Review Yellow Taxi - Kathis On The Roll - Ahmedabad

It was more of a trip down the memory lane. Those short trips to Kolkata's Tengra!! Super fresh prawns cooked to perfection. The chilly garlic pepper prawns were just the way it should be. This probably the coziest place in town to be for a lovely time with family. And the location plays the biggest role here. Everything was just perfect!!

Kolkata Konnection the Resto Cafe that mastered Bengali cuisine and were the pioneers to introduce the flavours to Amdavadi’s have now renamed their name to Yellow Taxi. The brand is revamped and how, brilliant new dishes added to their Classic Rolls & Biryanis. What we were served: Chicken Egg Roll - Kathi Rolls that are a Bengali favourite with marinated pcs of chicken and Egg. Chicken Hariyali Tikka - For all chicken lovers the name is enough, burst of flavours and freshness of the Tikka. Shanghai Chicken - A chinese chicken variant that has all the aromas and taste of a proper chinese dish, this is a must try from their Menu. Salt & pepper fish - Macchi lovers this traditional no nonsense dish is a no brainer order it blindly. Konjee Crispy Chicken - So crisp and juicy, a delish starter served in a very cute presentation style. American Chosuey - Crowd pleaser, the chinese supremo chopsuey is loved by all age groups. The main that goes well with a gravy dish. Egg Biryani - A Biryani that bridges the gap between vegetarians, non vegetarians and eggetarians this dish ensures to retain the main taste and earthiness of a Meat biryani. Butter Chicken - OG, need I say more? Chicken in rich buttery gravy cooked to perfection do order this with Butter Naan and enjoy the burst of flavours in your mouth. Kolkata Style Chicken Bhuna - Bengalis know this dish for sure and if you are trying this cuisine for the very first time go ahead and pick it, you wont regret. Chilli Garlic Naan - Assortment of Indian Breads this is my personal favourite because you can eat bites of it as is too. Overall, the look and feel of the cafe is minimalist yet very elegant. Loved the vibe, staff helps pick the best of dishes and the food I have talked about already is lip smacking. If you are in South Bopal you have to visit or can order online if anywhere else in town and wish to indulge in good Non Vegetarian food then gead over right away.

Excellent quality for the price also the taste is good , my family loves good food and we are always looking out for yummy delights . At yellow taxi we were had very well cooked prawn starters and prawn curry if was very delicious and the quality and quantity both were excellent. The fried rice was excellent 👌 so we're the chicken noodles. Value for money as the portion size is also large . I would recommend this to all Chinese cuisine lovers.

Yellow Taxi in Ahmedabad is a Kolkata cuisine haven! The Hakka Noodles and Chicken Biryani were soooo damn goood & exquisite, capturing the true essence of Kolkata flavors. The ambiance, with its Kolkata touch, adds a delightful charm to the dining experience. Friendly staff and an authentic menu makes Yellow Taxi a must-visit. Five stars!❤️❤️

The food here was awesome. You can try out their chicken biriyani. The taste will take you to Kolkata. You can try out their Chinese also. Those who stay out of kolkata and want to taste some authentic kolkata style food do visit this place.

If your roots are from Kolkata and you miss Biryani, Chinese flavors, street food, Yellow Taxi is the place to go. Amazing food and the interior really creates a nostalgic feel of the good ol Calcutta!

Amazing Food with an authentic taste of each and every cuisine served!! The Vegetarian food is also amazing and certainly the best in the area!! Paneer Chilli is a must try!!

Fantastic food options when you are at Ahmedabad. I visited twice. At first visit, i had chicken bhuna masala with roti and chicken biriyani. In the second visit, i had chicken bharta with roti. This place can accommodate 20-24 people indoor. They do have outdoor seating arrangement which you can only opt post 7pm.(As it is too hot). They have entire menu which will remind you of Kolkata and the decor and ambience will take you back to Kolkata. I had a good time. Moderately priced. But i am upset with the price of Tandoori Roti which ₹45 each. (too much).

Awesome taste specially the Mutton Biryani was great. Given one star less as the quantity could have been more for the price point.
