Review Upper Crust - Ahmedabad

Very good place , good quality, well behaved guys, it is becoming expensive but better than many places by far . I love everything they make , good quality food and confectionery, pastries, cakes ,sandwiches ,puffs ,can't find a flaw in anything they make . I've been going there since 2005.

My favorite bakery shop.. With various range of delicious items.

Do not be fooled by the small shop, it packs the perfect combination of great taste, authentic cuisine and fantastic ambience. Visit for having a nice time with friends and family. What they lose in a large sitting area, they compensate for it in the delicious dishes. I've been there multiple times and have never been disappointed. The bakery is also too good.

I have ordered cake a couple of times, recently i ordered pineapple cakes which was good and pricing was also ok.Satff behaviour was good.

Their Veg Puff test very good but to costly With same test i buy it cheaply from elsewhere

The staff at this branch is quite respectful and helpful. They will be a good option if you want to grab something or actually sit and dine

Nice and quiet restaurant, excellent location, great food, amazing dessert, their upper crust special is finger licking good. Great non veg and vegetarian options and they have excellent breakfast options as well.

One of my favorite place to eat. When i run out of options I know where to go. Their chicken potpourri and chef recommend sizzler is the best. I have been having it since ages and they still taste the same.

Good family restaurant!! Had a great time as it produced a positive vibe. Will love to visit once again with my loved ones. The food here is a little salty but I know they will improve.

The food is OK (not bad). But Definitely it is Overpriced. Look at the onions given with dish, after paying that much price ! Food is Not even reproducible, Taste changes with every order. Generous 3 star as no other quality restaurant (non-vej) in bopal.

It's one of my fav restaurant's. I love their desserts and caramel custard is my all time favourite. They have been consistent in serving delicious food.<br/>

So to satisfy my sudden sweet craving I dropped by here and tried their chocolate pastry along with a jaggery chocolate cookie. I must say I lived the cookie !!! The cookie tasted so good and I get the health benefits as well but the pastry was not what I expected. The pastry was a lot hard and difficult to break with the spoon provide I had to get two spoons to get into the pastry as the earlier provided spoons kept breaking. So definitely recommend the cookie but not the pastry.

Such a beautifully prepared dishes that you feel you are sitting in a royal place, truly satisfying meals. Prices are a bit high but they never fail to satisfy your needs ❤️😍

To have a Cafe Upper Crust in South Bopal was again a delight.<br/>The Cafe is a little small and can merely accommodate 4 tables.<br/>They have come up with a new menu with some additions too.<br/>We ordered their signature Frankie and a new dish which was Fried Potatoes with Loads of Garlic which were really good however the sizzler that we ordered was not upto the mark, I felt some lacking in the presentation, they need to work on that.<br/>

The sizzler are really good and it’s a great place to visit with your family. The sizzler mama mia was really good but they have to improve their Mac and cheese overall the food was really good

It was Sunday and rush rush situation but overall, it took marginal time in delivering the food, much more than committed and therefore, the food items got spoilt.<br/>Chicken Lollypop : Received soggy. -5/5<br/>Chicken pot pourri: Received cold and soggy. 1/5<br/>Chicken biryani : steaming and very well made 3.5/5<br/>So first experience with this outlet turned out to be ‘not so nice’. Regular visiting place. They have amazing food as compared to Vastrapur outlet. Managers and staff is very courteous and welcoming here. They always feel happy to serve you. The sizzlers are awesome. Thier chocolate eclair is my all time favourite.

Extremely poor quality Alfredo pasta.......please don't even think to order......chicken biryani below average. Terrible experience. High cost..but bitter taste....it's pathetic.

Bad experience.We ordered same subji in 2 orders but they dispatched different in both. And chapatis were not cooked well.

We ordered two same sabji and but we got two different gravey, I don't know. One sabji was not good at taste. Plus roti was not good. Food was okay.

This is the place you should not go just because of their service!! Their people/staff do not know how to respond customers!! I had order only 2 items that too a cold drink and masala papad, but they a$@&$&&@ keep me waited for 40 mins!! The quality was very poor !!! Wasted my thousand rupees for the wrost place instead I woud go to a food truck anywhere to at least save my money!!!

I have always been a fan of Upper Crust. The visit is always pleasant and the visit to the Bopal outlet was nothing different. The outlet is small and cozy.<br/><br/>However this time I visited for the bakery products. I opted for their pizza crusts, sandwich bread, Shrewsbury biscuits and Chocolate Chips Brownie. Everything was fresh and well made. Rates are priced nicely. The staff is also trained properly and are helpful.<br/><br/>Will be trying out the food next time.

It’s not cheap and quantity was less but when it comes to taste, it was super awesome !! Specially Sandwitches !!

This place never disappoints, ever ! The most consistent quality in Ahmedabad since the last 25 years. From sizzlers to baked preparations to Indian to desserts. Everything is satiating from start to finish, the Chicken preparations are tender, well cooked and delicious. Also the one place in the city where you can have mutton without thinking twice. They have the Today's special which is another highlight to the existing menu, it's an absolute go to place for non-vegetarian eaters, and if you have a sweet tooth even then they have a good variety to choose from.<br/>We ordered the smoked chicken, barbecue chicken, chicken legs, the baked tangy chicken, mutton Keema and kulcha (they ran out of fresh kulcha, replaced it with butter naan), chicken sizzlers, which came with fried rice, noodles, sauteed vegetables and garlic bread. Everything has it's own taste and nothing tasted similar. <br/>Service and ambience is good.

Never on time delivery

We ordered<br/>1. Pasta in 2 sauces- it was a little spicy for my palette. There were no veggies in the pasta which was a bit disappointing. The garlic bread was good.<br/>2. Paneer Chilly- It was okay not that great.<br/>3. Paneer Wrap- Good and Tasty<br/>4. Cold Coffee- It was excellent. Neither too sweet nor too bitter. <br/>The service was good and quick

A very small place to visit with your groups. The food does not match the standards of the navrangpura outlet. Also the taste was not up to the mark with limited menu.

The food is not that gud. Had great expectations but was disappointed. Hope the food quality improves so that can order in future. Home delivery n rest things were gud but need to raise the standard of food quality.

Food is no doubt great, but it differs greatly from the photos shown in menu card. We have had this experience twice. We ordered the dish Inception. In the menu card it is shown as a lovely dish with lots of Broccoli however, they always serve it with Cauliflower!!! I am sure we all know the difference in price of Broccoli and cauliflower. The restaurant manager says Upper crust has stopped stocking brocoli, so all broccoli dishes now use cauliflower. Isn't this cheating and setting wrong expectation!!

Its been my parents wedding anniversary & we got a Chocolate Cake for that which was heavenly dude. I mean the cake was so well and soft that it just melted in our mouth. It was very soft and spongy. Even my parents liked it too much, apart from the fact that they don't like Chocolate much. Well, it was marvellous as per the quality and taste💙

The place is nice and cozy .... service was very good... quick enough and the staff was humble and polite .... we ordered a chicken frankie and it was YUM .... every bite was juicy and full of flavour.. I enjoyed every bit of it ... one must try this ... we also experimented with a Burmese dish namely Burmese Khowsey chicken dish .... every thing was good the coconut sauce flavour ... super ... the crunchy half cooked veggies ... noodles cooked to perfection ... presentation ... very tempting....but the only negative I felt was an odd very strong bitter taste with every bite which I believe was the burnt garlic ... <br/><br/>We also picked some pineapple and blueberry pastries .... awesomeness....<br/><br/>The menu seemed to be a little pricy for the quantity offered... <br/><br/>It's amazing ... by the looks of the place it has a lot to offer...

Upper Crest lives up to its reputation! The place is a cosy little joint that offers mouth watering food and a great place to sit and chat. The service is great and the food is super tasty. <br/>We had the chicken masala bites and chicken tikka masala both of which were very tasty and we're full of flavours. Very impressed. <br/>The dessert is where they lose it a bit. The red velvet cheesecake was not what we expected. It had non flavour and it certainly wasn't red velvet. <br/>Overall a decent place with really good food. Worth a visit.

If you are here for Indian Cuisine then its a good option. But i seriously doubt the other Cuisines served here and other than that this place is very expensive. They don't have a restaurant like ambience, it more of looks like a bakery and their pricing is more than some good restaurants.

Ordered from here being not sure of weather it would be as good as the proper Upper Crust that we are used to! <br/><br/>We got - <br/><br/>1. Butter Chicken - I have always felt Upper Crust has the one of the best Butter Chickens in town (Take it from me I'm a Butter Chicken connoisseur) and this despite being the Bopal outlet didn't disappoint at all! It was fantastic, yummy, non oily (most restaurants should learn to do this) and full of chicken pieces. Couldn't have been better! <br/><br/><br/>2. Cottage Steak Sizzler - My friend ordered a sizzler for takeaway and I was skeptical how it would turn out 😂😂😂 There was no sizzle but the food was packed neatly with different elements packed seprately. The steak if I may call it that was super soft and delicious! The brown sauce it was covered in was to.die for!<br/><br/>3. Parathas - It is obvious that with a gravy there would have been some breads but the reason I'm putting this down is cause I thought they were a bit undercooked. Could have been better! Also no onions, lemon with Indian food as part of the take away left me wanting a bit more. <br/><br/>Overall a good experience and tasty food! A bit on the pricey side but the taste was super and I wouldn't mind paying that extra bit if the food I'm getting is this good. <br/><br/>Can't wait to try more things from here as we spend a lot of time visiting Bopal!

Nice place to eat something. I'm very fond of vegetable grilled sandwich and chicken biryani of theirs. Good cakes & bakery items too. My only complaint is lack of tandoor in this outlet, it's confusing though as their menu on Zomato mentions tandoor items but this place doesn't have!

There are hardly any items when you order online and they change the order over the phone every time. Have been waiting for an order i just did, its been 2 hours. South Bopal needs better quality of food joints.

For the one's with a sweet tooth, The Tiramisu pudding is an answer to all sugary solutions. <br/><br/><br/>The dish was structured in such a way that in one bite you could taste all the beautiful flavors of caramel, chocolate and coffee.<br/>It started with a crunch of caramel and ended with the richness of coffee. <br/><br/><br/>On a personal note it was just too sweet, but yes all in all a simple dessert one can try at a cake shop:)

Love the Black Dal and Hydrabadi Biryani the most.Nice to order at home.Also tere is large variety of cakes and bakery product.Should try Their Black Forest.

Been to this place several times. It's a cafe cum bakery. The food is good although the ambience isn't very special.<br/><br/>Have tried everything from pasta to pizza to small appetiser bites.<br/><br/>Really like the creamy Alfredo pasta here as well as the blue berry cake slices.<br/><br/>Ambience scores a little low and isn't very special. Staff is courteous and complements the good food served.<br/><br/>Go here for a regular outing if the place is close by for an evening snacks or lunch. Birthday parties here may not be the best idea.

Checked out their newly opened outlet at south Bopal some time ago. Had the vegetable coleslaw sandwich as well as some pastries. Stuff was standard, nothing to shout about. The decor was good, so was the service. <br/>

It was my birthday and we tried Choco Dipped Oreo.. Oreo biscuit with white and dark chocolate.. Taste was so perfect.. Place was nice and clean..

Visited the SoBo Upper Crust thrice, had ovenscapes all three times, and surprisingly enough all them somehow tasted different from what I am used to having at the Vastrapur UC. Thought I had order something else by mistake the first time I went there. But yeah, if you desserts were good..

I received new menu from upper crust a day back and when i called to order my call was transfer to 3 different person and none of them knew what was that!! 😮 When i said dis thing from dis section the person tells me that dey dont serve it....

I specially went there in search for a good lemon tart. And it was beautiful! One bite of it was enough to help me take a tour through heaven. Perfect crunch to the crust. The filling was exactly how it was supposed to be. Sweet and sour and perfectly lemony! Highly recommended👌👍

I am writing this review after my 3 visits to this place.<br/><br/>First of all location of this place is a bit inside from main road so it is hard to locate for newcomers but the area is still in developing phase and has a huge potential so it will not be an issue after some time. Having said that being in that location this place attracts many people and you can see frequent visitors to this place.<br/><br/>This upper crust outlet confined in to one shop and it serves as bakery  as well as a restaurant so there is a problem of space and it is a bit congested place with one side bakery produccts on display and on the other the dining tables which are some where around 5-6. Interiors are nice.<br/><br/>My first visit to this place was a late night dinner as in diwali shopping it got too late and we end up being here at almost 10.45 pm fully tired and hungry.<br/><br/>Menu is quite diversified from usual restaurants though same in their every outlet and one can experiment some new food here.<br/><br/>At that day we ordered chicken kathi kebab and chicken Burmese macaroni. Both items were good in quantity and quality as well. Taste of the both items were really very good and we liked it a lot. Chicken kathi kebab had ample filling of chicken and you can just enjoy eating each and every bite of it. On the other hand chicken Burmese macaroni was even better which is served with two buttered grilled breads and its taste was really awesome. So, it was very satisfying in the taste and quality department.<br/><br/>Service of this place is considerably good and staff is courteous.<br/><br/>Although this place doesn't have Tandoor in the kitchen so you may not get any tandoori items so tikkas and naan are not available. In Indian breads they provide only tava paratha. So, they must improve and bring tandoor ASAP so we can try other things well.<br/><br/>In following visits we had Hyderabadi Biryani, butter chicken etc. and as always their food and taste was intact and I loved it every time.<br/><br/>This place is highly recommended by me and one must try chicken Burmese macaroni.

Very very bad experience from UCC, probably the lowest standard outlet. A bakery doesn't have icing to write message on cake. What meaning for a cake without any messages. <br/>Staff very rude and irresponsible

Never order anything thing ... Very deceptive, ordered a Frankie and after 30 mins sends a chicken roll in a Bun, when I call instead of saying a sorry he says not his fault, sends wrong box of cookies and again says not his fault, sent me a wrong sandwich even after confirmation on phone that it's possible, worst is I had to go to their store to exchange and there also forget an apology the guy has attitude and keeps talking on phone instead of handing over my food which was ready on his table.<br/><br/>Never ever will I go there or order again considering I was a regular here

I've given enough chances to this outlet of Upper Crust(at least 5) before I am writing this..<br/><br/>1 star for delivering today (esp. When no other restaurant was open due to what's happening in the city). Although, I should add that they took 1hr 45 mins to deliver the order instead of what they promised, i.e 45 - 60mins. I ordered around 9pm and got my order delivered at 10.45pm. The last 30 mins I spent following up with them on the order was all about, haan sir 2 min mein nikal raha hai.. Made at least 10 calls to these ppl. Why can't we say the truth? How hard is it?<br/><br/>.5 star for giving me 10% discount on the order (via Zomato) and for the tava paratha they served, it was quite eatable actually. Bravo!<br/><br/>Rubbish food, quite literally! Also, I gave written instructions to not add any sort of grated cheese or paneer, but this outlet doesn't seem to get it at all! They added grated paneer in dum aloo despite giving written and verbal instructions! My wife cannot eat dum aloo becoz she's allergic to cheese and paneer. <br/><br/>Jeera rice and Paneer Butter Masala (with Chinese ting to it), I don't know why would you add Chinese gravy on paneer butter masala. This is one of the restaurants that never fail to amaze me with their food. Their sizzlers, sandwiches, everything is amazing. We went to have this 3 tier chicken club sandwich.<br/>There's one upper crust outlet in every major areas of the city so it really not difficult to find. The service is pretty fast. Seating space is decent, because it is more of a cafe.<br/>Now on the food, this place makes the best sandwiches in town. The portion size is amazing and is enough to fill up one's tummy. The sandwich has an amazing amount of chicken in it, and this amazing mixture of some sauce and melted cheese that is a treat for your taste buds. One can have a decent meal here without burning a hole in his/her pocket. Definitely worth a visit for every food lover in town!

Craving for something chocolaty..so went to this nearest pastry and bakery shop. They have wide range of dishes on the menu apart for pastries and baked goods. All the variety of breads are really good and of great quality. Ambience is pretty good. The staff and the service was okay. Today ordered for paneer puff and chocolate chip brownie. Both were excellent. Would love to try the other dishes as well. Overall little pricey but worth it.

A nice store managed by the most unreasonable, uncouth, unprofessional, sadistic manager named Ramkesh! Upper crust would be the last place I would ever order from.

I was at a friends place and we were craving for some good food. There are good enough options around south bopal but we went with the tried and the tested one. We called upper crust and gave our order. They delivered it on time as expected, the pasta Alfredo was brilliant, it was perfectly cooked and adding some oregano did wonders. The garlic bread was decent as well. You can never go wrong with upper crust..
