If you love Khichadi then definitely this is your place. Non khichdi lover also can visit this place and definitely you will love Khichadi. This place serves 50+ varieties of khichadi. Apart from khichadi I love their sukhadi. Love this place completely.

I recommend this place to people in search of light and healthy tummy filling meal. I ordered masala dal-Khichdi (medium spicy) & hare pyaaz ki lehsuni khichdi (spicy). The staff is very courteous and helped me to choose very tasty lehsuni khichdi. 1)Value for money 7/10. (affordable meals) 2) Taste 10/10(delicious) 3) Ambience 8/10 (good) 4) Service 9/10 (prompt service) suggestion:- As it is a single dish restaurant, please increase the quantity of serving per dish. Second branch of Urban Khichdi located on Prahladnagar main road. The place is easy to locate and had an easy access to parking. Once you are inside the restaurant, it is difficult to distinguish between the panjrapole outlet and this one as the ambience is really similar. The use of yellow on the walls has been to perfection. The lighting makes the walls bright yet soothing. Coming to their speciality, we tried the following : Global Khichdi Sizzler : One of the new introductions to the menu and a must try out dish here. Variety of global Khichdi served on a sizzling plate. The combination of risotto, fried rice and khichdi was made to perfection giving the Sizzler a perfect taste. Would surely recomment this one for global food Lovers. 4/5 Koshari : My favourite from the last visit. This one is an Egyptian version of khichdi. A bit dry in taste but surely never disappoints. 4/5 Hare pyaaz ki lahsuni khichdi : Indian speciality. Nothing exceptional in name but surely in taste. Use of extra Onion and garlic surely added to the taste. 4/5 Sukhdi : A speciality home made dessert in Ahmedabad. This one was fresh and soft. Do give the chef 15 minutes advance intimation for this one. 5/5 Overall the place surely pops up as the first one in your mind when you think of having healthy and light food in town.

I recently went to Urban Khichdi for a quick munching before watching a movie at a newly opened theatre in Prahladnagar to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home I ordered Dal Khichdi which cost me Rs. 199/- + taxes. It tasted good. But the quantity was less-approximately 425gms. I felt it was priced a little high. Even though I am not a Khichdi Lover but would recommend this place to all the khichdi lovers. The best part is that they have got a wide range in Khichdi. The Fusion (Vilayati) selection of Khichdis I am looking forward to trying in my next visit. Good ambiance... Place is maintained well... I ordered Indian Khichdi Sizzler, everything in this platter was delicious..😋 You will have 3 types of khichdi (Hareypyaz Lehsuni Khichdi, Pav Bhaji Khichdi & Masala Khichdi) served with Sindhi Alu and Sabudana Vada. Dahi and Fryums are complimentary. It’s enough for 2 persons. Price is reasonable. Ambience is good. Go for sizzler khichdi, if you are visiting this place for the first time.

Pleasant place to have some light food. All varieties of khichdi available here. In case you order achari khichdi, kindly note that it contains garlic. Would not be possible for Jains to have this. They have amazing gajjar ka halwa. The best part about them is that the service is very fast. Also, the fryms they give you as a complimentary starter is almost oil free and very crispy. Quality of food is good and hygenic. Ambiance is soothing and well lit.

Good food and good quality can see at this place. But they don't have gujrati sweet kadhi. This thing are always missing at this place. I always told them please add this item in your menu but they denied. Otherwise all the thigs are delicious.

Most people think, they serve only khichadi, but they serve very delicious Punjabi food too. We had paneer butter masala, it was very 👌, paratha awesome, masala vegetables khichadi was delicious, overall 10/10, bathroom very neat and clean, staff is good.

A great varieties of flavours to the traditional Indian comfort food. The soothing ambience with yellow colour on the walls and bright lights goes well with the menu. It's pleasing to have so many variations for khichdi being prepared across India. The curd and frayum served along is just perfect. Service from the staff is good too. This place definitely comes up first in mind when one thinks of having simple and homely meal.

Its good place to have variations of khichadi which is being prepared different across india, place is of mid size , single plate of order can be consumed by 2 PAX, cost definitely is on higher side per plate.

A nice place to visit for variety of khichdi (खिचड़ी)- rice preparation. All food is vegetarian. Ambience is attractive . Service is nice . Food is tasty and pocket friendly. All options available lunch brunch and dinner.

Visited the place last week. Was amazed to see the varieties of Khichdi on the Menu! It’s a wonderful place with great ambience. Must try Hare Pyaz and Lasuni Khochdi (chef’s special). Pav Bhaji khichdi and Mexican Khichdi are also amazing.. Do not start without Cheese Khichdi Bowls. And lastly, don’t miss the wonderful artwork on the yellow wall.

Had heard a lot about this place and finally decided to go one day. The menu was quite impressive because from starter to dessert everything had khichdi. There were so many options and new creations and varieties of khichdis that I was so confused. But on talking I realised a few items aren't even available. I ordered two things - 1.MUSHROOM & PESTO BASMATI RISOTTO - ₹279 Basmati risotto with mushrooms and basil pesto sauce served with two garlic breads on the side. A healthier version of pasta. Must try💯 2.CHEESE BUTTER MASALA KHICHDI - ₹249 Tasted like a plain simple masala khichdi. There was no taste of any butter or cheese in it. A complete waste of money. 3.BHUNA JEERA CHASH - ₹49 Will always go with anything you order. And if it's khichdi, which other combo will ever work better?

the dal kichichadi i ordered was not upto to mark i felt like it was not properly cock also salt was less just the overall taste was not upto the mark at all , there was much oil then usual and etc

Being a khichdi lover I was advised by a comrade to try the Dal Makhni Khichadi, and it was amazing. Having tasted such delicious khichadi, I was disappointed by Butter Masala Dal Khichadi.  I have also tried khichiya papad and Mango Lassi but they both were good.

Good place to have some healthy stuff. Ambience is small and well managed. Good staff and service.<br/>Menu has loads of varities of khichdis.<br/>We ordered Cheese butter Masala khichdi, Panchkuti khichdi and Teekha Misal Khichdi ( order if you like spicy touch, similar to Misal served in Maharashtra)<br/>We also ordered Amritsari Masaledaar Paneer and tawa paratha. Both were good but i would recommend to have khichdi over punjabi over here😉<br/>Lastly desserts, we had all the three desserts Sukhdi , Badam aur dal ka shera and Paan shots.<br/>Sukhdi was deliciously awesome. You can also give a try to Shera and Paan shots.

How many innovations can you think of when it comes to a simple dish called "Khichdi"? I must say, I was very happily surprised looking at their varieties and genuine taste each one offered in our order. It wasn't like the same gravy/taste in multiple forms. We tried their Indian Khichdi Sizzler, Pau Bhaji Khichdi, Sindhi Aloo, Panchkuti Khichdi and a lot of other variants, since we're a very big family. 😊 Their food is 5/5, and so is their staff and service. We will definately patronize this restaurant again.

I ordered dal khichdi from this outlett and it was very mild,the khichdi was like people who are not well,no masalas,no spices not at all but i like service,they serve khichdi with curd and primes..and khichdi could be better if they make it with little bit more masalas and spices.

It was my mom’s birthday and as she had fast we had less possibility for family dinner out but urban Khichdi ensured that we have that time and enjoy it fully with providing overwhelming service.. Cake cutting with Sukhadi was amazing.. we loved all kind of food, North Indian, Khichdi (Hare pyaz ki lasuni Khichdi) , Sabu Dana ni Khichdi, most amazing was Sabu Dana na vada. We like to try new food options and surprised to see outlet months back with all Traditional khichdi options.<br/>We found this very interesting as seems saturation from Pizza - Pasta - Chinese etc options for eating out.<br/>One can choose khichdi according to his/her liking and also paratha with jeera aaloo or other Sabji also seems worth trying.<br/><br/>So it's healthy and full meal option at Urban khichdi drives to visit on regular basis.<br/><br/>Also like to add to feedback:<br/>1. Should introduce one platter containing small testing of unique starters, khichdi, sweets etc<br/>2. Packed & frozen curd doesn't go quite well compare to fresh matka dahi.

One of the best places in ahmedabad to go for authentic khichdis !!!! I love the different types of khichdis which was delicious and fresh and staff is really friendly and helpful. Food is one of the best in city. This place is spiced just right and have 4 house special khichdis.

I had ordered delivery from here. It was simple achari khichadi but the taste made me nostalgic of my maa ke hath ka khana. It felt so good and fulfilling. It was not at all oily or extra spicy but had the right proportions of everything. They gave dahi and fryums complimentary which i was very happy to have! I am always in search of ghar jaisa khana because frankly its not possible to cook everyday. I can say for sure that my search ends here!

Very few restaurants are allowing sizzler in Zomato Gold. Urban Khichidi is one of them. We tried both Indian and global sizzler both are awesome. Also we tried Swaminarayan Khichidi and masala Khichidi those are also delicious.

Saviour for sick people! Swaminarayn Khichdi is the best thing to order if you're unwell. The only place you should even consider having food from if you're sick and cant cook.
