It is one of the oldest family restaurant in amritsar. The ambiance is ok, the food is good, and had chicken steak sizzler. It is good, but it is good nicely presented. Overall, the experience is ok.

Astoria is located at ranjit avenue on the main road, best known for its delicious food items Food - they have all the cuisine available in their restaurant. And the taste of all food item is too good.. Sizzlers - if you're a food lover person then don't forget to order shashlik sizzlers with rosemary sauce. That is a very good combination of rice with boneless chicken and French fries with boiled veggies.. Service - service is too good with nice ambience. Parking - convenient parking is also available outside this place..

Good food! I am sure the quality is great aswell. Tried Fish in peri peri sauce. Its different from other places like Nandos etc. Wings were like any other chinese dish . Though very good to taste but not at all like what we get at other places. Burger and quesadilla were okay. Nice ambiance and a decent place for families.

In a city famous for its Kulchas, Lassi and Poori, Astoria stands apart with its diverse cuisine. Right from your standard Paneer Butter Masala to Cheese Steak Sizzler to their Special Canelloni, everything is class apart. Astoria is my go to place for dinners. The taste has been the same since the last 7-8 years and majority of staff is also the same which has allowed the restaurant to keep its authenticity intact. The food amazes me everytime and I keep coming back for more. The restaurant is usually at capacity around 9 pm so I would suggest getting seated by 8 or latest by 8:30. The staff is polite and co-operative. I would recommend the following dishes highly 1. Cheese Steak Sizzler (Ask for extra sauce) 2. Vegetable Lasagne 3. Baked Macaroni and Cheese 4. Spinach Canelloni 5. Special Canelloni

Great family hangout place since ages! Keep up the good work! I had chicken Tikka sizzler, chicken Korean rice and Manchow soup. Apart from the soup, everything was lip smacking!

With time the service has become very poor and the waiters dont listen and do not know how to behave . Was really disappointed with the overall experience

This place has some good food and the prices are also not on a higher side. It has a mix of different cuisines which I really like about this place. All the dishes that I have tasted so far were quite good. A good place for family outing.

Although i visit many of d times here and so i had never got any cmplaints regarding food... Yesterday nght i had a cheese steak sizzler which was upto expctions but only thing i missed in it was less vegetables and it was 2nd time it had less veggies.moreover we had veg.triplet that had amazing taste and especially presentation. The chapati is very tasty with good texture. Definitely order the chicken tikka, juicy with great seasoning. Try the egg fried rice (Chinese dish). Astoria is one the best restaurants in Ranjit Avenue. If you're a lasagne fan, just go for it. I have visited it a lot many times and it hasn't disappointed me even for once till yet. Provides you a peaceful atmosphere.

While waiting for a very famous hotel in Amritsar I came across this place since being on waiting list was tough , so it's a beautiful cozy place for sitting more than 60 people , serve all types of cuisine . But I went for its famous lasagne and butter chicken , both were good but lasagne was outstanding , I can say better than any authentic Italian restaurant. The mix of cheese vegetable specially spinach base along with chicken was awesome ..<br/><br/>Service , staff all was good , all together a Greta experience . Best of luck to team

Astoria is one of the best restaurants in Amritsar. Sezlers, pasta, baked dishes & mocktails are best in this place. Price are reasonable. If someone like live kitchen than they can visit okra it's another restaurant in 1st floor.

This is a fine dining place , with light music and comforting ambience. The service could have been better and was very slow but the food was delicious. They serve one of the best Sizzlers in the town. I personally recommend to have Hot and smoky sizzling cheese Steak Sizzler and Lasagne.

Astoria is one of good places to have family dinner. The place has good ambience. I ordered Cheese Steak Sizzler , Chicken Mounchow Soup and Paneer Butter Masala . I must say soup and sizzler were amazing . As they serve one of the best Sizzlers in the city. You will never be disappointed with that . I was pretty disappointed with the main course. The paneer butter masala had good gravy but it seened that the cheese was not fresh . The cheese was quite hard. Hope the management serve it better next time .

This is an old restaurant with a lot of regulars, and for good reason<br/><br/>Decor- nothing fancy, simple and quiet, it could do with a little more privacy<br/><br/>Service- Excellent, the manager greeted is with a smile and was very attentive and polite. Servers were also well trained<br/><br/>Food- 5/5<br/><br/>Ordered the fish platter, lasagna and chicken triplet<br/><br/>Chicken triplet was good, well seasoned and good flavours, nothing extraordinary <br/><br/>Then was the glorious Lasagne, simply the best lasagna in town. I have tried European lasagnas bit this one has a flavour profile unlike something I have ever tried. My only problem was the cheese used for topping, if it was a good mozzarella cheese itvwould have been perfect but it was a regular market cheese<br/><br/>Then the best of all, the fish platter. Four different types of fish, cooked beautifully and unique hit of flavors. Ok my experience says that this place is for sizzlers only as i sensed that 9/10 guests ordered various type of sizzlers. <br/><br/>But we were unlucky and ordered pure veg - It took ages to prepare our food and any vegetarian can see and confirm that it was bit of an effort for restaurant to make that veg food. Taste wise pathetic, inside ambiance wise very OK, nothing to wow for, even food quantity wise less than regular. I mean this one is no where near to restaurants in NCR who have around 3.5 rating in TripAdvisor or Zomato in terms of food quality, quantity, service, ambiance at all. I just visited this place due to high ratings on TripAdvisor and Zomato - but somehow this restaurant doesn't match to my expectation.<br/><br/>And worst part they dont accept AMEX Cards- i know this is not a deal breaker but really.<br/><br/>Tip--> Not recommended at all and even if you have to go please strictly Ignore Veg and dont go with ratings.

Well we had ordered hot and sour soup, crispy rice soup, italian passion with vegetable sizzler.<br/>All were very good in taste with large quantities.

A sunday night at this place was indeed a refreshing break from the typical Indian food at Amritsar. Good ambience...good staff...quick service. The restaurant on top is a better place to sit, though the downstairs one is equally good if ur with family. Oka special platter was exclusive preparation. Chiken tikka pizza was wonderful. This restaurant gives u the feel of being in some place grand.

Continental and Italian food at Amritsar of superior quality and quantity. Chicken florentine and veg lasagne was very well baked and we had a great time with family.

In Amritsar, it is pretty hard to find a decent restaurant which serves good food at a nominal price... either there are desi dhaba like places or there are high end luxury dining restaurants, but very rare casual diners where you can actually trust the food quality. Astoria Food Pavilion is one such place on which you can rely for a comfortable evening with family or friends.<br/><br/>The decor and the lighting of the place makes it pretty lively and the comfortable seats assure that you can have your tete-a-tete over dinner for long hours. But nevertheless, you don't have to wait much longer because the service is pretty fast and the servers are quite active.<br/><br/>We didn't have much apetite after the famous street food from various other food joints, so we ended up with Indian main course preceded by regular soup. The food is satisfactory, not over the top, neither below average, but quite acceptable for the said prices. Also the quantity of one dish is good enough to serve 2-3 people at a time.<br/><br/>The diners can rely on this place for get togethers, family outing or simply catching up with a friend.

Had veg. lasagna which was fine. Bruschetta was bland and boring, could have been loads better. The staff is receptive and the service was good.

This place was be my all time favorite before I shifted from Amritsar. Back then, they served amazing food, not just Indian, but also continental. I loved their Lasagne, in addition to the Indian gravies and other dishes. Their soups were also really good. I'm sure they have maintained their quality.

This time the service was however very disappointing. Coming to the food, which this place was famous for .. We found it pretty average now.<br/><br/>The hot and sour soup was nice, however the chicken manchow was just way too spicy. To the extent that their was only a hot aftertaste but not any real flavours. <br/>Veg wantons were crispy and crunchy bags filled with ample filling served with schezwan sauce. <br/><br/>This place was the pioneer of the steak sizzler revolution in amritsar. We had our fav cheese steak with garlic bread and it was literally a heart break. The noodles seemed like they haven't been cooked enough, hard to chew (and it wasn't al dente too). There was not even a single piece of mushroom now, which they put earlier in sauteéd veggies or the masala onions. There wasn't ample rosemary sauce.<br/>The quantity for the sides that are served along the steak was shocking.<br/><br/>Then we had the onion kulchas with butter. The server didn't think its important to serve the butter automatically, but we had to ask for it. However, Flavours bang on, crispy and nice. <br/>Also, we weren't served any pickle or chutneys. <br/><br/>This kind of service isn't expected from a place that people depend upon. The food was good but not as tasty as it used to be earlier.

My favorite place to dine for. The sizzlers are really perfect. Never had a complaint with the ordered stuff. The ambience of the restaurant perhaps now need a renovation, otherwise a real treat to have meal there with the family.<br/>

I didnt quite understand why it has been rated so low. Alright its not that great of a restaurant but certainly not that bad either. Its a good restaurant with a good ambience. The food is fine, although the service was a bit slow. Sizzler platters must be their speciality since almost all the tables had ordered sizzlers while we were munching on the typical indian food. Will definitely try sizzlers on next visit.

Astroia has been one of our favorite restaurants in Amritsar. They serve excellent sizzlers and there chicken lasagne is amazing. Not impressed by the beverages they have cold or hot. Rest everything is amazing.

Used to be my favourite place but now its dropped in my rankings! The food wasn't special, like it used to be! But all you foodies out there this is a must try. The food is generally yummy and the ambience - sweet with the old melodies playing on the speaker. Maybe they had a bad day when i went :( will definitely give it another try..

Don't know why I even went to this place for dinner. So it's two story restraunt however the menu as well as the ambience is completely different. So if you go to the ground floor you would get a very sad feeling looking at their decor, old cutlery, tissue papers etc. However first floor is still slightly trendy with some better music as well. But food was even pathetic. So ordered one chicken lollipop, veg biryani with pineapple raita. Lollipop was far to pathetic to eat in fact after few bites we got it packed and gave it to someone more needy of food. Biryani was ok and raita wasn't up to the mark either. All in all waste of time and money. However looking at the crowd there I am sure many would think otherwise.

The place is having specialty in sizzlers but there is no special in sizzlers. The ambience is good. The food quality is not upto the mark. The staff was not courteous. They want us to move out fast because we had only left in the restaurant. I will not visit again to this place ever but i must say if you are running good restaurant then you should give training to your staff.<br/>Waste property!!

Location is good, parking is not much problem but rest of factors are not good.<br/>Staff is very non-cooperative, food is not good and takes lot of time. No privacy or peace, people passes through the restaurant to reach ground hall. Would never go again.

Astoria has been in Amritsar for quite some time, it tries to emulate a fine dining restaurant, for some it comes in the category of grand old legendary restaurants but it failed to impress me, the food menu is quite extensive, being a multi cuisine and probably the only place serving continental food and sizzlers in town. But in their pursuit of keeping the old world charm alive with table linen and the restaurant setup in general phished. Please stop using paper napkins, nobody uses a paper napkin, linen is preferable, service needs to improved, it was slow. The pricing was not apt either, I feel for a place like Amritsar it was a bit hefty and did not match up with the overall dining experience. The chefs are doing a decent job with food, we ordered for sizzlers, Indian veg and non veg preparation along with a lasagna and breads, lasagna blew me away, didn't expect such a good one in Amritsar. Overall I am rating 3.5 but that's only because of the food otherwise on all other fronts the restaurant didn't live up to the expectations.
