It was a lovely little cute place i can say Small but cute arrangement was there. Only one table sitting arrangement was there. Taste of every cake and pastry was lit. The decoration of differante flavour of chocolates in that golden boxes was so attractive in that two of freeze. Black out pastry was so so delicious. We ordered it hot. So that is was pleasurable to eat. Ummm. :):):) I recommend this place to every cake lovers and this will be one of my favourite place for sure. :):):)

TGB is a chain of multi cuisine restaurants and Ahmedabad is lucky enough to have small TGB cafes in almost every area.

Location: On Shahibaug Highway

Service: Prompt

What we ordered: Hot Chicolata Pastry(not sure of the name) and Veg Truffle Pastry

Accha aur Kifayati!
Vishrut Thakkar
Pathetic service and by far the worst excuse given for a stale piece of pastry served "sir ye aisa hi hota hai"
Seriously pathetic
The status of tgb is going down because of such outlets

Because it has got very little competition in shahibaug, the staff has got a lot careless over the years... The cashier seems to be deaf and u have to often repeat things.. I they get a phone , they will take their time finishing the call n u r left feelin like .. Well .. Dirt!

That's why the 3 rating..

The apple and walnut pie r good .. But off late have got bored with it and also with its pastries too! Chiefly B'coz i ve been eating the same pastries and pies for all these years at all its branches!! May it be maninagar or shahibaug :)

I seriously think they need to change their inventory!

Their pastries ( choc almond and dutch truffle among others )r good, but u know i am a bit old fashioned, and i still like the base of my pastries wet ( as we used to have for black forests! Sigh... :) However over here the base is quite dry for all its pastries .. I hope they introduce one with wet base..

But due to lack of any better alternative we do go there from time to time ..

Living in Ahmedabad for more than 14 years now I had never ever tasted a cake by TGB. Nor had I tried their cafe outlets besides Cafe Piano. So this first time was a pleasant surprise.

By a sheer coincidence I found a parking spot right next to TGB Cafe and Bakery a good few hundred meters away from my friend's apartment in Shahibaug where we were getting together for the New Year's dinner as the street he lived on was totally jam packed. Thought of picking up a cake from here so that I don't show up to the party empty ended. The place was brimming with the 11 PM new year's revelry.

Was confused about which cake to pick and was suggested Chocolate Celebration by the man behind the counter. I was told that it is a mix of three different types of chocolate - Dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate. But what cinched the deal for me was the purple ribbon on the top and around the cake. It looked pretty so I picked it up.

The cake was absolutely delicious. The combination of three chocolates was perfectly balanced and it tasted very good. The texture was also just right. It wasn't a typical spongy cake but rather a mousse-y cake being slightly liquidy and soft with pieces of chocolate laid around the circumference of the cake. I am typically not a cake person but when I took a bite of this one I quite exclaimed about how good it was and thus was compelled to write this review.

Would love to try the other savories on their menu as well as they all looked quite good in the display counter. The quiche especially caught my eye but we had already got enough food that night from Jay Bhavani and Anand so will take a rain-check on that.

The staff was very helpful inspite of the new year madness. They were very patient with my indecisiveness and explained all different flavors to me before I made up my mind even when they were clearly so busy hence an extra thumbs up for that.

My first TGB cake was a big hit. Will be back here for more :-)
