Good food n service both
Harsh Modi
Good place but moderate expensive. Good place to hangout with friends as well as family. Tried and succeeded in giving it the village atmosphere and kuddos to the people who made it. Have two options for having dinner, inside & outside. Outside is more authentic village type.
Nachiket Shelat

The place is ok ... ambience is not so bad ..
But the taste of food is not upto the mark ..
The staff is bit slow and rude ...
I just liked the jeera aloo sabji during my visit ..
Hemang Bhimani
Not recommended. Waste of money and time. Food is not upto the mark. No real test of Punjabi food. Even they are not accepting cards. You have to pay in case.
Maulik Pandya
Not recommended at all

I am at this place now and it's seems very unhygienic. They gave us already used online plate by someone else. It happens twice. The plates and glasses are made up of low quality plastics. Services are worst ever. You have to request multiple times. I am wondering I am eating here for free.

Not recommended and unhygienic.

Rohan Vinod
Sabse bhangar food please don't waste your money or time here
Food was not testy, service was very discusting, Gujarati ma kau to "me kale 3500 RS diwali ni emne gift api didhi fokat ni, evu feel thayu... test ma kai maja nai, staff time to time served kare nai...su yar sav avu 3rd class PATIYALA PANGAT?"
Mr. Foodie ?
I can say OK OK or average... Nothing special there... Even food is bit costly compare to location and atmosphere... Taste is not so great like NAME... One can visit if no option left...
Nishchhal Goyal
Nice restaurant. Open as well as closed restaurant. Good food, as well as staff. The washrooms must be cleaned. Home delivery was quite nice. Been there 4 times till now.
Hrishi S. Tambraparni
I was here for dinner and was sitting in the restaurant which wasn't the outdoor one. Inside, it's a blank dining hall. It only has some tables and chairs arranged in order to have food. There isn't anything close to "good ambience". The restaurant gets very very loud because of absolutely nothing to absorb the noise (no music also). Food is average (nothing "Authentic Punjabi" about it). Only thing good about this place is a friendly staff with prompt service (I was there on a Sunday evening and still felt that it was decently fast).

I went there for get together,it was in the garden of d restaurant... A nice ambience of garden...but food was not that much good....paneer subji was very spicy.....service is very slow....Nd ambience is also very poor....
Jabal Shah
I visited here without reading reviews and mostly had a passable experience. A restaurant that calls itself North Indian and doesn't serve non veg is essentially misleading guests. Air conditioning is insufficient, staff inexperienced, food variety, quality, quantity nothing worth noting. Skip it
Zoya Shaikh
Very poor ambience in scorching heat ac not working. The service is very poor. We wanted spring rolls for which we had come from another venue to this and the manager said they r unavailable and after that a family came in ordered the same n they did serve. Really bad gesture towards us. Nd we are a kinda regular customers for them. But now on we shall try n find other venue n avoid this place. Bogus

Only one word for it awesome good food n service
Kaushal Mehta
Been here with friends.. Ambience is designed little differently.. Half land is divided for indoor seating and half for outdoor.. One can have feeling of village in outdoor seating as they have set up some beds for having food... Service and food was average...

Visited this place yesterday on friends birthday party. Its located at a very prominent place and very spacious, ample parking and large play area for kids.
Open area is impressive with charpai's all around, its very simple but decent. Nothing great about the dining hall, very ordinary interiors.

Service is not too good. we were the only guests ( group of around 15), still service was not prompt.
Lets come on the food. We ordered, 3 different starters, Paneer kabab, Nachos, Cripy veg.
Baked macaroni, then Dal dhabewali and sizzling paneer in the main course

Nachos were stale, therefore the order was cancelled. Crispy veg was ok and Paneer kebab was pathetic. It was very hard and tasteless
Macaroni was good. Dal dhabewali is absolutely a disappointment. Paneer is also nothing great
Food was over all a bit salty.

quality does not match the price. Would recommend avoid.
Vishal Patel
we visiting on 14-Feb, we have experience the worst at this place. If we order Nan it comes after 30 minutes. And even we got the water after asking them. Even no one was there to even give the bill to us we stood outside to pay as there were rush and they came after 20 mins of waiting and we paid.
The quantity is not as per the price. BAD experience to visit
Dhaval Kataria
Wonderful food,
Great ambience.
Perfect service.

Had a great lunch.
The open air restaurant part needs to be tried soon for a change of ambience cz the food is just amazing

It's raining punjabi restaurants in Ahmedabad. Patiala Pangat is a restaurant with both - open & enclosed spaces for dining. It is situated on Shilaj road - little away from the hustle - bustle of the city.

The Right Stuff -

The decor is ordinary and nothing impressive about it. The elements of design are somehow missing. The menu is quite extensive and they serve everything expected from the regular multi-cuisine restaurant. We started our food journey with Stuffed Pudina Tikka. It was a pudina masala stuffed between two slabs of paneer. The quality of the panner was very good and the dish was quite fulfilling. Then we ordered mexican sizzler and Baked macaroni with pineapple. The sizzler was so-so and the macaroni was good. We also had Laksa soup in the beginning and it was not so impressive but the taste was good for Indian palette.

The not-so-Right stuff

On the day of our visit, the outdoor sitting area was closed for service and that was a disappointment. The service staff was little bit confused all the time. The atmosphere of the Indoor area was a little depressing.

I will not rate this as a very good restaurant as these all stuff are available in numerous places but if you want to go, Give it a Try.....
Kshitij Parmar
A punjabi restaurant by name, and only by name, That's it. this restaurant has outdoor sitting and indoor sitting. During IPL they show live matches using projector in the outdoor area.

This restaurant recommended by some of my friends and visited there but turned out to be a visit to forget.

Nothing was proper or right starting from ambiance, food, taste, service; nothing was even average. We had ordered many things and from those many things one was Biryani, that Biryani was one of the worst I have ever seen or eaten. While eating that Biryani we were feeling nauseous feeling and then we called manager to change it. Manager humbly took it inside the kitchen and just put it in microwave and turned it hot and bring it the same Biryani to us. Finally, we left the Biryani as it is.

So my take is ignore and do not visit this place.
Bhawana Dugar
Beautiful ambience and delicious food starting from soups lemon coriander to man chow and veg spring rolls... To chef specials sabji Nd dal... It has great service and decent rates. So its worth giving a shot....@
Heta Pandya
It provides average punjabi food. Its good to have food in their open arrangment, khatiya and all. There restaurant gets irritatingly noisy when full. Its good to visit with friends on the days of cricket match as they have big screen in the exterior arrangment. No major plus on food, just average.
Dilip Jadeja
Whenever you want to shout out loud.... Nd also want to feel that its not a desi dhaba(it is bdw) nd you want to eat regular punjabi which can be available in worthless price .... You should have visit this place for your hunger's sake....
Kushal Shah
Patiala Pangat a really big name.. But it's only big by name.. We went there on occasion of Friendship day n what a pathetic experience we had.. Service was very poor.. Let's concentrate on food.. Baked macroni they served without baking it properly . Subji we ordered patiala Pangat paneer special but tasteless n spicy.. Onions minimum we have asked for 5 times. Pickle they haven't provided until dinner was over. N last height was we asked for napkins n they told sir in monsoon our napkins are in laundry. Last we called manager n he said my 2-3 staff members are on leave. Please don't think even to go there.
Jit Patel
Nothing special, just a regular punjabi restaurant. You can definitely ignore. The outdoor seating is nice, they had a projector with sports match goin on. Food was average.
Urvil Sarvasva
Sad experiences get sadder when you are celebrating an occasion with your family and while chewing the food you get a stone in your mouth. But that's ok it can happen once... Well in few seconds another relative gets stone in his food. Replacement of food is done at this point but a lot of people have lost the feel and rather than talking about catching up... You are sitting there silently thinking why the damn did I come here. Apart this they were pretty slow in their service.

Belonging to the food industry in past, I feel bad to under rate any restaurant. However, I know that this mistake is not of the cook or the waiters. Management needs to bring good quality materials for preparation of their food. Plus they also need to recruit/train their staff to give better experience.

Now stupid people make mistakes and learn from it... Wise people learn from others mistakes.
Choose your path :)
Dhwani Shah
we visited there yesterday , place is definitely good, food is also at the mark but we were unhappy with the staff and the service over there. small staff and not able to serve all the table, each have to wait for maximum 30minutes for the order.over all nice place.
Raja Patel
Deserves 0/10. Below average food. Ridiculous and ill-mannered staff and services. Moreover ridiculous rates compared to the food they serve.
Dharmesh Mistry
Nice ambience and starter of stuffed mint paneer has a great taste and i loved its nawabi biryani. Better place for hangout.. Friendly staff.
Ronak
While I cannot give less than one so I am giving one. To he honest the food was good but the goodness of food is taken away by bad service and wrong attitude of management. Seriously who serves sabzi first and than serve roti after 15 mins and 2 reminders. Believe me if you are going there than you would be taking risk of ruining your lunch/dinner time. Think before you go
Soham Parikh
Had a very bad experience. Gravies very too blend and not at all good. In bill there was an issue too.. Instead of 80 rs for cheese naan they wrote 220₹. Again when the paid them we got 30₹ back instead of 32₹. You are not supposed to run a business like that. People, u can totally avoid this place
Plus there were 2 insects crawling on the table and also some dust particles in the sauf.
Bhatt Hiten
I visited this place last saturday.....food was very good....they did not allowd to sit on khats due to shortage of staff....inside ac restaurant atmosphere was avarage......price and food are fine...
Gaurang Brahmbhatt
Yesterday on 22/02/15 i had been just visited at that time the food was so worst, no anykind of new variety in north indian food, the subji which they are saling its available on any kind of road side restaurent. And what say about regarding location its just provinding bunch of khatla on which we have to sit and eat the food there service were so bad we all have to wait for rati i think 20 min. Just plus point was that they had bigger screen. I think food legecy on iskon is much much more providing good dinner facily.
Arushi Jain Dhandharia
Had visited yesterday to this place.. Well it has good seating arrangements.
The best dish was paneer pudina tikka and stuff kulcha .. Well not suggested for special occasions
Hitesh Vaghani
Had visited it yesterday. Kind of a classy place. Ambiance is superb with very huge screen. I think staff is very generous and good. Food quality was good and nothing to complaint about it. I like the seating on khatla. Kind of peaceful place away from the city crowd. You'll definitely have good time there. Thanks for giving us the good experience.

Patiala Pangat serves authentic punjabi cuisine. Its Veg Jaipuri and Dal Tadka are delicious. It provides fast service.Patiala Pangat's price is affordable

Good place to be...
Unique taste of Punjabi food..
Their specific items r so good..
Ask them for it
Delicious.........
Can go atleast once!!!
Sanket Agarwal
Well. My second visit to the place. A good visit for the winters. The Masala Papad and starters were a bit off this time. Main course was good. I disliked the Cheese naan as the Cheese was missing as per expectations. Rest I still prefer this place. Just an off day from them.
Varun Sanghvi
We arranged surprise party there for our mom & Dad 25th anniversary . Food was just awesome arrangement was far better then our expectation . They have arranged 5 round tables free of cost and food was hot and tasty. Staff were very supportive . Every guest appreciated and mom &dad were so happy. Value for money more than 100% it becomes my favourite. If you are looking for the party place then it's highly recommended .
Foodie Woodie
Very poor service. Unbearable service on sunday too.. Food is also okay.. Not too good..
Ambience is good. Loved to sit on khatla..
This is all I can say
Darshan Shah
Worst Restaurant. I have ever experienced rude staff. Poor Service..Just had soup & starter & went off the restaurant. Will not suggest any one to go.
Aditya Trivedi
Everything was below average.. including food quality, service, ambience and value for money. There are many other restaurants serving better indian food and providing better ambience
Saumil Purani
Food quality is good. But service is very poor. Ambient needs more brightness. Tired for the first time and experience was OK. Veg crispy was nice. Whole wheat roti is not provided.

Just 2 days back i went to Patiala Pangat again . I was quite impressed with lighting around khaat....this wasn't my first visit as i have been to this place more than 5-7 times i think..... but most of the time i have had indian food, they are damn good at Indian food..this time i ordered crispy veg and special pasta along with my all time favourite Paneer Tikka dry . all dishes taste were fabulous. As we are regular customers there they served us "Sizzling subzi " complimentary which they are launching soon. believe me guys i never tasted this kinda subzi anywhere it was just awesome. It seems these guys made some changes in management . Food was tastier , service was better and ambiance got changes as well.

All thumbs up

Cons first - It is rated amongst best Punjabi restaurant in town. With such hype you alteast expect that they will be accepting credit/debit cards, but they dont. Keep cash with you while going there.
Pro - Authentic food, mesmerizing taste, great ambiance (they have indoor and Outdoor sitting both), Big projector in waiting area, Garden area where you can sit as long as you wish. The name itself suggest that they only serve Punjabi but they have mexican, Italian, continental too and that also with great option. Do try there Pasta arabiatta, Spinach Three Paper Soup, Paneer Pasanda, Lababdar. My favourite Punjabi joint in town following Curries.
Rajvi Patel
Today i went there at 7pm with family and it was full... They told us 30-45 min waiting time and we waited about 25 mins (Because of big screen projector we couldn't feel)

Ambiance was very good, Service was faster then we expected and food was super . Overall me and my family had really good time.

We will be permanent customer for sure .
Malhar Patel
Gud tasty food..
Delayed service, though there was not much rush..
Sports channel on large display via projector in waiting area is a nice concept which I personally liked..
Kashyap Bankim Shah
We were just roaming on bikes in the outskirts of Ahmedabad and we landed up here for dinner. The place justifies its name completely. Ambience is truly Punjabi and they.provide desi khaat for outside seating arrangement. In winter nights, this is the perfect place to have Punjabi dinner- because they also have desi heating arrangements near to your khaat- which exemplifies the atmosphere. Food is pretty decent. I have never tasted such a delicious paneer in Ahmedabad.must try their special paneer sabzi. They don't have unlimited menu, so your bill might goes up. Other than that- if you're on a long drive on SG Highway with your friends / girlfriend / wife- must try this place.
N.J.
Just visited this place . Looks good but have to taste food . As such prices are concern 2 persons can eat in 1000 rs. Package deal as well
Ala carte is available .
Rinkesh Shah
worst food..worst service..ambiance is good
Naimesh Patel
We tried paneer reshami. Taste was awesome, with smoky charcoal effect as if was cooked on a sagri. Lachcha paratha was not upto the mark. Ambience was perfect. Servoce was slow.

It tags itself as an “authentic Punjabi dhaba” and the name suggests the same, but actually they have more than just Punjabi food: the Asia Green Soup, Vietnamese Spring Rolls and Thai Green Curry could be found on their menu. This restaurant offers both outdoor seating (popular with the younger patrons evening outings) and an AC indoor area that is generally frequented by families. The dhaba-feel is quite pronounced outside where charpoys give the look of the many truckers who stop on Indian highways. I happened to visit this place last year in November for my birthday and there were only 2 of us. It's a nice place to visit, away from hustle bustle of city. Winter had just settled in then and their friendly and welcoming staff made us feel special. We chose to sit outside and they kept an angeethi nearby to keep us warm.

For those who come for their speciality, Punjabi cuisine, the house specials include Pudina Paneer Tikka, Patiala Pangat Paneer, Subz Khazana, Veg Jwalamukhi and Dal Dhabewali. Don’t miss their Lachhcha Parantha.

Service and presentation is good but food was okay and a bit spicy. But you can visit the place on some cold winter night for the feel..
Lakshya Garg
Okay ambience.. N always keep it as a option
Sharad Thakur
Good ambience but in summer as in rainy seadon on dine-in is open. Food has got qualify but servicing is slow..
Vish Sharma
Ok food...service was not upto the mark....sabz khazana is worth trying
Shashvat Parekh
If you are lookin for a place whr u can sit n talk to someone at NOON time, this place is perfect for you. However in evening and at night it runs with lot of crowd sometimes.
I tried the punjabi cuisine and yes the service os good, the food was even good, however please ask them to make it spicy or you won't feel like you are eating punjabi.
The ambiance is good, fairly priced. The landscape os decorated in a very good way.
Parth Garala
Good Punjabi

As unique as its name. Everything you order and receive in turn is excellent. Be it Punjabi or any other dish. The best part of this outlet is you can visit for any occasion be it couple outing, gang of guys or girls, small party or a big party. Recently been there for quite a few times but the best part is the consistency of taste and service. One would definitely end up with highest satisfaction......guaranteed.

For authentic Punjabi lovers :-)

It has been a while since my dad suggested we try out this restaurant, but I always turned down the offer because I like the safety and comfort of Havmor and Bhagwati when it comes to North Indian food, and I know they are seldom wrong.

But today, I decided to give in to my dad's demands and we went to Patiala Pangat for dinner and was pleasantly surprised.

We ordered Paneer 65 (wonder why it is called 65, though) and crispy vegetables - both had a lovely flavour of ginger.

Main course, we ordered Patiala Pangat special paneer (yes, too much paneer, I know) and vegetable jwalamukhi (I know, right? sounds like a 80s period film starring Amrita Singh or something) and I also ordered cheese garlic stuffed naan (along with butter rotis for parents) That was all good too, though I am not sure I'd recommend the stuffed naan - I couldn't finish it, and I think I'd have liked a butter roti or butter naan better)

For 3 of us, it was a lot of food - maybe a starter less next time, or maybe it would've been a four person meal.

While food is decent, definitely repeat value, I think the service needs some help. We were on a weekday, and despite that the waiters were all over the place - the waiter didn't even know which subzi he was serving us. Also, little noisy inside.

Overall - I think value for money if you go in large groups. Pretty decent food for the price.

Went out for birthday dinner. Ambience ia quite appealing but food quality is not so good. And top of that service is worst at all....... not good idea for visit
Manish Jain
We went to patiyala pangat for a project party and really had brilliant time there. food was absolutely brilliant and so was the ambience. Service was a bit slow, but rest everything was great.

One of the Awesome place in Ahmedabd, I think everyone must visit at once. I just love food and ambiance. It is also a best place for family dinner as well. I have just one word for Food, services and place …Excellent!!!
Anushkazz_aboutfood
Patiala Pangat was zeroed on after the various recommending reviews and mouth watering pictures they post on FB.
Its in the interiors of thaltej gaam. Big placs very spacious, has an insude AC seating and a seating outside. It was raining so we were seated inside, the staff was cordial and we were immediately served water and the chhash and masala papad arrived instantaneously.
We ordered for a paneer sabzi and daal with rotis. we also called for a panner starter which was very nice. Overall the food was good but it was not that appealing. I was a tad disappointed coz I went there with an impression tht after jassi de paranthe this was the next big thing in punjabi veg food.
Its good food with great ambaiance but there is no novelty factor either to the place or to the food. Its just another place serving good tasting indian food.

Food:3/5
Service:4/5
Ambiance:2.5/5
Vfm:3/5
Dhruvmalik
Average Food.
Average Ambiance.
Average Service.
Not Average Price - Should Be A Bit Lower For The Quality.
Hiren Shah
Food of punjabi is tasty I like ambience & quality of service food fantastic atmosphere
Sunil Modi
I don't like food and ambience both. Food was so ordinary. Service was also poor. But the rate is too much high in comparison of food and service. I don't think no one repeat this rated for this type of food
Ashish Ranawat
Ambience is good... But week on hospitality .... Dint have Tissues on table, u might have to ask for serving many times... But food quality and taste is good... They have both A/C rooms as well as village feeling with having khaats (beds)... Over all out of 5 on 3 stars....
Satyam Parikh
Another restaurant with outside sitting with old fashioned 'khatlas', which is a unique experience at times. The outside place is quite clean but inside sittings are not at all good. So its better to sit outside only. Otherwise the ambience is normal. Not something extra ordinary.
The menu is normal punjabi stuff and the food taste is good. A normal good place where you can go around with family and enjoy!
Saransh Seth
Good authentic food.. nice ambience! Good service! Overall a place u must visit!

One of the best food in town served here at Patiala Pangat, away from city noises, its great place to have lunch or dinner with family, friends or colleagues.
Charpai dinner is great way to have delicious food.

Special recommendation : Chef's special white gravy pasta (even for non-pasta lovers like me ;) )
Only1rohan94
gud fud but horrible service

Experience at this restaurant just happened by chance, we were out and thought of having lunch some where..as one of my colleague did mention about this place..
When we entered they were yet to open but we were made comfortable with clear guide on time quite professional manner..of course restaurant was empty..
Well kept place, decent food (Only veg) served hot and in courteous way
Quick and efficient team..nice place to be for sure evening will be better with outdoor charpai seating and kids area..
