Review Amazo - Ahmedabad

One of the oldest places now has a great new look and feel, the bistro concept is awesomely presented. The ambience is 5/5, the food taste can be a bit improved the presentation of the food is awesome and wouldn't mind recommending this to others. I didn't get a chance to try the egg items much I have heard that their egg items are superb.

It provides great quality of food. Service is nice. Good for quick bite. A nice place to try out mexican and italian but not as per my expectations. The ravioli turned out to be very sweet while the pizza was overcooked and tasteless. Ambience is average with 5/5 while food (especially berry mocktail won my heart)so i'll give 3.75/5. It's an expensive restaurant so plan your dates accordingly😉

The food is delicious but the price is comparatively high then other restaurants. But I would definitely go again for the mocktails!!

Had a Broccoli Cappuccino Soup

One of the costliest restaurant in Ahmedabad.. And the worst part is quality and quantity as compare to prices of the dishes they take..<br/><br/>Visited this restaurant with cousins last month.. As it was sunday we got table little late as compare to what we were expecting.. We ordered Broccoli Cappuccino Soup, Lemon Coriander with Cheese Soup, Sunion Pizza, Mexican Rice with Salsa Curry and Lemon Cilantro Rice with Ranch Curry.. Starting with taste.. We liked both soup.. Both were unique in taste.. Sunion pizza was having some different taste.. I still believe that pizza sauce was not up to mark and because of which taste was not good at all.. Both rice along with curry was also good.. We liked Lemon Cilantro Rice more as it is something that you cannot expect at every restaurant..<br/><br/>Service was on average side.. Not that fast and not too slow.. Ambience is cool.. In all, it was just soups and rice which we liked but I don't think feasible to pay enough amount over here as it is too costly..

Has to be the worst dinner experience.<br/><br/>They have 6 bar stool on each side in the middle island. When we walked in there were 2 women sitting on the extreme left. That leaves 4 empty. When the person who greeted us told us we would have to wait, even though there were 4 + 6 = 10 bar stools empty. We didn't argue and patiently waiting outside. 10 minutes later, the women walked out without ordering and a couple went in at the same time and sat down in that spot, now sitting right in the middle, leaving two empty on each side. So when I confronted the guy who greeted us, how come they were allowed to sit before us, he said we had told him we did not want to sit on the island. I asked him when did we say that? He was the one who denied us a spot because we were sitting next to the two women. He lied through his teeth. Straight up. I was furious at this point. Then he accepted he lied, and because I did not want to make a fuss of this I went outside and waited. <br/><br/>Then comes ordering, took them 10 minutes just to come for order. We can cut them some slack because it was Sunday. <br/>But half way through the dinner, no water was served. I mean seriously!?!? Food wasn't that great either. Pav bhaji fondue and Pizza were over spicy, probably taking some sort of revenge. <br/>We noticed three other table people noticeably furious with either their bill not coming on time/food arrived but no plates. It felt as if we had to beg and remind them for everything. <br/>Out of 10 <br/>Serivce -10<br/>Food 1<br/>Ambience 8<br/><br/><br/>Ps the image shows half way through dinner and no water was served.

Quality of food is worst & service is also poor. The waiters are also irresponsive. All the dishes are also very costly and not worth the money. The cost of one masala papad is 100 bucks!

Worst place to have dinner. Me and my friends were almost finished with the dinner but still they didnt serve us drinking water as seen in the photo. I would advice everyone who is thinking of checking this place out, that they go to some place else, to avoid a disastrous experience. The standard of service and the quality of food is also very poor. Never coming back to this restaurant ever. Thumbs down.

One of the worst restaurant in ahmedabad...the service, staff and food are all of lower standards...we went on last sunday and were the first customers of that evening.. we reached there by 7:45... after giving order we waited there for 20mins for our first order soup ( broccoli cappuccino)..The soup was good. Then after waiting another 20 mins they placed the second item dat was panner steak sizzler...one of the worst sizzler i had which was not at all hot..the panner was stale and was smelling...then came our main course in which we ordered chesse butter masala, dal tadka and roti. The main course was also not hot..we called the waiter and complaint him and the excuse he given us was sir sizzler se pehle main course ready tha so thoda thanda ho gaya😡. We asked him for quarter plate and he replied sir we dont serve quarter plates for roti. Ok den we asked him for some bowls to serve the dal..and wow he told us they dont have bowls too...and then he served us dal in 3 different bowls..and the cherry on top was we waited agin 15 mins to repeat the order for rotis as the staff and manager were busy in some dispute on another table with same food quality and service related matter..and finally the came up with the bill in which they waived off the service tax and service charge. So the sunday diner has cost us 1hr 45 mins for such a pathetic food and service. A big No to this restaurant agar koi free main khilaye toh bhi😡

Your usual hangout place for young folks. The ambience was okay, seemed like it was better back in the day. The food though is nice, loved everything i ate, be it mexican or italian. (Din't try indian). The service is good. Overall experience well above avergae.

Relaxed and really subtle ambience with causal interiors makes this Cafe a among various must visit once cafes. Food as well as service slightly short but taste makes up for that. <br/>Starters are must ! Do try<br/>

They don't accept Sodexo. Instead of informing us in prior when told that we will be paying using Sodexo, the manager instead went onto talk badly, using crude language. Meal passes valid till 31st December were not accepted. When asked to give a written statement of the condition, the manager refused and further continued loudly talking with us.

The food was not that good and its too costly. The masala papad cost ₹100. WTH are you guyz fooling us. If you guyz wanna go make sure you have a heavy budget or else never try with your friend group <br/>

Fancy food! When you like your food to look pretty and decorative plus have a good taste this place can be visited. They serve great food with art, the Paneer dish was really delicious with Panner being perfectly soft and tasty. The dessert was really appealing as well!

It is the new Avtar of Amazo restaurant....<br/><br/>It was always a favourite.... Very near to my house.... Location is great,..... Parking is ample....<br/><br/>Food is nice with very good service to back it.... They try hard to customise things..,,<br/><br/>Drinks are quite good.... Starters are excellent...<br/><br/>Sandwiches are a must try.... Deserts are good..., <br/><br/>Pricing is a bit on the higher side but worth it....

I visited Amazo after a long hiatus. The place has changed a lot, not for the better. The ambience lacked the air of fine dining it used to have earlier. The food covers up for this though. We had Potato Roastie, Chilli Cheese Toast, Creamy Pesto Pasta, Pinwheel Roulade, Works Pizza, Kitkat shakes and Brownie squares. Most of it was flavoursome.<br/>My pick : Pinwheel Roulade

We love this place. We have been here countless times for lunch and dinner. It has a light airy atmosphere, is spotlessly clean and has wonderful staff. The menu is varied enough that we always find something that suits our mood for the day. The food is always fresh, flavorful and well prepared. This is a veg restaurant and has some alternatives to Indian cuisine which we like such has Mexican and pasta dishes.  They are open continuously from lunch until dinner time so we can dine early if we want to. We are expats from the US so often like to eat before 7:00. We will continue to dine here weekly which we have done since our arrival in early April 2016. I was sorry to see bad reviews as we have never had anything was fresh, delicious meals here.

But today, came to know that taste can be below average too and quantity too half or even less.<br/>Few days back we had DAAL MAKHANI FONDUE , of AMAZO ,SINDHU BHAWAN ROAD . It was to die for and it alone was more then sufficient for 3 ppl.<br/><br/>Today being fathers day we took my fil, who generally is very reluctant about restaurants ,to amazo , HL college to give him an out of world exp of tht daal makhani fondue. But to my amaze, it was below average, and one naan was served only . Whereas at sindhu bhawan , they serve 4 diff types of naan with that same daal makhani fondue with a taste which is out of the world. Highly disappointed. Mexican rice with salsa curry was also below average in taste.<br/><br/>Never go thr specially on ur special days

I liked it very much. Ambience was very good. It was like a real bistro. Food was awesome. I like the way they serve the food. I like the starters over there it was also awesome. Quite expensive but it was worth it. Mocktails were also good. Good choice of food and availability of food in the menu. I liked it very much.

Me and my friend went to this place with very high hopes... And it was completely opp to what we expected. <br/>We ordered nachos which tasted okay with cheese but when we ate it with the so called sour cream (it was curd mixed with salt and pepper) it tasted pathetic. Ofcourse we have had nachos many times before but sour cream never tasted this way. We left them.<br/>Then we orderes olives ravioli as we were very hungry. If you are serving bread with curry dishes, please make sure that the bread isnt dipped in the sauce already. Not every customer likes the bread to be already dipped in the sauce and you have to find ways to hold that bread. Though pasta was still okiesh. Edible. But nothing great at all.<br/>The best part of our food was the polo which was served with bill! <br/>Not recommended at all<br/><br/><br/>

Had been to this place 5 years back, it was great then, and it is great now. The only slack is the ambience which is a little unkempt! Otherwise the food is brilliant, the food presentation is also apt! we ordered a margarita, mexican rice with salsa curry, nutella cold coffee and brownie shake. Everything was just lip smacking! Not being a spicy food lover, they made both the items with a perfect balanced flavour on request! Looking forward to try other menu soon!

One of better place to spend your evenings having food. The place is very tastefully renovated and is very inviting. The staff and service is up to the mark. Coming on to the food, the might not be extremely elaborate but they give you enough options even if you keep frequenting the place like me. The presentation of the food is very rare at Ahmedabad for restaurants that are of affordable range. Personal favorites are Egg Salli and Dal Makhni Fondue apart from few more dishes. Highly recommended to by yourself and also take friends from outside to experience how the food culture at Ahmedabad is growing by leaps and bounds.

Quality of the food is good. Presentation of food is very good. Ambiance is very good. If u r tall don't use lower sitting it's not comfortable.

With low height sofas and table.<br/><br/>The arrangement of artifacts was hindering my view towards the TV screen as i could not see the IPL match.<br/>Otherwise pure taste. Meticulous service. The server made sure not a single grain of rice falls on table. Must visit

Served with stale pizzas which were immediately removed from the bill when the chef and restaurant manager was made to sniff. Lost it. Worth missing. Be safe

When u are married you need to have dinners for every occasion... <br/>So this was one more occasion (obviously will not disclose here). <br/><br/>I thought it would be just another dinner, but to my surprise we went to Amazo and it astonished me by its ambience... Was a little scared by the loneliness but than it turned out to be the best friend for a dinner... (If u remember i mentioned amdavadis need to understand the importance of silence while eating).. <br/><br/>Service was excellent (off-course had to be .. We were alone in the restaurant) <br/>But the staff was really cordial <br/><br/>So we ordered only four things <br/>1. Tacos <br/>2. Kathi roll (stuffed with copped paneer and very good favour green chutney, it gets a little tangy due lot of paneer)<br/>3. Gourmet pizza (onions additional as toppings) <br/>4. It has changed for good. The new avatar of Amazo is much better than earlier one. The menu is also nice. I believe it basically depends on the order we place that we like the restaurant or not. Sometimes placing a wrong order gives us a negative impression of food. Same was the case for me on my previous visit to Amazo but my last 2 visits, 1st was forcefully & 2nd was by choice, changed my perception abt Amazo's food. Loved it a lot. Wud definitely visit again n again.

Renovated ambient effect gave a good first impression of the bistro.. Excellent ambience and presentation of food.. And humble staff..<br/><br/>Was afraid to try the jain option.. But they didn't gave any chance for a second thought..<br/><br/>Pinwheel roulade, Hyderabadi biryani and ice cream soda are must try..<br/>Gourmet pizza was sober and lovely.. Tomato basil soup gave a perfect onset.. Don't try mint mojito!<br/>Music was perfect for a holiday noon. Loved Mr.Probz selection.<br/><br/>A bit over priced.. But loved the food and place ambience.. Utensils used were good.. A simple n cool place to be..<br/>Add on - one can even hangout for cafe time.<br/><br/>Amazo is amazing!

Went there on Sunday night after watching a brilliant play by Shabana Azmi. As the play had started late, was really famished. Although there was a half an hour wait, the guy at front service was flexible enough to seat us. Service was great and timely, food was ok. We opted for few different dishes and none were outstanding but they were edible. One of the dishes flummoxed me and I sent it back. The chef came out to talk and they ended not charging for that particular dish. I would go back just for the service.

Amazo bistro :- A place that tells about the art for food from the ambience to the plating and taste....<br/><br/>It was sunday and we being at the center of the city thought to have some hogging after all the rakhadpattiii.... We searced for near by places and thought of newly opened amazo bistro..<br/><br/>As being sunday we were asked to be waited for 25 mins which i guess was obvious. But it just took 15 mins and we got the table with a great well from the steward.<br/><br/>Ambience:-<br/>It gives a feel of arts, science and yes kind of laboratry too. Nice seating arrangments with different options. Nice music and the uniform was the best in town i guess for the staff.<br/><br/>Food:-<br/>Menu was well balance and had item of many varieties.we were suggested some of their signature dishes.<br/>1. Broccolli cappuccino soup :- healthy bhi tasty bhi<br/>2.galouti killer:- super soft kebabs on beb of blue cheese naan amazing ****** stars rated<br/>3.potato pesto:- best potato starter i had before<br/>4.sunion pizza:- only the flavours talk must try<br/>5.egg paratha :- soft and the curry served along was yummie<br/>6.salli eggs:- rarely we get this in ahmedabad cooked to perferction<br/>7. It serves good food but don't know why is there no people gonig in here in week days.The best part is how they present the food while service needs to be improved.It may be the reason why there are not many people going there . The best part it's affordable.

Amazo usually has good food. I went there yesterday and don't think will ever go again to this particular branch. The place was a total mess. It was open but still had renovation going on. So the place wasn't appealing at all. They should have opened the place up only after the whole place was ready.

Its nearby my working place was eagerly waiting to be open, visited yesterday, ordered lavash,makhani fondue, cottage cheese steak with herb rice & Buttermilk. Except buttermilk everything is good, Service up to the mark. Staff is also good. Food quality and taste is mouth watering. Keep it up guys..! Wish you all the best
