Review Kulcha Land - Amritsar

Anchal Garg
This famous Kulcha restaurant is right opposite the Holiday Inn 🏨 hotel. A small sitting area and not much of an ambience, this place serves some great kulchas. Super crispy and delicious 🤤🥰 The chole were average in taste but the highlight is only the Kulcha. The menu u only has 3 options in Kulchas, 2 Lassi and Gur ka halwa (which was super oily). Although the staff service was not upto the mark, they were exhausted and we had to keep calling them again and again. Apart from this, they serve the onion 🧅 chutney and chole unlimited! Ofcourse Amritsari Kulche Chole are famous all over and this place definitely 💯 justifies the hype and taste! 🌟

This place was a treat being on holiday from UK. We were lucky to get the table straight away. Being light eater, it was amazing I completed the whole kulcha and a lassi😊 Excellent Amritsari Kulcha and the Chole complimented it along with tasty kachumber ( salad). Excellent service. A must go place if visiting Amritsar.

The kulchas here are a must have, its a feeling, it had the perfect combination of crunch and softness, the corners had such a nice crunch and the middle part was perfectly soft, filling was in the right quantity and the chana and onion mint chutney were complementing perfectly with kulchas. Try these kulchas, they are an experience.
Mohd Hussain
Had one of each of their kulchas and must admit its better than other kulchas you would have at other places. The underdog masala kulcha stood out for me but different ppl might like different ones .

One of the best kulcha in Amritsar, the crispness makes it stand apart from others. We ordered Amritsari kulcha which was served with Chole and chutney which added flavour to it. Very decently priced. Lassi tastes good too but it was topped with white butter (like one gets at lassi shops). A must try. Seating area is not that good, but it’s fine for a small dhaba.

Went there after watching a couple of YouTube videos and this place is worth the hype. The kulchas are amazing and crispy. Without any doubt the best kulchas I’ve ever had.

Good stop for a quick indulgence in paranthas. The Amritsar kuchla turned out to be our favourite among all followed by paneer. After trying Kulcha’s in multiple places, I can confirm that it’s NOT the best kulcha in Amritsar but definitely a must try when visiting the city. Btw, there are a lot of places with the same name all across the city. So be ready to be confused. 😊 Paranthas - 7/10 Lassi - 6/10 Vibe - 8/10 Paisa Wasool - 9/10

Food is outstanding. But don't expect fine dining vibes. People come here for their food, not the ambience. Service is a little slow because they are always busy, but the food makes up for it. Grab whichever table you can. Eat. Leave. The lassi is a star too.

Thoroughly enjoyed having Kulche and Chole in this traditional dhaba. Kulche were soft, crisp, and perfectly baked in tandoor. Accompanying chole had distinct flavors of its ingredients. Lassi was also good. Service was quick. My review rating is solely based on the quality of food here.... one must ignore the ambience factor and enjoy the food at such legendary dhabas.

The finest Kulcha that Amritsar has to offer. Specifically, I indulged in the Amritsari potato and cauliflower Kulcha, a dish that exceeded all expectations. Served piping hot alongside chickpea curry and chutney, these Kulchas achieved the elusive feat of melting in one's mouth. The chickpea curry, a perfect accompaniment, elevated the Kulcha to even greater heights. It was a masterclass in spicing, striking a harmonious balance and complementing the Kulcha's flavors impeccably. To cool down the delightful spice and cleanse the palate for subsequent bites, we opted for the Lassi, a refreshing choice that hit the spot. However, it's worth noting that this establishment operates on a cash-only basis, which can be a slight inconvenience in today's digital age. In conclusion, my experience here was nothing short of delightful.

The crispness and taste of the masala inside make it stand apart from the others. Yummy taste of Amritsari kulcha along with a glass of lassi makes a great combination and stomach filling. Don't get tempted by the taste and eat as per your appetite 😋

If you want to experience delicious authentic Amritsari/Punjabi kulcha and chole, then I would highly recommend a visit to Kulcha Land. It is a very humble establishment with a no frills menu. I had the paneer kulcha with chole which was very tasty. The staff are very friendly and the food was fresh and DELICIOUS. I would highly recommend visiting Kulcha Land if you have the opportunity.

It’s the taste of Kulchas that gets everyone here. Genuinely the kulchas were very tasty but the overall experience can be improved a lot. It’s a very desi set up and bit unhygienic. If the hygiene part can be improved it’s a great place but still it’s a must start if you are in Amritsar.
Ashish kanholikar
The finest Kulcha in the city! I've sampled Kulcha at various eateries, but this place truly captures the authentic flavour of Amritsar.
Harshita Pradhan
Very very decently priced Kulchas and amazing in flavor. Stuffed perfectly and the chola had a different flavor which is not found here in NCR. Lassi went perfect along with it. The place allows only cash payment. The seating place is lill messy but one can figure out where to sit easily

Amritsar is most famout for its Aloo wale kulche is Kulcha land provides you with a experience that no one else does if you have a aloo kulcha with butter on top and a Mithi lassi then your day is complete! Simply delicious and unbeatable

One of the worst shop they took 2 hours for 2 kulcha and afterwards they refunded back
Really poor staff very bad go for some other kulcha instead of kulcha land
They had deleiverd old stuff

So i will never recommend to anyone to order kulche from this place

Even I keep trying to cal them they people not responding any calls

You guys should make fresh food , just coz of you people my party goest destroyed
Foodaholic_1897
There was a time when this place used to be at my top position for having kulcha but now it's not even in my top 20 places for having kulcha in amritsar...the price is soo high and size of kulcha is sooo small..taste is also very normal...and it's not even crispy...chole are very simple...u can come and have lassi which is nice...but if u want to have a kulcha amristari..then this is not the place...over hyped place..
Ankit Bhusal
That shit in no angle even seemed like an actual kulcha. Dont deliver some normal chapati like bread which is even hard to chew. The two star is also only for the chole which was average but the kulcha ruined my mood for the whole day. Would never recommend it, atleast not for online delivery
Madhulika Iyer-Foodie
The Kulcha land, famous for Kulcha and their swad. I had amritsari kulcha and masala kulcha got an ultimate taste...much recommended..
Rajat Dixit
The kulcha and chhole are really tasteless. They are really hard to digest and this is coming from someone eating kulchas since past 20 years.

The experience of eating kulcha at infamous kulcha land Amritsar was outstanding . Try paneer kulcha and potato one
Kulcha was buttery crispy fully tandoored and it was followed by chickpea curry and onion Chutney.
The chutney was tangy in flavour and it was going well with kulcha
Experience that will stay with me for many reasons
Aishwarya Warrier
Halwa is very good. Kulcha is good but I had better ones in Amritsar. Ambience is not too good neither is the service.
Sandeepibsb2013
Amritsari Kulcha is just amazing.
If you are in amritsar, you have to go here.
Shomendra Roy
It’s a treat to remember for a long time..... kul has straight from the oven with loads of butter lands on the plate with some awesome well cooked chana with minimal masala but with a mouthwatering taste, the chutney along with it is a great way to eat, very reasonably priced 👍👍
Jazz
While having a tour in Amritsar, one couldn't miss having typical Amritsari kulcha and chhole. After checking out with the locals there, I went to this fine dine-in restraunt, Kulchaland. The base was soft and freshly cooked chhole made it irresistible.

Best place for Amritsari kulcha.
Chef PRITHVI
I ordered amritsari kulcha & gur halwa
I absolutely loved both the things , so yummy , The kulcha was tastes so fresh & tasty.

The quality of the food is amazing

Thanks to the internet .. after so much of exploration and homework for the best Cholle - Kulche in the town, I came up with this name "The Kulcha Land". Took an Uber to Ranjit Avenue, I found this place just opposite to the Holiday Inn. This place is probably known for the best Kulcha's in the town and I could definitely testify this fact after going there!

Its a small place with not much of sitting area. Service is very quick. They have 2-3 types of Kulchas available and I tried each and everyone of them! Of course, the Meethi LASSI was a mandate with them! They provide unlimited refills for Cholle and Chatni.

After all this, I tried a new dish "Gur Halwa" which is basically a Halwa made from Jaggery floating in a bowl full of ghee. I know it doesn't sound that good but believe it was delectable!

Aanand Aagaya Ji!!! Zaroor Jao!

Must GO! .. Happy Eating!! :))

Highly recommended on online platform. Landed and headed there straight from the airport. Busy with people. We had wait for 10 mins to get out table. Their kulchas are full of butter. Loved their lassi. The best was paneer kulcha. But I guess the amul butter was empowering. The taste of kulcha was lost with so much floating butter. Service was quick.
Pritpal Ganger
Good Kulcha - seating and service could be better.
Kada was ok - can be skipped.

Surprised to know they don't serve tea - carry along if tea is a must/poison for breakfast/snacking ...

I had the best kulcha in my life

You can't miss this place if you are in Amritsar, the kulcha land. It's different, super yummy and piping hot. Loved the authentic taste and flavour. Must visit place. You can ignore the seating arrangement and ambience for the taste you get here.

I have been to amritsar twice in the past year, and the first thing i do on arrival, is head straight to KULCHA LAND. One of the most popular outlets in whole of amritsar, people swear by its name.

The main attraction here and the hype is for-
Amritsari Kulcha and Choley.
The kulcha is crushed by hand, kept in tandoor and served up with loads of butter.
Pure Heaven ♥️

Ordered home delivery and was disappointed with the quality of the chanas.. They needed to be fished out of the watery curry... Food was very spicy too.. Had better experience eating on site in the past.. Which has been some time now

It's something that you must not give it a miss, their special onion chutney was super good a treat for every Kulcha lover

Ab amritsar koi aaye toh unhe aloo kulcha toh khaana hi hota, so took some guests from delhi here. And no doubt, they loved it.

One of the best Kulchas I have eaten in my life. Amazingly delicious and the chole was perfect as well. The lassi is a must try as well. busy but served rather quickly

It's quite a famous places and perfect to kick Start your day with awesome breakfast. Their lassi is toooo yum. They serve plain, aloo, paneer and masala kulcha with chhole n chatni. Masala kulcha takes a bit time to prepare but believe me it's worth the wait. It's so crisp n flavor full that you will never regret for wait. 😃
Must visit place.

Known as one of the better places for kulcha in Amritsar, this place doesn’t disappoint. The dhaba is near many posh restaurants and shops in Ranjit Avenue, however it still draws a crowd compared to many other kulcha options. The service is fast, the kulchas made to order and served with a chutney and chole. The chole was rather mild for me, as I prefer mine to be darker and richer in spices. The chutney was tasty and perfectly paired with the piping hot kulcha. The kulcha was filled with onions and was crisp. It was extremely cheap and well worth the trip.
Sukhbar Grover
Best ever kulcha eaten in my life the lassi is also very much yummy. Their nature is also very polite and best service, their is waiting line
PAWAN KUMAR
Worst kulcha ever had... it's all name with no taste at all...bad experience.
No proper filling and even the child were tasteless. No worth visiting.
Hasit Shukla
They serve best kulcha in Amritsar. Though seating space is a constraint as people keep coming, they welcome every one with a big smile. They serve three type of kulcha along with chhole and onion chutney. Kulcha are served hot - from straight tandoor to your plate. No one should miss their kulcha!!!

Best Breakfast place in Amritsar , without a doubt!
Amritsari Kulcha is the best

Worst ever Masala Kulcha you can get here , having loads of spices which are not able. I never recommend to eat kulcha from here nor even order from zomato
Abhi Arora
You will get the best chur chur kulcha at this place..
They are running the restaurant from quite long time and now they have come to the stage when you can't hate their food..
Impatient Baker
Service is quick, the menu is limited but the proverbial kacha of Kulchaland is simply out of this world. We’re so used to the chewy kulchas of Delhi that I for one had no clue that kulchas can be crunchy and tasty and need not be covered in butter to hide the taste. There’s actual flavour in the stuffing and the chola and the chutney are so good that YOU WILL ask for seconds.
Utkarsh Mishra
Kulcha are meant to be soft and indeed it was one of the best i have hever had I also orderes from ZOMATO AND RECEIVED EXACTLY THESAME AS OF HOTEL
Vidya
They serve the best kulchas in amritsar. Inspite of high demand they always deliver food on time. Whenever you are in amritsar you must visit this place and order amritsari kulchas with a glass of lassi.
Kanika Bhatia
As someone who can’t handle very spicy food, this place was the best for me!

They have a variety of kulchas to cater to your tastes.

The channa was excellent and the food was clean and service was great as well.
Ranbir Singh
Taste was ok, but I had severe stomach pain and loose motion after eating masala kulcha. Not recommended. They should take care to prepare properly so that it does not effect health of someone.
Pooja Tandon
Liked the kulchas n lassi. Extra care taken to help with inter city parcel orders. Busy with customers even at 4pm. Would recommend to visit.
Sarthak Saraiya
Channa was fine but too liquid . Kulcha not that crispy . All over it was a fine experience. Need some improvement in kulcha and chanma . Quantity was also less
Tushar Goel
We ordered Masala Kulcha and Amritsari kulcha first. After the first bite we also ordered the paneer kulcha. Amazing food. Chole and pyaaz chutney were delicious. Kulcha had delicious stuffing and was crisp outside and soft inside. Also they had dipped the kulchas in butter which made them more flavorful. Loved it.

Love love love this place and the amritsari kulchas they have. I have tried amritsari kulcha at many other places but they serve the best ones. The taste is so good and along with kulchas, their namkeen and meethi lassi is to die for!! A must visit place❤️
Rajat Juneja
One of the most popular Amritsari Kulcha places in the city, and definitely the easiest to access and relatively clean and well maintained.

The Kulchas are good, and the accompanying Channa dish is also very nice with an accompaniment of tangy mint / coriander chutney mixed with onions / green spring onion shoots. The spices are not very overpowering and just for the ease of access and the suitability for eating out with family, I would give this place one extra star.
Yash Shah
Good kulchas! They have a limited menu but delicious menu! If the place is crowded, you need to be quick and grab a table before anyone occupies. Coming from Mumbai, I was a little surprised and was waiting for a table until i realised. The lassi is brilliant with the cream. A must try!
FoodTripsIndia
The Kulcha Land is quite famous in Amritsar. As the name suggests, kulcha is its specialty. One good thing about this place is that their menu has only 4 items in total (3 types of Kulchas and 1 Lassi) - it can’t get simpler than this. So we decided to taste all 3 and here is my ranking according to their taste with the first one being the tastiest:

1. Masala Kulcha (Amritsari Kulcha with extra masala on top)
2. Amritsari Kulcha
3. Paneer Kulcha

The lassi was also quite tasty - it was sweet with a dollop of malai on the top. Although I was expecting its consistency to be a bit thicker but still it was good.

Planned to reach Amritsar around 2 pm in the afternoon and we landed directly here !
Waiting time min 10 mins. You might have to share the table at times.
This place is old. Menu sums up as -
Amritsari Kulcha
Paneer Kukcha
Masala Kulcha
Lassi
Served with Chole and Onion Chutney Raita.
Authentic, light on spices, light on pocket and heavy on tummy. Yummy crispy Kulchas. Must try when in Amritsar !
Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Price ⭐⭐

On our visit to Amritsar, our taxi driver recommended that we visit The KulchaLand for breakfast.
KulchaLand is a no frills, no fancy, dhaba style basic seating eatery! With just 3-4 options of stuffed kulchas, we just knew that that we had to try them all!
One of the most delicious stuffed kulchas (Amritsari, Masala and Paneer) served with chole and chutney. This along with a glass of lassi was enough to keep us going for the day!
If you've come to Amritsar, Kulchas here are a must have...
Budget food! Great service! Yummiest food!!
Ratul Jain (taste_strikers)
One of the best place to have Amritsari Kulcha. Though every restaurant in Amritsar serves the Kulcha but this place has it’s own importance. The kulchas were crispy and very palatable.👌👌.

How can anyone miss this place when in Amritsar!

This is one of the places that is highly recommended by the locals in Amritsar hence i tried.

We ordered:-
Aloo kulcha and a big glass of sweet lassi(mandatory :D)

The dhaba has indoor as well as outdoor seating. We opted to sit outside as the weather was beautiful.

Since it was lunch time and the dhaba was jam-packed with people so it took around 25-30 minutes to bring the order to our table.

The aloo kulcha was served with some chole(chickpeas) and imli pyaz ki chutney(gave a tangy flavour to the kulcha and was great for digestion).

At the first glance, the kulcha looked a bit heavy, but trust me it was worth every bite as it was so light, buttery, crispy from the outside and soft from the inside... the chole ki sabji was perfectly accompanied by the kulcha, not that spicy and perfectly balanced.
Believe it or not.. the food was finished in 5 minutes. hehheh..yes i was really hungry :p

To complete the meal i drank a big glass of sweet lassi which consisted of dollops of white butter and malai.....it was deliciousssss.. mmmm... One can see the lassi being prepared at the right end of the shop.

Last, freshen up your mouth with sauf flavoured sakar from the counter. Perfeeecccttt!!!

One should go to this place to experience and relish the lip-smacking kulchas they serve!

I am recommending this place to everyone...do try it as it is value for money and I sure this place will satisfy your hunger pangs! :)

Our last meal in Amritsar and it had to be the best one! Kulcha land is a very old establishment and very traditional at heart. It's a very very simple looking Dhaba but it serves the best kulcha you will ever have in your life!

We tried the paneer kulcha and Amritsari aloo kulcha. We had our breakfast and left for the airport and stopped at kulcha land for a 'tasting session's but we had 6 kulchas!!!

The chole and onion salad they give with the kulchas was also supremely yummy and it was free unlimited!

The kulchas are so light and crispy! Almost like a butter khari or puff! Excellently made and the service too is super fast.

The paneer kulcha blew out mind away. We kept repeating the order again and again and yet we were not satisfied by the goodness.

With a heavy heart, we bid goodbye to this legendary Dhaba but I highly recommend everyone to visit it even if it is out of the way of your itinerary. You will really cherish the taste forever and ever!
❤️❤️

Great Food garnished with Great Service your tastebuds will surely be amazed. Dine in area could be improved but other than that everything’s great. 👍

Everyone told me to visit there and i did listen them and yes i tried the most amazon crispy kulcha with chole loved the taste and chutney was so tangy 😋 must try

If I say these are the best Amritsari Kulchas in the planet, don't feel I am exaggerating. To believe ,you have to have these kulchas. Crispy outer layer and spicy soft stuffing inside , perfect balance of spices and perfectly baked in clay oven. This shop has been in Amritsar for kast so many years, many came and gone ,but the best kulcha place survived and thriving. They serve 4 types of kulchas, paneer, onion, potato and masala and use their generation s old secret recipe.
Easy on wallet , total value for money. Go go go before kulchas get cold.

Hands down the best meal in Amritsar. When you hear so much about a place, you always have high expectations. And while rarely some places match up to these expectations, Kulcha Land surpassed them. Fabulous Amritsari Kulchas and Lassi. The highlight of my meal was the Gud ka Halwa though. Was lucky to visit Amritsar in this season and have the most fabulous mouth watering indian dessert ever. Exceptional Gud ka Halwa. Don't miss it if you're visiting amritsar around Jan.
Bharat Sehgal
One of the best kulcha ever had! And on top of it mithi lassi tasted so good and the sweetness was exactly the way it should be. 🤤
I also had gud ka halwa which was good but lassi and masala kulcha makes a deadly combo.
Angad Singh
Always have been hearing so positive reviews about kulcha land and so wana try it. So when i reached amritsar for darbar sahib i visited it when i was starving so bad. And i tell u they have best kulchas served with amul butter on it, hot chole and achar along with thali..economical with best fast service.personally one of my favorites to count it in when in amritsar.
Manish Mahendru
Today I ordered massala kulcha from this restaurant . Its taste is so awful and its too much cold and the chole is not tasty . The salt too much low
Sumit Hira
Awesome kulcha. The best kulcha land in amritsar. Thanks to zomato who delivers food at home . Zomato is the best food delivery service in amritsar
VIMAL GIRDHAR
The excellent family dining place, good place to sit around good fine atmosphere. Service is faster, approachable from all corners of the city.

I was in Amritsar recently and the choice of breakfast in Amritsar also happens to be the most famous dish to be originated in the city—Amritsari Kulcha. While most spots serve this dish, Kulcha Land has some of the best. Operational since before the Partition in Lahore and later in Amritsar, Kulcha Land has been dishing out this delight for four generations now.

Amritsari Kulchas are always served with chole (the chickpea curry) & spicy chutney. Kulchas are made with maida or refined flour and the traditional filling of it are either spiced mashed potatoes or crumbled paneer (cottage cheese). The kulchas are first baked to a golden crisp in the tandoor and then are crumbled by hand until flaky and topped with a generous helping of butter. It is crisp from the outside while the stuffing inside is soft, moist and flavour-packed, leading to a multi-textural and multi-sensorial culinary experience. Do let them cool down a bit before you bite into them.

Kulcha Land basically has three main dishes on the menu. That’s it. Amritsari(Potato), Masala & Paneer Kulchas ~ Cost: ₹45-70 per kulcha.

P.S. You absolutely must pair the kulchas with a glass of freshly churned sweet lassi!😋
Gaurav Tamotia
Never eaten in a place that has exactly 4 items on its menu and that too pasted on the wall - 3 types of Kulchas and 1 lassi. Basic place with basic service but then you probably can’t get better Kulchas anywhere else in the World and that alone has to be the reason to go there. Only food and no frills. Simply must go there.
Rahul
To be honest
I didn't find anything special in this place
Kulchas were good but not that good that you specially go to that place
I also ordered there halwa
It was very oily and taste was also average
Mannat Sekhon
The epitome of Amritsar kulcha here in Amritsar hands down. I remember having their kulcha from their other mother branch when I was a little girl and the flavour is the same till date.
There are a lot of other kulcha places in the city as well but this place is my personal favourite for Amritsari kulcha with pipping hot kulcha with channa and chutney with dollops of butter.
The ambience is very basic and this place is about the food and only food. It’s a must try while visiting the city.
Neha Kohli
One of the best kulchas available in Amritsar. A little costlier than others but worth it. Location is quite nice and easily reachable. Talking about the food, kulchas are very good. Do try lassi with it rather than cold drinks.
Rekha Sinha
If u visit Amritsar, then one should not come back without having Kulchas & lussi in Kulcha Land.
The place is just like simple dhaba, but five star is given for d taste of d Kulchas.
We had been there in first week of this month.
There we get three types of Kulchas, Amritsari, Masala & Panner.
We ordered all of three to taste, wow just yummy. Very crispy & each have its different flavour. They also serve chole & cachumber with it. Both equally good.
Lussi with malai & Gud ka halwa to lajabab.
The main thing very cheap in price.

One of the things for which Amritsar is renowned-Kulcha. And Kulcha Land is one of the most recognised outlets for eating Kulchas. These stuffed Indian bread which is then toasted crispy is one of my personal favorites. With lassi they make the perfect combination.
Pulkit Arora
Combination of Crispy kulche and chickpeas with onion tamarind chutney is like heaven on the earth. If you are here not forget to try their jaggery mouth freshener powder (must try)
Taste: 4.5
Quality: 4.5

The food here is what I travel for! It was the first food stop I made at Amritsar and I’m so glad I did. The kulchas are incredible, the chole curry is tasty and the dhaba chutney is just wow. We also had the lassi and gud halwa which were oh so incredibly lovely. A must just MUST try!
Varun Rathi
The most amazing Kulchas I have had in my entire life. All three variants of their Kulchas are simply mind boggling. A visit to Amritsar is for sure incomplete without having their Kulchas.
Vivek Agarwal
I ordered Amristsari and Paneer Kulcha. Their kulchas were truly tasty, even when ordered for home delivery. Their lassi was also good. Please try them at least once.
Ashish Jaiswal
Best Kulcha you will have at amritsar.. Just awesome. Loved amritsari and masala kulcha. Will definitely come back soon. Still having taste in my mouth.
