali wadas during fasts. They are quiet spicy and fried in hygienic oil unlike any other place. The taste of any of the above food items has not changed over time which is appreciable. But now i would suggest not to eat anything there itself and taking it as take away would be better. The place has no cleanliness. Definately, with changing time the prices are raised but then that is not as expensive as other places in Ahmedabad.

They serve best evening snacks in maninagar. I am gng since m school days. Lots of varieties. Take away is much better than dine.

Once upon a time in Maninagar, when there were not many food outlets, Mehta Chawana and Sweet Centre (near Shelat bus stand) was one place to hit for farsaan and fried stuff like our desi Burgers and Hot Dogs. This was one of the first places where I saw custom made cakes too. The regular farsaan (like patra, khaman, sandwich dhokla, samosa ...) are decent enough... I am not a big fan of the Undhiyu that they sell (feels very bland, boiled and sweet)... their bengali sweets are decent... I guess with the rise of speciality stores and stuff, Mehta is not a big hit (With me) any more... but I guess Mehta C & SC has its set of loyal followers like any other decent place.
