Amber Fort is an architectural wonder steeped in history that's truly captivating. The grandeur and intricacies of this place are simply breathtaking, especially for enthusiasts passionate about architectural photography like myself. Visiting during the off-season was a game-changer. The reduced crowds made it possible to appreciate the fort's beauty without feeling overwhelmed. Trust me, it's worth planning your visit during quieter times to soak in the grandeur without the hustle and bustle. For history buffs, having a guide is invaluable. Their insights and explanations add layers to the experience, offering a deeper understanding of the fort's rich historical significance. It's fascinating to delve into the stories behind every wall and courtyard. Despite the potential for crowds, Amber Fort remains a must-visit. Its architectural brilliance and historical depth make it an unforgettable stop, especially if you're passionate about capturing stunning visuals through photography.

Recently visited this fort. Absolutely loved it. The history and architecture is mind blowing. A good step by Rajasthan Government to cap the charges of guides at 400. Was able to get a jeep to show around all the 3 forts nearby. The crowd is too much though at the monument which does lead to traffic snarls before you can enter the fort. Able to buy a lot of things within the premises so makes it easier.

Amber Palace was beautiful in its design and scale and a must visit site for any travelling to India as a tourism hub. The intricate carvings and fortifications of red sandstone and white marble make it majestic wherever you were to look. It has a rich history of battles with cannons placed inside as protection during sieges. The architecture really showcases both indigenous and Mughal styles, the walls are filled with historically paintings and engineering intelligence. There is plenty of passive cooling for the king and his wives to stay cool in the summers and enjoy the view, as well as plenty of individual space for everyone. Within the inner buildings, the king had built a house for each wife, with each one as massive as the last. As it was built for the King, there was not a need to accommodate anyone apart from his people, and therefore the dense population was not a concern. However, despite this, it is a fort, and it shows. It is capable of fitting thousands of troops to overlook and protect the King, with its vast outer walls stretching as if it was the Great Wall of China. It is truly surprising that the bulk of it was built in one lifetime but has remained standing for close to a thousand years now and looks to stand for another thousand after this. Truly showcasing its sustainability as a building.

The fort is a great architectural landmark and definitely a must visit when in Jaipur. The fort is about 12-15 kms away from the main city so you need transportation to get there. The entrance fee is about 200 Rs and the climb is steep. There are jeeps that get you up to the top and you can work with them to wait till you finish the tour to pick you up. This is a classical tourist trap place. So discuss the details of the jeep the cost and the number of people before getting the jeep. They have guides as well so if you are interested get one. Mind you they might push you to shops where they have tie ups. Also there are many shops in the vicinity selling bedspread and quilts along with other handicraft. The prices of these are not standard and sold on the whims of the shop keepers. As none of them have a price tag and many of them have an inflated price so best to bargain a bit on them. Not sure if they still have an elephant service to take folks to the entrance of the fort. The place can be covered in 2 hours. The walk up to the fort entrance can be tedious and will take 1-2 hours

The ticket price for foreigners is 502R (~6$). But you have to wait in a long queue. Yes, there are so many people!! And you have to walk for a while to reach. The ticket counter is up there in the palace To me, it is the most amazing of all places in Jaipur. One of the greatest engineering marvels I find. The architecture is in detail. The view is stunning from there. You can see the walls of the ancient city of Jaipur and other fortresses.

Plan your trip accordingly. I'll suggest devote a full day trip so that you can enjoy the scenic view. Although, I came here in a one day tour package, the only con is that we have to leave early and cannot watch the light show.

It's s very big fort/Palace atop a hill in Jaipur. You should have good amount of time with you to completely explore the place. On weekends it can take a lot of time to reach the Palace due to traffic. But its worth the wait and efforts.

Fantastic place with so much history. Make sure to get a guide (400 or so rupees) to really learn what this beautiful place was all about. Massive palace sitting on the mountain in the middle of a jungle. Such a wonder how these structures were built so long ago and are still standing so sturdy today. The sun and water palace is amazing.
Teppei Hanazono
Amber palace has so much history. Big wall that surrounds the palace and detailing tiled ceiling that reflects light conveying beautiful star like reflection that surrounds the area. I will definitely recommend getting a tour guide, for it will provide you with details of the palace from the history behind each room layout to its fascinating structures. If you don’t get a tour guide you will get lost with the maze like layout.

Fantastic place with a great view. It is clean. There is an entry fee and the fare is ₹100 pp You can also book thru online You can just scan the QR code from the entry gate and I would recommend you to choose the QR code for taking the ticket. It is one of the best place for Photography and there are no extra charges for camera. Bus are less but you can get the Jeep and Auto to reach here.

The best fort I have ever seen in my life. It looks like heaven on earth in the evening. You can opt Elephant ride to visit the fort in the day time and by walk or in the car in the evening.
Ramya R.S
Brilliant place with so much historical significance. Prefer taking a guide (specifically government ones) - you can identify them as they wear government ID’s Prefer wearing comfortable clothes and footwear (specifically) as it involves a lot of walking and climbing stairs You can do shop (however I found them comparatively expensive) but do try out the fragrances sold inside the palace Individuals can either walk or take the local jeeps to reach the palace however going in your own car will lead to difficulty as it gets crowded and parking is difficult to find
Jem Bishop
Amazing fort, well maintained with stunning views. Full of history and interesting secrets. Make sure you get official tour guide and don’t get ripped off though.

A visit to the fort is an essential part of any Jaipur tour. The fort encompasses a large area and is filled with many structures, halls, rooms and gardens each with its own story and special purpose. Make sure you get a good guide and arrive early to beat the huge crowds that are attracted to this iconic palace. A magnificent place. Highly recommended.

Amber fort is one of the must see places in Jaipur. Most of the fort is open, and winters is a perfect time to explore this beautiful fort and know its history. A guide is a must to truly appreciate the significance and artmanship of the entire fort.
Lucy (ListenToMe)
This is the only fort we have visited in Jaipur. Definitely worth visiting. The only thing to be mindful of is the commute time, it took almost 1.5 hours to get there due to the traffic but google map was showing 40mins. We also hired a tour guide, but not super useful to be honest
Tuan H. Vu (Tom)
Loved the place because of its greatness and beauty. You can see the wall on the hill looking like the Great Wall. The palace has great architecture, filled with marks of time. However all the chambers were empty, maybe you can find what were inside at the UK National museum. The smell was bad, brace yourself when visiting here!
Maureen Robb
The Amber Palace is extremely large and you really do need a guide to find your way around and get the history of the Palace. The traffic getting to the palace can be hectic so make sure you have plenty of time for the journey and to be able to appreciate this amazing place. Probably would not recommend for anyone who can't manage stairs.

If you're in Jaipur, a visit to this place is a must. For those with kids, it's advisable to request the driver to take the car to the top instead of walking. It's a picturesque spot, and hiring a guide for 200 rs is worthwhile as they provide insightful information about the location. Plan for 2-3 hours to explore the place thoroughly. Overall, it's a great destination to visit.

Everything about this place is everything that I wanted it to be. Not too fancy, not too hyped. A restaurant with class I can afford, taste I can keep coming back for and oh, did I mention the staff that makes you feel more than just a guest? At this point, I have to mention, the restaurant GM Mr Amresh Singh Chouhan, Mr Navrantan Singh and Mr Rajpal for welcoming and serving me with so much warmth and care. Coming to the food, the Lal Maans is all goodness that's left in the world. The receipe stays the same even in their Jodhpur chain, which I absolutely loved. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who likes their food with a view, a calm ambience and a great staff. खम्मा गणी

Absolutely loved the food, the people and the place !!!!!! Thali is the best way to experience rajasthani cuisine and I loved every thing that accompanied on those beautiful pan shaped thals. Thank you for your hospitality Navratan ji and the 1135 AD staff for making our night memorable. We celebrated our 5th anniversary and couldn't have picked a better place.

Date of visit: 17.02.2018 Located at Amer Fort, 1135 AD is nothing more than that. It's ambience gives you a feel of Rajasthan royalty but food is really bad. Most of the dishes on the menu were not available. Staff does not have clue about anything at all. Quite disappointing!! Not recommend at all

Awesome place to dine, it's the food that doesn't shine The only good thing about this place was the Ambience... it is located inside the fort, which is exciting and it seems they have converted one of the royal rooms into a restaurant. It gives you the maharaja feel and the live music being played was just great. They have two parts, one terrace and the other one is with AC. The terrace part where live music wasn't being played sadly played English music, there was absolutely no connect in between the music and the ambience. Food was strictly strictly ok. Dal Makhani was not good, there wasn't enough cream and butter and it seemed to have been cooked with lots of water in it, it definitely wasn't on the charcoal for more than 10-12 hrs as the menu claims to be. We ordered Gatta Curry thinking it would be their speciality, but to my surprise even that was strictly ok, but it was still better than the dal. Dahi Ke Kabab were horrible, they just didn't know how to cook them, they were hard and gave me a feeling as if I am having paneer Kebabs. Moreover they were small in size, like pakoras, I haven't had such dahi kebabs before, normally they are tikki sized... All in all The ambience is what it is worth going there once, if you want to have great food, try going to Peshawri in ITC Rajputana...

Royal and majestic ambience....feel lyk a king...awesome.and.marvellous...but there is little bit scope of improving food...thats why one star less..otherwise a must visit place in jaipur

This place is regal with the most humble of Staff. The owner is extremely friendly and the operation manager gives you a feel of being treated as royalty. The food is one of the best you can find in this city
Shailesh Raikar
Except the location everything is below par. Even location is not so good as there is no view of area around. Certainly not the money's worth. It is quite expensive for its food and services. Not recommended.
Kalpana Shrivastava
Rotten place, will never recommend to anyone, food was horrible, totally inedible. And VERY VERY EXPENSIVE.

We had an amazing time! The food was so good we were tempted to order more. The staff was was lovely, warm and inviting. The four of us felt like royalty and would return given the opportunity,

Must visit for the experience on dining at a palace, the food service and over food experience was just about ok :)
Sakshi Mehra
The thali was horrible. It was a nightmare and the service was even worst. The place was worth every penny once upon a time. However, now it’s the worst nightmare it tastes so horrible and the food was cold and old. Please do not consider this place especially for a date night. Mine just got ruined.

Ms. Prabha has helped me so much in creating a perfect evening for my parents anniversary.<br/>The welcome was amazing.<br/>The view of whole restaurant is amazing.<br/>In summary it was one of the best experience
Kavit
Pretentious waiters who are only pleased to suck up to the fair skin.. attitude issues, slow service, cold food, average taste! Best avoided!
Nikhil Bansal
I haven't visited any similar horrible place, service is extremely poor, very spicy food, there is no option for negative rating,
Abantika Das Aich
It is a heritage hotel inside the premises of the fort. The interior gives you a Royal feeling as soon as you step in. Felt like we were the royals! 😆We ordered a Thaal-E-Jodha (veg) and a Thaal-E-Amber (non veg) thali which were served in silver platters. Every bite of each item was delicious, awesome ambience and their warm gestures were heart winning. They went an extra mile to make sure we had a great experience. I was very happy to find this hidden restaurant.
Kale
We went here and the staff said that they stopped offering zomato gold 1+1 on food even though it said they did on the app. Extremely slow service. Took them over an hour after we had dinner to get the check and run the card.
Sanabh Grover
Food was terrible. Service was even worse. <br/>We ordered the kebab portions, everything came in confused portions. <br/>Main course was just absolutely horrible. The Gatta Paloa was burned, the Jangli mutton had no mutton just had bones. The paneer and the aloo wasn’t cooked. And all the staff was horribly rude.
Mugdha Kharbanda
I’m not normally the one to come up here and post reviews. But the fact that the restaurant is rated less than 4 stars got me surprised and i thought I must do my bit to bring this is to justice. We visited the fort on a cold winter night, starving from just having eaten a breakfast some 10 hours before we came here. Let’s just say I’m glad i was that hungry as the food was absolutely delicious. It was flavourful yet being subtle on spices. <br/>We sat outside, but if you wanna enjoy some live folk music, you must sit inside as the singer- like every other thing about that night- was phenomenal!<br/>I am definitely going to visit this restaurant each time I go to Jaipur and you must too. <br/><br/>What we had-<br/>Non-veg platter (fish tikka and chicken tikka were especially amazing)<br/>Dahi kebabs <br/>Shahi kumbh (an absolute must try!)<br/>And finally we had phirni (kinda only okayish) and shahi tukda for dessert.
Bhavik Mehta
It’s a restaurant inside the Amer fort. This place gives you a royal feeling like that of a palace. We had veg biryani with raita and it was just amazing. One of the best biryanis I ever had. The hospitality of this place is nice.
Preet Josan
Nice location but ordinary food and below par service. It seems they just forget - to take the order, to bring water and to get the cheque.<br/>It ought to be better.
Prashant Kohli
Awesome experience right from the ride upto the restaurant to the live singing to the food and finally the ride back to the Hotel...<br/>We tried their Amer spl. Meat, Dahi Kebab, Chicken Shorba and Garlic Naans....<br/>Food was delicious and the atmosphere made the experience even more special.<br/>By far the most romantic setting I have had dinner at with my wife...<br/>HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

The gravy did not have onions , neither did they provide extra onions . The sangria did not have cut fruits in it , it was not so different than tang .
Aanchal Luthra
Such a waste of a beautiful property<br/>Horrible horrible service. Got my friends here for the first time to experience Jaipur royalty and were we disappointed. Just because we were a bunch of kids, they treated us way with utmost indifference. I ordered Sangria, they got just wine in Orange juice. When asked, they said we're out of fruits. We asked for onion with our food, they apparently were out of onions too, though they served it to the table next to ours. The food was subpar too..The signature dish Laal Maans was just tomato sauce with mutton.
Rachit Shrivastava
The laal mass was prepared in watery gravy. Sangria was sub-standard. When the asked the staff if they could give us some onions and salad with the food we ordered, we were denied stating that onion is finished. However, we saw that they were serving onions and salad on the other tables. Service was quite disheartening for the quality promised.
Nishtha Choudhary
This restaurant is a shame being what place its situated at. Period.
Tabassum
In love with this place. With great interior they provide delicious food which will take you to the time of mughals with shahi pinch in their dishes... Staff is very gentle, co operative and friendly and live music will melt your heart like a hot brownie...

Bad Food bad service waste of time

Royalty of Amer Fort with delicious food and friendly staff. Peaceful and Royal. They even have a private area for romantic candle light dinner for special occasions. Highly recommended.<br/>

It is located in Level 2, Jaleb Chowk, near Sheela Mata Temple, Amer Palace, Amer, Jaipur. They serve North Indian, Mughlai and Rajashthani food. They are open from 11 am to 10.30 pm. The average cost for two people is INR 2,500. <br/><br/>Food: Their lal maas is cooked to perfection and is juicy and has tender pieces of meat. It goes very well with the dudhiya roti and warqi paratha. Their zaffrani murgh korma has a taste that is impeccably tasty and it has a mild taste of saffron. Their non-vegetarian thali contains 3 non-vegetarian dishes, 3 vegetarian dishes, roti tokri and rice and kheer. Their starters like chicken malai tikka, paneer tikka, fish tikka and dahi kebab are amazing and we absolutely enjoyed it. <br/><br/>Ambiance and Amenities: They have a magnificent and opulent ambiance that you will make you feel really good. They have a wheelchair that is accessible and a smoking area as well. <br/><br/>
Akshay Khandelwal
Staff was not attentive, after pointing out from a vegetarian section that we want seekh kebab they served non veg seekh kebab, wrong info.provided about wheelchair assistance, after eating food got sick ,pathetic taste of sangria , felt like.having some juice with no wine in it.overhyped place , if there was a option to give star in negative would give that.

Grandiose next level! If you want to have a kingly meal and an equally awesome kingly feel then 1135AD is the restaurant for you! This place is GRAND beyond measures. Situated right above Amer Fort, well yes, it can't get grander than this, and surprisingly not that very expensive also, this restaurant has to be on everybody's bucket list! <br/><br/>We had the privilege of having a scrumptious lunch here in the opulence of this majestic restaurant and enjoyed it to bit! Right from the kebabs and tikkas eveyrthing was delicious. The highlight being the Ker Sangri (A very local Rajasthani dish). One definitely has to visit this restaurant at least once in their lifetime! We couldn't have gotten any better.
Ankush Nagar
Fancy. The word that will first come to your mind when u enter this place. The other words of course would be grand and opulent and absolutely royal.<br/><br/>The food is decent too.<br/><br/>All in all a place that fits the bil perfectly if u want to have an evening meal overlooking the mountains with a special someone..
Foodisbae
It was supposed to be most romantic place in town! But what we faced was exactly opposite to it. Went with high hopes came back with sad faces. No outdoor setup was there, all we were offered was a table inside the hall. It was supposed to be royal service but we felt we were sitting in some roadside dhaaba. None of the air conditioners were working we were sweating badly whole time it was difficult to breathe inside it was so damn hot.. then no cocktails were available only few varieties of beer was available. We settled for sangria then but it is a disaster who add chopped papaya and orange juice in sangria. It was awful. Then we ordered our starters which were paneer angaar and kadak seekh kebab out of which kebab was good. Main course was paneer lababdaar and gatta curry! It was worst gatta curry I ever tasted in my entire life. It was so sour and pathetic in taste! My all hopes with 1135ad shattered here at this point. staff was also not bothered as if they knew whoever have this kind of suffering doesn’t come back so why be courteous to them!
Varun
Great thing about this place is that you get most of the things....only prob you have to ask for them. I mean<br/>Ask water..get water<br/>Ask tissue ..get tissues<br/>Ask chutney....get chutney<br/>At 130 afternoon the waiters were already so exhausted, it was an unpleasant thing eating here. The food was cold, no use asking them to replace it. You know the obvious answer.<br/>They were however kind enough to inform that the ac in first and second halls wasnt working. So limited seating but nice seating.
Kirti Tiwari
Worst worst worst <br/>
Abhay Badlani
Average service and food. Went with family and used Zomato Gold. Apparently on 1+1 food (Zomato Gold), the deal is that they will only adjust 1 dish in the total bill. Not to be mostconstrued as 1 +1 on overall food bill. I was very surprised!!
Pooja
Very nice ambiance. Romantic place to visit with partner. Prices are very royal. Food is great<br/>But the height of walls are very low, I am 6' 4", when i walked to rest room, i have to bend a bit to walk through. But one of a good heritage place to visit specially for foreigners.
Misha Kapoor
Very bad experience with the staff, i have no idea what billing scam they are running, but this is to highlight to Zomato that these people used two zomato gold vouchers and yet gave discount of only one. On confrontation they denied they could adjust now after the bill! Now if you can't be first time right then have a process to amend the bill, how are they not caught in any audit till now is what i wonder on using 2golds and not paying benefits. Zomato. You should really check your memberships are with good restaurants who are transparent and not cheating customers else no point in renewing your gold membership also!

I found the Palace not the Restaurent!!! <br/><br/>when you be there you feel like you Just Enter in a Palace for Lunch/Dinner!!<br/>the ambiance is so quiet and so amazing like a Royal Palace!<br/><br/>you feel you're having food with Royal Family and the entire area was so so beautiful.<br/>the dining area and the wall art is great and staff was so polite.<br/><br/>Food was so delicious like you're having Royal Dishes with their Royal Recipes!!!<br/><br/>I never had that type of food anywhere so I'm suggesting to you when you visit Amer fort then never forget to be there!!!!!

Regal, Magnificent, Opulent and Delicious.<br/>1135 AD was bookmarked for long. And it was worth the wait..<br/><br/>Firstly the place, tucked inside the Amer Fort, very near to exit route. Just the perfect place after a stroll of the palace. When you enter you are awestruck with the sheer beauty of the place.<br/><br/>Secondly the staff were so Courteous. They make you feel as if you are part of the Royal Family.<br/><br/>Thirdly the most important part.. The food. Laal Maas the quintessential dish was cooked to perfection..to match it we had nan.. to sum up the lunch we had sweet lime..<br/><br/>The staff also gave us a tour of some private rooms of the palace. And all I can say is it was a dream come true..<br/><br/>Can't wait to be back !!👌
Madhumeeta Chauhan
I’d heard so much about this restaurant and me and my family were really looking forward to dining here. Finally got the opportunity yesterday evening.<br/>The food is at the most average. The ajwain fish tikka was under cooked and insipid. The dishes we wanted to sample ... mutton dahi bara, bater tikka & shahi tukkda were not available . <br/>There was a crumpled table cloth dumped under our table... incredulous to say the least.<br/>The restaurant is located in such a beautiful Fort it’s such a pity that the quality of food is really lacking.<br/>Quite an insipid dull affair.👎🏻
Raghu Sawhney
The ambience and location is great but the food is almost not edible. Do not order non veg. The meat is really bad. The veg food you can get through somehow.
Manu Joshi
Tasteless food which is overpriced.<br/>They don't even know how to bake roti's properly.<br/>There was no attendant and nobody bothers whether the customer is satisfied or not.<br/>This was when there were only 6 customers present in the restaurant on a Sunday night.<br/>Only two staff who were serving food as well as billing too.
Varsha Gupta
It's a place with very limited food options, highly highly overpriced as per the ambience n food quality. In pics it seems a rooftop restro but in reality its like any other close restaurant with limited sitting options., not recommended, it's better to have ur food at some other place.
Mahesh Mathur
<br/>Had heard a lot about this 'exceptional' place, which gives you royal goose bumps. It is tucked away at one corner of the fort, and you have to ask the staff to get exact directions.<br/>It seems they open the rest of the spacious halls only on prior notice. But what they have open is also pretty impressive .<br/>I ordered the two famous dishes-Laal maas and jungle maas right away,to be complimented with dudhiya roti.<br/>Starting with the dudhiya roti, this was simply excellent. Good in taste, texture and consistency. It is made with dough and milk, and is surely worth trying. Goes well with non veg.<br/>Jungle maas was supposed to be cooked earlier by rajput hunters who did not have the luxury of an organized kitchen in the woods. So mutton of their catch that day was dumped with ghee and whole red chillies and cooked away. Its modern version does justice to its history,in that it does taste rugged and earthy. With the very first bite, you can taste the ghee and whole chillies.<br/>Laal maas,on the other hand,is richer in taste, and ,since it is cooked in the kitchen (not in the jungle!),you have access to all the beautiful rajasthani spices, which lend it its unique rich flavour.<br/>Desserts I tried were the famous paan icecream (feels like you are chewing fine leaves of paan!),<br/>the rose icecream with real crushed rose petals, and the phirni(which was average). The pan icecream is highly recommended.<br/>So,this is a place where you can bring your guests who are visiting Rajasthan, and give them an awesome experience of the food and grandeur of Rajput aristocrats.<br/>
Bombay Foodie Woman
Had this place on our mind since the time we've shifted to Jaipur and it was worth it! Visited this place recently for dinner and it truly makes you feel like a royal. Limited but amazing collection of dishes on the menu. They serve alcohol as well. Their Lal Maans - not extremely spicy but so juicy and amazing! Tried Dudhiya roti and warqi paratha. Both were soft and yummy!<br/>Would love to come back here with family or for a date :)

Great great great experience to be here!!! Lavishing... Luxirious... Very much Royal... U will feel like King in their great ambience & their service!!! 😍🙏<br/>Tasted:<br/>Nonveg Thali - Contains 3 Nonveg + 3 Veg + Roti tokri + Rice + Kheer (Sweet dish)<br/>U will just luv it!!!<br/>Their special ambience section for VVIP's is so awesummm ❤️😍👌👌 U will die seeing it!!! & Will surely plan revisit again!!!<br/>Thanks team for hosting!!! 🙏❤️😊

This weekend I visited jaipur and I found this place to be wonderful and amazing. I went for the dinner. The dinner is followed with a traditional singers of Jaipur singing there heart out. I ordered for <br/>1.lal maas - next level <br/>2.zaffrani murgh korma - a very different taste not that regular chicken . It has a mild taste of saffron. So if you want to explore a new taste you can go for it, but not everyone will like the taste<br/>3.jungle Maas - next level <br/>4. Breads - do order every type of bread it was its own Uniqueness. Amazing <br/>5. Dessert - kesari phirni- not good !<br/>What let this place down was the dessert they did not have all the dishes on the menu for dessert and with that soul of every dinner is the satisfying dessert which was not available, they need to work on it. The royal dinner do require a nawab kind of dessert for sure. As a whole place is worth it and a visit is must if you are in jaipur.

There was a ceremony to happen but me and my family was in Jaipur for that last night we wanted to dine there and went to manager for any possibilities. He somehow arranged it and it was a breath taking ambiance, food was good and the staff were courteous. Thank you for making our trip complete.

Great location and courteous staff, little late but prompt.<br/><br/>Ambience- 5/5 what a great interior and amazing feel you gave with silver bowls and glasses and whine glass glasses.<br/><br/>Menu- 5/5 short and sweet with all Raj Gharanas items included<br/><br/>Service-3/5 very late but courteous so no bad feelings<br/><br/>Pricing- 5/5 at this kind of location and food which you are serving prices are properly built<br/><br/>Food- 4/5 nice taste and feel of eating is superb. Not very prompt according to Indians I guess but foreigners will love this. And a proper destination for romantic candle night date

Went all the way to the place from airport hungry since morning(no breakfast) due to so much of name, reviews. Checked on Zomato, tripadvisor, facebook page and no prior reservation was needed. On reaching the place at around 2 pm we were informed that the place was closed for customers today because of some party in evening. We requested that have traveled very long to enjoy the food over there, but the person in charge (old guy) was very rude. The old man was not even ready to listen to customers and instead was blaming that we should have called and reserved first.<br/><br/>So not sure about the food as were not able to get any there but customer service was definitely poor than a road side vendor. Not sure if people in this line are required to be reminded values of customer service.

The restaurant is located right inside the Amer fort. It is best if you plan your meal at 1135AD during your visit to Amer visit. <br/>Good points - location and ambience of the restaurant. Staff was also courteous.<br/>Improvement points - we ordered vegetarian food, but the meal was quite tasteless. The chefs needs to improve their recipes.
Tejal
This restaurant has a very very classy dream location .And that is the main highlight .It is located inside the Amber fort .Very nice cosy interiors which will totally give you the feeling of royalty .Food was good but could be better .More options can be added to the menu as also the availability of the items mentioned in the menu is something that needs to be worked on .Prices were not very high ,specially for a tourist looking for a total Palatial food experience .
Srishti Bhatia
Well to be honest I found this place to be overhyped. I mean yes you get the royal experience of eating right in the amber fort. But in all you are there for the royal food as well. I did not find the taste of the food to be worth the price for that.<br/>Also there are not much options in the menu as well. Ironically mostly you will find foreigners visiting the place for the dine out experience and not much Indians.<br/>If you are visiting Jaipur for a day or two I would suggest to try out other eating places and not this one.

If you want to witness the royalty of Jaipur this is the place to visit.<br/>The royal ambiance will give you the feel of king and queen.<br/>The food is really good but the menu is quite short and bit overpriced, but you will get to experience the royalty.

Very nice food and service. Specially service provided by Raj pal singh was awesome. The ambience is very beautiful and different. I love it.

Visited Amer fort for late night musical event yesterday. We were hungry so decided to try 1135 AD restaurant which is located near hati pol @amer fort. Entrance to this restaurant was not inviting though once i entered the main gate the ambience of open sitting area was very welcoming. Since it was windy we decided to sit inside. The inner sitting area was ok. They dont provide you with table napkins nor tissues were kept on the table.<br/>Coming to food...we were under impression that we will be able to try authentic Rajasthani food however it was just a myth. Food served was below average in test. Sercice is super slow. And one need to confirm 3 courses when you ordering Thali or they will cheat you with once course.<br/>Very highly priced. They charge you for 5 star food but in reality everything is not even 1 star. Big mistake to decide to have food here. Ay the end the bill given was handwritten. Their card payment never works. Avoid this restaurant.

Amazing service from Mr. Rajpal Singh. He was truly the highlight of our trip. He was super nice and gave us a private tour that other people rarely get. Food was ok, but service from Mr. Rajpal Singh was absolutely the best part of the meal.

Situated within the Amer Fort at a level above the Jaleb Chowk, this place truly provides a royal dining experience. Right from the location, the decor, the ambience, the staff & the food, all were in an absolute sync with the royal theme. The place gets its name from the year in which the fort was built as I was told by the staff.<br/><br/>The menu card bears the emblems of the various royal houses near the names of the dishes to indicate which house the dish originated from. I tried the Lal Maas with Dudhiya Roti & a glass of chilled buttermilk. The Lal Maas was cooked beautifully & as the name suggests was deep red gravy with visible chilli flakes which also made it quite spicy. The Dudhiya Roti which was roti made by kneading the dough with milk was nice & crisp on the outside & soft inside. It was a perfect accompaniment for the Laal Maas. The spice of the gravy was balanced with the buttermilk which was nice & creamy & provided a soothing relief. Quite an enjoyable meal.<br/><br/>A special mention for the extremely gracious & hospitable staff whose courteousness made the guests feel at home.

The restaurant is within the Amer Fort, just above the Kali Mandir. It serves Rajasthani delicacies. We ordered a plate of Mutton kebabs which we ate with doodhi rotis. It was pretty good!<br/>The bathrooms have a good ambience but were stinking!<br/>Otherwise a good experience in a historical setting!

Real disappointment. Extremely overpriced, very bad and slow service coupled with very ordinary food this place is a waste of time and money. They really deserve a poor rating.

Beautiful restaurant made my day even more fantastic. This place deserves a 10/10 rating, from its extremely delicious food to the best service which makes you feel so special and the waiters are so trained who provide you a royal service. Looking forward to visit this place soon ❤️

Best experience of a lavish dinner spread with Royalty written all over it! Located on level 2 of the Amber Palace (what a beautiful location). A must try is their Thaal-E-Amber which covers most of their best dishes across the menu! #ThebestLalMaasEver. The staff was extremely courteous and polite. Mr. S. Chouhan who was serving us was very friendly as he spared some time explaining the history and the background of the restaurant. A must visit at this magnificent restaurant when u visit Amber Fort!

the service was horrible and the food was cold and not freshly prepared. The server was very rude to us, would not recommend this place to anyone.

The experience at this restaurant has been the worst I have ever had in my life. I wish there was an option to give negative points. We chose this place on suggestion of our friends and we were reaching around 10:30 p.m. We called them and asked them if we could come so they agreed to it. When we reached we were impressed by the decor of the place. But it turned out that only decor was impressive while the service was pathetic. We ordered Tomato Shorba, Paneer Angare, and Shammi Kebab for the starters. While we were enjoying music, we were served the shorba. It was cold and the mini naans served with it were also cold. We asked them to serve us hot so they reheated the soup and served us. Till now, it was okay. Then they served us Paneer Angaare, which was again cold. We told the waiter (Mr. Vishal Singh) and he gave us a rude reply. Then he told us that he will reheat it and get it. So we told him to get the dish only if it is being freshly prepared. He told us that it can't be done and we realized that he had been serving us food which was already cooked. He refused to serve anything later and became very rude by the end. We asked for the manager and we were told by him that he is unavailable. We chose to leave that place immediately after paying for the soup.<br/><br/>We could see another person sitting there who was being attended by three or four waiters. Moreover he was being served fresh food.<br/><br/>I don't get this concept of the differentiating people as we were not having their food without paying them. Anyone who visits a restaurant deserves the service for which he/she is paying. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Amazing place no doubt..the view is amazing.<br/>however the serivice and the behaviour of the staff was really bad. Food was cold and a total mood spoiler.<br/>Only the location is attractive.

I’ve never experienced something like what I experienced at 1135AD. Set in the highest part of Amer fort in Jaipur, overlooking the Aravali hills, under the moonlit sky, It made me understand the saying, “live life king size”. I was lucky to get be opportunity to go with my family and our 4 legged toy poodle who got special permission to dine with us. We ate in the upstairs private area which has to be reserved or booked in advance. The ambience was unreal, from the shaam daanas to the chandeliers to the cutlery and the ceiling, it was all straight out of a movie set. Not to mention the Rajasthani folk duo who sang Sufi music for us all night with the santoor. <br/>We started with the appetisers outside which were chicken malai tikka, paneer tikka, fish tikka, dahi kabab which was enjoyed alongside red Coescha wine. They only serve wine, beer, scotch and vodka but I steered away from the alcohol. <br/>We shifted to the main dining table for the main meal, and along with us so did the music. We were served individual thaalis that consisted of laal Maas, jungle Maas, chicken curry, spinach and corn sabzi, Gatte ki curry, daal makhani, tandoori Betkar, lachcha parantha And rice. (My mom and sister opted for the fish instead of the chicken). We were even given the option of mint, chilli or butter garlic naan. The thaali is a great way to taste a little bit of everything but if you don’t have a hearty appetite I don’t suggest it because it’s Rs.10,000 for one. <br/>After that was over, we cleaned our hands in a rose finger bowl and on came the desserts. Delicious rose and paan ice cream, classic phirni and gulab jamun, which was the perfect end to what was an overall magnificent experience and a wonderful meal.

The resaurant at the Amber fort has very nice ambience & decor. The food & service however is very poor. The staff lack training. Tomato shorba soup was too strong in flavor, it had clearly been made from tomato puree and not fresh produce. The kebabs in the vegetarian kebab platter were not fresh and tasty. Oil had clearly been reused as there were black residue on the kebabs. Service was very slow. We came away very disappointed. Almost all the drinks on the beverages menu were not available. The only decent thing we were served was tea. What a waste of a great location and ambience. I strongly recommend not to waste your time at this place.

This place says 'royal experience' and we have had the absolute opposite. We had gone there for our anniversary lunch and to our surprise there was cleaning going on and no electricity and to top this up there was hair in the food. They didn't even seem sensitive about any of this.

<br/>The best example of marketing and over hyped place you could ever get. Yes it is located in a lovely heritage precinct of Amer Fort, and definitely a huge potential, but an almost shady place, badly maintained, shabby interiors, noisy atmosphere, horribly groomed waiters, to less than ordinary bad food; makes this a never again experience.<br/><br/>To begin with when told that it is located in the Amer Fort itself, the least one would have expected is to be taken to a spot which is a huge upward walk to the 4th story of the fort. Noteworthy that climbing up through a steep ramp is the only option. The wheelchair arrangement is almost a namesake as there is only a beg borrow and steal situation between the fort authorities, a temple in the premises and the restaurant.A wait of 45 minutes. I wonder why the restaurant could not afford one of their own.<br/><br/>Now after this badly lit  mountain climbing experience, you enter a place with practically no windows and resembles a gaudy version of a sheesh mahal room. Believe me absolutely no opening at all. So forget views!   The old carpeting and shabby ill kept furniture added to the deficit in expectations. The waiters had obviously sweated away in their uniforms and were stinking to glory. Adding to the woes is this live singer who is testing the decibels in this enclosed area, with seriously mundane songs and ghazals. A couple of requests to the staff, could not get them to stop.<br/><br/>Waiters and staff had very little knowledge of what to recommend or what was the content of a particular dish. We had a toothless member in our group who was trying to choose a soft bread. There was literally a hot debate amongst waiters in public, as to which one to recommend. Ultimately the choice made was wrong.<br/><br/>Food was less than ordinary by any standards. The Laal Maas ordered was more black then red. Full of oil and zero flavor. The veg dishes ordered were the creepiest fare in recent times. And the breads…..god save you from the dentists. The rumali roti felt like as if a scroll paper was just served instead of roti. Hard as hell.<br/><br/>The ambience was so extremely poor, that one wonders why we visited such an expensive restaurant. It was no short of a baudy mujrah house. This could be supported by the mens wash room, which has pictures of half naked women on every cubicle. Why on earth……povert!<br/><br/>Long and short, irrespective of what rave reviews you may read, be sure not to keep hopes any higher than ground levels.<br/>

Wonderful Location, great ambience. Feels like a royal dining. But the taste dampens the mood. And to top it off, management is cheating, saying that their printer is out of order, so handwritten bill will be provided, plus they refuse to take cards. Only cash. Just another way to cheat both the consumer and the government of the taxes. And on reading other reviews, its very evident that this has been going on for quite some time.

Good place good interiors. Had been in my wish list for long and finally got a chance to visit this place. Great courteous staff. We had pre booked the place since they are usually full over weekends. Tried the famous jungle chicken and laal mass. Great flavour of food and experience.

If one place in Jaipur can make your experience a nightmare, it is 1135 AD. Strongly discourage people from going to this overhyped place with rude staff and below average quality food. <br/><br/>We were 4 adults and 2 kids and had pre-booked a table for our dinner. On arriving, we took our table and ordered food.<br/><br/>Our soup came 30 mins later. As opposed to what I read in reviews about royal silverware crockery, the soups were served in regular bone china bowls, with soup quantity less than half the bowl, making it look like a leftover item. The taste was nothing to speak about as the Badam Shorba tasted like milk powder. <br/><br/>By the time we finished our soup, we felt that the temperature inside was warm and the ACs were not effective, so we requested to serve our main course at one of the tables in the outdoor area. It was 9:50 pm, and the restaurant closes at 10:30 pm. There were eight vacant tables outside but the staff refused to give one of them because ‘someone might come and want to sit outside’. Into them there are eight vacant tables, but they simply maintained their absurd argument. <br/><br/>Anyway, the food came after another 15-20 mins. To my surprise, my dish was not at all what I had ordered. As I called a waiter to highlight it, he said ‘we didn’t have mint today so we added spinach’ !!! Everything that’s green isn’t mint! This blew my mind off the second time. I asked them to replace it with another dish. By the time the second dish arrived, it was about 10:30 pm and everyone had left. The breads were cold and so was the staff. <br/><br/>We started eating and another surprise awaited us. The butter naan was not made of just atta but it had some elements of sand in it, making it in edible. The staff offered to get another bread but by this time we were more in a mood to leave the place than spending time there and waiting for another horrible experience. <br/><br/>However, things don’t end here. The bill they brought was a pen and paper bill with the reasoning that the machine is not working. When we insisted, an electronic bill was given. <br/><br/>I believe the staff is arrogant and needs training in hospitality. Even for water we had to call several times. Probably the foreigner visitors are keeping this place going, but it’s not worth anyone’s time and effort to visit this place. Jaipur offers hundreds other dining options better than 1135 AD. <br/><br/>Your time has gone, 1135 AD!<br/><br/>

Royalty. Inside and out.<br/>We had thaal-e-jodha with veggie varieties.. Dal and paneer were real good.. It also included Potato, ker sangri, gatte. One paneer tikka piece.<br/>In Desserts we had kheer and gulab jamun. Yup, they were tasty.<br/>And yes it's pricey. But hello people! It's Amer!<br/>The ambience is amazing. Staff is pretty good too.

In the pink city enjoying the grey weather and craving the red Maans and surrounded by lush green we ended up in 1135 AD inside the Amber Fort. The narrow confusing lanes and numerous signs and a steep climb finally landed us in 1135. Impressive royal decor but unimpressive food. Ordered the laal maas which was brown maas didn't look fresh and had many bones and there was no gravy.. On asking why there isn't much gravy in the dishes the answer that I got was its made this way only.. Laal Maas has very little gravy. The other korma that we ordered was few pieces of chicken in a thick yellow paste like gravy which was again very little. Both the dishes that we ordered were very very little in quantity it wasn't even enough to submerge a whole spoon.. The food was in the bottom of the dish.. The taste was okaish nothing to write about even.. The गट्टा pulav that i ordered was nice with very flavourful rice just like a biryani with loads of flavour of saffron and the likes.. The A C's weren't on hence it was quite hot. (Another Put off). Had read about this place hence wanted to try but was really sad after visiting it.. For dessert we had #digene. 😉😉😉😉

Transports you back in time to a Maharaja dining experience. The walls are hand painted in a traditional style and the food is authentic and reasonably priced. Worth the visit if you're at Amer Fort!

Such a disappointing place as compared to its publicity and pictures.. we went in August. It was afternoon and went dere for some drinks and lunch. Now listing d disappointments-<br/>1- No fans or AC covering d entire seating area.. u cant choose a place of ur choice cos u will be forced to sit at the place where ac cools.<br/>2- Only royal in pics.. i think they are done with this royal things thats why d only thing left is d royal crockery with dem thats it.. rest all is as poor as a local dhaba.. its a dirty place where u can see numerous spots on d velvet chair u will sit.. on d table cloth they have..<br/>3- we asked for lemonade and breaking all barriers of royalty..the waiter was coming with a glass in his hand and dat too d normal glass.. Icing on d cake was d most pathetic lemonade one can ever have.. to ruin a lemonade kind of a simple drink is a bit difficult but these guys mastered in it..<br/>4- too too over priced.. 60% of items available on menu will be unavailable due to some or the other circumstances..<br/><br/>Such a pathetic restaurant in jaipur is hard to find.. so if u want to experience poorest royalty please visit this place..<br/><br/>Rating in NEGATIVE if possible..<br/>

Went here with my husband on recommendation through Fairmont Hotel.. it's on top of the Amer fort and you have climb up if not you can take a buggee as well.. we climbed up and it was worth it..<br/>The AC as soon as you enter... It feels like heaven..😍 they welcomed us with a mint green drink which was chilled and sweet 👍<br/>Ambience was good..We could feel we were sitting in a fort.. many famous celebs have also visited this place and they have their pictures hanging on the walls..<br/>We ordered their famous Lal Maans along with butter naan... which was mind blowing.. the gravy was so thick and flavourful and the mutton was very soft.. the naan was also very fluffy and yum..<br/>We also ordered their chicken biryani it's not on the menu but Mr.Vishal Singh was very kind to arrange it for us.. that was one of the best Biryani's I have ever tasted.. it was just top notch.. 👍👍 loved every bit of my experience here.. will definitely be back here when I'm in Jaipur 😍<br/><br/>

Pathetic place for vegetarians. Over priced. They have tried to give it a royal touch but the congested sitting makes you uncomfortable, which doesn’t solve the purpose. We ordered veg food, which we couldn’t eat and had to leave as it is. The service was horrible, we had to literally go and call out for the waiter. Overall I would never ever recommend anyone to go there and waste their hard earned money.<br/>Ambience: 2/5<br/>Food: 1/5<br/>Service: 1/5

I visited this place because it was highly recommended by many Sources. But my experience was not that good. It had a good Ambience but the services were not up to the mark. I had to ask them for everything like even for water. I had to wait for around 50 minutes to get my order served. The taste of the food was ok ok. The laal mans had a little bit of curry and lots of red chilly in it. I found the place to be over-priced.<br/>Overall it was a good experience.<br/>Service-3/5<br/>Taste-3/5<br/>Ambience-4.5/5

Overpriced average food! This restaurant is in Amer palace with scenic view and nice ambience. We went there to enjoy the royal ambience and try their kurkuri raita. Being a vegetarian we ordered their paneer speciality which was just average. And unfortunately we didn't get kurkuri raita to taste as well. Heard good things about their non veg specialities but now I am suspicious on that too!

This is one of a kind experience, must visit dining experience to everyone who visits jaipur!! Make sure it’s winter you will thank me for this. <br/>Please do try the shorba and the junglee Lal Maas and the regular lal maas as well. <br/>Paan Ice cream is delicious. <br/>The ambience and the way this place is designed and the service the staff provided us was just simply out of this world. <br/>Has to be done by everyone at least once.

This was my second visit and I went with high hopes. My last meal at this restaurant was two years ago and had left great impression on my palate. This time was another story. Average food at best. Ordered Lal Maas-  turned our to be too salty. Kebabs were overcooked.  I had asked my driver to join in- It was apparent that the staff did not appreciate that gesture. They were discourteous and ignored the person sitting on my table for most of the service. Will never visit this place again.

I went to this place yesterday. The ambience is really good. The staff was a bit slow in responding. We received napkins after our starters. Even no1 asked us for water preference, until we asked for water and they mentioned that only bottled water is available as RO is not working. <br/>The food is tasty and quantity is also sufficient. I had issues with bill payment as their swipe machine wasn’t working and they directly asked for cash. Somehow I had cash, so I paid the bill but they must understand that it’s not all the time, one will be carrying cash in big amounts to pay them. They were clueless, when asked for other payment options. <br/>Overall, one must go there for ambience and good quality but the staff co-ordination and response needs to be improved.

One of the worst experience so not get distracted they charge for set menu but they cheat you and serve very small portion and when u ask for repeat they would deny. Manager vikram singh behaviour is also very rude in behaviour no manners and was rushing in service as they want to get our table clear in 5 min. I end up not eating food as felt very bad about service level.<br/><br/>I took 23 guest for lunch on my birthday and they totally spoilt it and they charged advance also for reservation also.<br/><br/><br/>Ankush jain<br/><br/>

I had one of the best evening in this restaurant. Beautifulllll ambience, soothing live music, yummy food & royal feel. Their paan ice cream & rose ice cream are must try. It's advisable to go by a private vehicle because post 8.30-9pm it's almost impossible to get a cab or any local vehicle.<br/><br/>Food- 3.5/5<br/>Ambiance- 5/5 <br/>Royal feel- 10/5 :D<br/>Services- 4/5<br/>Value for money- 4/5

Ambiance is nice but service is poor. basic hygen is compromised! you really don't feel royal what they claim. Net net you are not missing anything if you don't come here.
