I tried the coba cabana, strawberry kiwi apple, madagascar chocolate, wild berry cheesecake ice creams (and even took a pint home 😉)
Every flavor was different and milk based. Great flavor! This ice cream will not disappoint you at all!
This place has memories attached. My father used to take me to their small shop in city during my childhood days and when I suggested to visit this newly opened place, my father was really amazed. The newly opened outlet is unique and superb. Cold stone is worth trying. Tried wildberries cheesecake, copa cabana and mango jamun coldstone. I loved all of them but mango jamun was really different and too much tasty. They have lots of other varieties and new flavours to try .
I njoy the cold stone ice creams at this place. They mix real fruit with the ice cream which brings the good taste
Excellent place to satisfy sweet tooth cravings. They have elaborated menu in ice creams. They have unique flavours and hence it is rightly named as ice cream library. It is visible from the main road. There is ample parking space available. They also have indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. They also delivers the ice cream through swiggy and Zomato.

Best quality ice cream. They have many verities of ice cream, I had fresh jambun ice cream here. It was creamy, perfectly sweet and yummy. Ambience is also good. Staff were friendly.

It’s raining ice creams every where and home made ice creams are trending. I am a fan of good ice cream but I don’t eat a lot of ice creams. I am kind of picky about quality, sugar taste and other factors that go into it for me. This place has a ton flavors! I couldn’t decide which flavor I wanted so I sampled a lot until coffee ice cream really gets my tongue. Dark luscious strong flavour.
Price is more here but the quality is really rich. They have cozy family space upstairs like mini tree house build. If you are looking for more flavours in homemade type ice cream, this is the place. Parking can be an issue during weekend here.

Amdavadis love their ice cream. This is a fancy ice cream place with a plethora of flavours to choose from. Always, always brimming with people, the sitting around becomes chaotic and you can't really sit there and chill with a group talking simply because of the loudness. The ice creams are fresh, creamy, innovative even. There has never been a time that this place has disappointed taste wise. I would not pin point a particular flavour because all are equally good.
Love this place.. They have so many different and fascinating ice cream flavours and all of them are amazing! Additionally they keep fresh icecreams too.. the mango ice cream has pieces of fresh Mangos, is simply great for the summer of Ahmedabad. They also have the stone icecreams (cream stone concept).

This is one of my go to places for icecream. It never disappoints. Lot of natural fruit flavours, lots of fusion flavours, lots of innovative flavours, different types of icecreams live churned, cold stone. The best part is that they keep on updating their flavours which is why you like to keep on going again and again and get to try a lot of new flavours also depending upon the season. Bit on the pricier side, but it is surely premium and worth every penny. Also they give a comparitively bigger scoop. Love this icecream place
Nice and cozy place with awesome ice creams!! So many temptations and all subtle flavors.....you won't stop at one! We tried Chiku Badam, Fresh Strawberry, Tender Coconut Pineapple, White Chocolate Cinnamon, and Chocolate Oreo Cookies. Fresh Strawberry was the best!

Nice place to try some different flavours and variety of Ice Cream than usual once.
Pick of the visit was cold stone ice creams with flavour add-ons. Not much options for it though but whatever they have as an options are nice.
My favourite was as usual Bitter Chocolate live ice cream because I believe BITTER IS BETTER.
I would love to see more varieties in flavours in cold stone and live ice cream options.

Love the fact that they have so much variety and new flavours everytime we visit. Even though there are flavours that I've absolutely loved but I end up ordering a new flavour everytime and I've never been dissapointed. Few favourites- Copacabana, Coffee Oreo, Passionfruit-peach.
They have sugar free ice creams which is a big plus.
Sitafal milkshake was quite tasty.
Good ambience, friendly staff.

It's been a longstanding admiration for his ice-creams right since his days at Law-garden Khau Gully. Unique concoctions has always been the USP at Shankar's. Being an ardent coffee adict, I was instantly lured to try the new 'Black Coffee' ice-cream. Can't stop thinking about it. A success story risen from a humble beginning. Truly deserving.
I visit this place often as it is located below my office. Have had their ice creams which are very good.

This place offers truly delicious ice creams. I am in love with the ambience of this place. One of my all time favourite ice cream is “after eight” , that’s a great combination of chocolate and mint. I wish I can grab this ice cream daily 🙈.

Went here last night with friends post dinner. Had a great time. We called for wild berry cheese cake ice cream. It was awesome.
We also ordered tender coconut leechee and grapes and kiwi. Tender coconut was delicious too.
After a long time I got chance to visit this place. Had heard lots of things about this place and I attracted towards it.
So when we reached, place was already full. Somehow we found a place to Settle down 😬. Interior is beautiful, bright and modern. I liked the shape of the long table. They also have a shelf like structure where two group of 5-6 people can sit. There also enough parking space is available outside to park your car.
Coming on the food part, this people have lots of different flavours in the ice-cream that you may have never heard of. We ordered bitter chocolate and chocolate therapy ice-cream. Both were good. I liked the sticky structure of bitter chocolate ice-cream.

For a sweet tooth person like me, Shankar’s icecream library is an absolute bliss. The interiors are cool enough to keep you captivated for hours. These scrummy treats are served in wide variety of flavours.
Dolchellate with almonds , Belgian chocolate, mint chocolate are some of the flavours I gave a shot.
Copa Cabana is my most favourite among the tried ones. This chocolate nutty scoop had sapid punch in it. Just the way I like my chocolate icecreams to be!

It's good to see ice cream business growing in Ahmedabad. Shankar ice cream has always been a brand name in most high end weddings in Ahmedabad. I am a regular at their law garden laari. I simply love that place. Recently, I went to their ice cream library & I was surprised seeing the kind of flavours available there. We had about 5 to 6 different ice creams. My only problem was that we tried a fresh mango sundae & the mangoes used in them had gone stale. I didn't expect this from shankar ice cream!! I didn't complain at the counter because the weather is horrible & I just thought they mus'nt have checked as they were over loaded with clients.
Nice seating for the ice cream, it was not that crowded so service was fast. Tried mud oreo and chocolate love. Liked to mud oreo much compare to chocolate love, the cocolate love was prepared on cold stone and it was much liquid ant not to solid ice cream.
Shankar's Ice Cream has gone modern with this place! I have always been a huge fan of their icecream and with this outlet, they have surely done a superb job.

I’ve been to the original Shankar IceCream Stall too and I’ve gotta day the new place is as good as the original one, the icecream at this place is just amazing! I make sure to always try new flavours here and I’m hardly ever disappointed, my favourite is the mud Oreo, pls do try it! This place is definitely a pleasant change from the usual icecream spots in the city..

Ambience- A small place with good seating arrangements.

Kesar Pista(Sugarfree)- The taste was very good and not so sweet.(4.5/5)

Ambiance was good but sitting arrangements where bit weired... although empty seats ppl have to sit outside.. luckily they have kept some chairs outside too
Coming to Ice creams we had Green Apple and Gauava, blueberry cheese cake and from live ice cream we had Ratnagiri fresh Mango.
The mango ice creame which was almost 150/- for a scoop is must try.. others were good. They also had options for cold stone Ice cream and Shakes.

Shankar'a Ice Cream library is indeed a library of variety of icecreams. The place is located off sindhu bhavan road which makes it a bit secluded for people who haven't heard about it.
The basic flavours of icecreams are bit of okaish and they might not be the best value for money.
The coldstone icecreams are just extraordinary.
If you are visiting this place i would suggest the coldstone options and try the out of the box icecreams which you don't regularly have.
The one in the picture is chocolate love.
I would rate it as 5/5 and it is a must have for chocolate lovers. It just justifies our love for chocolate.
Tried this recently and they really have good fresh ice creams and a variety of them. The ambience seemed a bit dull but the quality of ice cream is the reason I'm giving it 4 stars.

A pretty well designed and a hygienic place. A part from normal ice creams the place also offers stone cold ice creams, live ice creams and thick shakes. The must try out ones are Copa Cabana, Mud chocolate, live sitafal and red velvet. The portion size offered is pretty good for the price charged. Surely a frequent visit place for ice cream lovers. If you haven't been here, you are surely missing something cool to try out in Ahmedabad.

Well! One of the famous names in Ahmedabad when it comes to Icecreams. Though I don't remember if I have had their Icecreams earlier but this one should not be missed. For me they excelled in the taste department. I have tried mint chocolate Icecream from other brands but somehow that particular flavour didnt work for me. But thankfully it worked here and I could feel chocolate and mint both without any dominance whatsoever and it did taste wonderful. I also tried strawberry, dolcelatte almond, morning mantra, fresh Jambu, strawberry kiwi apple, Biscotti, Irish peacan, Guava Green Apple. Do note that the scooping size is almost 1.5 times larger than the normal scoops out there in the market which makes this place extremely value for money when it comes to exclusive Icecream offerings. Also like natural this place has no fuss and no confusion associated. All you need to do is select your flavour and that's it. No cone, no toppings, no double scooping.
Coming back to the taste part, almost every flavour was worthy enough of repeated orderings and can make you visit this place more often. What particularly grabbed my attention was the mismatched modern minimalistic approach to ambiance. It has created its own category in terms of the ambiance. Simple yet stylish. Well 60 years surely makes one learn a lot!. Ratings...

And belgine chocolate was nice . As i visit most of the time at melt in on bodakdev i personaly think this place also serve good ice cream but compare this place to melt in . I dont like at all . Overall averge tast.

When you enter the premise you will be amazed with its beautiful ambience.
They have vast varieties of Belgian Chocolate Ice-cream.
Had “cookies karishma” and Irish Peacan” it was yummy(picture not uploading because of rules and regulation)
Also had “Fresh Sitafal Shake” one of the best in town.
And finally the best amongst according to me is “Fresh Orange” served with the topping of orange pulp.

Had been to this place recently. Ambience and seating were great. I had their cold stone ice cream "chocolate love" as well as one of their normal ice cream "Belgian chocolate". Both were very good.
Being a fan of the original Shankar at Law Garden since years now finally had the chance to visit their new modern outlet!
The place is cozy and minimally designed with a big center table instead of 4-5 small tables which is unique but works wonderfully with the space.
There are definitely more flavors and options and the staff is happy to let you try as many before you decide on one! We tried 6-7 but settled on the Cold Stone Chocolate Ice Cream which was really good. Other flavors that we tried were alright, some decent some just alright. I still like the original one more I guess 😋 old is gold but new is the way to go!

Ofcourse, you'll not be able to resist a bountiful cup of ice cream at shankar's ice cream library as they have a exotic variety of ice cream with fresh, creamy and natural flavors besides the place is coolly decorated with a nice and relaxed vibe. Ice cream lovers should never miss this.

After getting some good reviews from foodie friends I finally searched this place and been here before couple of days.. Live Sitafal - So till now you were getting Fresh Ice Cream.. That concept is now upgraded and now you can get live ice cream.. Live Sitafal was one of them which is very well ice cream served over here.. Sitafal ice cream served with fresh sitafal..
Jamaican Chocolate - Little bit of bitter chocolate.. Can be considered heaven for pure chocolate lovers.. Must try..
Tender Coconut Litchi - This one is bingo and different combination I have seen ever till now.. Though taste was just awesome.. Highly recommended..
Biscotti - One of the highest selling ice cream served over here.. This has some different taste with pieces of biscuits in ice cream.. Can be given a try..
Looking at the menu you will get a feel that ice creams served over here are little costly as compare to normal shops but those are worth because quantity they serve for single scoop is also more as compare to scoop served at other outlets.. So in all, this place can be given a try for sure..

Amazing place with Amazing flavours of icecream
It feels nice to see local family owned business expand and compete with many other international brands.
- Great locality, nice modern look and feel.
- Very hygienic.
- quite a large range of flavors
However the ice creams were not creamy enough to my liking. I just felt that the original essence of original home made ice creams was missing.
Bringing homemade ice creams to a modern restaurant would probably make it a killer combination.
I’m so amazed by the flavours so many different once to choose from
The best one I loved is Cheese Cake and Belgium Chocolate
One must try this place & u would not regret it.
Shankar is here with its exotic icecream flavours now at sindhubhavan road... tried its live sitafal icecream... cold stone chocolate love which has base of belgium chocolate icecream and biscotti( with red velvet cookies, cranberry and blueberry and has a monaco biscuit type feel) and jamaican one with a slightly bitter taste and tender coconut lichi(best of all) which are all a must must try

If you've been to poetry- there are chances you've been to this after lunch/dinner. From a small law garden khau galli ice cream parlour - the evergreen franchise has come up with a lavish outlet on sindhu Bhavan road. Needless to say- the quality has been maintained if not increased. Live ice cream and some new flavours have been added. Coffee Oreo, Belgium chocolate, tiramisu orange, live fresh orange to try for.
Suggestion- They should come up with more varieties in sugarfree ice creams. Kesar pista is the only sugar free ice cream flavour available.
Best ice cream to enjoy any time during the day. A bit pricy but you get value for money. Would like to visit again & again. Must try anjeer akhrot

I suggest to visit this place and try their ice creams. We tried few and quality of the ice creams are very good.

Red Velvet and Cranberry- 5/5
Sweet lime and Mix Berries 3/5 (bit bitter)
Fresh Mangoes 4/5
Overall quantity and quality is very good.

A must visit place for all ice cream lovers out there! Tried their After 8 ice cream and it was mind boggling...its new in their menu.

Delicious Ice cream options... Natural flavours like Alfanso Mango and Jamboo are soooo yummy... I enjoyed it a lot.
The place is quite comfortable and hospitable. The main speciality of this place is their service. They allow you to taste any number of ice creams in advance as they believe in "how will you know which ice cream to choose if you don't know it's taste" policy. The flavors of the ice creams has super exotic and authentic taste. The prices are quite high but it matches the standard of it. There's sitting area in two parts one near the counter and another above 7-8 stairs.
Amazing real ice cream of Shankar. Test such a delicious and like real milk. They have very variy of the ice cream. Must try alphonso mango and strawberry. Price is bit costly but worth to try it once. Seating area is awesome and you can also sit outside. we have also ordered it at home. They are delivering if order are more than 2 KG.

The ambience of this place is very Beautiful. It has lot of new flavours of icecreams. The price is on a higher side. The regular scoop starts from 110rs. There are milkshakes and live(tawa) icecream as well.
After a long time I got chance to visit this place. Had heard lots of things about this place and I attracted towards it.
So when we reached, place was already full. Somehow we found a place to Settle down 😬. Interior is beautiful, bright and modern. I liked the shape of the long table. They also have a shelf like structure where two group of 5-6 people can sit. There also enough parking space is available outside to park your car.
Coming on the food part, this people have lots of different flavours in the ice-cream that you may have never heard of. We ordered bitter chocolate and chocolate therapy ice-cream. Both were good. I liked the sticky structure of bitter chocolate ice-cream.

They got good interior, good staff, clean place and amazing range of natural ice cream with amazing mixture, I loved orange tender coconut , they serve minimum serving of 140 ml which is tooo much for desert

The place is located exactly opposite the restaurant "Kake Di Hatti". The ambience of this place is very attractive and beautiful. Enough space is available to go with your respective families or friends.
You get to taste any ice-cream you want. Currently they are two new ice-creams namely:
1) White Chocolate Cinnamon Apple
2) Faluda Kulfi with rabdi
Both of them tasted like a unique one like the one you never would have tasted before. Along with it we ordered Pistachio, Madagascar Chocolate and chocolate fudge. The taste was delightful.
Delicious ice cream - has all the typical fruit and dry fruit flavors that is emblematic of Ahmedabad.

Had been to this place recently. Ambience and seating were great. I had their cold stone ice cream "chocolate love" as well as one of their normal ice cream "Belgian chocolate". Both were very good.
