"Mount Everest" in Prahladnagar is a must visit place for indo-chinese cuisine.
AMBIENCE:
The ambience of the place is pretty straightforward. It makes it look like a family restaurant.
FOOD;
• Karari Rumali Roti:
Karari Rumali Roti is also famous as lamboo roti.
It is served with butter at top garnised with chat masala, rock salt and coriander. Here it was served with green chutney.
crispy and delicious.
Mount Everest Special Chinese Soup:
(highly recommended)
This soup was made by combining ingredients such as vegetables, soy sauce ,vinegar ,garlic ,chilli
etc and the best thing about this soup was the spicy dumpling which was served with it.
There is nothing as good as soup when you are tired of eating fast food.
Mount Everest Special Chinese Soup will give your taste buds a different experience all together.
Hara Bhara Kabab
A delicious starter made with spinach potatoes and green peas served beautifully with salad and green chutney. They are char grilled and give out a crispy taste
•Paneer Lababdar
Soft and silky paneer cubes cooked in a spicy tomato and fresh cream gravy with butter sautéd onions and various other tangy spices
which compliments the taste of paneer embellised with slice of tomato, yellow capcicum and cream.
Vegetable Maharani
Vegetable Maharani is a slighly sweet creamy dish of vegetables prepared by mixing of fresh butter into tomato based curry.
it leaves a taste of Cashew nuts.
Nawabi Biryani
A scrumptious biryani with peas potatoes onion and spices served with along with raita is a must try dish.
Though it lacked the spice factor.
Really nice food, good service with average ambience... overall nice experience...not so expensive restaurant....budget friendly.....definitely recommend to visit 1 more time

Fantastic &delicious food & a very good service and the starters were really tasty awsome deserts , good atmosphere , you must visit the place once if I visit once u will not go to any other place
Mt. Everest is cocktail of chinese with some punjabi food. This move is suggestive of an appropriate response to amdavadis and their taste of food.
Coming from a background of Indian origin of sizzler, I.e. Mumbai/Pune, I,m slightly disappointed with the same, but can’t expect anything more I guess.
The complimentary rumaali khaakhra makes you start believing in the warmth of their hospitality, a free brownie after this review, makes you delighted even further !
Would like to visit again !
Cheers :)

Following were the dishes we had, ranging from appetizers to dessert:
• Karari Roomali- who doesn't know the all famous spherical king of papads? A perfect appetizer.4/5
• Everest Special Soup- Mix lentil stockwater with dumplings. The quantity was good too.4/5
• Dahi Kebabs- Very creative. This was the best out of everything. Just the crispiness of the kebabs would've made it even better. 4.5/5
• Schezwan Cottage Cheese- Just as the name suggests, Cottage Cheese tossed in Schezwan sauce. 3.5/5
• Paneer Pahadi- Cube paneer pieces in green gravy. 2.5/5
• Veg Kadhai- Diced vegetables in rich red tomato gravy. 3.5/5
• Dessert- Gulab Jamun. 4.5/5
- Ambience- Cosy turquoise blue interior. 4/5
- Service- This was a downgrade. The stewards had to be called repeatedly because they paid no attention. 2/5
Overall- 3.5/5
Recommendations- Starters are a must try here.

Awesome food & service.....Everest special sizzler is awesome....must place to visit.....environment created by them with music, lightings n all is also Great.
Very good food , good ambience , enough parking, choice of Punjabi , Chinese, maxican with desert. panner items are good in numbers. Quick service
to be “Indo-Chinese”. So what’s the difference between this and the several. others already existing players in the market? Well, quite a lot!. First things first. The parking. here is ample on weekdays but given the number of restaurants in the vicinity,. it becomes a task on the weekends. But if you are willing to walk for say 30
New place alert
Simple Ambience
Good food
Value for money
They serve complimentary kurkari roti
We had
1. Tandoori platter 4.5/5 a must have
2. Panner kurchan 3.5/5 taste was good little bit oily
3 veg kadai 4.45/5
4. Dal fry 4/5
Will sure visit next tym for sure..
One spl mention :had friendly conversation with owner 👍
Well please dont judge me on the choice of my menu today but i wanted to try different different things.
For starter i ordered traditional spring rolls, amazing it was perfect (i rarely come across the perfect spring rolls here) and dip which was yummy too.
Then we ordered garlic naan with desi vilayti sabzi which was equally delicious.
All i can say i will be going again soon to order the rest of things on the menu.
And the other plus point staff is friendly and its neat and clean . But but all i am worried about is usually the restaurants are very neat in the beginning but after sometime they cant keep up and maintain the same taste and cleaniness.I hope this one doesnt looses it!
We were invited there for food tasting. Thank you Mrunalini Gonsai .😊
When you heard the name "mount Everest"" you expect something different but there's nothing difference, its just like some ordinary punjabi restaurant.
We loved the starters. Cottage cheese chilly, hara bhara kabab and dahi ke kabab.
Dahi ke kabab were so good (must must have).
Spinach soup was so good. I've never tasted something like that before. That was so creamy and cheesy.
We loved main course too.
Overall it was good experience. I'll surely visit it again.
The Newly opend Restaurant perfct for Family .
It was Nicely Furnished with Turqouise coloured Furniture, It was Beautifully Organised Dinner by Mrunalini Gonsai ,
We had Everest spcl Soup I personally loved the soup as I dont like soups and from soup to dessert from Service to Food Quality it was amazing expirence there.
Specially the Sweet Named ‘Darson’ which was handmade fried Noodles sauted in Honey and seasme seeds and served with a vanilla scoop.
Thank you so much for organising such a amazing Food Meet @Mrunalini Gonsai
I had a lovely evening with few of the food bloggers. It was hosted by Mrunalini Gonsai.
It is a very decent and nice place with simple but beautiful interior. I think they can do something even more better with the decor.
We were served very well with food.
Starting with karari roomali roti which is a tasty timepass snack with chutney. Then i had their everest special soup. I rarely like soup but i tried it here and it was very flavourful and it’s a must try. Then coming to starters, we had hara bhara kebab and paneer chilli. Kebab tasted good with chutney but taste would be better with some improvisation. Paneer chilli was very delicious with amazing soft paneer. Coming to main meal, we were served with 2 of their dishes which were veg maharani and paneer lababdar. Both the dishes had slightly the same taste but it was being cooked in different recipe. Paneer lababdar was better as per my taste palate. Then coming to nawabi biryani, it had less spices due to which it didn’t appeal me enough. It was cooked really nicely in curd with patience but it didn’t have much flavours of salt or spice. In the end about dessert, we had their dessert dish called, “darson” which is basically honey combed snack with a scoop of ice cream. It was average. Overall, It was like a Proper way to fill your stomach with such amazing food.
I was invited for menu tasting by Mrunalini Gonsai and my experience turned out to be a great one. This place offers the most authentic indo-chinese I have had till date.
We started our meal with the much known Karari Roomali Roti (4.75/5). It was as big as a tawa and was crisped to perfection. Sprinkled flavourfully with the perfect blend of Chaat Masala, Rock Salt and Red Chilli Powder! It was served with chutney which made it worth every bite!
After that we had their Mount Everest Special Soup (4.8/5). I must say though I am not much a big fan of soups but I absolutely loved this one! This was one of the most authentic Chinese flavoured soup I have ever had. Unlike other soups, this one didn’t have any kind of false feel of food colours and vinegar. The spicy dumpling went perfect with the soup having a mild taste of broccoli, baby corn and all other Chinese veggies!
Then we had Hara Bhara Kebab (4/5) and these are one of my fav kebabs but I like them at a very few places due to texture variations. Mount Everest is definitely another addition to having good Hara Bhara Kebabs!
Kebabs were followed by Paneer Chilli Dry (4.25/5) and unlike other places, these had the perfect blend of sauces and spices. The paneer was soft and such good flavoured paneer chilly dry I got to eat after ages!
For maincourse, we had Veg. Makhani (3.5/5) and Paneer Lawabdar (4/5). Veg Makhani was good and had a mild kind of taste. The veggies were tender and soft. But I liked the paneer one more than that. The paneer was soft and the taste was good. Kulchas served along had good texture.
To make a flavourful end to the maincourse, we had Nawab Biryani (3.5/5). For me, it was kinda okayish, it was loaded with garam masalas and I personally don’t like hard tastes such as this. Though the raita as an accompaniment made it much better. Though it was good but the rice texture was something I didn’t like. It wasn’t soft as it ought to be.
Ended the meal with traditional Chinese dessert, Darson (4/5). It was honeyed noodles sprinkled with sesame seeds and vanilla icecream.
The ambience looked pretty with turquoise couches and decent lights. The service was good. Nothing in specific.
Taste:- 4.25/5
Service:- 3.75/5
Ambience:- 4/5
So , I was invited by Mrunalini Gonsai , to review this place..

4.7/5
3. Dahi kebab
Not a fan of them , but after having these I am a fan now . Just order this you will never regret
5/5
4. Dry red chilli cottage cheese
A Chinese starter , good in taste , had perfectly diced panner cubes and vegetables.
4/5
5. Pahadi Paneer & kadhai Paneer
This was paneer in green gravy. I didnt like it that much. The other one was in brown gravy , smooth ,buttery.
3/5
6. Dal makhani
This was a bit on the sour side, I guess too much of tomato puree .
2.5/5
Over all rating : 4/5
A perfect Indo- Chinese Restaurant.
Most Recommended : 1) Dahi Kebabs . The taste was mild and subtle yet innovative.
2) Vegetable Biryani with Raita
It had perfectly cooked rice with spices.
Other things we tried was :
# Schezwan Cottage Cheese : Cottage cheese was very fresh and soft. It tastes perfect ! Wasn't very spicy or too mild .
#Paneer Musallam : This was something new to us.
#Chilly Garlic Noodles : Noodle lovers would surely love this. If you are a garlic fan, just go for it !
Overall Experience : 3.5/5

With the increasing love for food, the love for new cafes and restaurants are increasing in no time. Every new month, the city has a new place with so much innovation and newness and this time it was "Mount Everest". The newly opened family restaurant located in the hub of food, Prahalad Nagar. They aim to serve an authentic indo-chinese cuisine.
The ambience is a semi formal seating with the use of vibrant colours blue and grey. The ambience is not fancy which gives it a soothing comfort in order to give it a feeling of a family restaurant.
Dude, what about the food?
We had a soup to dessert meal, starting from the Karari roomali roti to the ice cream. The karari roomali roti made it a complete meal, it is a crispy bread right from the north india accompnied with mint chutney. Moving towards the soup and starters, they were absolutely yum. The new and unheard dish was Dahi Kabab which was crispy from the out and was soft and melting from the inside. The dahi filling was something so different. The Hara bhara Kabab amd Paneer chilly authentic in their taste. The main course was great as well. Paneer Mughlani had a strong taste which people who love strong spices might opt for. The biryani was absolutely heaven, finely cooked rice with bang on taste. Overall the food experience was simple yet amazing
Service on it's peak?
Yeah, the service is amazing. You will not regret.

A decent restaurant for family dinner place. It offers numerous combo fixed meal deals which is better for a joint family or large get to gathers. Not the best place if reviewed in taste segment still a decent one.
New place in town 💃
@mounteverest
These indo-chinese restaurant newly open at prahladnagar for all the chinese and indian lovers the place was good enough as there "blue sofa's" warms your eyes and ambience was pretty simple. The meet was organised by @hungryinsan 😊 We were invited for the food tasting and reviews !
We started our lunch with
1. karari roomali roti as we all know it is basic munching before starter which was crisp and tasted like "khakhra" tastes good (4/5)
2. The hot an sour soup and cream of spinach soup.Hot and sour soup was thick ,spicy ,sour and vegatables with taste of soya which was perfect combination of chinese. Cream of spinach was flavour of spinach with creamy cheese was average in taste and it was bit more cheesy . So overall for both soup 3.5/5
3. Then it comes starters the most awaited thing everyone waits for . We had paneer chilly dry , harabhara kebabs and dahi kebabs. Out of the three our favourite was dahi kebabs which was actually good it Dahi was stuffed inside the kebabs which actually tasted awesome . It was must must try kebabs!🤤
4. Main course- We were served Two sabjis - Paneer musallam and veg kadhai served with butter roti. Spices and veggies was properly mixed and over all it was good in taste(3.5/5). Also we had Chilli garlic noodles which were average in taste ,we didnt like it much (2/5). Also we had Biryani which was cooked with perfection of all spices and vegetables one of our favourite from the menu served with raita(4/5)
5. And the last it comes desserts which i guess was not upto the mark and what we expected . We was served vanilla icecream that sounded like no dessert to me .
So overall it was good experience at mount everest and it was fun with the other food bloggers. Thank you Mrunalini Gonsai for having us and inviting us for the foodbloggersmeet
New place coming up nearby and had delivery at home. Being a delivery order ambience doesn't matter , service has been on time ,packaging was neat and proper.
Food :
1. Manchow soup : Good in taste, balanced use of soya sauce , noodles crisp and well fried.
2. Mexican roll : Mix of beans and sauted vegetables rolled up in roomali roti and served with mayo dip. Filing was good but roti wasn't roast well.
3. Crispy veg : Routine Chinese preparation with pieces of baby corn and cauliflower . Preparation has been good.
4. Penne pasta with pesto sauce : Best of all dishes ordered. Pasta well cooked , pesto sauce nice , making perfect balance of taste.
Overall good experience , recommended for Chinese and Continental ones. Looking for dine in especially for Indian dishes.
This new restaurant is an ideal place for a weekend lunch with your friends or family. They serve some innovative starters, Chinese and Continental dishes. They have many different options when it comes to North Indian cuisine.
Dahi kebabs are a must try! 😍
Thanks for Mrunalini Gonsai ❣️
As the name suggests its an Indo-Chinese restaurant. The interior is quite simple and the aqua coloured walls looked pretty neat. The menu is elaborate so we asked for the recommendations from them. We wanted to try their Indian food.
Their special karari roomali is huge and tasted amazing. Full marks to the presentation. We tried burmese soup and cream of tomato soup. I must say both the soups were excellent. The tandoori platter - everest special starter consisted of hara bhara kebab, stuffed capsicum, paneer tikka, raja kebab and stuffed potato. It is definitely a must try. In the main course we tried paneer khurchan and veg. kofta. Paneer khurchan in red gravy didn’t taste good. Veg. kofta was very well made and that is a dish you must order here if you’re planning to eat indian cuisine. Surprisingly the tandoori roti lacked a bit of salt and that’s wierd because i have never faced anything wrong with indian breads. So we gave this feedback and we were assured that they will check it with the chef. This is the attitude required as the restaurant has to take feedbacks with a positive frame of mind as there is always a scope of improvement. In the dessert we tried the fried choco lava rolls with vanilla ice cream. It was a good way to end the meal on a sweeter note.
The staff was courteous and polite and with minor changes i am sure this restaurant will also be crowded in the future.
Munchtoomunch (Mini Choudhary)

With so many new cafeish conceptualised places opened in Ahmedabad, this kind of a decent family restaurant was much needed as we all need to hangout at places where good Indian and Chinese food is available, typically the kind of food preferred for family outings. Guess what, this new place is perfect for such an occasion or even Corporate dinner and meetings.
Ambience (3.5/5) of this restaurant is very decent and seating arrangement is good. The vibe of it could be enhanced by nice and attractive wall posters or adding some element to the walls as it appears a bit empty.
But the best part is the food (4.2/5)
Beginning with soup and starters-Karari Rumali - kind of a mandatory starter for every family outings, it’s crunchy and served with a nice green chutney.
Everest special soup- now this is the highlight of the entire meal. Literally the best and delicious soup I have had in a long time. It contains a dumpling with which it needs to be sipped along with other nicely chopped veggies. I relished this one totally and would highly recommend everyone to order this for sure.
Hara bhara kabab- good in taste. We all have pretty much had this starter at every restaurant and this is again how usually it tastes.
Paneer chili dry- again a nicely served and delicious in taste food item.
.
Coming to the main course-
Paneer lawabdar- this is a great dish for spicy food lovers like me.Veg Makhani- the gravy of it closely tasted similar to the paneer lawabdar but contained the element of makhanas over it. For less to medium spice lovers, this is a great dish.Nawabi Biryani was prepared in white gravy and chopped onions and paste of garlic. It’s again a very good dish served with Raita and would be loved by the ones who like their meal to be less spicy.Lastly coming to dessert-
Darson was served: this contains a scoop of vanilla ice cream and what made it different than usual desserts was an addition of what we call in Hindi “Shakar-para” tossed in honey and sesame clung to it. It was a new concept so should be given a try for those who have major sweet tooth

Mount Everest
Food:-4/5
Ambience:-3.5/5
Service:-4/5
This is newly open place which serves awesome North Indian and Chinese food.
Coming to the food:-
At first we were served with karari roomali roti as this was crunchy and can surely replace papad in terms of biting.
Soup:-
Mount Everest special Chinese soup(4.5/5):-By far the best Chinese soup with a spicy twist of dumpling added to it. This is must try.
Starter:-
Paneer Chilli and hara bhara kabab(4/5):- Both the starter were amazingly good and perfect in taste as well.
Main course:-
Paneer lawabdar(4/5):- perfectly maintained the taste of spice and sweet.
Veg. Maharani(4/5):-Small pieces vegetable sabji with great taste as well.
Nawabi biryani(3.5/5):-As this was slightly lacked in spicy taste though not that bad.
Desert:-
Darson(3.5/5);-An authentic Chinese desert contains noodles tossed in honey and sesame served with vanilla ice cream.
Overall a good place to have a family dinner and have some mouth watering food:)
This location is easy to locate as it is just across the main road and the commercial complex has many restaurants so it is not a problem!
Moving on towards the Ambience,
The ambience is designed to make it look like a diner.
Turquoise blue leather seats and chairs and comfortable seating arrangements around. Simple and posh! (4/5)
For food we were served,
Karaari Roomali Roti: This appetizers is always welcome. It was so yummy and served with fresh chutney. Loved it! (4/5)
For soup we had
Everest Special Chinese Soup: This soup was probably the best Chinese Soup I have ever had.
They had this dumpling inside which was very spicy.
Loved it (4.5/5)
For starters,
We had Hara Bhara Kabab and Paneer Chilly Dry.
Hara Bhara Kabab: I am not a huge fan of Kababs, but it was nice (3.5/5)
Paneer Chilly Dry,
Properly sauted Paneer with vegetables in the sauce. Extremely soft and fresh. (4.25/5)
For Main Course, We had Indian.
The sabji's served were
Veg. Maharani: It was a all vegetable sabji with the Indian Tomato Gravy topped with Makahanas and a little sweet on the inside (3.5/5)
Paneer Lababdar:
Again extremely soft Paneer in Tomato Gravy with the perfect amount of Sweet and Spice.
This one was a plus one for me (4/5)
Navabi Biryani:
This Rice dish lacked a bit of spice factor but on the other hand presented well and tasted good. (3.75/5)
For Desserts;
We were served the authentic chinese dessert: Darson.
Flat noodles tossed in Honey and Sesame with Vanilla Icecream.
Hot and cold together.
It made a lovely combination.
It could have been better (3.75/5)
The staff out there is well trained and courteous.
Looking forward to visit here again! :)
Overall (4.5/5)
Kudos to the team! ❤
Mount Everest Spcl Chinese Soup :- The soup was yummy must try though
The main course was also yum specifically the Veg Maharani was too good
The dessert Was a bit okay
Mount Everest, Name is derived from their combination of cuisines, Indian and Chinise.
Good simple blue and white coloured ambiance theme. We tried some items from both cuisines.
Cream of spinach: A Spinach soup which is perfectly creamy. 4.5/5
Everest Special: Spicy Chinese flavour soup with wonton in it. Slightly higher on oily side but taste was good. 4/5
Dahi Kebab: Very few places serves good dahi kebabs in Ahmedabad. This one was perfectly made dahi kebab with may be a hint of cheese inside it. 4/5
Assorted dimsum platter steamed fried: It could be better if they don't use potato in it. If you love potato then you would like it. 2.5/5
Cigar rolls - Avoidable as it was more of bland. I wish it could be more cheese and spicy. 2/5
Aloo achari chaat: Mixer of chaat was great but we were expecting it with chilled curd. 3/5
Paneer Khurchan: good combination of spice orange gravy and creamy flavors. 4/5
Hakka noodles: this one is not exact indian version of hakka noodle with loads of sauces, this one is very good in taste with less sauces and will not let you feel dry. 4/5
Amrud Masaledar: spiced guava 4.5/5
Fresh mojito: Safe option if you love mojito 3.5/5
The restaurant is pretty conveniently located and is very easy to find since it is located in a commercial complex with so many restaurants, and right off the main road. The restaurant is designed to look like a diner, with plush green leatherette seating and wooden tables. The tables, however could have been a tad bit bigger to accommodate the serving plates as well. The interior decor and the ambiance is also great and not the forget, great soft music playing in the background to complement the bright interiors. Even the service is great, however, the waiters seem a tad bit confused when asked about certain dishes. The servers and waiters are also well-trained and quite courteous. The menu is also quite well designed, comprehensively covering dishes from the Indian as well as Chinese cuisine.
On my plate
Karari roomali roti - the first one that they served was so irresistible that we couldn't help but order another one!
Cream of Spinach soup - this is one if the best spinach soups I've ever had. It was a perfect blend of cream and spinach.
Chinese wanton soup - although a tad bit oily, the wantons in the soup were pretty delicious. I would have loved the soup had it been a bit less on the oily side.
Cigar rolls - these were quite disappointing as the taste was being overpowered by Paneer.
Dahi ke kebab - these were absolutely perfect, tasting every bit of hung curd, just like they should. Even the chutneys served with the kebab was fantastic.
Assorted momos - the momos were a tad bit disappointing as the taste of the filling was greatly overpowered by potatoes.
Achari aloo chat - the potatoes were perfectly boiled and even the Achari flavour added to the potatoes was great. However, I'd have loved the chat had the chutneys and the curd added to the chat were cold.
Hakka noodles - the noodles were perfectly cooked and made with a brilliant mix of flavours. The hakka noodles were closer to authentic than most Chinese places in town. I'd have loved the noodles even more had the the burnt, charred flavour of the wok was more pronounced.
Paneer kurchan - after a long list of places that served super disappointing punjabi food, this was a much-needed break from the bad food routine. The vegetable was delectable with a perfect mix of sweet and spicy.
Roomali roti - the rotis were perfectly cooked and of even thickness, just like roomali rotis should be, and certainly better than roomali rotis served at most restaurants across Ahmedabad.
We were so full by the time we finished the curry and the roti that we could not even try desserts! I wish we could though...
Certainly looking forward to visit again!

We wanted to eat some authentic chinese food and this place had it all. Loved the taste, quality, ambience everything, The cryspy roomali is awesome and they are so nice to serve us complimenty, The staff is so customer friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. Must try!
This place was 'Wok on fire' earlier. Now it has transformed into a multi cuisine restaurant. (Although the restaurant claims it serves many of the dishes as was available in Wok on fire)
We ordered Chinese as wanted to check out the Wok on fire connection. I must say wasnt disappointed. Manchow soup was good. Pad thai noodles were lip smacking. Sizzler was good but not excellent. The roomali papad appetizer is always welcome!! Food quantity serving is adequate.
Ambience is decent. Nothing wow factor there!
The prices are comparable to Mainland China but some way to go for the restaurant to justify the premium.
Good experience. Worth a visit!
Me and my mom went for lunch.. Ambience is good.
The menu is very affordable.Ee ordered nawabi biryani..Which steals the show..very yummy biryani.Even Manchurian also. And the tomato soup.. everything is perfect..!!They have very attractive party lunch menu also.! You must try this new restaurant..!
Awsum experience guys. Outstanding spread of cuisines to relish on. If u want something authentic then this is the place. The Bangkok mushrooms in starters has won my heart. Do try their dum biryani if you r a Biryani fan. They have not disappointed in any of the items ordered. Just the best taste that I found till date in Ahmedabad. Must visit guys. They have really justified their tagline of Peak of Delight.
Though my husband dint want to try anything new on the 31st Dec night ,but with wiggly set of mind we dared to enter the restaurant. And I must admit that our non climbing Mr.Everest experience was damn adventurous. The ambiance was pleasant with an amazing playlist. Dainty dishes to try out for sure! Highly recommended ☺ Certainly all of this is possible because all the efforts put in by the owner.
Their claim of "indo Chinese" is quite valid and substantial. They have come up in the same place that was previously occupied by wok on fire's prahaladnagar branch. Check out the menu. They have some really great dishes.
Very delicious food n very hygienic place
A must visit
