Digital menu and hard copy menu available for ordering food. Early evening visits will be advised for avoiding rush. Good for family functions and get together. Nice place to enjoy dining with family and friends. Food is a little expensive but worth trying once.

Recently I visited this Govinda 's Multicusine Fine Dine Restaurant, ISKCON Temple, Ahmedabad. What a mouth watering taste in every dish without use of onion and garlic. The multicusine menu is really amazing and covered almost all types of Indian pallet. The place is very upscale and taste is feel divine with flavourfull. Ambience is amazing with cosy atmosphere , seating arrangement is enough with seprate for group n family. Must visit place for food lovers...

Nice food with good ambience, although the food was without garlic and onion,but the food tasted so good you can't see the difference. private cottages with good ambience and lush green surroundings for private parties are also nice.

Tokri chaat is must have for any Street food lover. Combination of 4 chaats, 1. Pani puri 2. Aloo tikki 3. Tokri chaat 4. Bhajiya chaat Along with a small bucket of Dahi. Lovely assortment of flavours.

A great restaurant for spending time with family. I loved the food and the service was pretty quick. Do try their Chimichuri rice with red paprika sauce and aloo tokri chat it is really delicious.

It is located beside ISKCON Temple. This was my 1st time at Govinda's. Taste was just owsm I can't describe in words for that you have to taste that. This is basically a Jain Restaurant which means their food does not contain onion and garlic and yet the taste is amazing.The ambience is good for family get together. The staff service is quick and all members are friendly. Staff was very polite and gentle. Ambiance of restaurant was just krishnamay. Here you can find international cusine in indian taste. Restaurant has very impressive interior it's a must go place for instagrammer. Food is prepared following traditional hindu sanatan dharm they did not use onion and garlic. Soup was bit thin. Main course was amazing. Could not easily make ouy that everything here is without onion and garlic. I ordered mohito which was refreshing. For starters i tried enchiladas in which sheets could be cooked a bit more but still taste was wow. And for main course i took chimichanga rice with vegetables rice which is must try. Overall its ossom ambiance and amazing for jain people the best i tried yet and international menu is there u must try

I have never had this terrible experience, This is worse than a road side cart. We waited for 1 hour after placing an order, the food never arrived and we eventually left the place without eating. They had one waiter to do everything from cleaning the table to serving food. NO HYGIENE AT ALL. THEY ARE NOT CLEANING THE TABLES. HORRIBLE TERRIBLE PATHETIC.

I've been to Govinda's in Mumbai multiple times so I really wanted to try it in Ahmedabad. There is a positive aura as soon as you enter this place as it is located in the temple premises.<br/>Ambience- Nothing fancy but very pleasing to the eye.<br/>They also have cottages named 'Madhuvan' for a large group.<br/>Service- The staff is very well trained and polite.<br/>Food- All the dishes are without onion and garlic. The menu is vast with all the cuisines in there! 😅<br/>I ordered-<br/>Broccoli Cheddar Soup- Made with some nice fresh broccoli and cheese, this one was surely a must try!!<br/>(Served with bread sticks and breads) (5/5)<br/>Quesadilla- It had a cheesy vegetable filling wrapped in a soft tortilla, accompanied with sour cream, salsa and some mint dip. It was lip-smacking and a must try! 😘(5/5)<br/>Chimmichuri Rice with Vegetable Paprika- The rice was very mildly flavoured while the curry was a bit spicy but really nice. Only problem was the Cottage Cheese, which seemed stale. Can be given a try (3.5/5)<br/>The only problem was the pricing. The place was under-staffed and most items in the buffet were either cold or in need of a refill. Interesting menu of buffet offering multiple options.<br/>But quality of food is really disappointing.<br/>Only a few options are upto the mark.<br/><br/>What I loved the most is khichdi and curd rice.<br/>That had subtle amount of oil and spices within.<br/>Simplicity appealed my tastebuds more than highly seasoned food with a heavy amount of oil.<br/><br/>Spring rolls were literally bursting with oil and filling was so bad that you will put it down just after your first morsel.<br/><br/>Other things were average.<br/><br/>

Taste is good but bit expensive.<br/>I had ordered watermelon mojito, cheese nachos and green monk. Green monk turned out to be something new but I was expecting bit more from the mojito and nachos as per the price range. The mojito tasted like artificial watermelon flavoured. I would have liked fresh watermelon specially when it's in season. The nachos didn't have salsa along with it!!<br/><br/>Apart from this, a good place to hangout with family.

Royal chairs and tables for your fine dining. Food available with all jain options as onion garlic and many other ingredients are not used there. Hare Krishna Mantra chanting is played in the restaurant repeatedly. Food is really good and lot of variety is added on the menu. Definitely worth more than a visit and you can’t eat all in one go. Had ordered pink pasta, pizza, Singapore noodles and sauce, Manchurian and then punjabi food. All were great.

We went here with our family and all the things suggested by Mr. Darab turned out to be amazing. Right from the delicious soups to the suggestions of chaat platter and lasagne, everything was bang on according to our taste and actually exceeded expectations. Good ambience, great food and very good service.<br/>This multi cuisine restaurant is located right next to Iskon temple, inside the premises. Focus is on healthy yet variety of items in menu.

We visited this place last month with a bunch of our foodie friends.<br/><br/>We went there for dinner and we were 7 friends so booked a cottage instead of going for ala carte. So maximum of 8 people in a group can book a cottage and can avail unlimited food and drinks by paying 6000 rs. The only condition is one cannot waste food and cannot do take away of left overs. <br/>This place serves food without onion and garlic. <br/><br/>We ordered a lot of dishes over here and yes we did not waste it. <br/><br/>We ordered 4 different types of soups- <br/>Manchow, Sweet corn, Rasam minestrone and Broccoli cheddar <br/>All the soups were very good. Without onion and garlic also , the soups were made well. They were thick, flavourful with required spices. <br/><br/>We tried many starters as well. 7 layered mexican shots, Quesadilla, Falafels , Green pea hummus, Crispy ravioli and Chaat platter. <br/><br/>7 layered mexican shots was the starter suggested by the staff as their usp which did not taste well at all. Chaat platter was good but we felt quantity was less compared to the price. Crispy ravioli did not have any filling and lacked flavour. We loved the falafal a lot for which we can visit this place again. <br/><br/>We tried mocktails while having our main course. Loved the kala khatta mocktail. Refreshing and the tangy taste of the drink made our day. <br/>We get better Frozen margharita in Ahmedabad at other places in lesser price. So this did not appeal much. <br/><br/>We were so full and wanted to try more desserts so didn’t order much in main course. <br/>The usual Masala papad with Chimichurri rice and Fantasy Pizza was all that we ordered. <br/><br/>Chimichuri Rice with Cottage cheese is an amazing one @govindas. The coriander rice and the curry went so well , perfectly balanced. The pizza had mint chutney and it was not mentioned at all in the menu. So what was served to us and what was mentioned- both the things were different. <br/><br/>For desserts we ordered- Gajar halwa , Paan gulkand phirni and Kala jamun which wad good. The usual nothing extra ordinary<br/>Sizzling browine was good but we wish quantity was more. <br/>Cheesecake vita marie failed miserably to impress us.<br/><br/>We have been to Govindas outlet in Juhu, Mumbai 2-3 years ago for lunch and had a great time. <br/><br/>We had an Entire cottage to ourselves and laughed at the top of our voices, what an amazing evening indeed. We wish the food served was great as well. The staff needs a lot of training. <br/>We asked them to place food outside the cottage in another area so that we can click good pictures but one of the staff said “its common sense that if they place food there then it will get cold” . We of course knew that food will get cold but this kind of comment was not required by the staff. One should learn to use words wisely is all we can say.

I am giving this place one star since nothing lesser is possible. Although the restaurant is associated with ISKCON, the food and service are beyond pathetic.<br/><br/>Firstly, when we called them to ask about the buffet, they deliberately misrepresented saying the buffet spread includes 45 items comprising Mexican, Chinese, Gujarati, Punjabi, Italian, Continental cuisines et cetera. What they in fact served was Ratlami sev, at least four types of mix chevdas, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, sliced cucumbers, sliced carrots, cabbage, couple of types of cardsThey also included three types of pickle 2 to 3 types of chutneys in the 45 items. Essentially, It was deliberate misrepresentation and the spread hardly had about 10 to 12 items.<br/><br/>What was even worse was the fact that the Gulab Jamuns had insects in them. This is no exaggeration. The Gulab Jamuns were full of insects. When pointed out, they played it cool and had no remorse for it.<br/><br/>The buffet counters were not at all refilled. In fact, even when asked for, they did not refill the chaat counters for at least 45 minutes. Same goes with other products.<br/><br/>All in all, it was an extremely unpleasant experience. Since, The restaurant is associated with ISKCON, we had higher expectations, however, due to misleading reviews, we ended up wasting our money and Sunday family lunch.

New place in town oops sorry temple! Yes this is in Iskon temple :) Its a proper fine dine restaurant. We went for Sunday unlimited buffet. The variety was astonishing - soup, mocktail, salads, chaats, south indian food, chinese, continental, north indian, khichdi, desserts & much more- everything here is made without onion & garlic. Food was very tasty & we all quite loved it! Malpuas were a big no no & we did give feedback about that! Overall its a home style food place!

It is a beautiful restaurant located inside the premises of iscon temple. The planning of this restaurant is smartly done as there is a common place serving a la carte food and on the opposite side there are multiple private cottages that you can reserve for a group of 8pax or 16pax. We opted for a private cottage and the charges for 8pax is ₹6000 which allows you to order unlimited number of dishes from the menu. But one needs to make sure there is no unnecessary wastage of food. Coming to the food we tried<br/><br/>Broccoli cheddar soup - A good option if you like your soup thick and creamy. <br/><br/>Green peas hummus with khakhra - Well presented and this combination really works.<br/><br/>Lebanese falafel - Quite authentic and tasted amazing.<br/><br/>7 layered mexican shots - Disappointing as i found the taste to be extremely tangy<br/><br/>Chaat platter - Full marks to the presentation and taste. A must try.<br/><br/>Pizza fantasy - Thin crust pizza which could have been much better since i did not notice exotic veggies as mentioned in the description and it could be saucier as well. <br/><br/>Sizzling brownie - Tried this since it is my favourite dessert and turned out to be really good. <br/><br/>Vita marie cheese cake - Awful and this failed to be a proper cheesecake nor i could get the taste of vita marie.<br/><br/>Pan gulkand firni - My pick among the desserts. So do not miss out on this. <br/><br/>The service is fine and the pricing though on a higher side the taste and the presentation lives upto the expectation only if you are blocking the private cottage. Otherwise the experience might be ordinary. <br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>

The place has good ambience. We tried buffet here. They do have kept many varieties in buffet. However, the taste was just regular (not spicy or masaledar). Although, I liked the food here and wish to try alacarte in my next visit. Peace and Fun, a rare combination is found here. You need to visit to experience this combination.

Iskcon's very own Govinda's multi cuisine restaurant has ventured into buffet recently (no onion/no garlic). They have set it up in their banquet hall. The reception and welcome was missing. Ambience is same as their ala carte restaurant - outstanding and bright. Buffet spread - elaborate. Not sure if it's rotational.<br/><br/>Mocktail - fresh lime juice. A let down. They could try some coolers/sparkles.<br/>Soup - fresh, warm and tasteful. Must try<br/>Salads - fresh and colourful. Must try - multi bean salad<br/>Starters - they need to work on this section. No hot starters/fritters. Must try - Sev khamani. Not to try - dahi wada<br/>Main course - very wide spread (North Indian, South Indian, Arabian (falafel sandwich), Italian (pizza), chinese and mexican). Must try - pizza, noodles, kichdi with fryums. Not to try- Idly/sambhar and curd rice.<br/>Breads - their butter naan (baby naan) was served hot and soft.<br/>Desserts - they again need to work on this section. The lack lustre section of the buffet. Only 2 desserts and 1 ice cream. Desserts (basundi and sevaiyya). Basundi (Anguri) was terrible.<br/>Condiments & accompaniments: a request to place them near the appropriate dishes as many guests didn't know these exist. For example, green chutney for paneer tikka, Szechwan sauce for noodles, etc.<br/><br/>Service - courteous. Live counters (like pizza) need to be speeded up.<br/><br/>Bottomline: If you want to try an elaborate veg buffet with striking and grandeur ambience, try this place once. Visit them before 31st Mar to get 25% off on their introductory buffet (₹399 for weekday and ₹499 for weekend - 56 bhog. These are rates before discount. It is amazing. Do try baby corn and broccoli tikka. A must for tandoor lovers craving to try some different. Has a very large menu. Worth going with friends and family

GOVINDA'sISKCON TempleSG HighwayAhmedabad Govinda's is a multi-cuisine restaurant opened in the premises of  ISKCON temple which serves North Indian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican food along with various kinds of Sizzlers and Fondues. The first word that would come out of your mouth when you see the place is WOW!You will surely feel that it is the freaking best layout I have seen of a restaurant, it looks so wonderful!The small 4 cottages look very pretty and cute and so is the interior of the main hall.You will not feel for a moment that you are in one of the busiest junctions of the city.Immediately your expectation level for the service, quality and taste of food with this place will rise to the peak. I don't understand why the management of this place has not mentioned anywhere that this is an establishment which serves food with NO ONION/ NO GARLIC. This should be mentioned somewhere at least so that a person can decide whether he wants to eat such cuisine. I realised this when I ate my first appetizer. I wish Govinda's had spent an equal amount of money on training their stewards because here they were clueless about the menu and randomly explained some things about the items on the menu when asked for. Whereas the temple board has spent lavishly on the interior. Coming to the food, we ordered: 1: Hyderabadi Daal Cappuccino: The menu says it is a khati daal served as a soup with foam, I guess the foam was invisible.2: Sev Tomato Soup: Ratlami Sev served in a bowl with regular tomato soup.3: 7 Layered Mexican Shots: I have eaten and prepared a lot of Mexican food but could not understand what these shots were! I could not finish even one shot!4: Cheesy Spinach Corn Cigar: Regular roll cigar-shaped.5: Masala Roomali: In one sentence, a failed attempt to imitate the iconic karari roomali of Havmor's. I even complained about this to the Chef, but they chose not to comment. The only dish that impressed me at this place was the Hyderabadi Dum Biryani, one of the best I have ever tried. It was full of flavours and the aroma was very strong. I also loved the mocktails we tried - Khala Khatta Shirley Temple which was a mixture of  Black Currant and Orange Lemonade; and Green Monk which contained Green Apple, Raw mango and Apple juice with Soda.Though the presentation of the dishes was appreciable, the food didn't suit my palate as I am a hardcore onion/ garlic fan. But, I will surely take my maternal family to Govinda's so that they can know more about the taste of international cuisine as they do not eat onion and garlic. When you are done with your visit, one question will arise in your mind - Was this place worth visiting? Was it worth spending so much money?

A wonderful serene place in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city! The ambience is exquisite! The menu has a good range and choice of dishes..and noone can make out that their preparations are without onion and garlic! We tried the wonton soup, desi tacos and penne pink! All of them were good and the quantity is also good. . The place is a little under staffed for their Sunday crowd but the staff present is very polite and courteous! Great experience overall. Must visit

Absolutely love this place, if you're going try continental there attaching few pics here so we can relate. Ordered jalapeno samosa, pizza tobasco, brownie and chimichuri rice. Maza aa gaya

Starting from the ambience to service and food, Govindas is really unique from any other restaurants in the city. I visited last week with my family and was greeted nicely at the entrance. We ordered paneer tikka with coriander foam, 7 layered mexican shots, pesto pasta, two pizzas. Well the best part was drinks SOB is out of the world and so was the saffron punch. We even tried kichdi for my parents and its tasted like authentic home made cuisine.

I binged on the à la carte and am surprised to have had such lovely food without onion and garlic!<br/><br/>The quality, quantity and variety is impressive.<br/><br/>The service was good.<br/><br/>The ambience is different from the usual restaurants in the city which is what I liked the most. More greenery, wooden frames and quirky interiors add to the charm.
