A famous breakfast joint. We had our breakfast here on our trip to Amdavad. Very tasty food but price is on the higher side. A cup of normal tea costs rs.70 which is quite high, however it was really good. Had the best jalebis here out of all the jalebis that I tasted in Gujarat in my trip.
This place had an authentic gujarati breakfast. Had visited after a heartbreaking worldcup loss.
The food was so good. Jalebi fafda was the best. Tea was very very good. We also had the methi gotha. The food was served very quickly. It was crowded when we visited. The cost is on the upper side, but a must try
A very nice place to have breakfast and snacks. Itβs mainly marked for South Indian food. But they have a wide variety of North Indian snacks. Jalebi and Fafada are their signature items and they have this laliva kachori that you should try out. If you come to Ahmedabad, this is one of the must try places to have food.

Perfect place to have Sunday breakfast of jalebi and fafda. Warm and welcoming staff who feed you with love.
Had their khaman, jalebi, fafda and gota. It was amazing.
The raw papaya salad they serve with their fafda is also very nice.
They can definitely improve the ambiance of the place slightly I feel as their prices are slightly on the higher side compared to other restaurants serving similar food.
When you crave for jalebi this is the best place to visit. Crispy yet melting in mouth jalebis. Amazing fafda.
However a little over pricey. Costed one plate of jalebi (4 pcs) and a plate of fafda 220 rs.
A masala dose costs 250 rs and tea costs 70 rs. I would rather have it at an authentic South Indian restaurant charging over 100 rs.

Oshwal is a very old restaurant of the city mostly famous for its Gujarati food items like Fafda, Dhokla & Jalebi. It is located in the heart of the city on Ashram Road near Income Tax Office. When I entered into the restaurant the ordinary furniture & interior (in fact there was nothing in the name of interior) grabbed my attention and made me think whether my decision of visiting this old restaurant was correct or not; however, the taste of food did not disappoint me. But remember, the price of each food item is little bit higher as compare to the service and ambience you get here. The cleanliness and service are the area where improvement is required just to match atleast the level of the restaurant's pricing. If you have eaten jalebi of Jodhpur, then Jalebi of this restaurant is nothing infront of it.
Parking: Pay and park facility managed by AMC is available just infront of the restaurant (No free parking is available around).
Quality of food is good he famous for fapda and jalebi . Cost of this 2 items are little costly ,.but every time you get fresh items . Fapda serve with papya sambhara and kadhi . Jalebi and fapda both are crunchy . He offer extra kadhi and chutney freely. Staff is also friendly.
We ordered fafda and jalebi, Jalebi was very crispy and tasty, fafda is as always delight to eat at oswal.

I went on match day so service was terrible as food came almost half an hour late

If you are in Ahmedabad and looking for a typical Gujarati food, please, please visit Oswal restaurant especially during the breakfast hours. You will get amazing and authenticate Gujarati food. Recently visited Ahmedabad to was cricket world cup and got an opportunity to visit this restaurant. This is really amazing and you will fall in love with vegetarian food
Delicious Jalebi fafda and other stuff too but bit over priced but worth it
A little conceited, there's a clear lack of hospitality, and their actions make you feel unwelcome, but the food makes up for much of it.
Visited this place again after 2021 and this should be surely in your Go-to list whenever you are in Ahmedabad!
