Review Punjabiyat By Jassi De Parathe - Ahmedabad

We went there for lunch and came away stuffed with delicious authentic Punjabi vegetarian food. The standard of quality and service is maintained well. If you're seeking for pure vegetarian meals with Punjabi flavors, this is a must-try. We tried Paneer bhurji with paratha, dahi puri, Aloo paratha with Patiala lassi The dishes are a little costly... but no complaints when you're getting quality food. Suitable for any occasion.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a local paratha shop, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in the warm, inviting aroma of freshly cooked parathas. The menu offered a variety of options, from classic aloo parathas to more exotic choices like paneer and amritsari parathas. The parathas were cooked to perfection – golden brown on the outside with layers that were both flaky and soft on the inside. The fillings were generously stuffed and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a delightful explosion of spices and textures. What truly stood out was the dedication to quality. The parathas were made with care, and it was evident that the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. The shop's attention to detail and commitment to authenticity were commendable. The ambiance was cozy and unpretentious, allowing the parathas to take center stage. The service was friendly and prompt, making the overall dining experience enjoyable. In conclusion, this paratha shop is a hidden gem for those seeking a taste of traditional Indian cuisine. If you're a paratha enthusiast or looking to explore the world of Indian flavors, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It's a culinary experience that won't disappoint.

Great food with great ambience and service. I went there with friends. We enjoyed the food and environment a lot. We went there for lunch. We ordered Amritsari kulcha (₹280), Tandoori paneer dry(₹280), chhash (₹80), Patiala Lassi(₹330), All in one Paratha (₹230), Dal tadkewali (₹270), Jeere Wale chawal (₹220). I recommend Amritsari kulcha and Patiala Lassi (must try). Dal was little spicy but good if taken with rice. We got 20% corporate discount also 😄. Overall it was good experience.

In addition to parathas, Jassi De Parathe also serves a variety of other Punjabi dishes, such as chole bhature, chana masala, and dal makhani. You must try there Patiala Lassi and dal Makhni. Lassi is not the same as jassi de but it was tasty. Paratha, kulcha, mixed veg, paneer basically any punjabi food you can count on the taste. Vegetarians will love it non Vegetarian when crave Vegetarian food can come here. Overall it was good to spend weekend and family meals. Totally recommended...

You can’t beat freshly prepared Punjabi food. They also grind their own flour I was told. The selection of parathas are also delicious. Be sure to look at the seasonal specials as well as the combos which is what I ordered. They also have unique seating available. Lassi is served in a bottle kept nice and cold. While I rarely comment on rest rooms, I must say the mens restroom was nice and clean. The Punjabi achar is the perfect compliment to any dish. I do recommend visiting Punjabiyat for lunch or dinner. Enjoy!!!

Great food and great ambience 🤩 If you wish to taste authentic North Indian food, this is the restaurant to visit!. Truly awesome! I found their price quite reasonable: the items are not too expensive, so you get good value for your money. I'd visited the 'Jassi de Parathe' Prahlad Nagar outlet a few weeks back and I was initially sceptical if the taste here would match theirs, but I was not disappointed. I had a really good time with my family and everyone went home contented. :)

Interior was quiet beautifull with traditional touch. Tried several dishes and tasted good. Scope of improvement in pindi chole.

Good food , nice ambience. Very polite and quick service by the staff. This place had cleanest toilet- I had ever seen in a full restaurant in a while.

Had All In One Cheese Paratha, Sabji Pulao and Pushtaini Thali. All In One Cheese Paratha was served with Amul Curd, Amul Butter and Pickles. The size of the Paratha was large enough. Sabji Pulao was tasty. But it would have been great if it had accompaniments, either Papad or Raita. Pushtaini Thali had Ghee wali Phulka Rotis, Baingan Bhartha, Mili Juli Sabji, 1 Gulab Jamun, Chhas, Dal-Chawal, Papad and Salad.<br/><br/>The quality and quantity of food, both were good. The delivery was also on time. <br/><br/>A special mention to the packaging, as in today's time, it has become an important part as the food itself. The quality of the material used for packaging was of very good quality. There was no leakage or spillover. Chhas was delivered in a glass bottle instead of usual plastic bottle or tetrapack. Overall, a great experience.<br/><br/>Food: 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼<br/>Packaging: 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼<br/>VFM: 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼<br/>

Being fan of jassi we parathe , expectations have been quite high . Main course Punjabi not bad , but distinct from "Pushtaini " .

Dear Punjabiyat, after 20 min or more of accepting the order you declined the order. One suggestion for you, if you can't fulfil the order then please don't accept the order. And if you accept then deliver it. Don't waste customers time and please don't ruin the name of Jassi de parathe. Thank you.

Taste is okay.. not that great.. portion is less.. you are always in dielema weather to order more or leave with half filled tummy.
Jaldhi Mehta
The food was oily and not upto the mark. The masala chaas was okay, but everything else disappointed.

Despite booking the table for 15 people well in advance the tables were not ready. We specifically requested for Western seating tables as our group included people who were pregnant. Despite waiting for half an hour the table was not ready. The manager of the restaurant is also showing attitude and completely denying the fact that we arrived at the time we had booked for. This is not the service that is expected out of one of the most well known restaurants in the city. Never recommending this for large groups. Never coming back.

We’ve had food from here three times before and have never been disappointed. Fantastic quality when it comes to authentic Punjabi food. Would rate it a solid 4.5 on 5. <br/><br/>ZOMATO as usual is perfect. Missed out on a buttermilk but I was provided a credit without any hassles.

We went over there with friends. The ambience of the restaurant is good.We have ordered six different type<br/>Of paratha :Aloo lasan da paratha,Amritsiri paratha, tamatar phudina da paratha, all in one paratha, makai lasan da paratha ,aloo paneer cheese da paratha...when you put the piece of any paratha, you feel the truly Punjab wali feeling.Evenmore we have ordered the starters karari arbi:totally worth..and karari bhindi:crispness is missing.<br/><br/>Overall mast experience

DISAPPOINTED!!!<br/>The slowest service i have ever faced in a restaurant, the food was not coming out of the kitchen only. The servers and captains were busy in their own stuff, manager was busy in the cash counter computer rather then the guests. There was no one to collect the bill. They also gave me a feedback for which was already filled with good reviews 🤣🤣🤣. I dont know what went wrong today. But considering it a bad day for them and giving them 5*.

Went today for lunch...very nicely decorated place. Totally different from other branches. Food was so tasty.. recommended to all

One of the best places in Ahmedabad to try the Authenitc Punjabi meals. The cost is a little high but you'll be impressed with the food quality. Kulchas, Lassi and Punjabi food is very good. The ambience is wonderful. The staff is highly trained and they took care of our group very well even on a pack Sunday. <br/><br/>Ambience: 4/5<br/>Food: 4/5<br/>Service: 4/5<br/>Value For Money: 4/5

It was our anniversary dinner. And we wanted to eat only north indian so we were here . The place and the sitting arrangement is superb.. Evan service was also good and food was tempting.. but the quantity was so much less as per rate .

We planned a reunion here. Need to wait for an hour just because of improper Management. What happened was that 6 person tables were allotted to 2 person. And small tables were merger for bigger groups. <br/>Service was too slow but food was amazing. <br/>Need more staff in order taking & Management. <br/>Food wise its was good. <br/>We tried Few things - Corn Cheese tikki(must try), Panner Tikka Dry, Panner Makhanwala, Panner Patiyala, Subji Lasuni, Naan, Laccha Paratha. & Lassi(was too sweet). Chur Chur Naan(was like a normal naan only). <br/>Rest was a good experience. <br/>Budget wise $$$

Food taste was good..Ambience and service also upto the mark..prices were reasonable but food portion size was too less...Restaurant should think of increasing the serving size for which prices may be increased accordingly.

A good quality Punjabi food nd also great quantity. Great ambience nd great service. Hygiene food. Great quality than other branch of jasse.

We went there on 3rd nov '19 at the dinner time. The food served was good but please "Beware".. They have a valet parking and in the morning when I got into the car ,I found out that my sunglasses were missing. God alone knows how can a valet parking person do something like this to their customers????

Amazing food and friendly staff. We ordered all in one partha, palak paneer paratha, palak pyaz pudina tamatar paratha, paneer bhuna masala, chole khulcha, daal makhani and daal tadkewali. Each and every item was amazing.

Visited this place yesterday .... sabjiii were great...<br/>Starters were really good... naan were bit too crispy and cold. They need to be soft ...<br/>Must visit ....

We ordered quite a few parathas there. It was too delicious. I could take only 2 photos on my phone because my phone battery was dead.!<br/>But the place is just amazing. Also the staff is so good there.

The food here is really great! Definitely worth a shot and it has a really nice seating with all the punjabi feels!

Located on the first floor of a commercial building it offers average ambiance, descent food and excellent service. They carry their paratha legacy very well. Would recommend it without hesitation.<br/>

We had gone with high expectations and all our expectations were met with. We ordered:<br/>- Makai cheese De kabab<br/>- Tikka Paneer<br/>- Pyaz aalo da paratha<br/>- Hydrabadi Dum Biryani<br/>- Sauf da sharbat<br/>- Shikanji<br/><br/>They need to work on the portion size of the startes as that was the only thing we felt was not value for money, It was an overall amazing experience.

What an authentic North Indian food!!! Especially the Lassi... smooth... awesome range of starters, chaat, main dishes, and yes one of the very few places where you can find Chapati like home... definitely worth visiting as much time as can... even I’ve planned to visit there thrice...
Ujjwal Khetan
Food is good. Recommended to those whole love Dhaba style punjabi. <br/>Must have Patiyala lassi. <br/>For those who don’t have spicy food, please specify that as the food is little bit spicy.
Rima Sheth
Nice restaurant.. less crowded even on Sundays! But taste of food is very nice! If you love punjabi chatpata and tasty spicy food this is the place for u! If u can’t eat spicy food than let them tell in advance or you won’t be able to eat! Taste of punjabi subjis are too good!
Purva Gevaria
Food service ambiance quality is perfect . Staff behaviour is good . You will get quick service. Must order patiyalla lassi . Good food quality and tests is good. Ambiance is pretty good .

If you love good Punjabi food then this is the place for you to enjoy authentic north Indian food.<br/>They have added extra flavor by preparing all dishes from organic vegies.<br/>I am going jassi da parantha since 2009 but this new venture is one step ahead then the previous one.<br/>I can see the tremendous improvement they have done in their food and services.<br/>
Bhavesh Parmar
They have the best Mango Lassi, but in the menu it wasn't mentioned. I ordered Lassi and mentioned Mango Lassi in Request. They delivered Simple Lassi. Disappointed.
Shailen Patel
Tasty food served. But I felt the quantity served was too less. Not even sufficient for two people. They should work on it. Overall ambience is great and staff is very polite.

One of the must visit places for authentic Punjabi food lovers!! Even the simple delicacies like Pindi Cholle are awesome it's been very long since I had this good Pindi cholle, along with great hospitality and friendly staff. Indeed a very nice experience!

As it is the venture of jassi de parathe it's in must visit list.. And it was pleasure enjoying their hospitality.. Thier lassi and namak pare di chaat was simply amazing.. The interior gave perfect dhaba style feelinf

There are a very few restaurants that offer the authentic taste of North Indian food with perfect blend of spice and aroma. This place is one of the rare ones. Anyone who wishes to have a deliciously cooked meal with the best ambience and extremely courteous staff should not miss the opportunity. Make sure to take the advice of the staff on what to order. They know what they’re talking about.

After seeing the name Jassi, the very first thing that came into my mind was the menu and was hoping it should not be the same. Has good new varieties of main course and starters. Paratha was common except for the size.<br/>Channa masala chart is a must try starter.<br/>I would rate this place 5/5 for ambience, 4/5 for food and 5/5 for service.

I visited 1st tym here wid my job partners. As i taste the food found amazing. It was like real taste of punjab. Was better than ither restaurant. Wish to visit here again.

Yet another place in the crowd that is now SBR, the ambience does impress one to begin with but as soon as you sit, you find that unless you're sitting on one of the sofas, it's not very comfortable cause the metal on the backrest of their chairs, pokes you constantly. The staff is kind of trained but lacks finesse. The menu isn't quite extensive so that is good but the food failed to impress. It is like any other punjabi restaurant tbh. Nothing new or out of the ordinary. And by out of the ordinary I am just referring to the flavours. Ordered lasuni paneer which lacked both garlic and the seasoning. The dal tadka was covered in oil to begin with so that also did not impress. The dahi wadas were dry on the inside and the chaas like the trend calls for, was served in a glass bottle. All in all, a decent place that can do well albeit with a bit of improvement in all the corners.
Kshitij Parmar
I went today for a dinner at this new out let by Jassi de parathe and I was extremely disappointed.<br/><br/>Ambience is average and nothing extraordinary here.<br/><br/>About food I had very high expectations from them and being different from normal Jassi de parathe nomenclature, expectations were raised due to different concept.<br/><br/>I ordered the best paratha suggested by them which is named as All in one Paratha in which they told it will have stuffings of all the stuffings they use in different kinds of paratha and being all in one, it must have had all the ingredients in it to be a blockbuster item. Sadly, it turned out to be very disappointing paratha, for size it was of normal round roti size with hardly any thickness and hence there was hardly any stuffing in to it and it was given with Dahi and Makhan. As there was no enough and proper stuffings inside, it was very horrible and didn't justify its name or its price tag.<br/><br/>I also ordered the Paneer Lasuni Kulcha, now the dough they used to made this was of used to make Puris of chanapuri so it was very oily and crispy and not as normal regular kulcha. There was no abundance of stuffings inside and stuffing was hardly to name it as stuffing. Once again the dough they used and oiliness and lack of stuffing made it very disappointing. It also didn't justify its price tag.<br/><br/>There are many better parathas and kulchas available at very reasonable price than this in Ahmedabad and one must give preference to them over this outlet.<br/><br/>In one word "Disappointed" and would not recommend it at all.<br/><br/>1 star only because that's the lowest we can give on zomato.
How I Met My Food
We really had high expectations before visiting this restaurant. But unfortunately, our expectations were not met. We were 4 people for dinner. We ordered dahi bhalla chaat, dal tadka, paneer lasooni with Indian breads. The bhallas were dry and the curd was not cold enough. Paneer lasuni did not have lasan (garlic) at all. Dal tadka was way too oily. Laschcha parathas were very sweet and garlic naan was way too crispy and "hard". We tried really hard to chew the naan. <br/><br/>We were so disappointed with the food even after the manager took the subji after our feedback and served us again. If Jassi de parathe started this new outlet which is bigger and better then they should serve the food accordingly as well.
Amrit Singh
This place has a nice ethnic setting. I really loved the atmosphere, and also the service was adequate.<br/>Now, about the food, it was alright. Some dishes were good, others, not so. I really liked Dal Makhani and Lassi was delicious too, But Aloo Gobhi and Paneer paratha were not up to my expectation. Missed that Punjabi richness, one expects from a Jassi De Parathe outlet.<br/>But overall experience was not too bad. Hence the 4 stars....

Kullad dahi and Makhan hv taken to to childhood<br/>Love the ambience and service.they serve healthy food.bhuna masala sabjis are something different u can't find anywhere else

Amazing food had parathe ,pustaini food ,and aaj ka khaas .parathas are as usual good but winner is pushtaini khana which is made in live kitchen on chulha .aaj kha khaas also good we had arbi ki sabji
Arvind Patel
its was great experience we had pushtaini khana and aaj ka khaas food it was great. they use organic ingredients its great. also made food with old tradition on chulha by using mortar and pestle
Nikita Jani
I was there on Sunday afternoon & was full on hungry. Post wntering i Felt like i was at a famous punjabi restaurant like haveli which serves authenticate punjabi food..... the pushtaini cooked food. Lovely place to be for food, fun & gathering. Highly recommending.
Mayank Shah
The place is not value for money. I have paid far more at many other places in the city and got really good food there. They claim to be keeping the authenticity of the cusine intact and letting the ingredients talk instead of spice etc etc. But if you cannot make a proper sole satisfying Daal or a properly stuffed paratha, everything else does't matter. I would rather go to Punjab-Malwa instead of wasting my money here
Sharayu Shinde
Homely food and lovely ambience. Visit them if you are looking for authentic pushthani khana. The combos are a must try though the quantity is a bit less but the taste compensates for everything

The ambiance was settling and the food was ravishing. The service was continuous and the providers were very polite. Recommendations were on point and overall was great.

Its serves authentic punjabi food. Taste is good. Its servers authentic food. Ambiance is really good . But need to increase more options . The service is really nice.<br/><br/>The only suggestion is use less oil in sabzi & dal.<br/><br/>Taste -3.5/5<br/>Service - 5/5<br/>Ambiance-5/5<br/><br/>Defina

So it has been a long time since I have had North Indian cuisine, and I mean actually ghar ke khane wala taste ( the one which is like the food from my punjabi friends tiffin box in college).<br/><br/>Punjabiyat is a much welcome change in terms of taste and ambience. What makes them stand out is their clay pot cooking style.<br/><br/>Talking about the food they serve, it will be an aquired taste so if you are fond of the Gujju version of panner bhurji and a cheese butter masala fan you might be disappointed. For me the rotis and the parathas could have been better but the paneer bhurji did win my heart.<br/><br/>So all in all it was a soothing experience because of the great company I had but if I exclude that it was just above average.<br/><br/>I would recommend you this place for the NRI members of your family but if you looking to please a date you might wanna give me a call for better suggestions.<br/><br/>Thank you for reading<br/>The Tummy Man

Visited this place on a sunday evening for dinner. We were a total of 6 people.<br/>Ambience of the place is very nice and the interior is also very good, very subtle but still a nice charm to it. Also the place had low noise levels unlike other restaurants and the seating arrangement was lavish and not very crammed.<br/>Coming to the food, we ordered dahi ke kebab and masala papad for starters. Dahi ke kebab were very delicate and the salad served with it was very tasty. But the dahi kebabs were a bit spicy and high on pepper. This was the case with all items. Everything was very spicy.<br/>Coming to main course we ordered paneer tikka masala, dal makhni, pakoda kadi, aloo pyaaz parantha, patiyala lassi, rice. Paneer tikka masala and patiyala lassi were very nice but the dal and parantha were very spicy. Also the pakoda kadi was very different from the one we are used to having at the old jassi restaurant. Even the rice were a bit raw.<br/><br/>We were very disappointed with the food.<br/><br/>Food : 2/5<br/>Ambience: 5/5

This place was recommended by a friend of mine, and obviously the ambiance just got all my attention at first place. Just loved it. <br/>The entire time at Punjabiyat is more about the experience they give you, the floor sitting arrangement gives the authentic touch of Punjab and still the place is very spacious. We tried multiple items at this place. They serve the authentic cuisine of Punjab with the same taste of homeland and honestly it is so hard to find these days. They have exceeded my expectations with food! <br/>- Besan di barfi and Matka Rabdi was perfect. So homely taste and yet so beautifully presented.<br/>  <br/>- Shakarkandi di chaat: the same old Ghar ka potato chaat with pomegranates on top with good quantity. <br/><br/>- Dum Biryani - One of the best biryani we had in long long time. it was a surprise how they have maintained authentic dum biryani cooked with the roti on top to keep the aroma and flavours within the rice. Try it and you won't regret it. <br/><br/>- Paneer Lasanwala and Phulka roti was again one of the best I had so far. The phulka roti was freshly made and when it was served it was still puffed. <br/><br/>- Highly recommended for the authentic food and ambiance and the great experience.

Authentic Punjabi khanna is their speciality. I loved the pushtani khana. The Dum biryani is a must try.<br/>The place is beautiful designed and is a must go in Ahmedabad

I must say, Jassi De Parathe has upscaled themselves amazingly well with this new premium outlet.<br/>Quirky decor and a precise menu works wonders.<br/>Splendid spread of food they have. We tried:<br/><br/>Dahi Ka Shorba: A mild but flavourful nice bowl of goodness.<br/><br/>Tandoor Gobhi: highly recommended! Nicely marinated gobi and skewered in the tandoor giving a smokey flavour was amazing!<br/><br/>Shakarkand ki chaat: not a fan of shakarkand, but this was a good chaat!<br/><br/>Chole Paneer Sabji with Tawa Roti: after a long time, I have had some good chole at a nice place.<br/><br/>Mutter Paneer With Roti, Mushroom Mutter ki sabji, Paneer Bhurji with brown bread were good dishes and well prepared.<br/><br/>Dum Biryani: a must try! You wont regret this.<br/><br/>Thandi Kheer and Besan di barfi for desserts were a perfect end to the wonderful meal.<br/><br/>Well trained staff and quick service gets brownie points too.<br/>

Food - Fantastic! we went with the recommendation of the staff and it was brilliant.<br/>Service - Perfect! Quick service and impeccably polite staff.

An Indian Cuisine finedine, Punjabiyat is the venture by Jassi De Parathe. Being a fan of Jassi's food, we decided to drop in over here.<br/><br/>First of all, the ambience is very tastefully done. The ambience has a balance between both traditional and modern culture. The sitting consists of both normal sitting and floor sitting which gives you a traditional feel. Colours are nicely used.<br/><br/>The restaurant has a live kitchen wherein you could see your food being freshly prepared on charcoals. The restaurant uses organic ingredients only which makes the food very healthy and light on your stomach.<br/><br/>We tried a number of items like :<br/><br/>dahi da shorba: Traditionally and normally known as Kadhi, this one was quite tangy and may not go well with everyone.<br/><br/>tandoor gobhi: tasted amazing and one of the best dish we had over here.<br/><br/>shakarkandi chaat: Chaat made up of sweet potato. Nicely made and Quantity served is enough for two.<br/><br/>In pushtaini khana we ordered the following:<br/><br/>Chole paneer sabji with tawa roti<br/>Mutter paneer with roti<br/>Mushrooms mutter<br/><br/>Each subji was very well made and rotis freshly made. The quantity is quite enough and justifies the pricing.<br/><br/>We also tried paneer bhurji with brown bread which is paneer bhurji made with freshly made paneer. The Paneer was again freshly made and one could surely feel it.<br/><br/>Lastly we had Dum Biryani. Surely one of the best biryani I had in long time.<br/>Ended the meal with thandi kheer and besan di barfi. My favourite of all was besan di barfi which is normally known as mohanthal.<br/><br/>Overall a different and great experience.

If you want to experience Punjab and have a fulfilling meal, visit Punjabiyat! The aesthetics of the place are mesmerising. The best part about the menu is aaj ka Khas and pushtani khana. Prices are a bit steep but worth it.

Comfort food at it's finest 😍<br/><br/>Recently visited this new place. Being a venture of Jassi De Paranthe, they have maintained the taste and quality of the franchise.<br/><br/>Being a Punjabi I'd really recommend to visit this place if you want to taste a traditional Punjabi cuisine.<br/><br/>The ambience is really rich with artistic and vintage vibes.<br/>Ground as well as table seating is available.<br/><br/>Having plenty of north indian dishes and a wide range of paranthas, they serve shorba as well along with traditional desserts.<br/><br/>Although I ain't a mushroom lover but their mushroom matar is worth appreciating.<br/><br/>Their besan ki barfi made me remember of the dessert my mom used to make.<br/><br/>Apart from this, their matar paneer, paneer bhurji I found best to taste.<br/><br/>Overall it's one of the perfect places to have a family dinner but the price is a little bit on the higher side.<br/>But if you want to give your taste buds a gift then do pay a visit here.<br/>

Punjabiyat is a place which will give you very artistic and vintage vibes courtesy of the interior, ambiance and the crockery. There are multiple seating options and it's very spacious. <br/><br/>We ordered the following:<br/><br/>Dahi da shorba: it's a hot kadhi but it was spicy and not thick, I didn't like it much. <br/><br/>Tandoori gobi: A delicious cauliflower prep served with coal to maintain the flavor and aroma, it was amazing. <br/><br/>Shakarkandi di chaat: A sweet potato chaat, little chaat masala and pomegranate. Even the quantity is enough for two. Loved it.<br/><br/>Pushtaini khana are meal options, a gravy with rotis/naan along with a small salad as a side. <br/>We tried the following:<br/>Chole paneer sabji with tawa roti <br/>Mutter paneer with roti <br/>Mushrooms mutter <br/><br/>I'm not a mushroom fan but this one tasted so good in their brown gravy, never tried chole paneer together but it was also pretty amazing. <br/><br/>The gravies are a little on the thin side not like we are used to having in restaurants.<br/><br/>We also tried paneer bhurji with brown bread which was something unique, I never had that in a restaurant but it wasn't dry like it sounds, I recommend it.<br/><br/>Dum Biryani was again a pleasant surprise, authentic dum biryani cooked with the roti on top to keep the aroma and flavors within the rice, it was mouthwatering.<br/><br/>We also tried Thandi Kheer, I really liked it. Not sure about the quantity.<br/><br/>The besan di barfi was kind of like the gujrati sweet magas, quite heavy and a befitting end to a meal. Although I'd prefer the kheer over it. <br/><br/>Over all its a great place for a family dinner but the prices are a little on the higher side given the quantity. Gotta try the parathas next time but I'm sure they'll be great given the Jassi de Parathe name.

Punjabiyat by jassi de parathe, as the name suggests is a dedicated food joint serving authentic Punjabi cuisine. The place specialises in this and calls itself serving one of the most authentic dishes from the Punjab.<br/>The ambience is really rich and surely gives a fine dine feel. It has both ground as well as on the table seating. The menu is vast and has a lot to offer from parathas to mini meals.<br/>We tried :<br/><br/>Dahi ka shorba : Does not suit everyone's pallate. Pretty similar to kadhi - 2.5/5<br/><br/>Tandoori Gobi - Excellent taste and cooked perfectly in tandoor - 5/5<br/><br/>Shakarkandi chaat - Chaat made from sweet potato. Went well with the soup. Worth a try - 4/5<br/><br/>Chole Paneer with Tawa chapati : Delicious black Chole with soft Paneer cubes. This one was really authentic and tasty - 4/5<br/><br/>Mutter paneer with Roti : Authentic mutter gravy served with a couple of rotis. The taste was really impressive and gravy for surely tasty - 4/5<br/><br/>Paneer Bhurji with brown bread : A unique combination but really tasty. Paneer Bhurji was really tasty and went well with the buttery breads - 4/5<br/><br/>Mushrooms mutter : Mushroom slices diced in mutter gravy. This one was served with Tandoori roti - 4/5<br/><br/>Dum Biryani - A perfectly cooked Biryani with proper dum. The gravy tasted just perfect - 4/5<br/><br/>Besan di barfi - My favourite of the day. This one was really similar to what we have it at home with balanced sweetness - 5/5<br/><br/>Thandi kheer - Chilled version of kheer with plenty of dry fruits - 3/5<br/><br/>Overall this place surely differentiates itself from a lot of joints serving Punjabi food. The ingredients and spices used here are authentic and fresh. We were also told by the manager that the Paneer used in all gravy was really fresh and we could surely feel it. They also have a live kitchen where in you can see your dish being prepared.<br/>

This is a new restaurant from Jassi de Parathe and has lots of varieties for north Indian food lovers, right from chats to desserts. We ordered many things from the menu like Aloo tikki chat, daal baati, amritsari paratha, paneer sabji, missi roti, chaas, biryani, chaas. The highlight was phulka roti which were served hot. Staff and service was good. If you are looking for decent north Indian meal, this place is a must visit.

The ambience and background music is good. Gives feeling of real Punjab. The food is tasty. Bhindi masala, lassi and kheer are must to try. Tomato shorba was little oily and little spicy. Rest all was good. The best part is the food tastes like home cooked and do not give heaviness or over eaten feeling after the meal as compared to rest North Indian food restaurants. Must try once!

Very Nice ambience...Food was very tasty awesome!!. I ordered shorba dal dhaniya sorba was very nice bit spicy. If you gyus would like to try other than parathas then dahi da kabab, palak biryani, rabadi and gajar ka halwa must try.<br/>Staff was decent abd service was good. Only subji are bit oily but as the concept is to serve traditional so it is granted...😀<br/>So must try and wish to repeat again.<br/>But keep in mind that its little bit expensive

I love Jassi Da Paratha & hence went to this newly opened Punjabiyat by Jassi De Parathe! The decor is very nice. Seevice is good too. It has lot of choices in north Indian food & different types of parathas. Shorbas are good & they also have traditional desserts! Only suggestion is the amount of oil should be significantly reduced in subjis & every dish is too spicy!

Jassi De Parathe took their legacy successfully forward by opening Punjabiyat at Sindhu Bhavan Road.<br/>The place has an outstanding ambience and the down sitting area is ultimate.<br/>Coming to the food, their Pushtaini Khana is worth trying and is made in live open kitchen.<br/>This place is definitely recommended and people will love the food as well as the setup.
