Janta icecream has been around ever since I could remember. Growing up, my cousin introduced me to their cold coco and I've been hooked ever since. They do serve a variety of icecreams and faloods but cold coco remains their speciality. Capitalising on this popularity, they have increased their prices a bit over the years but it still not that much when compared to other international icecream chains.<br/><br/>Next time when you go there, don't ask for their regular cold coco, have the one with cadbury shavings.

JANTA Ice-cream is very old ice-cream shop chain in Ahmedabad. They have multiple outlooks in the city as well. You will find the wide choice of ice-cream and other cold drinks.<br/><br/>You can have various types of ice-creams, Chocolate-Coco, Milk Shakes, Fruit Shakes, Cold Coffee, etc. Their every items are good and tasty. Location-wise also, the shop is near to main cross road. Rate-wise it is not so costly and pocket friendly. But hygiene & cleanliness of place needs to be improved.<br/><br/>Overall very nice place to have mouth watering ice-creams & sweet cold drinks after having lunch/dinner.

They do not accept order on phone u have to go there and order them and I could not understand if I can go there so why I will ask them to deliver at my place I can carry that order to my place

I've only tried coco there and its by far the best coco I've ever had, poor ambience and i once saw rats running here and there around open sugar jars in this outlet,after that never went again.

As the name suggests.. One of the oldest ice cream seller in the city and that too desi one.. Sancha made ice cream.. As far as flavours are concerned it is normal as other janta shop provides.. Shop is spacious..

One of the best drinks to have in the dry city of Ahmedabad is Cold Cocoa. My first encounter with this nectra (ambrosia, manna, call it what you may) was at Janta Parlour in Maninagar. Although they have a good selection of ice creams and lassees (and have also introduced snacks like sandwiches and pizzas), my eternal favorite at this store, remains their cold cocoa. <br/><br/>The size of the glass seems to be getting smaller and the price is perennially on an upward rise.<br/>Where 1 large glass would be more than enough once upon a time, even two don't seem to satisfy my need for the brown liquid gold called cold cocoa.<br/><br/>If you happen to be in Maninagar, this place is a must visit!
