Review Jasuben Shah Old Pizza - Ahmedabad

Manthan Goradia
Good Italian pizza, their flagship, have been eating it for years whenever I visit Ahmedabad. Gughra sandwich was also nice.

A pretty unique experience. If you are expecting anything close to authentic Italian, then this is not the place for you. We had the Italian Pizza with baked cheese. The sauce was the highlight of the pizza. A decent portion with enough vegetables and cheese. Definitely a must try eatery in Ahmedabad.

Desi style pizza baked with a thin crust topped with choices and a hefty layer of cheese...should be alternate try for regular pizza outlet

The fancy pizza made in desi style makes you carve more for it. Taste is superb. A small outlet on the corner of a busy street will serve you many of local dishes and beverages.

Think it felt a little too hyped for my liking. Sweet sauce is overpowering. Don’t get the real Bhakri feel. Also can’t taste the Amul cheese as the sweetness is too much. Don’t think I’d go back.

Have grown up having their pizza and sandwiches. The place is a good hangout place with Shambus right next to it. I simply love their cheese bake pizza and club sandwich. However with time they have been decreasing the size of the pizza with prices being consistent. This is a major turn off. Other than that pizza lovers would enjoy it.

I tried club sandwich, old pizza, sevpuri and chaat. Old pizza were so tasty. Must try double cheese old pizza. Food 4/5. Sitting and ambience 3/5. You can order juice and coffee from shambhu's coffee bar. It's there too.

Small joint ! But they serve the best pizza in town ! Have been eating them ever since I was a kid and whenever I visit Ahmedabad this is the things to do! Size is small but worth every penny

Visited this place twice. Shambhu's coffee & jasuben pizza is a perfect combination. Pizza of this outlet is good but not extra ordinary.overall good place to hangout plus quick bite..!

WAS GOOD. NOW AVG. this is an old pizza place . that gives desi pizza. For 70 rs . and i think that price is just not worth it. And i don't like the desi pizza . is just to hard and not that quality. I would rather go to a decent pizza place

This place is such a hype in Abad, but to be honest, I hated the pizza at this place. I had heard that their pizzas are sweet, but dude how can an Italian pizza be sweet? At least have something on the menu which isn't sweet. It was heart wrenching to see that.
Only the amount of cheese that they put is appreciative.
My only request, as I can only do that , is please change according to times and preferences. You have to live up to it.

The same old bhakhri pizza that they serve from decades. The quality keeps going down and the price gradually goes up. Though its quite pocket friendly.
But no value for money.
A small pizza base (similar to a bhakhri) is covered with ketchup. Then some onion and capsicum and sometimes tomato is sprinkled over it. (Just a lil bit)
And then they cover it with lotz and lots of cheese, to hide watz inside (or shud I say to hide watz not inside).
Overall, not so good experience. Never before, not even now. Shud give it a chance only if u hav no other option.

As a die hard fan of pizzas i like to eat much and much and try some new pizzas too but the taste this pizzas have is not upto the mark or i can say it is not what i like to eat but it depends on different people as different people have different taste.

I have been to their "original" outlet at law garden eat Street numerous times and since the late 80s early 90s. The taste of "bhakhari" pizza hasn't changed much. The things that have changed are the size and the price.

This is the first time I went to their Prahlad nagar outlet. It sits right besides the main shambhu outlet. One can easily see it as part of the bigger shambhu establishment.

This time I went for baked cheese pizza instead of the standard Italian pizza. It was good in terms of taste. However the cheese due to being non mozzarella variety did not melt. It had become brown and slightly bitter due to high temperature baking. This pizza is result of people expecting dominoes style pizzas with melted cheese and toppings. In short baked cheese pizza are not really worth it because of the cheese being used and the method being used for baking.

Food 3/5
Value for money 3/5
Ambience 2/5
Service 3/5
Menu variety 4/5

The pizza

The pizzas are good but not as good as the original Jasuben pizza in ambawadi. The cost as compared to the quantity has increased. The quality is also not that good as that of the original outlet.

Low price pizza with customized gujju flavour. Too much soury and spicy. Though good place for change. It's nearby my place so I frequently use to be there.

Very average, i don't even consider it as Pizza. Or may be i had it at their wrong outlet.

Best hand made pizzas ever had.
I must say an Italian dish in desi avtar. Jasuben shah old pizza a must visit for pizza lovers.
Though the size of pizzas are not so big and there is not enough dining area but the taste of pizzas have over come these demerits.
With crunchy base and full of grated cheese this place remains one of my fav.

Ambiance is 2/10
Service 6/10
Food 8.5/10

Jasuben Shah should be honoured and respected for her great creation of the delicious any-time pizzas. When i first heard the name of Jasuben pizza, i was like i hate your choice and i am never gonna taste these crap sized pizzas. But my brain was amazed and my tongue was calling the pizza so that i could feel it. It was really a cute and mouth watering pizza. It fitted in my palm so why not give it a try to it. After having my first bite i realised why there was a heavy crowd at its stall. This was the best italian pizza i have ever had. What a mind freshener, i just couldn't stop eating them. It was fairly hygienic, but they need to work a bit on quality and it was also reasonable.

A new concept ;) with an old name
