Review Collegian Restaurant - Ahmedabad

Though the service was a little slow.. Considering that it was a Saturday, This place served us some delicious Punjabi food.. Special mention for extremely soft naan... The likes of which I have never had before

Perfect, as it used to be years ago. Roti was 💯% same as it used to be, the best. The food tasted exactly as it should be. Service was also at par. In short everything was perfect. Don't go with those negative reviews, must visit.

The restaurant was understaffed and the food was late. But the food quality and hospitality was above par. This is a no brainer family restaurant when you crave for good Punjabi food. Yes a few of items from the menu are not available. Like Naan or Rumali Roti or Ravioli.... But it did not matter once we as a family started eating the food.

Good food, feels like home. Good service. Worth a visit. Don't expect something extraordinary but know that you'll be satisfied after your meal here.

Best restaurant in ahmedabad everyone should try malai kofta once you will come here every week I am an health conscious person I don't eat maida roti but they serve wheat tandoori roti while other restaurant mixes maida in it

Original Punjabi Food in this Restaurant. Fresh Food Available and also Vegetable gravy fresh. Butter Roti is super also tasty Chinese food.

The food is really awesome and must visit for real punjabi taste... The food that they serve don't seem to be of restaurant, it seems to be of home only (very much hygienic food).. I am foodoholic and i ensure you that you wont regret on your visit..

The restaurant will give you the retro feel, old furniture and All India Radio playing in the background. They serve very good punjabi food as the owner is a punjabi. The place is almost 15+ years old. If you like less noisy place, old style ambience and authentic punjabi taste this is the place to be.

it's mentioned here that they home deliver. but when I called , they refused. kindly check what is the correct thing and please do not waste customer's time.

An old Punjabi restaurant, where I've been eating from childhood. Went there after many years. The quality of starters and soup has declined considerably. But the curries and other items are good. The ambience is not tooo good but the service was excellent.

Since last 35 years this restaurant is our family's favorite place to eat out. We have celebrated numerous birthdays and anniversaries here. The best thing about this restaurant is consistent taste in food. They may be don't try something new but the basic Punjabi food is really delicious here. Baked macroni, Sarsau ki sabji and makke ki roti is amazing. They have best hot and sour soup in town. I think they might not be attracting more of young people here but they have their consistent group of people who like to eat good food and like us they are coming here since long time.

I love to have food here its delicious, very tasty and yummy . I recommend all my friends to visit it. The ambience and service is really very good.

Extremely disappointed by pathetic food, crippled service and deteriorating ambience.<br/>Was it due to current economic effect of nation or due to other reasons. I was a very big fan of Collegian but now it seems it has lost its glory and charm.

Nostalgia, they have maintained restaurant, furniture and even color of chairs from the day one. It would be now more than 15 years and I see same pattern, in fact I see some the staff has also not changed. It is like serene place for eating. Earlier they used to serve non veg too. They have very homely taste in every preparation and rates also matches with quantity they serve. Food quality, as I said homely so has to be good. Ambience for me is like going back to old days..so I love it.

They have the best vegetable jalfrazi.....have been eating this curry for years but never bored with the taste... many people don't know about this curry as it's present as Indian Chinese subji in the menu.. but I would tell someone to try it once and believe me you will love it forever.

Good Food, I have always liked the food here. I was hugely surprised and shockingly disappointed when I got to know that they serve non-veg food . Although their menu card says it's a pure vegetarian restaurant.

One of the oldest restaurant in Ahmedabad city. I've been visiting this restaurant since childhood. This restaurant run by a Punjabi family and that's they serve the real taste of Punjabi food. If you're looking for wholesome Punjabi food or authentic Punjabi dhaba style taste can visit this place. The ambiance shows same old legacy of the restaurant but Value for money. Food 5/5 service 4/5 Ambiance 4/5.

Truly a must go place for lunch in Ahmedabad, I went for a short trip and made time for it as my friend has suggested and it turned out an awesome experience. This place does not serve any fancy item but the quality of the regular restaurant dishes are itself worth eating.

Best... I have been a regulars customer for over 10 years. The best place to eat Punjabi!! Ambience is good too and the quality of food is awesome. Koya kaju is the best of the lot...

Ambience is 0.5 or even less than that. This is famous for takeaway and home delivery. I've been there twice to eat but have found rats and insects moving around in the restaurant. Anyways the food quality is nice. And rates are average or little above then that. So 3.0 is apt for it.

Good service, good food (the starters and soup were awesome) .Everything is good except the ambience which felt little dull. That is what stopped me from giving a 4+ rating!

This is a good hotel if you want to go there for food only... I went there with my in-laws. Its a old hotel so ambiance is just ok kinda but food quality is too good. Even serice is also good here. I sugest to go there for quality and teasty food.

My dad's favorite restaurant in ahemdabad, truly awesome food. The naan's are soft and crispy! All sabji's are good. A must visit place if u live in ahemdabad.<br/><br/><br/>(Sorry photos are not so clear)

Exploring all Parimal Garden this is the second after I wrote on Treat...<br/><br/>Well this is an open secret for those who have good memory...Collegian has changed...changed from N.V. to Veggi :( :( :( <br/><br/>Collegian...was one of those joint which I loved when it use to serve N.V. And very few in Ahmedabad had audacity to serve N.V. food in such locality where pure veggie folks are in high concentration...and Collegian was brave enough...More so because in Western Part of Ahmedabad hardly any one use to serve some great N.V. and this was definitely one heck of a place..(Ok, just to make it crisp - Collegian is placed hardly away from Worlds Fist and only Veg Sub Way outlet)<br/><br/>The place is well placed in midst of Paldi | Parimal Garden | Ellis bridge residential locality and business district which is C.G. This has been our family restaurant for years and the quality of the food is just awesome. Everything is tasty and my favorite dish is baked macaroni with pineapple.
