Review Gay Time Family Restaurant - Allahabad

It's a bit cozy but from my pov the food quality, quantity and taste is good regarding to mutton dishes. Chicken dishes slightly not so good but mutton cuisine is way better in taste.

Taste here is good specially chicken Biryani. Other food items are also good. A must visit place. Rates are moderate class. If I talk about the space then that is not too much. It can accommodate about 25 people and not more than that. Staff is good and service is also good.

Being served happy experience over here for more than 4 years now. Decent establishment that provides you tasty food that is affordable and value for the price charged. Cordial staff, owner is very friendly. The happy go to place, may invest money to decorate the interiors as well. Thanks for the read!

I loved Biryani here most. Location is nice that is on-road which is easy to find.... Price is also nice in budget....

Nice place to dine in or take outs.. Food served is good in quality and quantity both.. We loved the Chicken Badshah along with butter naan... I must say that food was awesome overall but the hygiene lacks at the table and glasses provide for water.. Please do some needed correction for Much better experience of your customers...

The place offers good and tasty food but the restaurants' interior could be redesigned to make it more presentable. Still a must go place for Biryani lovers and I'd personally recommend their Afghani Chicken.

Awesome in taste. Awesome chicken curry, finger licking handi chicken and best roasted chicken I ever had. But service need to be improved. I asked the the waiter for better non-veg option. He told me the best option. Never found such a finger licking desi non-veg option before. I must say you can definitely visit once a month for chicken lovers. You can also find a good vegetarian option here. An inner cabin seating available for family. Outer open space is available for general public and studs. One must visit such a fabulous place.

Quanity and quality both were good...

One of the best restaurants in Allahabad, if not the best. I have tried almost all its cuisines and all are equally wonderful. I personally prefer Handi Chicken and mixed fried rice. The staffs are very friendly. It has been my go to restaurant for the past 2 years.

Coming to my order I ordered chicken biryani , and veg noodles both tasted good and the portion was sufficient for two people . <br/>More specifically the taste of both the dishes was full of flavour not very spicy a good option to try food from .

I have seen this restaurant from outside umpteen times but never visited it. (Doesn't appear refined restaurant to me)<br/><br/>Today I was craving for Non Veg along with Rumali Roti and there aren't many places that offer Rumali Roti so I resorted to order from here.<br/><br/>I ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Mughlai and Malai Kofta.<br/>For Bread I ordered Rumali Rotis, Tawa Paratha, Naan and Lachcha Paratha.<br/><br/>Taste and quantity of Butter Chicken, Chicken Mughlai and Malai Kofta (it wasn't sweet as Malai Kofta is) was good, Rumali Roti and Tawa Paratha were also soft and nice; Naan was okay but Laccha Paratha was awful.<br/>Apart from that I really liked their tangy green chutney which had thick consistency and was good in taste.<br/><br/>Prices were reasonable.<br/>Food was delivered within an hour.

I am going to this restaurant for last 20 years when it was roadside joint.<br/>Food is above average, you just need to mention for less chillies, thats it.<br/>Butter chicken is good, tandoori murg is also nice. The only thing I didn't like in my last 2 experiences was , they put nutralite instead of butter and it ruins the flavor. Nutralite is margarine and it cannot replace butter.<br/>Rest portion size is ok. Gravy is good.

this is the most shittiest restaurant you'll ever go to . I ve ordered food from there around 4 times and every time 1 or 2 items are missing and once I ordered a aloo kulcha they sent me aloo jeera ka sabzi and roti , and more over I order a total of 5 items from the restaurant yesterday, they sent me 3 of them and when then I asked the delivery agent why he didn't bring the missing 2 items , he told me that the restaurant it self has not given him the other packet . then I asked the restaurant , so they told me that they have sent all the items but they didn't , as their history has not been so good with delivering orders and then the food was awfull there was chicken from a chicken curry kind of dish over the noodles which they sold as chicken noodles and then the kebab roll felt like it was dipped on mustard oil tasted like shit. then today I have loose motion , if you want to eat there are other good options like nawab ki rasaoi.l, dastarqhan etc , but not this dirty little shit.<br/>

The quality of food is fine, the food is usually fresh and tasty ,the quantity is worth the money but packaging issues prevail here , need improvement in this criteria

Best Budget Restaurant For Bhukkad Folks!<br/>Tried everything in here and fortunately never got disconsolated. They serve their meals with Spruceness.

A small crowded restaurant which serves decent food at decent price. Tried their butter chicken, kadhai chicken and roomali roti. I liked all of them. I won't say it's superb but something you can eat without complain. Their quantity was really good which is a plus point and also it's value for money.

One of the best place for nonveg lover. Mutton handi is one of the best food to order again and again. Visited this place most of the time with family and feiend.

I ordered Butter chicken, flavor was OK but the thing anyone would dislike is, it was topped by nutralite instead of butter.<br/>Butter would have enhanced the flavor.

Delivery takes about an hour and 30 minutes. The restaurant was 300 mtrs away and the delivery boy took an hour to reach after food was prepared. Food was cold.

The food was very bad. Quantity was too less. I ordered garlic chicken and there was more than 80% cornflour than chicken. Fried rice was also very bad, overcooked rice and bad quality vegetables.

By mistake ordered from here after checking one review n believe me the gravy had pieces of small bones and paneer at the same time it was Chicken Kali mirch horrible it was coz after 4 bites had to stop as the bones were cracking while chewing<br/>It seems to me that they didn't cleaned the utensil where in they might have cooked some paneer n den later without removing it's gravy completely started with chicken n no wonder how the chunks of bones might have ended being there seems previously cooked gravy perhaps<br/>Gross ! Cheap n waste at same time<br/>Instead one can try Khana khazana's dhaba chicken vich they call kukkad<br/>And baba biryani gravy dishes budget n gud options<br/>N yes chicken the best is served the dhaba chicken of pind baluchi n jade gardens butter chicken also 9280 has some good options too but chicken lovers don't fall for gay time<br/>

You people don't even know what cheese it. What do you think you charge money for. Stale bread. Veg roll was full of oil instead of stuffing. Worst. Won't even order again or suggest others.

Appreciable biryani at a very competitive price.<br/>One gets a peaceful environment to sit and eat calmly while talking with friends and family. The butter chicken is a must try here!

Disappointed with the quantity

I think this is one of the oldest rest. among others in Ald, I have had their food many times coz it tastes good n pocket friendly too. But since a year or two, I'm not that happy with their food taste/quality, as i was before.. They need to focus on their quality more.. so rated 3

So I have done online delivery through zomato. I’m visiting allahbad for some days so I decided to order food from civil lines. It’s hard to search for a restaurant who delivers food to the place where I’m staying so after struggling through menu and restaurants, I’ve decided to order from this place. <br/>So I’ve ordered paneer tikka masala, butter roti and chili potato. So all the food I’ve got it’s so delicious. <br/>I must recommend this restaurant to the locals of allahbad.

I tried chicken biryani Nd was good...location is good but restaurant is small...and they should work on interiors...but very good in terms of price...

Soup that I received wasn't the one that I ordered. It was more of a terrible stew with half boiled veggies with a very absurd taste. (It was nowhere close to sweet corn soup because it had not even a single kernel in that entire soup) Although, alongside I had ordered butter chicken which was good enough (the only drawback being it more of a tomato based gravy). Rumali rotis that I received were very good and were still pretty warm which saved me from re-heating before serving the meal.

What a pathetic place to visit! No freaking hygiene and none other place in Allahabad has its services as poor as them! Looks like their clientage are the ones who come after a khamba of royal stag, lost!

A big NO !<br/>One could think of having 'gay time' here before 2013.<br/>They used to serve handi chicken and chicken biriyani to drool for.<br/>After it shifted from M.G.Marg and changed it's staff, it is no longer the same.<br/>Infact it has currently degraded to it's all time low.<br/>Conjusted, unhygenic, rude staff, bland food you name it.<br/>Visited recently out of nostalgia with the old gang and was extremely disappointed, left the meal just to seek elsewhere.

Had their biryani and Hyderabadi Chicken gravy dish with tandoori!<br/>Served with raita, green chutney and onion rings the Biryani was nice.<br/>The chicken gravy had methi as one of the major ingredients and on a serious note it had a quite different taste to offer.<br/>Service was quick and nice at pocket friendly rates!

The restaurant has a very little space and if more than 10 people are going then you should rethink about it. We have ordered biryani. The food was cold as it was prepared a long time ago and they didn't even try to reheat it. Taste was not that bad. Ambience was ok.

Food quality is avrage ... kabab paratha is so worst ... service is on an avrage ... don't think going here again .. 😞 need to be upgarde ur food quality

The food is fine quality wise as well as quantity wise. It could get better, the service is just fine, and thename, ohhhhhhh, the name could have have been something much much better!!
