A good place to have lunch or dinner if u r staying in Marriott. The kulcha s were very tasty and the chole were the best we had in Amritsar. The firni was top notch. A word of advice, on top of ur meal don't go for a full glass of lassi, it will be too much!!

Awesome the food is great and tasty. Prices are also very reasonable. And one most important and good thing is you can order ½ plate of dishes or Currys of you are a individual.

We stayed in the Fabhotel KK Continental which is just beside it during our Amritsar trip. One day during our dinner we wanted to have simple dal and rice as we already had buttery food throughout the day. Ended up going there and ordering. The quantity and quality was higher than expected. Even the lassi was good.

Been here since my childhood nd taste is still d same but just the lachha parantha has become a bit small nd less heavy then it used 2 be.

I Tried Palak Paneer & Dal Makhni With Butter Nan which is too good but the atmosphere of this place is not as good as many other restaurants.

Was travelling around when our driver recommended that its the best veg dhaba in Amritsar.. So we went there for a takeaway parcel for dinner... where we ordered the following things as shown in picture..

1- dal makhani with butter - yes as the name sounds it had a lot of butter... But the consistency of it was way too runny... Overall its quite average in taste... With loads of butter in it.. So all the taste was for butter only. (Ratings: 3/5)

2- we ordered tawa roti..( Without butter) -was soft and tender... Tastes good. (Ratings: 4/5)

Overall: Its slightly overpriced I feel.. Quantity of dal makhani was okay for 3 peoples...Its okay for one time visit if you want.. I have also posted pics alongside.. If you want u can go through them also. Thanks!

Prices are high as compare to quantity as well as quality. Don't come here.

From Jatiupra to Delhi to Amritsar, New Kundan Dhaba was our first dinner spot in the city of Amritsar. It was past 10 and we were limited by options, so we went ahead with the hotel person’s input. The food was your usual fare, nothing stood out particularly. We tried a paneer (cottage cheese) curry, dal makhni – a creamy black lentil dish, that takes long to cook, and sarso ka saag – mustard greens slurry, seasonally available in the winters.

Very rude staff and food served was not even at the basic eating temperature.

Charging more prices- Rs.10 extra, that the printed one on Beverages.

Liked the aalu pyaaz parantha and paneer paratha too with chhole. Lassi was nice too. Would have appreciated homemade white butter instead of amul. Although second time we asked for a takeaway for our train, they had to be reminded to give chhole !

This place is about 10 minutes from Golden Temple. They have good and hygienic food. I tried their amritsari kulcha and veg thali, loved both. If you're im amritsar , you should try Amritsari kulcha.

When ever you have to wait near station we search for an eatry joint.
Same thing happened with me to.
I am generally not found of veg but this veg joint litreally made my day.
As good food was.
That much slow service was.
But for me overall experience was good.
Do visit and try out...

Its a pretty decent place.
Service : 4/5
Taste : 3/5
Ambience : 3/5
I really loved having amritsari phirni from here. I was having that for the first time so it was definitely quite a good start. The other eatables i bought also tasted pretty decent.

Was waiting for my train at the railway station and came across this place - fantastic chaach and even better paneer parantha- was licking my lips long after the meal - the veg sandwich with paneer was pretty average - service timings are a bit slow- be prepared to wait for food

Wonderful food and quantity was also good. Butter loaded laccha parantha with creamy and buttery daal along with scrumptious paneer makhani , the food they serve will surely make you happy.

For the city dats known for its food , this outlet happens to be a below average affair , the taste of shaahi paneer or kadai paneer is quite the same , the stuffed naan just has mashed up potatoes stuffed in it , the aloo Gobi was undercooked , quantity was decent but definitely lacked the Punjabi delicacy punch in it
Urvashi
Pretty average place to eat at specially in a foodie town like Amritsar. It might be new but looks worn out and mediocre. Prices are dirt cheap and quantity sufficient. The also give half plates which is beneficial for solo eaters otherwise best avoided.

No1 Punjabi Dhaba for a reason simply this Dhaba can't b awarded just like that .. Must visit place in Amritsar , New Kundan Dhaba (only veg ..I know it's hard to think Dhaba with out chicken but it's worth it )
In pic : it's missi roti ( yellow roti) , tandoori roti , chilli paneer, dal makhani , bhoondi curd , Channa and pickles.(mayb u can skip missi roti it's okish but rest s good ) DO ask for raw chilli and eat with food suggested.:)
Sorry for pic clarity too much chilli was in mouth:p
And all this in affordable pricing ..

Kundan da dhaba, originally which was located in the interiors of the city, is now shifted. It has maintained its quality over the years very well. They serve authentic punjabi food, paranthas made in desi ghee, gravies and other vegetables rich in flavors and spices. Service is quick.

food prices are reasonable and considering the quality at this price was good, but i felt the ambience wasn't that well.
i ordered dal makhni and it was good while malai kofta was worse.

Food is good... Location very near to railway station... This dhaba is the landmark for the place... It's spacious... And the waiters are a bit lazy... But overall experience will be good...

Kundan dhabha used to be a very good place for veg food lovers, But looks like it has lost its charm. Been today to this place with my family to cherish the famous dal Makhni served here, but what we all got was a "big disappointment". They have renovated the place but the hygiene and food standards have literally gone down. Plates and bowls were not properly cleaned. Dal Makhni was flavourless with no taste. It was simple boiled maah ki dal with salt and butter in it. I gave feedback to the person sitting on counter in a hope that they will improve the standards. Not a value for money place.

Ambiance - 2.5/5
Food - 1.5/5
Service - 3/5
VFM - 2/5

Went here on the recommendation of the taxi driver.. Close to railway station, expect the same type of ambience and hygiene from this joint..

Ambience is simple.. Not that satisfactory though.. You don't generally get to see 3 ACs in a row placed soo close to each other.. :D

Hygiene was bit compromised.. Onion and pickle bowl were dirty.. Water glass were not cleaned properly too..

Service was fast.. He got our order in no delay..

Taste.. This was the area which forced me to give marks.. Ordered Simple Punjabi Thali.. Great taste.. Authentic or not, I don't know but it was just yum.. Finger licking.. Specially that butter tadka over dal..

No issue in marking a visit if you got a chance.. :)

The tad menu can be little disappointing for a food enthusiast at first sight, but the lip smacking taste and good service ensures a delightful experience at this place. A must visit especially if looking for awesome breakfast of kulchas and lassi.

This place is perfect for breakfast and lunch. We were staying in Mayur hotel and this place was in the vicinity of the hotel. Even the hotel ordered its food from this place. The breakfast was a delicious one. The stuffed paranthas served with pickle or chutney make up a wholesome breakfast. You can order Curd which will complement the paranthas. A generic punjabi breakfast. I think they serve one vegetable too( I don't remember correctly.)
The dinner is also great. The Indian curries are delicious. You can try Paneer curries, Chana, Dal makhni with any of the breads. The service is good here. If you are staying in the vicinity of the Amritsar junction, this place is recommended for having breakfast and dinner. The food is not too spicy or like junk food. It is better to have food here than to have it in the hotel who order from here, or are just showy.
