If you travel to ajmer, remember to have this Rajasthani delicacy at Shankar Chaat house, Kadi Kachori 🤤 The combination is really tasty and worth having it Don't have the Tikki Chole, you will be disappointed You can try the lassi & gulab jamun, they were delicious 👅 It's a pocket friendly place and you will definitely enjoy the food #mydeliciousjourney

This place is a must visit if you are one of the hungry pants and would love to taste authentic street food of Ajmer. Famous for its chaat I searched the place on google. Location: Situated in Naya bazaar. I was staying near dargah. Walkable distance from dargah but if you aren't comfortable, you can take an e rickshaw at rs 10 per person or the local public auto. Menu: You can read it from the board it serves all authentic chaats of ajmer. What I tried? : I personally tried kadhi kachori, kadhi samosa, dahi papdi, aloo tikki and moong daal halwa. Photo attached below. Review: I personally liked kadhi kachori the best. As a north indian, my imagination for kadhi was something else and at first I wasn't sure of trying it. But it turned out to be the best kachori I have tasted until now. Dahi papdi has its own flavour. Very lavishly made with papdi, good quality curd, one piece of dhokla, pomegranate seeds ( anaar), hari mirch with chutney and masala. Kadhi Samosa was almost same as kadhi kachori. But I personally liked kadhi kachori more. Aloo tikki was not you expect as a delhite. There was no dahi and papdi in it. It was two tikkis served with sweet chutney. But it was yummy. Moong daal halwa was a bit less sweet and filled with real desi ghee. Mouth watering sweet dish you can have! Price: I don't remember exactly but I ordered everything in rounds. 1st round: 2 kadhi samosa and 1 kadhi kachori at Rs. 45 2nd round: Dahi papdi and aloo tikki at Rs. 60 3rd round: Moon dal halwa at Rs. 40. This place is not over priced at all. Love the food at such rate. Ambience: This place is a chaat corner with no sitting arrangement. So, it would be good if you go there empty handed. Although, you can sit in front of the shops opposite to Shankar chaat if the shopkeeper allows you. That's all! 😊

Shankar chaat famously known as gol pyau ki kachori in ajmer city. The recipe of kachori and samosas here is around a generation old. The sweets jalebi and gulabjamun are their speciality. The sabji of kachori which they serve is the best in town. They also serve khaman dhokla, aloo tikki etc.

Best chaats in the Ajmer city. Popular dishes are kachodi with kadi and Samosas with kadi , green phudina and sweet imali taste. Never miss this when you are in Ajmer.

I am from Surat. So, it is difficult to find the taste provided by Rajasthan there. The Dahi papdi chaat, dahi vada is a must try for people who don't like dahi dishes. Kadhi kachori is something you should count on if you like spicy food. Lassi is just like a cherry on cake after binging on oily and spicy food. Some things this place can work on: 1. Parking 2. Cleanliness 3. Sitting arrangement for foodies.

The place is really great. We tried kadi kachori, mirchi vada, dhokhla and jalebi. Preparation for everything was super fresh and the value for money was also great. The quality, freshness and content is satisfying.

Shankar's chat is located near Ajmer fort. This place is pretty famous among locals and always crowded. I never had kadhi kachori, so I was very excited to try kadhi kachori combo. We had both kadhi kachori and aalu tikiya. Aalu tikiya was sweet and sour whereas combo of kadhi kachori was spicy. I really loved both those items. This place is pocket friendly, so don't miss if you are in Ajmer.

Come to Ajmer & not tasting kadi-kachori is a crime. Situated in the mid of the city ( busy with streets) it is the best Kadi Kachori shop. Enriched with great taste, It serves very spicy food here, so people with allergy to spices stay away. Mixed with chilly & sweet chutnies this single dish of Kachori / Samosa is enough for one's spicy appetite. You can demand to add few more or less. Combination of other eatable like fried chips and/or pakodas in Kadi-kachori adds to over all taste. Packing facility is available. Parking is a big issue since it is no parking zone. But there is a Car parking available for Ajmer fort just round the next corner near police station which is a paid parking. Advise: Come early in the morning to avoid rush and get a quick bite in breakfast.

Every foody has one visit due to this place. They include the best of Rajasthan snacks, best Allu Tikkie in the town, fresh Bengali Rasogula, and local flavor of Kadi Pakodi etc. I visit them very specially for their unique and superb Allu Tikkie but every time I test their Dal Wada and take some other dish as well. This place is a must visit.
