Review Spezia Bistro & Grills House - Ahmedabad

One of the best restaurants in the city...mind blowing ambience & food
Darshan Santoki
Ambience is unique. Side of wall is full of jars filled with seeds and other raw material. Live music is also available though it isn't daily basis only on weekends. Food is of different taste and look, tasty also.

Had been here recently with my friends. The items which i tried were- Watermelon guava punch- This was quite good. Loved it Chicken tender- i liked this but found it a bit bland. If it would have been a bit spicy, it would have been great. Spezia veg & non veg pizza- i tried veg as well as non veg. Personally i loved the veg one as it was a bit more juicier. Burritos- i tried the non veg one and liked it Panna cotta- Loved it. I was trying this for the first time and i loved it Baked cheese cake- This item too i was trying for the first time and i loved it Overall liked the ambience. It is the same as it was in souq. Service was great I have personally ordered food from here, peri peri chicken, spaghetti bolognese and oven roasted chicken in teriyaki sauce. All three items were quite good.

I must one of the best restaurants in Ahmedabad.. We were two of us and the ambience was amazoing. It was well crafted restaurant with some amazing light music played in the background. We ordered one Carnivores(lamb) Pizza and All Veg Pizza, apart from this we we ordered Spezia special mocktails.
It was Wood fired pizza and I must say it was really delicious. The best I have ever had in Ahmadabad. One pizza would be enough for two person. We actually couldn't finish the two pizza we had ordered. And the mocktail was very average.
Would definitely recommend this place. You have to try atleast once.

To start with Ambience is so nice it feel like we are in some European country with live music adding more charm in it. 😍 Food was awesome too, we had order BBQ chicken pizza, Nachos and two mocktails, pizza's sause was delicious feels go good it had BBQ sauce in it👌. Mocktails were tasty too. Nice experience of having food.

One of the few places in Ahmedabad which has lovely live music. It scores full marks for it's decor...super moroccon style. Wonderful food. I love watermelon cooler...it cms in watermelon skin itself. Menu options are plenty. Great taste. I always have a very good time there.

Very easy to locate but not so popular restaurant till date in Ahmedabad.. One of the unique and classy decor makes this restaurant special as compare to others.. Walls were fully decorated with jars and pots full of spices.. One of its kind.. Big stage in center and lights at same.. And on the opposite end of the restaurant you would see a beautiful set up with windows and nice rustic wall. Perfectly designed restaurant..

Talking about service, they try their best to make you comfortable and serve nicely and I must say that all waiters were polite and well behaving..

While dining in we tried watermelon guava punch which was nicely prepared and taste was balanced for watermelon and guava.. Along with this we also had onion rings which was good.. Nothing extra ordinary in it.. In starter we had Habanera Cottage Cheese.. Was really good in taste.. Next was Chef's Signature Mezzo Platter.. Amazing hummus and I can say it was best place in the city for having hummus.. Along with it we also had dips which tasted good as well.. Then we had Spezia Vegetable Pizza which was fully loaded with toppings, sauces and was perfectly made thin crust pizza which tasted awesome.. Loved it.. In main course we had Burritos which was properly made with enough amount of cheese on it.. Then we had Mortician Grilled Vegetables which is good dish for rice lovers..

In deserts, we had Panna Cotta which was fluffy and it was not too sweet in taste.. Also it was topped with honey.. 2nd desert was cheesecake which was loved by all.. Was too good..

Overall this place was perfect combination of ambience and good food.. Can be given a try for sure..

Bad food, worst live music, interior was smelling with dampness.
Too jazzy interior, out of four dishes, one dish was good enough, other three dishes were bad.
Pooja Shetty
Bad music, bad food and over priced. This is how I would summarise my experience at spezia.
We ordered teriyaki chicken which looks like plastic and tastes nothing like teriyaki. We also ordered peri peri chicken which was uncooked, as hard as rubber.
Fanie Prakash..!
I was here yesterday for a dinner. The place is located at ground floor in Acropolis mall which was at first a drawback for me but than as you step in the place you don't feel that the place is in such a crowded or a busy mall. The interiors were just simple plain and chic. The glass bottles filled with different infringement was extraordinary creative concept. And the color and the lights were just placed perfectly. And I looved loooved the lights that would just cover up the portion of the table where the food is and not the whole space where you are seated, which is too calming for the eyes. Thought the service was a bit slow and need a bit of improvement.
We could only have peri peri cottage cheese and herb rice as we were only two people.😁
Ambiance- 4.5/5
Food ( peri peri cottage cheese and herbed rice ) -4/5
Service - 3/5

Would visit again for dinner.

Very nice ambience with classy food. Very hygienic, clean surroundings with live music.
If you like Italian food then give this place a try. It won't disappoint you.
Just one suggestion live music is too loud. So you can't talk with each other.

Just had a lovely Saturday evening birthday dinner here!

Lovely ambiance, such a classy and good looking place with comfortable seating. They had live music here and the singers were really good which set a great mood for the evening.

Coming to the food we ordered a Tex Mex wood fired pizza which was incredibly good. The base was super thin and crispy and the pizza was super delicious. We also had chicken kebabs which were very tasty and a Peri Peri chicken steak which was the 🌟 of the show! It was super duper good.

The service was great and our server was really friendly and took good care of us. The staff seems to be very polite and courteous.

A great place where everything is spot on!

A must visit for sure!!!

Visited on Valentine's Day. Romantic, rustic, amenable the three adjectives that come to mind when describing my experience at Spezia and Bistro Grill. Eclectic atmosphere and fun. Dim lights, spices bottle and hanging plates decors, red roses placed in a color glass. Limited menu but as the description was makes me feel as promising one, the food were delicious. There was karaoke night of Bollywood romantic songs which turned really sweet one.

What we had:

Welcome Drinks:
-Sangria
-Romance love byte

Appetisers:
-Mozzarella jalapeño corn filled hearts.
-Habanera cottage cheese
-Lamb fatayer
-Thai fish cake

Soup:
-Chicken white beans soup

Main Course - Wood Fire Gaucho Pizza:
-Chimichuri grilled chicken, corn, jalapeños and olives pizza - thin crust

Dessert:
-Strawberry panna cota

Overall, great place to have good food and bring a date to. I love this place and will keep coming back.

Place is very easy to find as being located at ground floor of acropolis mall but some how not so popular yet as it deserve.

Classy gate welcomes you and as you enter inside you notice a big stage, left hand side wall full of jars, open kitchen against entry, right hand side beautiful rustic wall with flower pots and windows. As you seat on table you can notice that lights are perfectly placed for your dish.

Food here is really good. Good enough to made me compare it with best restaurants of ahmedabad.
Watermelon guava punch: It gives taste of both watermelon and guava together. Perfectly made. Punchy it was. 5/5
Onion rings: can be better yet no complains. 4/5
Chicken tender: can be spicy yet again no complains. It was abit bland but good in taste. 3/5
Pizza: their pizza gravy is perfect and toppings was generously added. 4/5
Habanera cottage cheese(potato base): It was really good. 4/5
Veg & Non veg Burritos: They serve it in really different way. Never expected burritos in such way. Much better, Highly recommended 5/5
Mortician Grilled vegetables: This dish can be their signature dish. 5/5
Panna cotta: I never had panna cotta before and after trying it, I will surely go for it. 4/5

Service was courteous. This place have lots of new options to try. If you like trying new things this place is must visit in ahmedabad.

Value for money: 3.5
Ambiance: 5
Quality of food: 5
Quantity of food: 4
Cleanliness: 5
Service: 4
Taste of food: 4.5

I really loved how souk changed to Spezia and what a remarkable turn it was from its previous self.

The food tastes really good here. To name a few , the tex mex pizza , broccoli almond soup , cottage cheese burger , bbq chicken and quesadillas are pretty good.

Meal per head is anywhere between 600-900 depending on appetite and non vegetarian consumption.

Love the decor. I visited during lunch hours but I'm sure the dinners are even better.

Great job, team :)

A lot to say about this place! I call it Class..............!!!!!

The taste is a li'l bit uncommon compared to what we eat in our daily routine. Thus, many people may call it 'Awkward'. We tried both veg and non-veg over there and I have seen less places in Ahmedabad of this kind.
I specially loved the hummus over there.

The place is a bit expensive but the good part is that they serve a good portion in one single dish...enough for 2 ppl atleast.

Ambiance is good....Service is nice....Food is good....Variety is superb!.....The place is classy!!!....

Overall, an amazing experience....I recommend to those people who always looks for a change :)

Great food great ambience really had a great time should try chicken teriyaki and BBQ chicken also had fish and chips after such a long time, totally worth the money
Akshat Doshi
The service is too slow. They forgot our order and the staff is not well trained. And the ambience is same is the old Souq with no change even in the tapestry of the sofa

This place has never let me down. Spontaneous meal with a friend to just catch up. The food was well cooked, herbs blended well in the pasta, and the service was just about ok. I particularly enjoyed the spicy ginger drink. Great place to go for a quiet meal with good food. Decent parking space in the mall too!

I was here for a get together with friends; vast menu to choose. I will enlighten the items which I have liked here.
garlic prawn in starters,
taco soup - highly recommended
tex mex veg pizza - nice
carnivores pizza - excellent
peri peri spiced chicken - taste was good but chicken was not up to the mark, was too chewy
peri-peri grilled cottage cheese - don't order, not up to the mark
risottos are also very good here
ginger jalapenos mocktail is good. their special edition in mocktail was highly disappointing.

bit over priced
service is good
food is above average
ambience super

hope this will be helpful in ordering here :)
Nice decor and ambience, decent music and excellent food.
Tried the lemon grass refresher (Wouldn't mind a beer but alas I am in Ahmedabad) which was Wow
Will definitely revisit again

Well went on valentines day as they had arranged candle light dinner n live music.

Arrangement was good as expected. Regarding food welcome drink was good than comes soup which was average than starter which was good. In mains they served pizza which was v good lastly desert was fantastic in which they served panna kota with strawberry.

Overall a good experience.

As soon as you enter this place you'll be in awe because of its very classy interiors.
You won't fail to notice the jars of spices lined up and on the opposite end of the restaurant you would see a beautiful setup with windows and nicely done rustic wall.
In middle of them you will see a stage where live band performs, opposite to which lies the heart of the restaurant, the kitchen and yeah it is a open kitchen so hygine levels would be good enough.
Also this place would be liked by people who love to click , such are the lights.

Coming to service and waiters , they try thier best to comfort you and serve nicely but things do get
jumbled up sometimes which I think can be sorted with some training but I must say they are all polite and well behaved.

Now comes the best part of the place , FOOD , most of us care more about food and less about ambiance but then some places like Spezia amaze us by awesome ambiance and fantastic food as well. The owner of the place is chef himself and has been associated with some big names in past , which would be evident enough when you'll eat here.
I've been here twice in which one was a food sampling and both the time experience was superb.

What I've had here-
a)Mezzo Platter- It is thier signature dish and the title given to it is justified by the amazing hummus,
baba ganoush and Tzatziki dips served with Pita bread etc. Everything in this platter is awesome and people who
like Mediterranean would be happy to have this

b)Habanero Cottage Cheese- As the name explains the cottage cheese is well marinated by Hot habanero chillies and is very well balanced by the potato rosti.

c)All Veg Pizza- Thier sauce is really good and thin crust pizza , well balanced falvors

d)Burritos- Again amazing stuff good amount of cheese and very delicious fillings

e)Moroccan grilled vegetables - This was served in tangine , it had nicely cooked veggies in it along with dry fruits and the rice was saffron blended , I am not a fan of dry fruits if it's used anywhere except desserts ,even then I liked it.

In desserts we had panna cotta and baked cheese cake - panna cotta was plain and simple with awesome sauce of honey/orange and fresh cracked pepper .

I had watermelon guava punch which was very refreshing, all most all places serve mocktails but only few places have good ones and Spezia is amongst those few.

They also served onion rings which were too good which made me realise that being in a dry state has it's disadvantages.

This place is an awesome combination of nice food and beautiful ambiance , they need to work on live music and it will be a perfect dining place.
All the best Team Spezia :)
I went there for Valentine's day, they had a fixed menu which didn't work out at all. The food looked straight out of a frozen food carton (ready made and ready to serve). It seemed that they had given their chef a day off. It was the worst experience, and they had chosen for this day probably the worst singers ever. It sounded more like screeching and moving the furniture from one place to another.

I love this place.
Place is awesome.
Food was super awesome
Mocktail, maxican and specially desert was superb.
Full to paisa wasool.........

Have tried this restaurant 2 times and has been an pleasant experience till now. Located in usually less crowded PVR Acropolis Mall on SG Highway, easy to access. Service was always helpful and they tried to make special out of way grilled fish which was great, suggest try Pasta, Pizza and Grilled Seafood and vegetables. Have not sampled Chicken yet.
Food 4/5, Service 4/5, Location 4/5, Ambiance 3.5/5.
Try and make your own opinion.

Visited this amazing place with my friends recently!! previously know as Souq bistro & Grill, now reopened at the same place with name Spezia Bistro & Grill House (different owner & chef)...located in acropolis mall and rarely you will find this kind of ambiance & decor in restaurant (specially in a mall)...to start with they have one of the best decorated walls and nice seating arrangement...the best part was that they have taken care of lights arrangement for perfect dining experience...

In the mocktail we had Watermelon guava punch which was refreshingly good...not too much sweet and right amount of ice in it ..this was the best mocktail I had in a long time (must have)
In the starter we had Habanera cottage cheese(potato base) which has one potato kind of patties (deep fried) and marinated Paneer...they both were really good ,and you can eat it without chutney or deeps also...
next was Chef's signature Mezzo platter which had really amazing hummus and I can say one of the best place in the city where you can get hummus...all the dips were superb ....
We had onion rings which were just okay not bad not good kind of....
the next was Spezia pizza Veg (which was the best thin crust pizza) -right amount of toppings, sauces and perfectly thin crust base...(dont miss this one if you are pizza lover)
The next dish was Burritos in the main course..it looked like cheesy but it wasnt...they have put right amount of cheese ,the dish was simple yet tasty...!!
then we had Mortician Grilled vegetables, it was for rice lovers ,personally I love this dish, has right amount of sweet and spiciness ,rice were well cooked plus grilled vegetables and dry fruits ...delicious
and we had two desserts one was Panna cotta which was fluffy & perfect texture and not too sweet, honey on the top, liked it...the next was a winner all the way ..the baked cheesecake which was so so so good,..yummy,delicious !!( a must have)

In short it was fine dining experience of good food, ambiance and service...!!! Bring your special one here you wont be disappoint...!!!
The Chef From India
The place is located at ground floor of acropolis where previously souq used to operate. The location is very good and the most amazing part is that they have 2 whole levels of basement parking space which is such a relief if you ask me!

On entering the place you'll find well lit sort of Arabian - Mediterranean country villa with huge chandeliers and blue white bone China plates on the wall and one entire wall literally covered in spices. The seating is nicely spaced out and very comfortable. The staff is trained and moves swiftly from one table to another. Very prompt and efficient.

Coming to the food. It is not what we usually get in Ahmedabad, it is different but in a very good way. They have customised the dishes to the Indian palate but at the same time haven't indianised the whole thing. That was very refreshing and new for us, everyone loved that. Usually it so happens that one or two dishes out of the 10 that we have, need some work but here, the majority couldn't agree on anything that needed major improvements. Almost everything was amazingly delicious and perfectly cooked, be it veg or non veg.

We had :

Chef's signature Mezzo platter - 4.5
Watermelon guava punch - 4.5
Onion rings - 5
Veg and non veg pizzas (thin crust) - 4.5
Chicken Tender - 3.5
Habanera cottage cheese(potato base) - 4
Spezia pizza Veg & Non veg Burritos -4
Mortician Grilled vegetables and Chicken -4.5
Panna cotta - 4.5
Baked cheese cake - 3.5

The place is amazing and the chef is very courteous and polite. I would love to visit them again because they have a short and sweet menu but the innovation is carried out in a marvellous manner. I mean I have seen places that try to woo people with all sorts of tricks including liquid nitrogen and what not, failing miserably. But this one place has done what needs to be done by keeping it simple and subtle. Amazing taste with great ambience! Kudos!
First Impressions - I most certainly did not expect to be blown away by such grandeur, certainly not inside a mall - but I was, and I so remain.
That said, the restaurant is pretty easy to locate, and not to hidden away.
Ambience - It is the one thing that manipulates my reviews a lot, over and above great food. The ambience here was absolutely mind blowing - I certainly didn't expect such classy interior decor in a restaurant inside a mall. Don't be fooled by the facade, there is much more on the inside. Perfect lighting which focuses on the plates and nowhere else. One thing that constantly pinched me was the music.
Service - The service was decent, nothing very special. The ambience and the food certainly overshadows the service. This is one aspect which can use a little more effort. There was, however, nothing wrong with the service, just that if it was better, the place could do a lot better. But hey, it's just my opinion.
Food - We had a watermelon guava cooler, which was fabulous - never have I ever tasted such a great mocktail anywhere in Ahmedabad. Next in line were onion rings, which could have been better. Then, we had Chef's signature Mezzo Platter - the hummus was absolutely delectable - I might daresay, one of the best in Ahmedabad. Then we had the Hebanara Cottage cheese and potates. The potato patty was lovely, but, sadly, I'm not a huge fan of cottage cheese. Then, we had the Chicken Tender, which was, again, absolutely fantastic - although, the sauce served with it could do with a little more spice. Then, we had pizzas - thin crust - absolutely delightful. I couldn't get enough of the pizzas (I don't think I ever will, even if I eat one for lunch and one for dinner, every day). Then, we had the Burritos - despite the sad appearance, they were surpringly delicious. Then, we had the Mortician grilled vegetables, which were great as well. We ended the meal with Panna Cotta and Baked Cheese Cake. The Panna Cotta was much like custard and yet so very different, in texture and in taste, and I absolutely loved it. And although I'm not a very big fan of chessecakes, I absolutely loved this one.
Ps: if you are expecting an indianised version of any of the dishes, do not go here and do not rate the negatively because they didn't serve the indianised versions...

This was earlier known as souq but now there is a new restaurant in place of souq which is spezia.
The ambience is really nice soothing and very unique.
We had Chef's signature Mezzo platter
Watermelon guava punch which was one of the best mocktail in Ahmedabad.
Chicken Tender was fried chicken it was a little chewy not so good.
Habanera cottage cheese with hash brown as a base it had the right amount of spices and tasted great.
Spezia pizzas were amazing one of the best thin crust pizzas. They were paper thin with loads of toppings and it was juicy too.
Burritos as main course was again really good. It looked so simple yet it was delicious.
Mortician Grilled vegetables with rice which was pretty good.
For dessert I had my first Panna cotta here it was served with saffron and spices and it was perfectly cooked like you see in masterchef with that wiggly jelly like feature.
Baked cheese cake was very fragrant smelled of raspberries and tasted very well too.
Cleary this is one of the best places I have had dinner at!

The food is great, but it is the ambience that makes it worth the money. Food is a little expensive but the quality and the service more than make up for it. I'd recommend this place for people who love Continental food. Must say though, sea food lovers will enjoy this place the most.
Aiswarya
The Bistro scores high in terms of ambience, service and quality of food. Price is little towards the higher side. Quantity could be improved too. Ventilation system didn't seem to be very sound at the restaurant but it was manageable.
We got to know that there is live music in the evening during the weekends. Sadly, we dropped by in the afternoon. King fish, Molten house chocolate dessert and the drink with jalapeño and ginger are worth a mention. Overall, it was a good experience and we would definitely visit again!

Great place to have a meal.
Awesome ambience, good food, nice music and welcoming staff.
We ordered Moroccan Tagine , Greek lamb stifado, King Fish and House molten Cake. All the food items were amazing. The House molten cake had chocolate oozing out and the cake was freshly baked and was too yum. One must try this dessert at this restaurant.
The food is a bit costly though. And the drinks are not that great.

Food: 5/5
Drinks: 2/5
Ambience: 4.5/5
Service: 5/5
Differentiator: Tasty food and presentation of food
Wow...this is really good bistro to visit...Super food, good ambiance and live music. This is very happening place to visit where they serve good pizza, italian dishes and one of the best non-veg platter we had. It was having Chicken, fish, motton and prawns all together in one platter. Must try...

Mamamiaaa!!!

We enter on weekend at Spezia Bristo & Grills!!!

Interior is eye catchy, like you enter at European restaurant. 👍 Old songs live music was ongoing.

Food quality & quantity is admirable. Suggestions from restaurant representative was admirable during order placing. 😇

All soups are recommended and unique in taste. Tapas vegetarian starters worth to try especially Chilli herb cottage cheese skewers, Tofu Ped preview waan & mini tacos.

I avoid Pizza & fast food. But the wood fire pizza collection of restaurant is awesome & mouth-watering. 😋. Morroccan Green Veg is very impressive in presentation & taste.

Cheese Rivoli & Eggplant Lasagne are too good to taste. Over all no criticize on food quality, service & taste.

I m vegetarian, non veg food not tries...sorry reviewers...😔

Interior - 4.5/5
Food Quality – 4.5/5
Services – 4/5

Budget for two - 1200 INR

Claps for the great experience & services 👏

I visited this place for the very first time after recommend by one of my friends and believe me it was a best experience I had so far..SPEZIA BISTRO is one of the best cafeteria in Hudson Lane, GTB Nagar, Delhi.# beautiful place so well designed and serves excellent food with great service.. Please must give a try for its cherry ambience and delicious dishes..
Amit
Nice interior, service is pretty good. Food is good if you know what you are ordering. A definite 5 for interior.

The interior's really beautiful😍
Price 🤗 worth the food

Space 👍 perfect for family aswell friends gathering

Weekends😍 live music and well organized staff

Desserts ❣️ Omg! drooling over the "House molten Cake" anyone visiting this restaurant, please do try this.
"Creme brulle" dessert was not really tasty, but thats okay, not every dish is expected to be perfect 😬

Food 😍😍 we had ordered mini tacos (must try ~ they have really great stuffing~ ask them not to add Lettuce, taste spoiler), all Veg pizza (couldnt ask for better one, it was just perfect), mexican Rice (its my all time favourite in almost all restaurants🙈)

Mocktails❣️❣️ i'm raiting it 5' just because of the mocktails, specially the Spicy tangy mocktail, i'm. Or remembering the name, it was just as per my taste, sweet aswell spicy at the end😍😍 Also we tried Mint Mojito & spezia special, they were good too'
Coming to Ahmedabad after a long time and visited this place with a friend, I would have given complete 5star but this place looses 2star because of Mushroom & Washroom.

We ordered Onion, Capsicum & Mushroom Pizza in which Mushroom were bad in quality and on the top we asked to use the Washroom the waiter mentioned that we don't have Washroom you have to use Mall Washroom. Like seriously? Running a restaurant and no Washroom.........

Ambiance very nicely done, gives good feel. Nacho was the highlight and the superstar of the day.

All the best for this new place, please figure Washroom space.
This place used to be Souq bistro and grills... I am happy that the place has been reopened with the different name by the different owner though.. The best part is ambience, off course... superb Decor..
Weekend live music adds to the ambience..
The food part has improved as compared to souq..
We had ordered
1. Mushroom Ailio: taste was decent, though I am not a fan of mushrooms
2. Vegetarian platter: too much quantity for a couple if ordered as a starter.. We had to make it our main course... each part tasted delicious
3. Lemon mint margarita and some spicy guava drink: both were good
4. Pannacotta: perfect taste with more than perfect texture

Wanted to try their Wood fire pizza, but we were full.. so some other day😊
This place is a bit pricey, but it's worth for the ambience and food...
Geethu Francis Alapatt
Awesome ambience and amazing food with great service! Tried the prawn butter garlic there.. It was made perfectly and the creme brûlée was just too good.. Every dish has a professional touch to it and is very well presented ..Will definitely go back there..

Super ambience & fabulous food. Loved the wood fired thin crust pizza.. we ordered all veg... the grilled veg platter was also good. ... will surely visit again .

Souq bistro and grills is now spezia . Same place same great ambience with different name.
Well decorated and the lights were perfect for nice dining experience.

Food was as usual very good. We ordered Caesar salad which was good. The all veg wood fried pizza was excellent. Lamb chop was also very good. A nice option to dine out for both veg and non veg lovers. The house molten cake was nice too.

Food was excellent and authentic. We ordered all veg pizza and lasagne. Both were topped and mixed with exotic vegetables and taste was too good. We would definitely return to try other items in the menu.

The food is expensive as it was with the predecessor. Souq legacy continues with quiet and charming decor. Feta Watermelon salad was decorated well. Lacked feta desperately. Mediterranean platter did full justice. Hummus was perfect and so were the falafel.

Well mannered staff and awesome ambience. Must visit. I'll surely visit it again. Pina colada and king fish was just mouth watering. Thanks for such a wonderful food.

I have always loved the Mediterranean ambience of this place. It just transports one out of Ahmedabad to an exotic location far far away. Coming to the food.. heavenly is just one word for describing it. For starters, we ordered the lamb chops with the Damascus sauce.. the sauce was perfect and the meat was tender and cooked to perfection. Next we had the seafood ravioli with lemon cream sauce. Man.. the burst of flavours with each bite was so exquisite.. the chef definitely needs to be applauded. We went on to have smoked scamorza stuffed chicken breast. To be honest, right now I have run out of adjectives to describe the food this place can dish up. So pardon me. Suffice it to say, this too was delicious. By then we were too full to even think about dessert. So I cannot give u my thoughts on those.. They have a good drinks menu.. I forgot the name of the mock tail I had. But it was sweet, tangy & Yummm..!! My husband had his ever faithful mojito, except this time he went for the watermelon one. I was sceptical because personally I feel this is a tricky one to get right and has the danger of ending up as a syrupy concoction. But.. No!! The Spezia Bistro guys have nailed it!!! It actually tasted like watermelon and was refreshing. The overall experience was nicely rounded up by the live music and the extremely courteous and thoughtful staff.. Kudos team Spezia Bistro & Grills House..!!Keep up the good work..!!

Zomato sent in a Complimentary Meal Voucher for 2 and this place is unexplored was the conclusion one could have as not many people know about it. Well they are a Bistro where in there are dishes served like the posh restaurants as in the Chef
Specials where the proportion is less but every bite is heavy and it seems like one ate enough. Tried the House Spl Cottage Cheese Ratatouille which was intricate and magnificiently made, the soft base of cottage cheese with tomato puree gravy that made the ratatouille perfect, it was presented very well. Dining there felt as if one was eating at some international high end food joint with fancy food. All the other items on the dish are similarly interesting and one dish is sufficient for two people! Go there for a stylish date with family or friend and it is worth the visit.

I ordered lunch from Spezia for home delivery today and again dropped in for dinner. And I'm happy that I did because I've ended up eating quite a lot of servings of fresh vegetables!
Even though it's a grill house, I was particularly (and oddly) interested in the Indian meals as I often forget to cook! So that happened today and I ordered the Indian vegetable meal that comes with Indian bread for home delivery. The rotis were soft roomali roti type rotis and they compliment the lightly flavored Indian sabzi well. Best part is that the meal isn't oily at all. The Greek salad was filling and fresh; and the dressing had nicely balanced flavors.
The woodfired pizza I had for dinner was light and loaded with vegetables, and so were the mini tacos. I also tried the cheese and jalapeño croquettes and they're served with a garlic mayonnaise dip. I think additional sweet chili type dip would taste great with it.
The food was prepared promptly and service was great. Thanks for the great food and hospitality :)

Walked into the renamed Spezia Bistro. The ambience remains the same as the earlier Souq Bistro but the menu has changed a fair bit.

We ordered a veg. platter and chilli chicken sausages both were flavourful. Special mention to the Peri Peri skewers and cottage cheese in the veg platter, Nicely done.

We also got the grilled king fish in chilli coriander sauce, the sauce tasted good except that the fish wasn't grilled as well as we would have liked it. The roasted potatoes that came as sides were too good.

Fell in love with this place as soon as i saw the pictures on zomato. So i decided to give it a try. And i am so glad i did!
We ordered a habanera cottage cheese for starters, it was delicious.
Next we ordered pasta arrabbiata. It was the best pasta i have had in Ahmedabad. All the flavors were so balanced, i could taste each and every spice and herb that they had put.
The interior and ambience is beautiful, they also had 2 musicians there who played melodious music, it was so soothing.
After a lip smacking dinner, the owner came to our table and asked us about our dinner. He was so humble and courteous. I really appreciate it when owners/managers add this personal touch, it shows that the customers are being cared for and valued.
Looking forward to my next visit here!

To Whosoever is reading this review, put spezia bistro & grills on your wishlist!!

The interiors are still the same but the food is much better! Well cooked with all the balance of flavours. Service by staff is hospitable, new guys trying v hard to make you comfortable. But where do you get so much attention these days? Head over there for some quiet time with good company. The live music was a total let down tho. Need some flavour in that part!

When I first saw this I thought Souq had reopened, but that was not the case. Turns out that one of the same Chef has taken over the place, and it did not disappoint! They haven't changed much in terms of the ambience of the place, and the food was great as well. We ordered a risotto which was cooked to perfection, and the chef sent us a mint Mojito on the house and it was great aswell. Lastly I ordered an Apple Pie, and even though I am not a fan of Ice cream on my apple pie, the caramel and vanilla ice cream were a great addition to the Pie. Overall a great experience. Unfortunately the place is a little underrated, quiet possibly because of its location..

In the land of pure veg restaurants this one is a real keeper. Very creatively done decor and quick service. The menu is pretty varied to choose and the mocktails were very good. The amount per serve is exorbitant and we ended being stuffed but no one was complaining.

Beautiful Ambiance, Great Service ... However the prices for dishes are little overpriced as compare to the quantity they serve. But good food, great taste !! One Should Must Visit !!

Ordered Spiced Vegetable from mains and grills section with the description - "Spiced vegetables with cottage cheese" (Paneer). However, when the dish arrived it was just vegetables in gravy without any paneer (cottage cheese). When I asked about it, the staff had no idea the dish had paneer in it. The whole incident was very weird. They offered to redo the dish though.
The food: The food is presented really well. The taste of Paneer sabzi minus the paneer was still very good. It was cream based, a little on the sweet side but very flavourful. The vegetables in the sabzi tasted crisp and fresh. The basil pesto pasta that I had ordered was well done too. It was without any base of heavy cream and tasted exactly how it should. The quantity is neither a lot nor too less. Enough for two people. They served herb rice with the sabzi which deserves a 10/10. Freshly made with a very good aroma.
Ambience: Even though they call themselves a Bistro, they could easily pass as a fine dining place. They have live entertainment sessions every weekend. Will visit on a weekend to experience that.
Service: The service can be improved by training the staff well about the menu. Otherwise, they are polite and respectful.
I would like to visit them once again by giving them a benefit of the doubt regarding the error in the paneer sabzi.

Neither bad nor good. Ambiance is really raw and full of spices based theme. Mid range. Not a place to hangout. A decent Dine-in place with family.

Broccoli almond soup- must try
