Firstly its a cool, happening and authentic place to be at.
Service is top notch.
Food is pretty decent, and needs several correction and course correction.
* Note : Pocket-friendliness = how affordable is the place.

I visited this today, The waiting time was a bit high. The food quality was average, taste was very good but the roti was some what gummy and not good, rotla is better than roti, overall neutral place. Roti's quality should be improved. And yeah spoons were not washed properly.

Very good place for Desi food. It’s a desi dhaba segment. Everything is desi here. Daal bati and North Indian food is very good. Also a famous item is Vagharelo ( Fried) Rotlo. Just awesome.

I had Dalbatti last month of this place. It was very delicious. I am not generally a Dalbatti lover person, but after experiencing this Shivshakti Dalbatti, I became fan of this….but now they changed the place. Can anyone please suggest the new address of this Shivshakti Dalbatti .Please it would be great if any one suggest new address 🙏

Been There few times, great place to have dinner in open environment, price of food is in budget and quality of food is good. staff is very friendly.

The worst food i ever tested in this restaurant we ordered veg jaipuri they don't know what is veg jaipuri and served only cabbage the worst taste poor service if I have no other option to eat i agree to fast but never go in this restaurant
Jigar Pandya
They are losing their popularity by giving very lowest quality to Daal baati (for which they were famous in past) - very disappointing after having defiled onion. And without taste daal of Daal-Baati. I think they are now focusing only on making money.

This place is always very much in demand in winter specially for Rajasthani dal bati. Kathyavadi and punjabi food is also available but people often prefer to have dalbati. A must visit place for winter...

Was visited shivshakti dhaba at adalaj but food was not found good also staff service is not good Not at all hygiene. Not suggested to go there.
Ashish Kachhap
Vagharelo rotlo and rajwadi khichdi was awesomely tasty .. But Dal batti was raw
and not up to the mark. Various kathiawadi and other option were also available

A place for night outs .. when you crave for Dalbati, This is certainly the place to visit. quite economic and taste wise good. Staff very supportive and service is good .. not sure of hygeines ..
Mrunal Parekh
Yesterday we visited this place. Order Punjabi food and Dalfry and jeera rice. All dishes were over loaded with extra masala. Taste was not up to the mark. Plates were not clean enough.
Kinjal Patel
Good place for its daalbati but little bit slow service but fully satisfied it's taste. This place is versatile food names with good taste. Thus place is nice but don't expect more taste.

It's been really long time that.I M here it's been more than a decade came here and had dal bati
Ofcourse the test is change or may be my test has change after so long but....
But still good place to come with friends in late night outing .

Lajja Brahmbhatt
Went there yesterday night. Had sev tamatar and paneer Tawa with chapati along with butter milk and masala papad. Everything was upto the mark. We told them to make it spicy and trust me it was yummm just loved it. I have been here many times and it’s always upto my expectations.!! The only thing they should maintain is wash basin area it’s bit untidy. 😅

Never knew about this place .. two friends dragged me to this place to get some road side Dhaba feel.. and ohh boy !! Never had so much tasty food on a dhaba before. Food and the emotions blended with it is indescribable.. if you are in Ahmedabad its a must try..this place is definitely underrated.

There was less crowd when we arrived on weekday just 2 tables occupied... So we were 9 on count and 8 of us ordered daal bati tadka and I ordered sev tamatar subji and roti accompanied with chach... Starting with the papad, it was crispy and nicely roasted... Chach which is my favourite was upto the mark... Perfect taste... Main course 4/5 the garlic tadka was better than many other known restaurant... It was as per the expectation giving the feel of a dhaba... Roti was smaller in size but buttery... Overall it was an amazing experience... Comfortable sitting... Courteous staff... Just should increase the portion size of the dishes other than dal bati...

While passing through, we have visited this place.
Ambience: 2/5
Service: 1/5
Food:1/5

We have here earlier also and had the similar experience. But this time it was even worst.

Nikul
The ambiance is like dhaba. Even dishes and glass are not clean just like ordinary roadside dhaba.we have order Dal bati, khichadi kadhi, chana mandala, and gutte ki sabji. All dishes are tasteless and bakwas. Will never come here again.
Pushpak Rathod
I visited this dhaba wid my family, as we were passing through.
Food was testless. And they charge too much ,as like ac restaurant with good furniture.
Very disappointed and unsatisfied with quality.
Chetan Parmar
We used to visit it for Dal bati for many years. Last time when I visited last week service was ok...Bit slow...Taste of dalbati is bit changed but still it's better than other dalbati joints. Visit in winter for best judgement.

After a lot of should-I-should-I-not visit thoughts, i finally decided to land here. It was a weekday evening and not a lot of people were there. i had come here just to have dal-bati and ordered the same.
The service was quick enough and there came 4 small bati's with a pitcher full of hot piping dal.
Their red chutney was not that spicy or tangy enough as i had heard.
The taste was decent enough. But i have had better dal bati at other places.
i also thought the place is just over expensive and over hyped up. It works in a way just because of its ambiance is what i feel. its just normal as any other hotel. Nothing that is soo good about it.
Aatish Bhachech
I have to change the review and rating because the last 2 times we went the food was not at all good. Infact me and my friend had a bad stomach after it. We had dal bati and sev tomato subzi. We even had masala papad. It was ok in taste but i guess the quality was not at all good. Will definitely not visit again.

i heard a lot about this place specially about dal baati so decided to give a chance.

It was sunday n with no surprise it was packed. Almost on all tables i could see only dal baati which was obvious.

So i ordered the same with a bit tadka, whem my dish arrived first of all i found baati was very hard to break which i think should be a a bot soft. Dal baati without ghee is not a complete dish so he served ghee but with charge of 15 Rs i said WTF already you aren't charging 120/- a plate above that this not done.

Regarding taste its not that tasty which people has made.

According to its just hype which has made this place famous so according to me 1.5 stars n i suggest other foodies to skip this place not to waste their money.

Rajesh Mandaviya
I'm not sure if others ever felt it too but for me, this is another overrated place. we tried what it is famous for, Dal-Batti. Though good in taste, it was nothing extraordinary; I have tasted better dal-batti at other places. Buttermilk was very sour. Also tried Aloo Paratha which was pathetic...
Amit
Great place for Daal Baati, and that's not a secret anymore. A must try if you plan to visit this place. Baigan Bharta is another dish if you like authentic charcoal cooked dishes. Aroma is great and so is the taste. Services is good and pretty quick.

If you looking for best Dhaba on SG Highway then this is the one near Khoraj Bridge opp petrol pump. You get Dhaba feeling and customers keep coming in no matter if its festive season or not. Recommended for Dal Bati lovers. Food will be spicy mostly with oily thing so not for ooops and ouch people. This is for those who say Maska mar ke.
Rates are reasonable as its for food and not for ambiance. You mostly get to eat on Khatia the dhaba style. Best for college group who can save their money. Good for those who passing by and not want to spend much but want to eat. Don't expect much cleanliness but timing of service won't be issue.
Mohit
The place is known for its famous dal bati and yes it does live up to the expectation. A la Carte menu is typical Dhaba types and tastes average.
Darsh Shah
Speciality for dal bati is good but its bad thing is that taste of food and in evry food oil is to much ao i dont suggest you to go there specially.
Sudhank Saxena
Tried dal bati churma there and it was tasty. Its totally highway side dhaba. They offered Punjabi, rajasthani, kathiyawadi variety also. But I got recommendation of dal bati churma.
Mr.Chintan Shah
Shiv Shakti dalbati is a very famous name in dalbati in open garden restaurant seating on khatla, timeless place to talk and enjoying food. Best for dalbati, Kathiyawadi food.
Vishal Mistry
I love these place. Open under sky. Seating on seti. Amazong feel. And what to say about the DalBati. Awesome. Must visit for every Amdavadi. Odo and rotlo also very delicious. Good kathiyawadi food.

Family dinner on uttrayan.. Too much crowded place.. Tables were not as clean as any good restaurant after all we are on dhaba, But service was fast and Jain food was good..dis place is only 4 Rajasthani or Punjabi food..n quite pocket friendly..
Tejas Sheth
Very good service and food also.
Dal-bati and rotalo was very testy.
Hotel se bhi acchha khana aur service hai to kahi aur nai ja sakta.
Bhukh mitaneka wada..
Shiv shakti dhaba.

If you are on a mood to drive long n want to have pure kathiyawadi food than this is the place for you. It's a well known dhaba situated on S.G.Road about 18-20 km away from Ahmadabad.

Weather was decent (not so cold not so hot) and this is the right time to get in to this place. We want to sit on khatla rather than tables n chairs to get perfect dhaba style feeling.

As soon as waiter come to us, without checking the menu we placed n order for dal bati, butter milk n some Papads. At first we ordered fried Papads but they were too oily so we changed it to roasted. Dal bati was perfect and a must try!!!. We used to come here almost three times a week at our college time. Butter milk was poor as it was way too sour in taste.

Than we ordered kathiyawadi food. It was rotla, lasaniya bataka nu saak n bhindi Masala. Very impressed with their kathiyawadi food. We don't like it too Spicy so we told them to go easy with chillies. Both the subji's were great especially the lasaniya bataka one. Perfect amount of Garlic n potatoes. It's excellent indeed. I'm not a big fan of bajari ka rotla but my brother n his wife enjoyed it a lot.
Service was reasonably good. Prices are pocket friendly. What else you want?
Food 4/5
Service 4/5
Quality 4/5 (should get 3 but compared to other dhaba I gave 4)
Quantity 4/5
Value for money 5/5

Overall 4/5.
Dwiti Patel Ishita Patel

Dhaba famous for its Dal Bati and Kathiyawadi food.
I have visited this place plenty.
Specially in navratri it is fun going shiv shakti with friends
Sev Tamata is thier best
worth visit...
Vishesh Agarwal
As a person who loves the real taste of punjabi food, I was disappointed with the flavours, the Dala Bati served with a generous helping of ghee in my opinon stole the show, the food could have been a bit more spicy, just for authenticating the flavours of North India and Rajasthan.

The quantity served was good.

Money's worth experince.

I found the concept kind of a rip off from Mirch Masala, the same dhaba feel, brass plates.

Overall nothing new, nothing impressive.

However, I would say a perfect date spot, the location is such that it promises a nice long drive on the highway even from Judges Bunglow Road.

Milind Shah
Typical Dhaba famous for its Dal Bati and Kathiyawadi food. Considering it as a typical Dhaba don't expect much on the ambience or hygeine front. The only criteria of measurement here is taste of food. Must have at dis place is the famous Dal Bati. We also tried out the Sev Tamatar, Raseela Alu and Missi Roti's. All the food was awsome. Though the official timing mentioned here is 11 pm but the place remains open till late night and is a major attraction mainly for Mid night munching.

I have visited this place plenty of time.
Whenever we don't find any good restaurant and budget constraint is there we are visiting this place.
We like its Masala Papad very much.
Dalbati as usual amazing at this place. Punjabi is also good but prefer to eat dalbati and kathiyavadi only.
Must visit this place if you have never visited!!!
Gokul Shah
Very bad experience, not much clean, onion given was approx chopped 3 hour early, we have ordered dalbati but i think they dont know how to make, there was no taste. My best joint to eat dalbati with friends in Ahmedabad.. Love the ambience.. Authenticity for food is better than those fake kathiyawadi restaurant.. All in all worth visiting place with friends..

Proper Desi Dal Bati Best place to visit again and again
Paresh
We went there first around 15 years back. And Kathiawadi food was awsome, We all were impressed with it. We went there again recently and food quality is not maintained at all. We ordered Bhindi and taste was not good at all. Lasania Aloo was ok. Sev-tamata was ok. Masala Khichari was good though.

Tried Dal-bati as well. I have had original dal-bati in Rajasthan and I can say it was not even near in taste.
Mnl
One of d best open air traditional sitting wid a whole new premium-dhaba feel ;)
Famous for a complete Rajasthani cuisine"Dal bati" very well served bati wid hot dal, onion, salad, garlic paste for xtra flavour and ghee. You can have Punjabi n Chinese menu too here I haven't tested as dis place we can say just synonymous of dalbati. Dis al costs very reasonable to our pockets.
Camp fire ???? in winters is d added advantage we can have ;) So guys plan a long drive dis way to help watery taste buds.
Raj Iyer
One of the best dalbati's you get in Ahmedabad. This place has improved drastically from its earlier venue, but the taste still remains the same. Dalbaati, churma, bajre ki roti and alu ki sabzi are the must have dishes here. I simply love visiting this place again and again.
Harshdeep Gujjar
Decent food...didnt try too much cuisines.. But out of what we tried...Kulchas were the highlight... worth going there to eat this particular item.. The ambience is authentic... Its economical...a perfect spot for hangouts
Abhi Thakkar
Not at all hygienic. But for a change its good. Better than any other daal baati providers.
Deep Patel

I am amazed at the transformation of this place.
I had come at this during last rains and I wished I had never come here.
But today when I came here I am surprised, astonished and lucky to be here.
The ambience, atmosphere has totally changed. This is not a road side dhaba any more.
It's a Uber class restaurant which is on Highway, far from city limits which is sure going to satisfy you.
The lights and tables are brand new and you'll be very happy to here.
We ordered the usual dal baati and khatiyawadi and as usual the food was great.
This is one place which will get very good mouth of word from me for sure.
Deep Talati
An amazing food at the end of the city.. Specially dal bati and rotla in winter..

On a chilling cold winter evening, a long drive along the S. G. Highway all the way upto Adalaj would certainly make you numb but if the drive leads to Shiv Shakti, having dalbati here will unnerve you to senses. Shiv Shakti happens to be my favourite among dhabas in Ahmedabad and they serve the most amazing dalbati I know of.

This Rajasthani delicacy served as mashed bati with steaming hot dal along with ghee, jaggery, lasun ni chatni (garlic paste), green salad and onion at Shiv Shakti is incredible. A person would come and mash the bati for you and pour desi ghee making it irresistible to pounce on. Dalbati as a recipe makes the most wholesome dinner and adds a spark to the evening. The outdoor seating is on traditional khatlas which enhances the feel of eating this traditional variety. The place does serve regular Punjabi items and some Chinese too but i have never even tried to explore more.

Shiv Shakti is synonymous to dalbati for me. Very reasonable priced, its best to have dalbati here in winter.

Get set to savour dalbati at Shiv Shakti; winter is coming!
