Review Kanha Sweets - Amritsar

Rahul Malhotra
Amritsars’s favourite breakfast place. Poori platter is the go for everyone here. There serve you a plate with salad Chole and Aloo sabzi with is sweet in taste. And then the serve you poori hot and fresh as they come. Do try halwa and gulab jamun after the poori breakfast. Sweets are to dir for 😍

Craving for Chole puri, bathure, with some mild chillies and achaar. This is where should land yourself. And yes parking 🅿️ is a mess.

If you are in Amritsar, you must come here for breakfast. It’s one of the famous breakfast points and food here is fabulous. Poori Chole comes with tangy, sweet aloo ki sabji. The Halwa is made of ghee and Gud (jaggery) The lassi is very good too. This is not a restaurant so don’t bother about the ambience. You have to take a coupon from a guy standing near to the sitting area, the waiting time here is around 10 mins. Also, the payment has to be done inside sitting area.
Shiv Gangwani
It’s one of the famous joint to have Puri , sabzi and chole. Do try their lassi and gud ka halwa( Jaggery halwa) , best puri and halwa ever. There is waiting during the weekend, service is fast .

Recommending 5 stars for the food they serve. Eat Puri with chickpeas deep-fired on pure Desi ghee. The food was so filling and finger licking. Recommended place for having Sunday Puri Chana.
Shubham Jindal
A great place to have breakfast and lunch. Amritsari Puri is a must try which is served with Chhole and tangy Alu sabzi. Available till 3 PM only. Mango Lassi is also good. Also tried their Gur ka Halwa and Mawa Malpua which were both good.

Incredibly tasty food. Everything made in Desi ghee. I would recommend that satpura and the pinni both of which were very tasty. It's on Lawrence road so it's very Central and easy to get to. Definitely a place to be on your itinerary when in Amritsar.
Abhidha Saluja
This place deserves totally a 5/5 but for the location of restaurant, not on the main road but a little inside the street. Food quality vs. the pricing is great. One plate of two poories + chana + two types of potatoes curry + aachaar only for a cost of Rs. 120 with that you get unlimited supply of chana & potatoes curry. Even Lassi is coated with malai on top. Even if you are in Amritsar for a day, this place is not worth missing at all.

Must try outlet when you are in Amritsar, waiting time on weekends but worth the wait. The poori is fried in pure ghee which is really soft aloo sabzi is kinda sweet and the Chole is spicy perfectly combined for the taste buds gulp it down with the malai lassi Reasonable price and courteous staff Don’t miss out if you’re in Amritsar

I went there on my Amritsar trip after hearing some great reviews from people and it didn't disappoint. The puri’s are made in pure desi ghee and is delicious. It is served with spicy chole and the tangy launji. The attending person is very calm and polite and the service is also appreciable. Don't miss out on the Lassi post your breakfast. The prices are very reasonable, making it an excellent value for money. Overall, Kanha Sweets is a great place to indulge in traditional Punjabi cuisine, and highly recommended for anyone visiting Amritsar.

Sometime ago I had tasted their poori chole(chickpea),Lassi and Gur ka halwa. They serve 2 large sized poori and unlimited chole made from desi ghee and a sweet tangy potato curry. The lassi was also up to the mark as it was chilled and consist of a thick layer of malai(cream). Gur ka halwa was also very delicious it was loaded with dry fruit. They have a welll managed and a good sitting area inside. So overall a perfect place for having poori.

Totally loved the food. Lassi was very good especially- not too sweet like other places and good quantity. Poori chole was amazing. The place is so full all the time so you would probably have to wait.

Chhole Poori @ Kanha Sweets, Lawrence Road, Amritsar

Taste - 5, Quantity - 5, Quality - 4, Hygiene - 3, Service - 4, Ambiance - 3, Price - Cheap

Verdict - Must Eat This

Kanha Sweets welcomes you with a scene of chefs taking out hot steaming pooris from a huge kadhai. The pooris are served with delicious chhole (chickpeas' curry) and fresh salad. The pooris are hot & crispy. Do visit this place & get a heartwarming meal.

P.S. Their Gur ka Halwa is also amazing. No professionalism at all with these people. Service people here are ultra stupid and working like donkeys just from one task to another and does not care even a single bit about the consumer. Places like these should be boycotted where they can’t take care of their customers. Very bad experience.

In the holy Land of Amritsar, where the vibes of Shri Harmandir Sahib are flowing throughout the air, this little spot is one which is truly blessed, and for some lip-smacking reasons too.
Arrive here, and u will be guided to a little sitting area, so get in and get comfy.
Don't ask for the menu, because u won't need it.
Just say to the chap who zones to you eagerly, Puri Chole!
Sit back, pull ur stomach back inside tightly and release.. Because u will want it to flex like Arnold posing very soon!
When the dish arrives, its piping hot puri, with chole masala and a tangy potato....
Start eating, and also praying to God that he helps you stop ordering more then u can swallow.....
Absolute brilliance!,!

Amazing food in Amritsar 👍👍👍

Lasssssii after BRUNCH!!!!
It's right on the main road and has an old and a new setup. We did a Brunch of Chhole Kulche at Sanjha Chulha and despite being loaded had a Lassi at Kanha and can you believe that we relished every sip of that sweet loaded Lassi topped with thick malai! It was delicious and loved by all right from 8 year old daughter to 65+ parents
Maninder
I order channa and puri from kanha it was so spicy and cold

Amazing good Taste specially Aloo ki Launzi and Puri without oil Must try Place far better than overly hyped and pricey places
Beingamritsari🐒
Best Puri shop in town. The Puris are served with aloo ki sabzi known as longi and chole with seasonal achar. Having it in breakfast with a Big glass of lassi will make your day. Don't forget to have it's gur da karah. Super yummy.
Sumit Khurana
Ordered gur ka halwa. I must tell you the best halwa me and my family had. Its for sure everytime i Will visit amritsar i will get this halwa for my family.
Anmol Singh Khalsa
Excellent choley sabzi which they serve with poori and sweet aloo subzi. Choley were too good with the poori. Pricing is little bit higher for an extra poori i believe otherwise taste is damn good here.
Vikas Bajaj
Aloo sabji must have option sweet & not sweet
Amitava Bhowmick
The aalu sabji is the most unique, with sweet n sour taste.
The lassi is the best of amritsar
Andee Hyderabadi
The best poori in India !! There I said it.

I will keep this review short and precise: if you want to eat the tastiest pinni in world, come to Kanha Sweets in Amritsar. The taste of their pinni is heavenly. I have tried pinni at home and at so mamy sweet shops across India but the taste of their pinni can not be matched. It is simply THE BEST.❤
Vasu Sharma
Best chole Puri I have ever eaten , a must visit place in Amritsar ,although we had to wait outside for our turn , it was worth it and their staff and service both were excellent
Vinay Gupta
Great service delivery given very fast and prompt 5 star to delivery boy and kanha . Food is delicious . Excellent every thing . I recommend them always
R Kumar
This place is touristy..crowdy with bad food. It does not look hygenic and service guys are really rude. I will recommend completely avoidance of this place. There are other shops nearby where you can have food. Conclusion: completely avoid it.
Vikash Mantri
One of the most recommended place for breakfast in amrtisar and it lives up to the hype with simple puri chole and Aloo ki launji. Topped it with a lassi and skipped the Alphonso lassi . Service is fast and one can take unlimited serving of chole and aloo . Will recommend
Harsh Naraini
Definitely, A must have breakfast option. Served with chane and a tangy aaloo sabzi and onion, the poori tastes really good. It was fluffy, crisp and the mango lassi complemented the poori.
A must have recommendation when in Amritsar.
The_travel_express
The best poori chole ever ...perfectly cooked pooris in pure desi ghee and brought to the table while they are piping hot.. really liked the taste of their aloo ki sabzi which is called launji served with salad ...
I loved it but their gur Ka halwa is to die for ,a burst of flavours in the mouth, you just have to experience that....
Overall a must visit place 👌

I had ordered today 5 plates poori chana and 2 Lassi after receiving I had checked but not receive lassi after calling they accepted but after starts eating we notice that poori chana we received with aloo launji the taste was very very bad and it’s gives old smells we call them but the shopkeeper Denies but after our hard talk on telephone with him he accepted but my breakfast which I want to get it with Happiness it feels me worst experience and also my all family members was very sad with this worst experience and told me that never ever you order anything from Kanha sweets who sells poor quality of food products and poor service of Zomato

It's very famous place at Lawrence road

I have tried there famous Poori-chole served with launji(tangy aloo sabzi),chole and 2 pooris.

There poori is special kind of bhature which actually is very tasty.
Chole are perfectly spiced that goes well with the pooris and launji.

Going to Amritsar and not having lassi is not possible. I tried there lassi also ,it was great in taste with perfect sweetness.

Poori sabji is served from morning(breakfast) as it is there famous dish. Also if lassi accompanies poori sabji it's complete yummy breakfast for you guys.
Gurmerapita
A famous place in Amritsar for poori and chole along with few other things..the taste is wonderful, good quality and quantity on genuine price..

Food - 5/5
Value for money - 4.5/5

Whenever I hear "Best breakfast in Amritsar", Kanha Sweets is the first name that pops up in my head! It's a small place that is mainly known for its special Chole-Poori. Also, the Mango Lassi served here is quite amazing!
The Chole-Poori plate consists of chhole, a tangy potato sabzi(launji) and 2 Pooris. Their Pooris are a special kind of Bhature which taste really amazing! The chhole is perfectly spiced and goes very well with the Pooris and the launji. Just loved the whole combination! The chhole is unlimited but they charge extra for the extra Pooris.

So, if you're in Amritsar for a while, you must definitely visit this place once and savour the heavenly breakfast served here! :)

Shamsher Singh
Best place for poori chole but its a little expensive as it cost 100 rs. for 2 poories bit its ok also in terms of location n sitting arrangement. Situated on Lawrence Road area at a prime location, its a must try when you visit amritsar
Bhawna Chandra
Busiest place in Lawrence road. Place is fine but food is amazing. Had Sunday morning breakfast here and I was delighted by its taste and by seeing how they run it. Its totally worth watching. Had Chole Poori and aloo sabzi which is little sweet but tastes yum with poori.
Planned amritsar trip?
Try this for breakfast.

P.S. Dont forget to try mango lassi.
Shweta Ghayal
We had a food trail in Amritsar and this is a MUST VISIT place!!! DO NOT MISS THIS!
Staff is very friendly and I spoke to people in charge of making Pooris and they were very nice to answer my questions.

When you roam around in Amritsar, some of the most awesome food serving places aren’t fancy in ambience at all! But THEY SERVE THE MOST DELICIOUS FOOD! so let’s not focus on ambience.. it’s just a basic restaurant!

MUST HAVE: LASSI - second best we had in Amritsar (gaadhi lassi) beautifully sweet and nice to savor!

CHOLE PURI- extremely puffed up pooris and good taste of chole! The best one I loved was aloo sabji - perfectly sweet and tangy in each bite! Oh I wish I knew how to make it every single day 😋!

Halwa- extremely ghee drowning sweetness, no other noticeable taste! Didn’t enjoy much!

Early morning breakfast in Amritsar famous
Breakfast joint in Lawrence road mango lassi is best recommend all you have once in lifetime
I enjoyed a lot Desi ghee food
Foodiefrom Amritsar (Shailja Sehgal)
Unarguably the best breakfast in the world. Poori which are double fried and made of peethi(dal) and sweet potato sabzi with salted chana sabzi. Best is their salad which tangy and sour carrots(soaked for days in tangy water) to make it yummeir. For me no breakfast in world can beat this

Must try their yummy lassi and halwa

No one can beat their gur ka halwa which is a speciality in winters, their sweets are good too but you can find better sweets but kanha is known for their breakfast which is bestest

Ambience: 3.5/5
Food: 5/5
Staff: 3.5/5
Location: 3.5/5
Geeta Hansaria
Kanha was just perfect. It had extremely yum pooris which are double fried so they are crisp! The sabji was nice and so was the pickle! Am so glad we went here during our trip to Amritsar! It’s good food !

This very place in Amritsar is my favourite brunch spot, and their aloo chole pooris are the highlight here!

Their Aloo ki Subzi has an amazing tangy punch and with pooris it tastes exceptional. Though chole are more of a disappointment. But still their fluffy pooris and Aloo ki Subzi struck the right chords to my heart.

My personal fav in amritsar🤩🤩
AishwaryaJain
Definitely one the best places in Asr for some yummy desi breakfast! The aloo poori and chole are just too good. Miss it already. A glass of lassi with the meal is a must have to complete a true punjabi breakfast. I want to go back now!
Nishu Grover
A much hyped place to try amritsari Puri, kulchas and sweets.
The place is very old and keeping up with tradition, preparations taste almost same over the years .
They have rennovated floors above this tiny outlet to accommodate sitting for families but the sitting is very average and the place lacks little hygeine at times.
Taste is unbeatable. The poori sabzi is awesome. We tried kulchas this time.Super thin, very generous helping of filling, complimentary rounds of refilling you f cholle, pickle etc makes it a must try affair .
The only issue is a proper ambience and cutlery.
The gud halwa is a must try too.
Apoorva Singh
Chole puri and Lassi!! ❤ The best of all taste is what you get at Kanha sweets where we had our last day breakfast while leaving back home from Amritsar!
Tip: Try reaching early in the morning by 9 AM to avoid too much crowd and enjoy your meal!
They serve few varieties of lassi but even the simplest of them all tastes heavenly! Delicious poori with Chole here are a MUST TRY when in Amritsar. 👍

Pinni , is a sweet dish made with urad dal 💓
if you wish to get something for your family dont forget to get this packed ❣️
lot Of variety of Sweet Dishes here. Delicious Samosa Also available here .
This place is famous for there poori chole
They serve it with channe and potato sabji
Potatoes are cooked in sweet flavor and taste was very unique
service is very fast
Do try this place
Wanderer
Average seating arrangement, pathetic waiters and THE BEST POORI CHANA in the world...literally. the alu ki launj served with poori has a unique sweet & tangy taste which you don't find outside Amritsar.. and their gur ka halwa is a must try too.
Sushant Singh
Overcrowded. Waiting time can upto hours on holidays and Sundays. Tried poori aloo chana, lassi and Gur ka halwa. Gur ka halwa is divine. Aloo sabzi is too good. Completely different.
Deepika Malani
Kanha Sweets was our brunch spot, if I may. With lots of people, lots of kids, we started the day pretty late. Add to that stopping to buy shoes for the child because his big toe was pushing the shoe walls a bit much and it was high time to get his shoe sized up. Once we got there, it was a quick meal. The breakfast platter, came with chole and aalu ki sabzi. One bite of it with fried pooris and I realized it was more like aalu ki launji – sweet and sour dish, usually done with raw mangoes, but the taste was on point. It’s the nigella seeds that bring out that peculiar flavour.
Mannat Sekhon
This place serves my ideal cheat meal for breakfast. Freshly made hot puris , fried in desi ghee with white Channa and aaloo laungi.
I love the sweetness of the aaloos , and the spiciness from the channas with crisp and flaky puris fresh from the frying pot . You can accompany this with a glass of lassi and some halwa to end the perfect brunch on a lazy winter Sunday.
Nehmat
we tried poori chana, along with aloo ki sabzi and Gur ka halwa and now I know what the hype is about.Amazig food! Aloo ki sabzi has this khatta meetha mango chutney sort of taste to it, which is so delicious and so different.chana is just the right amount of spicy.gur ka halwa was really good too!
This is going to be my go-to-place for poori chana etc
Vivek Agarwal
I ordered their famous chhole poori. Chhole were full of oil. I'll never recommend this place to eat when you are in AMRITSAR. I had to throw all the curry which was not good to waste the food.
Pranav Jain
The best puri in town is here and nowhere else to be. Surely one of the best lassis if not the best. One of the most preffered sunday morning spots for most people in town.
Rajath
A legendary eatery on the famous Lawrence Road. It’s more of a bakery than a restaurant. The bakery is crowded right from the moment it opens in the morning. We dropped into their restaurant section to try out their breakfast. Had poori bhaaji which was delicious. Also tried luchi, both in fried and non fried forms.

Tried few of their exceptionally good sweets on the way out after breakfast.

Overall, a place not to miss when in Amritsar.

When someone says Chhole Bhature, 'Kanha Sweets' is the 1st name name that pops up in my head! Its a small place which serves only chhole bhature in savoury and a variety of indian sweets.

The plate consists of chhole, launji which is a tangy potato sabji, pickled carrots, raw onions and 2 bhature. The chhole is perfectly spiced and soul satisfying and served piping hot. It goes very well if mixed with the launji. The bhature are soft on the inside, crisp on the outside, basically absolutely perfect.
The place serves unlimited chhole and charges for every bhatura over the 2 that is already a part of the dish.
We visited the place early in the morning at 8am and hence didnt have any difficulty hunting for a table. The service is good and prompt.
One can also try the gud ka halwa which is served piping hot.
Fr0ntilne_view
It is famous for its poori and we would second it because it is delicious and so is the amazing halwa.

#food #foodie #foodblogger #foodlover #delhiblogger #phonephotography #foodphotography #frontline_view #wanderlust #globetrotter

This is another place to be topping the list when you plan to visit Guru ki Nagri Amritsar.

Kanha sweets is very popular sweet shop on Lawrence road. Its more famous for its puri channe than sweets and trust me...the flavour would be a treat to your taste buds

This restaurant is mainly crowded and has huge waiting on weekends for breakfast but whatever it takes to wait...it will be all worth.

The crispy puri, sweet aloo ki sabzi and chatpate channe will re invite you to the city.

I love this place and don't miss out on it whenever I m in Amritsar.

The best desti ghee puri one can have. Have tried the puri subzi in. Many outlets but nothing comes ever closer to it. They also serve so delicious halwa with plam sugar. Which is really unique and delicious.
Sneha Sharma
A breakfast place. This place serves aloo puri channa and Pyaaz. The poori is light and fluffy, the aloo is quite towards the sweet side and can be a miss for some people. The channa’s are less
Spicy and all in all a good meal.
Prikshit Mahajan
My most favourite place in Amritsar. I visit here everytime I visit the city. Great taste great quality. The only drawback is the service of staff.
Foodie Dilse
Nice place to have breakfast with friends and family. I think it’s hard to find their competitor in field of poori choole that they server.
Very delicious and rich blend of spices.
Thumbs up..👍
Harsh Mankad
Went with a lift of expectations and wasn't disappointed. Fantastic chana, launji(tangy potato curry) and poori. Also tried the halwa which was soaked in desi ghee. Must try for breakfast.
Ritu Singhal
This was one of the most heard places and recommended by people when I told them I was going to Amritsar.

The rush is mad on a Sunday morning but the wait was worth it.

They have a fixed thali menu with lassi. Fixed thali consists of chole, aloo sabzi and kachori/puri.

The aloo sabzi is so good and different in taste that you cannot have enough of it. It is a recipe which we would try to experiment with at home.

A must visit place when you are in Amritsar.
Akshay Kumar
I visted this place with some of my friends. The ambience and food service is good. We ordered Chole puri and Lassi. The taste of puri Chole was quite good.
Satinder Pal Singh
I with two of my friends while travelling to amritsar had a chance to have brunch at this sweet shop, The shop is open only till 2 P.M and the only option available to eat is cholle poori/allo poori (with unlimited subzi and two poori).

So, ordered cholle poori at the air conditioned sitting area behind the sweet shop and as expected it was the best taste of cholle poori I have ever had. Loved it and also the alphonso lassi with it.
Arpit Arya
It's an amazing place to be if you love sweets.puri/Bhature Cholle is best for breakfast in town along with pede.Their jalebi and halwa is also decent.
Keshav
ate their chole bhature it was good would defiently reccomend it.we went their 2 pm
they serve breakfast till around 3 o'clock.i was expecting them to be crowded but they the shop was emptyi would say you should go their defiently atleast once.

I had visited Amritsar in last week of July 2018. Went to this place on Sunday morning and got food packed for our way back. The chole puri tasted yum even after 4-5 hours of being packed. Would love to have it fresh. Also got packed Badana, Besan Laddoo and Gur Ka Halwa. The Halwa is a specialty of this place and tastes very different. Not everyone may like it. But worth trying for people who have a sweet tooth. There are two shops with similar name my review is for the old Kanha Sweets. Also all sweets here are prepared in desi ghee.
Abhishek Bansal
One of the best Pooris one can have. Perfectly cooked Pooris in desi ghee which does not equate to heaviness at all.
Gem of their offering is the potato sabji which is called as launji.its a sweet and sour potato gravy.
Couldn't try their other speciality which is Gur ka halwa.

Ravinder
It's worth going to Kanha once but I wouldn't say it's a must! Especially if you are from Delhi and are used to the chhole bhature culture in Delhi.

Expect a tinge of sweetness in the potatoes (usually people don't expect that) and the overall food being very palatable, no extreme flavors. Lassi as usual is a must when you're eating this kind of food, especially in Amritsar.

I would go once, but no repeats for me!
Kulraj Singh
Amazing taste must try puri thali specially aalu lounji fast service we ordered chole puri thali lassi gud ka halwa delicious.
Taste 4/5
Service 4/5
Food 4/5
Value for money 4/5
When visit amritsar must try kahna sweets at Lawrence road.

Good food ! The Puri and the Chole are amazing .
Lassi is pretty sedating and will ensure that you have a sleepy Sunday .
Try coming around 10ish because that’s when the place is very lively
a must visit place while in amritsar ... they serve POORI CHOLE and we went on sunday for breakfast ... after a waiting of nearly half an hour, we were seated and then came the thali with CHOLE, AALU LAUNJI and ONIONS. you may ask for pickle and it is served too. and then came the POORIs ... the fluffy, round, crisp and hot pooris ... they serve you one poori at a time, so that you get piping hot next poori.
they charge you for a minimum of 2 poori (which means Rs 80) and you may eat as many pooris as you want @ Rs 40 for each extra poori .... chole & sabzi are unlimited
you may order for gur ka halwa as well as lassi ... there are not much other options here, except sweets
quick service and nice courteous staff. highly recommended

When in Amritsar, don't miss this place. KANHAIYYA (KANHA) SWEETS, located at Lawrence Road, Amritsar is just mindblowing. Whenever you are in Amritsar you should try their CHOLLE PURI. The restaurant serves only Cholle Puri in 80 INR with unlimited Cholle, Aaloo Sabjee and Salad. You'll love the Aaloo Sabjee as it's made up of raw mangoes and jaggery. The Puris are crisp and very light as they are less oily. You cannot miss eating here !

Varun Rampal
A famous place for having Poori in Breakfast here.
They serve Poori with Launji and Chhole. Lassi also available here. Poori was good and so was lassi.
They also serve a Double Poori which is one single poori made of two pooris.
Tara Malhotra
I wanted to rate it 3.7 but it didn’t give me the option ! Good food and service :) loved the crispy bhatura, the sweet & spicy potato curry and the halwa Would recommend for a meal ! Even the lassi was yum !

Most amazing experience, once again, at Kanha Sweets... my first introduction to Kanha was about 30 years back and have been a loyal patron ever since... each visit when I am in Amritsar, Kanha’s has to be my one most special breakfast!! And what I love about their poori Aloo is that it’s not over loaded with mirch masala and the khatti meethi Aloo ki launj makes for a perfect combo with the Chana and pyaaz.
Rahul Sachdeva
I was visiting Amritsar and went to this place after receiving much recommendation, high hopes and an empty belly. Mistake.
It’s mad famous for it’s puri chole aloo which I couldn’t understand why. They had a waiting too and I waited almost 15-20 minutes.
1. Chole - 2.75/5. Lacked flavour, spice, consistency and what not. My mother makes it way better. Also, every other vendor like bikanerwala, Haldiram and even street vendor could make it better.
2. Aloo - 3/5. They have a total different taste which somewhere I kinda liked. Tasted sweet, spicy and sour all at the same time. Had a hint of Aam papad flavour. But somehow I feel that I cannot eat a puri with such aloo. They tasted good but not with puri.
3. Meethi Lassi - 4.5/5. Not heavy. Not lite. Not extra sweet. Not less sweet. Just right. With malai. #mastpunjabi
4. Halwa - 4/5. I don’t know what but it was so lite and had such a mild sweet taste that I couldn’t stop.
Overall 3.5/5
I felt that it is way overrated and if you are visiting Amritsar then there are many more joints to try and this could be skipped.
Period.

Name: Chhole Aloo Puri @ Kanha Sweets
Review: The total 6 hour drive from delhi to amritsar was worth for this, stopped here for breakfast at amritsar. the Poori sabji comes with two sabzi namely chhole and and aloo both were extremely delicous as they way they look above.
The Naughty Foodie
Went specially for lunch at 3pm but waiter told us that they cant serve as everything is over but there were alot of tables served at that moment.. bad attitude and no customer service.
Manisha Choraria
We had the aloo puri and lassi and it had the authentic taste of Punjab and both the items were equally good. You wouldn't find much oil in the food as well. Good for those who avoid oily food! :D
Vinamra Saxena
Great option for breakfast. We skipped out traditional buffet at our hotel and instead went to this restaurant for breakfast.
No menu card. They only serve poori sabzi and lassi.
U get 2 pooris with chhole and aaloo ki sabzi. Aaloo sabzi was sweet.
All the preparation is in desi ghee. Good option for breakfast.
I was in Amritsar and chose Kanha sweets for breakfast as it’s an all time family favourite .

What I had ?
#aloo #chole #puri and #gurkakada

What I liked the most?
I loved it all but their gur ka kada is to die for. I parcelled and got some back as well.

Pricing : Around ₹200 for 3 of us

What I thought?
This was definitely one of the best and most memorable breakfasts I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely return here. This place sent me into a food coma.

If u love Chole Bhatura then this is the place where u will find the best. Went there twice for breakfast in my 2 day stay in Amritsar. The place is not so upscale but the food is fab.

A must go to place for breakfast in Amritsar, with the heavens launji accompanying a piping hot plate of poori. Wash it down with a glass of lovely lassi and you're powered up to explore the city.

One of the best places to have your breakfast in Amritsar. Its crowded on most days, a testimony of the fact that how popular it is. They have a set menu- Poori chhole, Lassi. The pooris are served piping hot, chhole are delicious and with very less masalas. They also serve a sweet sour potato sabzi also known as launji, it was delicious.

Also try the Gur halwa, the halwa made of jaggery. The gur halwa was absolutely bliss. If you are in Amritsar, do try this place for breakfast and a array of sweets.

This place makes amazing poori chola. A league above the rest . Highly recommended. Begin your day with this place . Remember to go early as they are generally sold out by lunch . Definitely worth a repeat visit

The best meal that we had in our trip to amritsar. This small and not so famous outlet beats the famous Dhabas and kulcha places hands down in the taste department. Serves only puri chana with aloo sabji and pickled carrot and onions that too till 3pm. Every item in the plate was delectable. Gur halwa in dessert was also unique though OK in taste. Would have given it a 5 star if not for the lack of hygiene which is a common issue with all amritsar joints. If you are in amritsar, go for it.

Heard lot about it so thought on visiting this place for breakfast when I visited Amritsar. Ordered Poori and Halwa. The taste was nice they serve with two sabzi and salad which has black carrot in it which compliments the poori very much. I think the Poori is normal not the one best as its over hyped a lot. The Gur ka Halwa was nice very less sweet giving very nice flavour a must try if you visiting that place.

For Breakfast this is one of the best place in Amritsar sply for poori sabji lovers. They will provide you combination of sweet nd spicy sabji means the aaloo sbji is little sweet with the flavour of Mango chuttni & the other is chole which is bit spicy. Can try their lassi also Eventhough i didn’t like it but it depends on your taste.
The missing part was they don’t have Fried Green chilly with the Poori Sabji & they don’t have Chaach (salty lassi) also.

Going by the reviews, I tried poori-chhole and halwa here for breakfast. Undoubtedly amazing! The taste of chhole was different & really good. The pooris tasted great too! The halwa was like a cherry on top! A must-try for a quick, delicious and filling breakfast to kickstart your day in Amritsar with some local flavour!

Had their famous and only main dish puri Chana aloo. Also tried their halwa. Will highly recommend the amazing puri aloo Chana. The aloo is so differently made in a tangy sweet gravy.
