Chicken tandoori wrap : price 100bucks ,taste is good but wrap is very dry from inside you will need to have a coke to get it delivered to your stomach.
Kadai gravy wrap : now thats i called a wrap , very taste and juicy. It will dissolve in your mouth.
Only reason for giving 4 *.

If you are from Mumbai or if you have stayed in Mumbai then you might have heard of this.Their main branch is in Mumbai to be precise at the church gate railway station.Usually, any chain has the same price and menu but there is a difference between price. you may find the Mumbai branch cheaper than Ahmedabad. After having a word with the Mumbai branch manager he said that they get the subsidy from railway and here they have to pay a huge amount of money for the rent and that is the reason behind the price difference.Coming to the food they serve very good Frankies but somehow it is not widely accepted by locals, local prefers Mahalaxmi (near HL college) Frankie (again a Mumbai chain Borivali-Kandiwali) or Apna Adda Frankie but it surely deserves a shot to try. Their service is good and quick

They do not give you much options in terms of flavors but they do make one of the best frankies in Gurukul area. The quantity of the stuffing really stands out and flavor is good too.

When the stomach growls and I want to have quick bite there is only one place that starts ringing in my mind is Tibbs frankie.

An economical place with a decent menu option for veg and non veg. They also have wheat roti base as an healthier option.

Off late I made a visit to their food truck at Gmdc grounds where they have introduced Tandoori paneer.
A balanced combo of achari tandoori paneer and green chutney with some salad in it.

They also have Jain options in couple of their flavours. But my recommendation would be for veg will be chatpataa aloo, tandoori paneer and for non veg it would be tawa chicken. But for tandoori paneer u have to go the food truck park at Gmdc grounds behind alpha one mall.

Every visit to tibbs have never let me down on my expectations.

Cheers to the owner Varun Thanawala who specially takes a personal interest in interacting with every customer and gets a feedback for the same.

The one and only, Tibb's is the original frankie place in Ahmedabad. It's a small stall right outside Himalaya Mall and is known for its easy on the pocket frankies. The Vegetable Cheese Frankie is great :)

Delicious Frankies. Chatpata Aloo and Tawa Paneer are awesome. It is Tibbs. You can't get better Frankies anywhere else. Eat and enjoy movies inside the Big Cinema at the mall. Don't Eat Frankies inside the Cinema house.

A good place to gorge on some frankie while you are on the run. Had tawa chicken today, it's so much better than other places that charge a bomb for frankie. Value for money & taste.

Honestly I never really knew about the awesomeness of its taste until I had it a few months ago.
I have been going to the Mc Donanlds in front of it for like ages now but never thought of trying this place.

A few months ago I wanted to try something new and came across this place, tried a frankie there. The taste was so good that I had to have another one immediately and before I realized I had two down my stomach.

Simply loved it. Being in Ahmedabad I haven't really come across any place that serves good frankies apart from cafe upper crust, faasos and HL road.

Would recommend it to all folks who love non veg frankies, although they have around 3 options but its still worth a try.

While I was away from Mumbai all I craved was for some good 'Bambaiya' food! I was overjoyed when I heard of the Tibbs outlet at Himalaya mall!!
As I relished the veg frankie and Tawa paneer frankie, I almost believed that I was back in Mumbai. The frankies tasted just like the original Mumbai frankie. Don't miss out on this cost effective and easy to eat delicious meal! A chilled thumbs up only adds to the whole experience. I hope you open more outlets soon! Can't wait to come there once again!!

What a relief! Finally there is Tibbs in ahmedabad too. Had a paneer frankie and an egg frankie. They were yum, taste was the same as the original mumbai outlets.
It is a gastronomical delight. They even serve wheat based rolls which is a great option for health conscious people. Value for money. Suggestion- please open up more outlets.

@Anuj....Thanks for a great review on Zomato!
On your recommendation and after reading your review I actually thought of trying Tibb's...!!

Getting back to the experience of having food here...it was good surprisingly...its just a small stall outside Himalaya Mall but it still works...I tried 2 frankies...1 veg....tawa paneer...and 1 non veg....tawa chicken....since I am a big fan of indian food....Well...both tasted similar and I guess that was because its the same gravy used....the paneer was pretty normal only...good taste...the wrap around was a little cheewy but i kind of liked dat....Although a friend with me who was tasting didn't....anyways, getting back to the quality...in case of paneer there were quite a lot of pieces...the chicken one had a little less pieces plus it was tangy...i liked the onion inside though...price wise its decent....can be enough for a person....but yes you do feel that hunger pang coming in after one....overall quality wise I would say it was a nice experience....I liked the crisy wrap and the packaging....I think they can increase the size of the wrap a bit for the price they are asking...or increase the filling...either way....i like the overall taste but....makes me want to eat it again... good food...can visit again!

When I read someone's update about Tibb's Frankie on a social networking website my first reaction was WOW!
i have been a fan of this franchise during my short stay in South Mumbai. There was a time when i could hog about 4 frankies standing at the counter and still be hungry for more. They have the most economical and diverse variety of frankies.

The outlet near Himalaya mall is quite small and decent. Though they have only a selected varieties both in Veg as well as Non-veg section but the taste and flavor is the same as it was in Mumbai. If they can include more varieties as like their franchise in Mumbai it will be a hit!

The specialty of the franchise is a typical chatpatta taste of Chat masala in their frankie, it's like their secret ingredient.

I had
Potato frankie: All the wraps are freshly prepared which makes it easy to eat otherwise stale wraps are no less than rubber sheets. The wrap was well cooked and filling was a little less chatpatta than i had expected. But over all it was quite appetizing.

Panner Chilli frankie: Quite spicy and good amount of panner filling in it.

This outlet makes a great place to grab a quick evening snack or dinner. I bet if you had one, you will be tempted to wash it down with some others !

I have never tasted a Non veg frankie but i have observed him while making the wrap, they layer it with an egg. My friend who accompanied me to this place shared his views about the chicken frankie, and says that the egg gives the frankie softness and enhances the flavor of the wrap. Filling for chicken was satisfactory and the chicken was well cooked and soft.

If you are low on cash and wanna finish off dinner in 150- 200 bucks. i suggest grab a bite here !

Finallyyyy!!! Finally Tibb's is off my wish list!
And its such a good feeling to finally know what makes all fellow Frankie lovers rave about it!
Just when I was looking for it, I found the perfect on-the-run occasion for stopping by at Tibb's.
Today I ordered 3 wraps and though I'd pick meat over veg any day I called for a Tawa Chicken, a Chicken Schezwan and a chatpata potato.
The service was as quick as I'd heard of it to be, so that was satisfactory.
The only disappointment being the potato wrap.
Since the first bite, I knew it was looser gamble. The potato was nowhere near chatpata and the only flavour that dominated my wrap was that of raw onions! (Not so good :-/)
But the Tawa chicken wrap immediately made up for it...and by the time I took the second bite of my neatly wrapped, yummy and spicy Frankie with the egg accompanying it well, I had long forgotten the potato debacle.
And then came the Schezwan frankie...yet another wholesome, aromatic with tender and chewy chicken and equally well wrapped frankie! I only wish it was spicer but generally, it was fair to go easy on the chillies.
By the time I was done...I knew I'd be seeing more of this place than I'd thought initially.
At such nominal prices this place can easily overtake other wrap joints!
You have to taste it to love it;)

I love wraps! Call them by any name you want; Wraps, Frankies, Rolls, Rollas, Kaathi Rolls, Pockets, Shwarmas or whatever. I just love them all. I find them very convenient to eat and a perfect meal on the run. Perhaps I grew fond of them while I lived in Dubai and I used to spend most my waking hours in my car commuting from one place to another and I would be picking up sandwiches or wraps from the gas stations. Come to think of it, it goes even further back when we were kids and my mum used to feed our fussy little selves by wrapping subzi in a roti or parantha roll and give it to us in our tiffin box as “Rollie Pollie.” I would love eating the roti-subzi in this cool avatar which otherwise I wouldn’t even touch!

So, It can be called nothing but sheer serendipity that around a month ago I was day dreaming about food (Yup, I do that a lot!) and I was wishing really bad that there should be a proper frankie place in Ahmedabad which was missing in our otherwise quite vibrant food scene. Of course some restaurants feature Frankie in their menu among other things but there was no proper Frankie –First place. But Voila! A few days ago I saw a post on FB by fellow Zoman Anushka Chandran on a foodie group saying that Tibb’s Frankie is finally here in Ahmedabad!

So, on my recent trip to Ahmedabad I drove straight to Himalaya Mall as soon as we entered the city to check them out but they were out of all the vegetarian options! Guess it is really good for us that they are doing such brisk business but I started having a mild panic attack then and there! I didn't want to go home empty handed so asked with a faint hope if they have anything with just eggs in their Non-Veg options and god bless Varun - the guy who owns the place - He got one made with just eggs especially for me! Yay!

The Frankie, even though not on their regular menu, tasted fantastic and as I had taken my order home I kicked myself for not picking at least two of those! I have been a big fan of Tibb’s since quite some time and it is so good to see that the outlet has retained the franchise's original trademarked taste. The Twist & Pull packing is convenient to handle especially if you want to eat in the car (like I often do) or want to grab a quick bite on the run. The Parantha was cooked to a perfect texture and the egg and onion stuffing was very good. I love the tangy chatpata taste of their trademark secret Tibb’s masala. It tastes quite similar to that Tandoori Shredded Salad we get with Kebabs or Birtyani in many restaurants but still has a unique after-taste to it.

The Frankies are priced quite low and even lower right now with their introductory offer. So if you are skeptical about trying them then I would say check them out now when they are almost half priced and make up your mind for yourself.

Like I mentioned, I was super happy with their cooperative service. The only problem is that they open only in the evening and they sell out quite quickly so you might not get the particular Frankie you want and have to settle with your second or third choice. I hope they start anticipating the demand soon and keep bigger stocks. Also, the menu choices are quite limited right now as they haven’t introduced all the Tibb’s flavours and variants that I have seen at the other places. Perhaps they are still testing the waters but they need to up their game soon with a certain purple & yellow logoed Pune based brand also entering the market pretty soon with their bigger selection of wraps and a much more innovative menu.

I shall be updating further as and when I try the other variants on their Frankie menu. Till then please try them once and I am sure you'll like it.
