It’s Nice Place with Good Ambience. Very tasty and delicious dosa are served with authentic taste you also get sambhar and chatni in decent quality. Their dosa are most likely to have bcoz of taste and crispness. Its little far in old city near by ellish bridge but you can go there for good SouthIndian food. Must Visit Once. Also the prices are according to thier Food Quality not overpriced.

In the small alleyway, this place is located. Like a small Alley, this place has a small surrounded area. In short, this place is going to be packed with limited seating arrangements at weekends. Therefore, considering the turn, you would get in 20-25 minutes span, but it's all worth the wait. The food they serve is totally delicious and delightful. They're known for their typical karnatak cuisine where the taste was absolutely udipi style. We've heard a lot about this place, so we decided to go by to try southern delicacies on sundays. There, we had F. Thali, Mysore Masala, Ghotala, and Banglore Dosa. All dosa were so flavourful and rich in taste, but my favourite was MM with Garlic Flavour. And of course, how could you forget their filter coffee [Never miss] it was that good and soothing. This place is very cosy, and it will fill with a bunch of a few people. It is truly a gem for South Indian food in ahmedabad. If you're near-by lal darwaja market, make sure to check this place out.

Very good place with excellent food quality and ambience too. Their service was also good. I ordered Bangalore masala dosa and one tea from them. Dosa was perfect and they also provide me with extra coconut chutney and sambhar.

Banglore masala Dosa :<br/> Banglore masala dosa with red chutney is perfect combination for dosa lover. It was tasty and spicy. The taste of it was totally delectable.👌👌<br/><br/>2. Mysore masala Dosa :<br/>We tried it with green chutney which is not good combination to try here.👎👎<br/><br/>3. Paper sada Dosa :<br/>Here the paper dosa was very thin and super crunchy. It's very huge which can serve for more than one person and it's a longest form of dosa as well. As it was plane dosa there was not any stuffing in it.<br/><br/>4. Punjabi fix thali :<br/>It was imited thali but definitely good enough for a person. It contains 2 punjabi sabji, 4 roti, 2 sweets, dal fry, jeera rice, papad and butter milk. Taste of it was amazing. You will have real punjabi taste in it. <br/><br/>4. Gujarati fix thali :<br/>If you are away from home and want to have taste of Gujarati cuisine you, should try for this. It was limited thali containing 2 sabji, 5 chapati, 2 sweets, dal-sambhar, jeera rice, papad and curd.<br/><br/>5. Sweet Lassi :<br/>The lassi was fresh and the taste and texture of it was super delicious. It was simple, authentic and chilled.<br/><br/>6. This small place is good for having South Indian Breakfast. Ambience is minimalist but it's good and satisfying if you know what Udupi restaurants has in Udupi and in that region. The staff is comfortable and friendly.<br/>Filter kappi is amazing, so is the podi masala idly and dosai.

This is a cosy little place serving decent south Indian cuisine. I love their filter kaapi while same can't be said for their dosa. While the dosa itself was decent, they need to work on their chutney and sambar. Hope they improve on this.

heard a lot abt this place and finally i got a chance to order food from here..i felt like eating something really light so i went for upma and plain dosa..The upma was soo light and delicious(one of the best ive ever had) also the sambhar and chutney were equally good,should definitely try it.

Dosa and idly , upma are not good in taste this is not like south indian food so I don't order any items in this restaurant for next time ....

Coming to ahemdabad business tour , I am always fond of South Indian dishes one of my cousin told me about udipi Jaya hotel near Lal darwaja in ahemdabad trust me being an mumbaikar you will never feel like u are in ahemdabad, when I visited the hotel in the afternoon time it was already crowded I ate masala dosa , Mysore dosa , & masala rice, taste just like Mumbai , chatney & sambhar were awesome in taste , I loved the most was masala rice it just a perfect combination of South Indian spices vegetablrs and rice .. 1 thing is whenever I visit Ahmedabad for some function or so , I will do visit udipi Jaya..

A small, compact place hidden in the streets of Lal Darwaza, ideal for satiating gastronomical cravings in a low budget. We ordered paper dosa, curd rice and punjabi thali.<br/>The paper dosa was huge which attracted smirks from the neighbouring tables, but it was crunchy and filling. The curd rice however was a little too fluidy. The punjabi thali on the other hand was nice and had a good variety. The vegetables served were juicy and soft, the dal tasted like a home preparation. The staff were courteous and responded on time. All in all a good experience and light on the pocket.

Just visited this place in the afternoon for the lunch. Hoped to get the traditional South Indian taste, but all went in vain. First ordered French fries, which were served at the end of the lunch. These were totally horrible in taste and over fried.<br/>Rava Masala Dosa - Okay<br/>Rava Sada Dosa - Okay<br/>Sambhar is totally of no value. White coconut chutney was okay. They give only white chutney so if you are the lover of different South Indian chutney like red then you miss something here..!!<br/><br/>Rates are some how OK.. Sambhar is very good in taste but not beat the kaushal dosa one..!!<br/><br/>Sorry guys but I prefer kaushal one first here for the Sambhar..!!

Small homely place nestled in the bylanes of Lal Darwaja in the Marathi colony. My personal favorites here are the butter uttapam, and lassi. However, everything is pretty good. There is a budget thali avilable for 50.

I had their masala idli and blore masala dosa. The idli was decent but had a hint of Chinese masala. Dosa was average as well, nothing special.
