Review Daawat Restaurant - Ajmer

The haunt of many students of Mayo College since the 60's, I had read about this restaurant in a book. Didn't have time to go in for a meal but I stopped here to get a non vegetarian club sandwich packed for my train ride back to Delhi. Staff was very good and understood what I wanted and let me photograph the food for this review before packing it. That sandwich saved my life on the train as it was taste and simple to digest.

A medium-range decent hotel. The taste was too good. We tried hundi biryani and it was awesome, They have veg and non-veg dishes. Nearby Ajmer railway station and they have more train orders. It has a nice ambience and some dishes have the authentic taste.

I really appreciate for their service and food. Actually we came from Hyd to Ajmer at late night, the restaurant is just closed that time, we requested them and they have opened it for us, served hot and delicious food. Our tiredness due to long journey is much relieved, and that too at such a late hour, they patiently cooked and served the food for us. Thanks a lot guys

It was probably the only restaurant in Ajmer in the 1960’s . We were in school then and had an occasional meal there and as kids were in awe when visiting I remember the food used to be good to average then. I’m visiting Ajmer after almost 3 decades, hope the place is doing well as I plan to visit this restaurant

To say it was a delightful culinary experience would be an understatement. The portion size was generously satisfying for a single person, and the flavors were exceptional. What truly stood out was the top-notch quality of the ingredients used, and the meticulous packaging ensured that the food arrived in perfect condition. I greatly appreciated their attention to detail, as they meticulously followed my instructions. Whenever I find myself on the same route, Honeydew Restaurant is my go-to choice for ordering food. I have been visiting this place since 1987 from my First Visit to Ajmer.Awesome Food. Coming from a Delhi Foodie who has enjoyed West Delhi Food, should actually be taken as a compliment. I and my family and extended family have also relished outdoor catering by Honeydew. A must visit ... All Tandoori snacks are great.. Malai kofta and Baked Vegetables are awesome. Just to name a few. Just for record's sake, LonelyPlanet, the most popular Travel Guide Book and Blog writes - "The Honeydew offers a diverse selection of veg and nonveg Indian, Chinese and Continental food in a pleasant, clean and relaxed (but overly dim) atmosphere. It is the restaurant of choice for Mayo College students’ midterm treat. The ice cream, milkshakes and floats will keep you cool."

Amazing Rogan Josh! Most of the food items ordered were amazing. Also it's 5 mins walking from the railway station so one can easily eat before catching a train or immediately as soon as you arrive. There are not many non-veg restaurants around and few that are there are not very up-market. This was an amazing surprise. 😊

I stumbled upon this place while travelling in Ajmer to visit the Durgah, and loved it. After a long time I found some place which has really good food at a reasonable price. Ambience is good, nice music, and good service. Since it is near railway station, you must try if you are in town. Keep it up.
