Some panjabi items are not available. But food is good 😋

It is delicious for dal bati. Other items are also great so try want you want. Also having traditional seating arrangement. They have swing and indian bed for resting and waiting. Good space for parking and kids.

Everything is good. From the behavior of staff to the food. And I like buttermilk here .it was an original desi butter not amul. I gave five star for that

Very good restaurant on sg high near gota circle. Open air seating, seating under cover, seating on floor and seating on cot available. Very good kathyawadi and Punjabi cuisine served at a very reasonable rate.

If you want to taste and experience authentic dhaba style food then it is the place. You will feel smokyness in their items be it Punjabi or Rajasthani. I wouldnt say it is 100% hygienic but still not so bad at all.

Best place to go with family for traditional meals and quality is better than any other restaurants ✨

Ate dry fruit halwa, and tried many Gujarati dishes, amazing food and love it.

We have ordered khathiyawadi food but we are not sure what they serve we could not understood. we have never ate such kahtiyawadi food.food test was very bad. It is total waste of money. I must say never visit this place

I must say not to visit this place as 1) Poor service : we asked for lemon slices. And those came very late.2) Poor Quality: sabjis were worth worst taste with poor quality. 3)poor Management:when we asked manager about the service and quality,no proper response even we got. 4)May be hardly customers come there as during almost for an hour,we saw 4 - 5 families returned without dinner as they observed no services and less crowd with no starters available.<br/>I must say still if you want to visit this place,try at your own risk as there was totally waste of money with highly poor management.<br/><br/>I am writing this as i dont want others to have worst experience like me and my family.

Waste of money.. absolutely disappointed for the food. Had came here for the kathiyawadi thali and before coming to the place confirmed with the manager with the availability of the thali. After I reached.. the waiter said currently we are out if thali.. then we ordered the food from the venue .. again he served me the wrong again.. so he replaced it.. but again the main part the taste of the food was ridiculous.. and the service too.<br/>

Located on Sg highway .... before some time restaurant had a renovation but I visited both time but before renovation it was much much much better food quality service and poppet show as well but after renovation totally tasteless food and poor service....... need to improve management 😑

You always get what you expect in Gujarat and Kathiawadi... I heard that name years back and finally I had visited and its still the same. It was little hard to get to the place as there are so many out there, but I recommend to search online or start your location and you get to the place , Goras - Gota.

Today i visited goras, we order punjabi food and the quality is very bad and it was already expired sabji.... Please never go for goras guys🙏 it can affect your health

I visted goras on last thursday , hance i m shocked the food quality bad we order punjabi and unlimited kathyawadi vary oily preparation service too too bad and the price is so high as such as other hotel so pls dont west your money and time my guest is dis appinted dont ever go pls<br/>

Wrost place for thali. Don't even think of going there. Ordered kadiyawadi thali. Service took more than 45 min. All stuff was tasteless and service was pathetic.

The hosting of the place was extremely poor and unattended. Nobody cared to call even after waiting for an hour, and upon complaining, nobody still answered or care to serve with food. Overall, the place was terrible, its hosting poor and service uncalled for. Highly unrecommended.

One of the best place on s.g highway for late night dinners'.<br/><br/>I remember the time when we visited these place last june(2016), though I remember everything very clearly.<br/><br/>Food is really not so great as per the expectations'. I think the management have spent their entire budget on attractive and lavish interior damnnnnn !! And as a consequence the most important part i.e., Food is left behind in working at !!! There's a huge scope of improvement in Food and Hygiene. <br/><br/>However, usually these place Is over crowded. One has to wait atleast 20 minute's. The staff service is pretty nice. Seating arrangement belongs to stone-age.<br/><br/>One time visit for peace loving pocket friendly dine-out group of people.

Visited this place with office mates...... about 30 persons...... nice open space.... good cottages...... good food and service...... enjoyed a lot.....

So many restaurants on this road serve delicious food than this.<br/>always tally your bill, there are incidents of wrong billings. <br/><br/>Now the main point : It is under renovation at present (May-2017) and almost overhauled everything, the surroundings, the ambiance, etc.. this is good that they are renovating but then it should be closed completely for public. Just to earn few bucks, they just kept some plastic chairs at the end in dusty area (worse environment than typical roadside food where such plastic chairs arrangement done on the footpath)... with such arrangements , they are waiting for customers who are regular goers to gorus.... This is typical just money making mindset.. rather they would have declared it officially closed for some time, so that their interested customers could wait by that time, and can come once fully renovated and opened... but they dont care about their customers... they just want to make money even while construction,  renovation, dusts etc going on just beside you when you came for hangout.<br/>we reached there at around 9:00 pm and surprisingly all of the chairs were empty,<br/>Not a single customer was there... it just shows that people didn't like this idea. <br/>They should have sense to read public feeling otherwise won't survive.<br/><br/>I won't go ever to this restaurant.

Visited third time this place. Had been there on Sunday night!!!! Expected rush but expectations never fulfilled( happy this time) medium rush.First of let me told about the FOOD for what we were there. This time I go with Kathiyawadi fix dish. They ordered gulab jamun,sukhadi(which the king of the dish),khaman,kadhi,roti,thepla( awesome),four diff.sabjis( mix veg,chana,baingan,potatoes). Taste of sabjis was average. Kadhi nd khichdi also in my platter. They serve hajma hajam as cooler which has tangy flavour and I liked it most. Bucket of salads were also there. Overall the food was above the average.<br/><br/>Now.let me write about the place - ambience. Mainly, Goras has Rajasthani + Rajwadi theme based place - where you found Rajasthani folk singer who sings Rajasthani songs as well as Gujarati on harmonium. These adds sparkle to this place. <br/><br/>Enjoyed a lot last night. Worth to spend your money here. If you were in group of 8-9 people this place is best for you.<br/><br/>Happy to be there!!!!😉😉😉😉<br/>

The most expensive simple roasted papad I ever had (in life)... Rs. 30 per piece toh 5star me bhi nahi hota yaar. <br/>Its ok ok type... Khao and bhul jao type<br/>

If ones fond of typical Gujarati in a typical <br/>"desi ambiance", this is a place you can look for...<br/>Even waiting isn't that boaring due to traditional folk dances n village like setup..<br/><br/>Food is above average ...And Service is good too most of the time.<br/><br/>

People visited the place for its village type theme and Kathiyawadi food. I personally like to visit Goras. As i heard a lot about Goras, I have been there for Kathiyawadi Food. I ordered some kathiyawadi food and mentioned that to make it little bit spicy. They served after lot of waiting and after taste of a bit thought that' ye kaha aa gaye".... Again ask to manager to make it little bit spicy.  Ohhh.. They make it too much spicy.. you can not even eat. <br/>I will not suggest to anybody...

Punjabi food is very BAD.<br/><br/>Starting with Masala Papad, stuffing is  very less.<br/><br/>Kaju Curry ... Less kaju<br/><br/>cheese naan - feel like we are eating paneer naan. <br/><br/>At the end mukhwas  is also not good.<br/><br/>Price vs quality - price is very high compare to quality.

Great food, great ambinance, n great service. Had visited with colleagues for a birthday treat n it was an aaaaaamazing experience. Food was damn good piping g hot n tasty. Just loved their gulab jamun

I personally like this place but after last incident, I will not suggest.. First this they are charging pretty much on kathiyavadi thali which is 275 Rs. and they are also charging for 3 years baby also. Loot macha rakhi he..

I have visited with my family.. gujarati & kathiyavadi food lover this is nice restaurat.. 275 unlimited dinner.. but i like punjabi & globle food.. so this is not for me.. bcoz what i it at home same food i was eating at this restaurant.. nothing new.. but gujarati people enjoy this kind of food.. food quality is very good.. ambience is ok.. service is good.. so go for it for kathiyawadi thali.. thumbd up from my side..

I missed traditional kathiyawadi Thali alot...to my suprise this village themed restaurant was not only economical at 280 per Thali (unlimited) but the quality of the food was also finger licking.<br/><br/>There was a puppet show going on and the staff was very codial. <br/><br/>All n all value for money and had good time with family. <br/><br/>Keep it up!

2 star for the food and specially 1 star for the hangout place with family. Its amazing place for the family get to gathering puppet show is nice and enjoyable. Kathiyawadi food is okay not to much good and sitting arrangements are also Nice.

Goras as it name suggests that it is pure kathiyawadi restaurant with full of entertainment but it was about a 5 or more then that years ago when we were waiting for their waiters for water and to take an order we were very hungry and we need them to do possibly fast as their were no customers but the waiter was not good in behavior when we asked for it and make an amount of half hour for order thus I lost my temper and walk out of the door without any food and descided not to come again but about a 2 years ago I visit again and had a good food and service so 2.5 is for that..

As name explains and atmosphere which restaurants have created, this place seems to be made for kathiyavadi and punjabi food little food.. Don't try to have soups and starters here as you will not enjoy it but main course is awesome..

been there yesterday in family get together after Diwali vala atmosphere is good kids can play there without any tension <br/>come to food what to say it was pathetic nothing was gud punjabi food was like Gujarati taste and gujarati khathya vadee was miserable hot and sour soup was over spice and on top of it can have taste of cleaning liquid which they might use for washing crockery it was over all very very bad experience i wld never recommend any1 to go there

Worst experience ever. Ordered lasaniya bataka and it came out disgusting. While the manager was so rude and didn't accept that the dish was bad. I would rather stay home hungry instead of going this restaurant for dinner.

We landed here for a katwandi thali of Gujarat. They served with variety of rotis and sabzis. Tasty and delicious. We sat inside with Katwandi style seating on floor. Kadhi and Kichidi are the best.<br/><br/>The entire hotel was set in Village atmosphere. They serve in Garden also. There are few entertainment programme like puppet show, dances etc in Garden lawns. One can watch and eat. Puppet show is good.<br/><br/>I went once and didnot like to go again as I liked Katwandi food in dhabs along SG Highway rather here.<br/><br/>Suggestion: Can try once for Ambience and food. Repetion at your interest and risk.

Worst restaurant I have ever been.<br/>Nobody was giving proper response about waiting time. No response to guest. Very less waiting area especially due to rain no accommodation were done for guest all were getting wet. We were 25 members still no response from manager. Before few days we went for booking at that time they told they will accommodate but when we took guest there they were not bothered<br/><br/>Never ever go there

There are many open garden restaurants in ahmedabad on the sg highway stretch and this is one of them. Visited with family on my bday. though i found the quantity gud, but the taste was missing. We had ordered one starter-paneer tikka,one veg, one kathiyawadi dish and jalebi. All was ok, but i can say that I had better  food in other restaurants on the same stretch.

Food was awesome and the staff were extremely humble. We had kathiyawadi thali. But only downside of our dinner was that it was raining.. unseasonal in March. Not recommended on rainy days otherwise is a good place to spend time

Total waste of money food was on an average , for service there could be minus rating . If I had no other option available except this I will do fast.

Really awful food. Firstly, we waited for 1hr 30mins and although the ambience was good, the food was horrible. The staff was badly managed and took a lot of time to serve. We even had to wait for the bill for 15 mins. Not recommended!

Bad quality food.. Don't eat Punjabi food.. I have never seen this type of bad service.. Its just wastage of money... Price is very high as compare to service and quality.. eat at your risk...

This is one of my favorite place for an open garden restaurant. They serve a la carte and Gujarati buffet. They have huge garden space. The food is nice. But I love the garden more. They also have a guy who sings folk songs. After having your dinner, there is nothing like relaxing on khatia and listening to some songs, some of them you hardly understand but who cares! Its a good peace to go, have good food and relax with friends and family. Only thing is don't be in a hurry to rush in eat and go. Sometimes you got to give some time before or after to your meal to your surroundings to dwell in and give you that memorable experience.

The place is really Cool to hangout and food is really good,too. You can enjoy there with family .. Lovely food with cool place . Really a nice combo. Loved it !

Situated near gota cross roads.. good place for dinner outing and 'dhaba' style experience.. i was fascinated fron the begining with its haveli kind of huge and sturdy entrance.. they have tried to creat a village atmosphere.. but i loved the most about decor is the uneven cut table design with low sitting.. never go for other cusine than gujju/kathitavadi in such place!! I loved everything from bajara rotla with ghee-gol ,thepla,rignan nu bhadtu,sev tameta to end with vaghareli khichdi and kadhi!! Stuffed bhajiya-capsicum ,tomato,potato-were hot ,spicy ,crisp ,with lot of garlic!! Khajur anjeer vadmi for ending the dinner!! Dont forget to order buttermilk!! Food was ok but the added advantage is long drive fun!!

I m just back from goras and d first thing i m doin is writtin a review abt it .... A terrible , heartbreaking and money waste experience ... The soup tasted lyk piss , kathiyawadi food was tasteless and spicy , punjabi tasted lyk it was stale ... All in all i m never ever stepping in there again ... Spare urself and ur money frm diz disastrous experience by avoiding this place ..

First time i went their accidently.but then i realised that it is a nice place to hangout. They have enough space so i don't feel conjusted there. The main reason to hangout there is u feel like sorrounded by nature. Before food they do prayers. There is puppet show, folk music. Khat is there to pass your time with your loved ones. One must try paneer tikka and dal batti over there. They should add cusines and they must IMPROVE THEIR SERVICE. if they work on these issues, i am sure that they have bright future.

Very expensive with low quantity and poor taste. Always tally your bill before paying it. it should not be yours.

One Sunday we were passing by SG Highway and we have decided to give a try to Goras and it was worthful.<br/><br/>We weren't known to speciality of Goras so we have opt for regular Fu -Jabi and Dal-Bati.<br/><br/>Once food was served with the smell only you can guess the quality of food. Fun-Jabi was real in taste, tandoor was too good. Dal-Bati you can say 4/5.<br/><br/>Ambiance is too good and Staff was supportive. <br/><br/>We have decided to visit regularly then.

All of us friends winded up our uttarayan this year with dinner at Goras.<br/><br/>I haven't been to a typical village/earthy set up restaurant since I was a child and was consequently fascinated and ended up having a great time!<br/>On arrival we were informed that the waiting was 1 hour. This actually turned out to be a waiting of around 20 mins; there is this strange anti-intuitive custom in Ahmedabad restaurants of giving the guests a higher waiting time than what actually turns out in the end. Anywho, while we were waiting, they lit up a fire for us while we sat on jute string charpais with a folk artist singing in the background. I was so warm and cuddly and well entertained that I sincerely didn't want to enter the eating area proper when the time came. <br/><br/>But enter we did and ordered food like no one had fed us for a week. There were 4 dal battis, 2 paneer tikka masala, 2 lasaniya bataka, chaas, soup, masala papads, paneer chilly, rotis. Everything was very nice; the subzis were flavorful, the rotis buttery and dal batti really good (Shiv Shakti is still the best though).<br/><br/>Go for the feel, the fire on cold winter nights; the food's a plus.<br/><br/>(Edit: I had a slight stomach upset the next day, nothing major, but it was there. Still like the place.)

Nice setup n food was above average... not so yummy bt nice, the "menu" was beautifully desgined, like to go again once bt not more then twice or thrice, if I have to pick one item of them, then it will be the "Bajara Dal Rotla" its just wow, try it...
