Take your taste buds on an amazing flavourful journey with Kolkata Konnection! Experience the East Bengal flavours, right here in Ahmedabad. The perfect blend of the right food, with the even better ambience makes every visit worth it :) I would recommend you try out the kebab rolls and the cutlets.

Food is good & so is the service. Ambience is cozy with limited sitting. Had Aloo Roll, Egg Moughlai Paratha, Egg Biryani & Misti Dohi. All were served in quick time. Best among all was Misti Dohi & Aloo Roll. Good food options for both veg & non-veg eaters. Good job Mr. Patel.

Been there once. Was overcrowded. The management had no idea or a plan. Had to wait about 40 minutes after the food was ordered. Had to get my own jar of water for my table. Not at all recommended if the service is not improved

🌐🌐Hunger Hop- Food Fiesta 🌐🌐New in Ahmedabad 🌐Kolkata konnection Ahmedabad 🌐 From a far off land alights a gentleman, well demeanoured, well spoken, well read and extremely amiable. A professional at heart and a geek in terms of business he has his palate full off a wide variety of subjects as one converses. A journey to Ahmedabad since 1994 has seen this lovely gentleman harp upon various trades with a CRM back end of an India Based mega talking Yellow Pages which Mr. Bachchan endorses as one of his key successes. A visiting lecturer at various Management Institutes including IIMA, he shows us his setup by asking a simple question : What is a Startup?, An answer he failed to get from 80% of the crowd. He simply puts : " Startup is solving a problem....You do so and you are on your way"!!! A pristinely done decor in an exposed brickwork backdrop and exposed RCC with tastefully done interiors tell us his penchant for the love of natural designs. A man in charge of affairs at the Kitchen keeps rushing in and out while talking to us and getting us marvellous palates one by one . A very systematic and well organised man of the day, Presenting Samir Patel our man of the moment... Hunger Hop Food Fiesta wishes him all the very best for this wonderful Connection of palates of Eastern Bengal, close to Bangladesh being served right here in Ahmedabad. Let the city relish in all his wonderful delicacies and Say " Yaay Kolkata Konnection" The dishes we had 1. Veg Seekh Kabab Roll : A tastefully done covering of a soft lachcha paratha with a filling which was tasty, well cooked and perfect to the core 2. Chicken Awadhi Kabab Roll : A fine blend of profusely well cooked chicken with a mix of spices and tasty filling in a lacha paratha 3. Veg Seekh Kabab : A lovely spicy palate with well done kebabs and served with onions and beautiful dip 4. Aloo Dum with Biryani : A balanced well cooked aloo dum with finely done gravy breaking the tradition of using small potatoes and doing it the authentic way it is served in eastern bengal with a biryani that was served with the best quality rice and a amazing aroma of the ghee with each grain being separate to relish and cooked to joy. 5. Chicken Kali Mirch : Very tenderly cooked and spice up to perfection. A dish for sure to relish by non veg lovers. This is surely a place to look forward to 6. Veg Mughlai Paratha : This is a dish Samir serves with the elan of a mughal monarch with a stuffing so fulfilling and perfect that each square piece of this square paratha appears like a puff in itself. 7. Non Veg Mughlai Paratha : A dish textured to perfection with each square piece of a square shaped paratha looking like the chess board with further smaller pieces giving it the entire effect of a game of chess in action 8. Egg Mutton Roll : A perfectly done roll with the perfect amalgamation of spices, fillers and taste in a soft luscious nice lacchcha paratha . kathi roll - mutton had perfect bengali taste rather than the mughlai mutton which is more famous in kolkata because nizams and badshah introduced this item to kolkata streets. 9. Mutton Chaap: Fine neatly cut pieces of the delicacy cooked to perfection with that exact blend of taste and spice. kathi roll - mutton had perfect bengali taste rather than the mughlai mutton which is more famous in kolkata because nizams and badshah introduced this item to kolkata streets. 10. Non Alcoholic Beer : A fruit punch with an exact beer like feel but the non alcoholic version giving a marginal satisfaction to the customer 11. Last but not the least , perhaps the first time in Ahmedabad Mishti Doi : An exalted dessert of Kolkata served in a lovely kullad, blended to perfection giving that exact balance between sweetness, lusciousness and a taste which leaves you with an ahhh leaving you gasping for more of this yummy delicacy. A nice startup which I am sure will gain momentum in the coming days and we hope to see this place as a major landmark of Ahmedabad soon Signing off putting on the shoes like dish in which the dips were served and greeting Samir bhai like his salt and pepper greet each other as shown in the pictures attached herewith

I bought chicken kosha full and they have supplied very less quantity. Attaching the picture of the same. Where do in a restaurant you get less than a quarter of chicken in a full chicken gravy. I immediately called the restaurant people and response I got from there has shocked me. They told that full does not mean a full chicken. What full means to them is that, they do not supply half of it. Also the taste was bland and we had to reprepare it.

Walkin into 2020 my foodie self was only inclined towards which places to visit in the beginning of the new decade.<br/>And the first name in my list was<br/>Kolkatta konnection<br/>A long over due visit which I had promised to do last year, finally was checked off<br/>.<br/>.<br/>Kolkata Konnection<br/>When an extremely passionate Bengali decided to hop in in Ahmedabad and open a restaurant, this town just got blessed for all the undeniably good reasons. A super cozy, warm & ultra classy restaurant located at Bodakdev, is a perfect blend of cultural fusion subsumed in the interior, quite evidently working its charm! A natural brick wall, a begali window, Harley corner, & a Mumbai clubs inspired prototype finely accommodated in the restaurant is a catch on!<br/>.<br/>.<br/>We were greeted by Sam (owner) and it was an absolute delight to converse with him one on one. I was blown away witnessing the knowledge & passion he possesses for food.<br/>Since he was there, he helped us order the food and we were served<br/>.<br/>.<br/>• Chicken kosha with chicken biryani - kosha is an age - old bengali way of cooking chicken/mutton which results in meat cooked in a thick & rich gravy, is dish cooked in bengali families. We ordered chicken kosha with chicken biryani.<br/>These dishes combined together created a magic on my plate. Chicken was tender, juicey and so good that it fell off from the bone without having us putting any efforts. It blew my mind and a foodgasm took a troll over my mind & soul. I could not help but close my eyes in every bite.<br/>If you are missing THIS, you are missing out experiencing foodie heaven on earth. It exists at Kolkata Konnection.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>• chicken Seekh kabab roll - I have never had a roll better than this in my entire life. Hot Chicken kabab with eggs and veggies perfectly tucked-in in laccha paratha. Paratha perfectly layerd and crisp added a magic to the roll.<br/>Highly recommended.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>• Chicken Garlic Tandoor - chicken cooked to utmost perfection & a marinated is one charming dish! The good part, you can order the half portion to save some space in tummy. I absolutely love Indian style chicken and when it is this delicious, then you don't miss out on it whatsoever.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>• deep fried fish - Sam recommended us trying freshly cooked Deep fried fish, I was astonished to see there was no single drop of oil on my plate. And it tasted brilliant with the kasundi (mustard sauce)<br/>Mustard sauce normally has very dominating flavor. At KK I got to know the sauce is spiced with masala from kolkata and the difference was just right there. Super combo!<br/>.<br/>.<br/>• masala coke - again a simple soft drink turned into a brilliant drink with kolkata masalas incorporated with coke. Simply WOW!<br/>.<br/>.<br/>Yes, we (2 people) at ALL of that & licked our fingers cleaned.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>It is easy for Me to say that Kolkata konnection is passion for food and brilliance of delicacy personified. The spices, food & taste is pure authentic essence of Kolkata brought to AHM.<br/>If you happen to be there, do not miss out on meeting Sameer, he is an added charm at KK.<br/>I can't wait to visit the place again and try other dishes in their menu.<br/>I highly recommend KK for all the Meat lovers.<br/>They've the veg. Section separated for vegetarians.<br/>.<br/>Go to Kolkata Konnection & thank me later!

First & last time ordering from “here”. I ordered dum aloo and they gave me aloo roll..!! Straight up ₹60 difference in both product. Quality even worse. The Paneer Roll and Aloo roll( wrong item) was like it dipped in Oil..!!! Same goes for hakka noodles as well..!!!<br/><br/>I wouldn’t recommend healthy consumers at all.! Veg seek kebab..don’t know what it was..!! There was no veggies in it...!! <br/><br/>Its still oil in my mouth rather than taste of food..!<br/><br/>Never Again. Think before you order.!<br/>@not recommended <br/>@bad quality<br/>@bad taste<br/><br/>Note:- No dining experience.

As per the name of the restaurant.. Kolkata Konnection don't do justice to the Kolkata Biriyani.. Quantity is an issue

Eggroll was so tasteless that roti was tasting better than egg and veg roll was also very bad, the stuffing was just there so the order get complete, plz taste before sending the rolls , very disappointed with rolls

This used to be a good place but now it's way more than worse. I am writing this review after 2 back back poor experience..<br/>They take up the most amount of time to prepare a dish and that's not an issue if they had been serving food with that quality and standard.<br/><br/>I had ordered an egg biryani and it took them 40 min to serve(which is fine) but when we started eating we found chicken pieces in them.<br/><br/>The second time we ordered chicken 65, chicken biryani and a egg biryani.. the starters came after 30 min... Now instead of egg biryani they bring up egg fried rice. Now the gentleman who took the order was claiming that biryani and fried rice is of the similar category!!! And was insisting us to take it as he had written egg fried rice in the order. We argued and he finally agreed to change.<br/><br/>(It's been 40-50 min and still we haven't received the chicken biryani)<br/><br/>Now he gets both the dishes and the chicken biryani for which he had took more than an hour had literally only two pieces of chicken in it...<br/><br/>They have gone completely against their name from Kolkata Konnection to Kolkata Unkonnected .<br/><br/>This is truly disappointing to see such a fine restaurant degrading itself.

If you could eat the decor, I would have given this place 5 stars. But alas, the food outweighs other considerations at a restaurant and this place is not up to the mark. Me and a vegetarian friend went here for lunch. I ordered the mutton biryani, which was just about okay. It seemed to have everything a Bengali biryani is supposed to have, including the boiled egg, but it was not as flavoursome as I expected it to be. My friend ordered a Dum Aloo, and that was a problem. It was too salty and when we told the maitre d', he declared "this is how it is supposed to taste." A case of the "waiter is always right" as opposed to "the customer is always right." They did re-serve the Dum Aloo in a different gravy but the whole episode left me with a metaphoric bad taste in my mouth. But the place does have a nice ambience and it's well located.

One of the Amazing Food places i have visited so far. Had Tandoori Chicken which was classy! Achari Chicken Tikka Roll, which was one of the best roll i had in my life. 😋😍 Succulent chicken tikka pieces in achari flavour was mast! 🤩 Portion size can be increased though.<br/><br/>And lastly the Chicken Tikka Biryani took me to the heaven. Such nice aromatic flavours with authentic kolkata style potato in it! Just loved it. 😍

After a long time we went to a place where we enjoyed having Kolkata food, enjoy Bengali music and saw the video on TV. Nostalgic moments...

I have an opportunity to having their food during my business trip in Ahmedabad. I have visited their restaurant and repeatedly ordered their foods via Zomato. I am very much satisfied with the quality of their service and delicious foods ! I strongly recommend their Mutton Biriyani to every Bong Biriyani lover.

This place was on my radar for a quiet long time. Finally, visited this place. This is a Calcutta themed small cost restaurant with miniatures of tram and iconic yellow ambassador. The menu is a mix of Calcutta cuisine, mughlai and kebabs. I tried Alu Dum, egg biryani, veg biryani, mughlai parantha, veg roll, laccha parantha and of course the Mishti Doi. The biryani was classic Calcutta style, with the boiled potato inside. Alu Dum was also upto the mark in terms of species & flavours and close to authenticity. The quantity is sufficient for two persons for main course items and single serve in case of biryani if you are not ordering anything else. I really liked the rolls they offered which is easily available in street food stalls in Calcutta. The waiters are cute, friendly and from Bengal.<br/>This place does not the traditional Bengali dishes like Alu bhaja and Posto but whatever Bengali they have in their is at its best. Jhalmuri was finished the time I went. I'll be visiting again for Jhalmuri.

Food was worst ... except rolls nothing was up to mark ... the service was slow too .. .. needs very much improvement..and ya the value for money is zero (0).<br/>

Nice and tiny restaurant. They serve mostly bengoli food. Their tools are nice but Biriyani can be improved. Water they serve not good quality so that they can they can sell more of bottled water
Subham Borah
Good homely Bengali food. A tad bit expensive for the portion size. The mutton biryani and mutton kosa (special menu item) + steamed rice combo are both extremely tasty, with very well cooked tender mutton pieces. The appetizers are way too expensive for the portion size, especially the fish items like fish fingers. But nevertheless, a worthwhile place for both lovers of Bengali food as well as those willing to try this amazing cusine.

I have been a regular at Kolkata Connection, since a few years now. However, the restaurant seems to have fallen from grace 😞<br/><br/>The food, including the delectable rolls didn't taste the same, as it used to... Guess the kitchen staff's changed hands, as well.<br/><br/>Hope the place gets it's mojo back!

It’s one of the best place in Ahmedabad for Bengali food <br/>The place have a unique touch of the environment that we see in the restaurant in Kolkata <br/>Food is good and have variety in there menu. <br/>Food :4/5<br/>Atmosphere: 3/5<br/>Space:2/5 not enough space need more seating arrangements <br/>Menu:4/5

We have been craving for kathi roll for long time. While scrolling in Zomato, we came across Kolkatta Konnection in Bodakdev. They have got good collection of Kolkatta delicacies especially in kathi rolls and non-veg. I loved the ambience of the restaurant, its very cozy and comfortable. Staff is very polite and decent. We have enjoyed the food and the restaurant has fulfilled the craving for good kathi roll. We will be visiting the restaurant again to try different food options. I will give the restaurant 4star. Hope u would also find it to be the same. <br/>Kudos to KK

THIS PLACE IS REAL EXPENSIVE. They don’t like to offer as much as they charge. I HAD A HARD TIME BELIEVING THE PORTION OF MY DISH. The chicken roll here is ^Also not tasty. They don’t serve you, THEY STEAL and you let them get away with your hard earned money. Disclaimer - Try this place at your own risk ^ONLY IF YOU WANT TO GET YOURSELF FOOLED.

Kolkata konnection the name is connected but hopefully the taste is a bit away from the Kolkata nonveg dishes just want to know who puts egg in chicken biriyani.<br/>Although taste was good but in order to make the portion size egg was added in chicken biriyani .<br/>We happened to visit this place craving for some non veg dishes .<br/>Place is small but decorated well<br/>Staff are good and communicative but the food should have better<br/>Will look to try some other dishes as well .

I am going to this restaurant ever since it was opened. Recently, for the past 3-4 visits, I am not pleased at all to see the casual approach of the restaurant. The food quality and quantity both has deteriorated. Sad to see such a thing, I really loved their food. I don't know whether I would be visiting that place again. Sigh!!!
Kapil Hingorani
Horrible food.<br/>No taste, no fragrance, aweful quality... Not recommended. Only the interiors are good, but the basic thing for which a restaurant is known -food, on that front this place is pathetic. Go at ur own risk
Jeetu Mathew
I think u should change ur container size.. u charging very high and serving a small quantity.. paying 230 plus for chicken bharta in a bowl size container.... is over pricing..
Niyati Parikh
Nice quaint place that serves kathi rolls n chops Calcutta style. Best option for Indian Non veg preparations in town. V tasty n fresh, not over spicy or oily. Though portions are not too big.<br/><br/>Interiors are ordinary with a touch of Kolkatta here n there<br/>Service is good too n not too expensive.
Monali Jadia
Worst biriyani ever no taste what so ever its like boiled rice nothing else no test total waste of money over priced nd highly over rated ....<br/>

Bad Experience :(<br/><br/>Most of dish were unavailable, infact they were not even serving tandoori roti, naan and steam rice. They said jeera rice is available but steam rice is not available. I hv no idea how is that possible.<br/><br/>Then I ordered so called their signature dish which won some best dish award(as mentioned in board kept near their enterance door) that is "MUGHLAI PARATHA" and found hair in it. Returned it.<br/><br/>Moreover, it took 30min to prepare paratha.. Tht is still fine but when inqured about delay, we got to know chef is not present.<br/><br/>We also ordered chicken bhuna n asked to make it spicy. It was neither good nor spicy. We lost temper as paratha took 30min n it came with hair in it, then curry was also served late n was not at all spicy. Then we came to know that the person who was preparing food was not chef but MANAGER. Yes! you read it right! Even I was shocked to know that. Nowadays there It's manager who is cooking dish.<br/><br/>Never going back there again. Their mughlai paratha used to be good when chef was preparing it n never found hair before.<br/><br/>Worst thing is we were asked to pay bill for that. Yes! for that paratha which was served with hair stuffed in it was included in bill.<br/>

The quality of food has gone down hill<br/>I had ordered a paneer roll. The paneer was badly done. The paneer was not properly barbequed. There was some weird sweet sauce. I have ordered paneer roll when the restaurant had just opened which was really nice. The preparation has been changed now.<br/>
User
Highly disappointed!<br/>Can't trust this place for availability of food<br/>Went there with guests and they didn't have anything available except biryani and we had to order it as had no choice and when asked to repeat the biryani they didn't even had that.<br/>I am a Bengali and the food doesnt match up Bengali food.<br/>Never gonna go again

Awesome food and superb friendly staff. Special thanks to owner Samir for going extra mile and getting our food delivered on a busy day. Our order had chicken, mutton and fish and everything excelled our expectations. Kudos!

This was the first time i ordered chicken biryani from Kolkata konnection and overall the quality of the biryani was not at all good as the chicken tasted bad, it had a weird taste. The chicken was not fresh which spoiled the taste of biryani. I have been disappointed on my very first trial.
Naman Nagersheth
Probably the worst restaurant to order rolls. Look at the condition it has come in. This is a 240 RS roll. The meat condition is extremely poor. No sauce or good marination for the roll. Please save yourself and do not order a roll from here. Sharing a picture

Heard a lot about this place for its Biryani's. But when i visited the place, the Biryani was a little bland and tasted not that great. But i really loved the ambience.
A Foodie!
Amazing food in a small quiet place with amazing music. Not too many people so not noisy at all. Service also really good with smiling staff. Loved it. Thank You Team Kolkata Konnection for a wonderful Sunday evening !!

Great Ambience. Ordered Chicken Biryani which was excellent. Although the staff looked a little low on product knowledge. <br/>Rest must visit for biryani lovers

could have been less chewy chicken
Shahvijayd
It was really a bad food. I wish no one will order it .I am sorry to say that it was really pathetic . Without taste, without quality material it was worst ever had .
Rahul Kashyap
Poor food, poor service ! Found chicken pieces in my veg biryani order. Quality and taste also very average. Stay away from this place. You cannot trust such a restaurant which puts chicken pieces in vegetarian dishes.
Arya
Very bad, never recommended. I had ordered a VEG BIRYANI COMBO and there was a CHICKEN ( non veg) piece in it. Cheap quality and the vegetable was bitter in taste. NEVER ORDER from this restaurant.<br/><br/>**** Pls see the pic, i have marked the chicken piece in the veg biryani.
Rajesh Bisht
delivery was very fast not even expected this ...it came before 10mits... the delivery guy was too good
Chiriki Dinesh
Biryani ... How come you call it as biryani... If u are a spicy lover. Then Avoid .. I say Avoid. We didn't like it and the quantity it is very Little much ...
Lionel
It's a small little joint with a nice ambience and courteous staff. Being a Bengali restaurant the mughlai paratha and Kathi rolls are their specialities, the chicken Kali mirch roll was in fact really good, the<br/>The chicken tikka was was pretty standard, your regular run of the mill preparation.<br/>Second was the mutton tikka starter which was fairly small in size as compared to portions served at other restaurants.<br/>Will try their mughlai paratha and biryani next<br/>
Pooja Pritesh Menon
Food taste is not up to the price that is tken.try n improve the taste of the food..I ordered chicken tikka biryani n it doesn't was up to mark.no flavours nothing.
Toton Choudhury
Horrible food where the fish roll served was stale and the Biryani was oily...<br/>Worst part they only accept cash???? Who carry cash in these day excuse is card machine is not working
Souren Choudhury
Horrible food we went today for dinner where ordered for chicken cutlet which was good but fish finger was horrible and smelling and ordered for mutton biryani which was even worse with lots of oil and burnt mutton peices......The worst part was they don't accept card you have to pay in cash ???
Uttara Shah
I ordered mutton chaap. There was no chaap. The Meat was in pieces and  was really really bad. It was stale, rotting, stinking and under cooked. Had to throw it away. would never order from here again. This restaurant is definitely a health risk.
Sneha Dawani Bijlani
Ordered mutton biryani from here. Have never had such a tasteless biryani as this.<br/>There was just one mutton piece, which just had the bone, nothing else, the rest of it was plain bland rice. Never ordering from here ever again.
Biswarup Das
Only biriyani both chicken and mutton, rezala, chap & fish cutlet is worth eating, tasty and perfect. Mughlai and rolls not so good. Baki item is so so. Sweet curd is awesome as well.
Asav Mansukh Patel
I have ordered mutton seekh kebabs and received veg seekh kebabs. So i contacted zomato customer support via chat and they started contacting the restaurant. After 25 mins of hard work they were able to contact the restaurant and they accepted it and suggested me to replace the order. After 10 mins i got reply that the restaurant dont have delivery boy so wont b able to replace my order so they will issue the refund. This is what i call very poor customer support from the restaurant end. How can restaurant say so casualy that they dont have delivery boy when they r already accepting the new orders on zomato? It wasted my total one hr for all these. Before sending the orders the restaurant should confirm the order before sending out to the customers. This means that there is no such system placed in the restaurant. This raises another concern - quality of food. If this restaurant is so casual about their delivery orders than i highly doubt that they have any food quality control inside the restaurant. Beware before ordering at this restaurant.
Sanckoz JB
First thing that strikes is that its too damn well maintained and has a warm feel to it. The staffs are genuinely well behaved and very attending. The food was very tasty, though for the price the quantity can genuinely be increased. Yes the biryani taste is really close to "The Kolkata Taste". Overall its a must visit.
Spike So
The food was too dry, too many green chilli made it unedible. There were no sauces in it. Basically it was shit.
Janardhanan Selvakumar
Takeaway review!<br/>Ordered an egg roll and chicken roll. Service is good for takeaway customers too. They both were really good. Chicken roll was loaded with chicken and was never short of pieces. A really satisfying meal.<br/><br/>A special mention on the interiors. I wish I had dined there as their interiors were so quirky and perfect for a date! With so cool decor, this Kolkata Konnection is a must-go cafe for hangouts and romantic dates!
Harsh Gajera
I owed this long pending review for the peppy yet perfect place to relish authentic Bengali and North Indian crusine. One of my favourite places for Chicken dishes in Ahm. The food was just so appealing to your taste buds specially Chicken Staters were perfectly cooked with right blend of succulent Flavours. The service was pampering and relatively quick. 👍🏼
Hitesh Thakkar
Very poor quality with rate no taste of quality and poor service as per item rate I personally never suggest to any one visit the restaurant

My very long time craving for authentic Kolkata style kathi rolls in Ahmedabad ended here. It was worth hunting for rolls post my departure from Bangalore. It is one place you have ample amount of outlets to try different rolls. However Ahmedabad has only one but quite unique and authentic.<br/><br/>Outlet is very small compared to the other similar cafes however ambience is just wonderful. The moment you pitch in you will feel refreshing with ambience and music. On top of it they have some amazing sound tracks to make a perfect atmosphere.<br/><br/>A bit overpriced though however I managed it with Nearby coupons for getting some discount. Definitely worth a try for authentic rolls and Kolkata style biryani. Go for Egg roll, Chicken bhuna and Chicken Biryani!!
Arun SH
Taste is good. But quantity is very less
Anita
Not as per expectation, we had been here earlier too but food was awesome last time this time it was not which we had expected at all plus it seems spicy word is missing from there cooking along with other things as it was only boiled rice we were eating instead of a proper biryaani and it seems that basic curtusy is also missing from the manager and staff who after complaining does not even bother to come and speak with unhappy customers.<br/><br/>Request Zomato to please add a 0 star or no star in experience that can be given to this place for their ignorant behavior and low quality cooked food.

Small place... awesome place for bengali food<br/>I order alloo roll taste was good nice staff.<br/>Little slow service nice experience..<br/>Ambience-3.5 nice idea<br/>Food-4<br/>

stuffing of mughlai paratha is just uncooked, not like authentic dish of kolkata
Sarju Parekh
The worst food ever, Roti was not proper & taste of biryani was third class. Not enough quantity. Hilarious thing is that charged 10rs for non-woven bag.
Taraknath Nath
quality is very good, but quantity is not enough full plate

The paratha was soggy, overly oily and poorly wrapped, cheese and mutton were not mixed properly, and there were no onions. This has happened thrice.

Visit only if you have a sense for food.  If you have, this is THE place to be.<br/><br/>A small place with people ( Samir) with a Big heart and zeal to feed, you can feel a bit of Kolkata here ( if you have been to Kolkata, you can understand).  Nice and Clean ambiente. <br/><br/> We. ordered , tanduri chicken,  CH and Mutton Kathi roll, Mutton Muglai .  Kathi rolls were awesome and similar to the one you get in Kol.  However the Mutton Biriyani was clear winner.  NO exaggeration,  but it is one of the best in town. Probably the best Biriyani of Ahmedabad. It was well cooked, mutton was tender enough.<br/><br/>It was a delicious experience and of you happen to see Sam around, go by his recommendation.
Anup Dave

After reading some good reviews and hearing some things about this place from friends, finally been to this place to have some dishes takeaway.. Restaurant seems to be small but ambience is good..<br/><br/>I ordered Vegetable Mughlai Combo which consisted of Vegetable Biryani & Dum Aloo.. Personally I have never thought of this combination as I have just tried Vegetable Biryani with Dahi or Raita till date.. Although this combination was average one too in taste.. I was more interested to have some typical Biryani but that was missing.. Dum was missing too and because of that Biryani was not that tasty.. It was more like a simple but spicy rice.. Dum aloo was good in taste..<br/><br/>Overall this place looks good to enjoy some quality time with friends or family and I feel can be given a try as well once to have some in house specialities they serve..

the worst chicken roll i had. too hard to grab the bite. too much dry filling. only with a lots of chilli and onion though i have given the instruction to make.. as being in a food related industry i never have this kind of experience in chicken roll. just wastage of money.

This place has good Ambiance and good food. The price at this place is much like what is across Ahmedabad. The food is authentic Bengali food. All in all a good experience with family.

they are fake biryani... only rise no chicken anywhere..

The only place to have authentic Bengali Mughlai Cuisine in Ahmedabad. I love their mutton biryani which comes with 2 large chunks of tender mutton, well cooked and marinated along with a boiled potato and egg, typical of the Kolkata style. The taste is quite similar to that of Kolkata style Biryani. The Misti Doi too is quite good. Apart from that the Mutton Seekh Kabab is definitely worth a try. It is tenderly spiced and the texture is perfect. Mughlai Paratha is also something i loved.

OMG horrible food.. tandoori chicken was only and extremely salty. And chicken chaap was so less it was not even enough for one person..biryani was also too average.. not worth wasting your time and money over. Pls skip this place and go ahead to better joints.

Ambience is good, very little choice available for bengali cuisine ,whatever we tasted from the given choices had a northern touch to it, although the cook tried real hard to match the bengali taste and feel of the cuisine , will love the food if you dont have a preconceived notion abt bengali food ,usp being melodious bengali songs from the yesteryears well dressed n polite staff with n eye for service .
Charanjeet
substandard preparation.

Serves some really good rich as well as thick chicken and mutton gravies.<br/>While the pricing of the Rolls & Mughlai Paratha dishes is quite unreasonable.

Ambience is alright. Nothing fancy.<br/><br/>Starters very good, especially fish starters. Main course was not that great.<br/>Service is very very slow.
