Review Bakes & Beans B&b - Amritsar

We ordered pita bread from here. The breads were very fresh and nicely packed. They even tasted amazing. The restaurant also sent a handwritten thank you note along with out box of bread, very courteous indeed, will surely order from bakes and beans again.

Delicious food and coffee. The restaurant was clean and the ambience was good. Light music in the background and nice aroma in the air. Let's get to the food. I ordered the chicken steak, grilled vege sandwich and baked mushrooms. The food was great- delicious sauce, delicious vegetables and delicious steak and sandwich. To complement the juicy and flavorful food was the 'Mocha surprise', a sweet ice cold coffee rich in taste and smooth, however I would have loved it even more if it had a higher viscosity. Overall it was a very good place with good food and I'll definitely recommend this restaurant!

A brilliant place for food, drinks and chill out. Staff were very friendly and patient with our ordering. Also, the place is really hygienic if anyone is concerned with travellers diarrhea. I highly recommend their cold coffees whatever it maybe, they are just made well and really yum. The food was excellent! Everything was really delicious, from a simple grilled sandwich to a fancy chicken steak dish. The ambience of the place is very chill- to a quick hangout with friends or a lunch dinner date, this place is worth exploring if you're in Amritsar

Bakes and Beans Cafe is at Ranjit Avenue, One of best cafes in Amritsar. Environment is too good. Here you can go with the family and friends too.I went here with my friend we ordered some grilled sandwiches and a two coffee's , taste is really good, Service is on time. If you are to planning to go in some cafe ,must try this place.

It is " one of the go to places" in Amritsar to have a cup of real good coffee in a really vibrant sitting place. The menu is decently extensive and you can choose from a variety of sandwiches, pastas pizzas and many more. And the thing to die for is the BANOFFIE PIE which is a must try.

The ambience is really nice and peaceful. And the live band is cherry on the top. Flavours are regular and not very out of the world taste if compared to cost. The staff is really polite and warm in their services. B&B needs to work upon the shakes part. This cafe is a go to go place for sweet tooth people.

This is one of the first local cafes to open up in Amritsar, and luckily this restaurant has managed to stay popular with locals. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, making for a welcoming experience. They have a variety of drinks, salads, sandwiches, and sweets available, all of which are made to order. The bread is made fresh daily, which makes all the difference. I had their salad, which was dressed with a tangy vinaigrette and had fresh greens. Their garlic bread with cheese is fantastic, the cheese flavorful and the bread fresh. I also tried their honey cake, which had a layer of toffee and honey for icing. It was moist and extremely tasty. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this place for a quick bite and drink.

A very small selection of food and that too a bad one, the food lacks something or the other each time I have been there. The atmosphere is okay but the food does not get a pass from me..

Well living in Amritsar for most of my life , this place has been my favourite stop since I was a teen. The food , the coffee , the ambiance it makes everything better . There hasn’t been a single time when the food has been disappointing. In a crux , it’s the place that delivers always !!

A medium size cafe buzzing with ppl all the time has good food to offer. We ordered one Vegetable clear soup which was excellent in taste, chicken clear soup with vegetables(all time favorite of my friend), veg farm grilled sandwich(hope i got the name correct) that had perfect veg filling, i enjoyed the steam veges served with baked mushrooms, fresh and well cooked, mashed potatoes had never been my favorite so we left that portion a bit! We were 3 friends and they bith ordered a drink to sip along (sorry i dint click the pic) i just got the feedback of ginger ale (fizzy) and lime ice that it was perfect. Ill positively advice another visit to try something different.

Bakes & Beans really serves some great food . They are very good in Sandwiches and Pizzas. I had Smoked Chicken Sandwich , Italians Grill Sandwich , Chicken Bonaza Pizza and Peach Fruit Pitcher . The Sandwiches were great and had good amount of Chicken stuffing . Whereas the pizza was too delicious. The base , the crust and the toppings on pizza, everything was just tooo good . The only thing I didn't like was the Pitcher. Rest it was a great evening at Bakes & Beans.

Ambience is good enough,so was the cafe mocha which i had. Had a nice experience overall. The Scooter placed outside the cafe is a delight to see !

I went to this place with my friend who is a big fan of this place and have been coming since her college times. So we ordered her favourite grilled sandwhich, coffee and a chocolate pastry. Everything was good but not amazing.

Loved the pasta here and new chicken stromboli also tried the veg one and it was amazing, would recommend the place to everyone. Love the ambience, out of this world and sometimes the live singers make it a whole lot mesmerising. A FAMILY FAVOURITE.

Too good, Loved the oreo shake and the chicken bonanza pizza, it was ULTIMATE!! The Lemon chicken picata was ordered and it was out of this world.WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE!!!!!

The  staff is very efficient and the location is very good. <br/>A must try is the Chicken Bell Pepper Sandwich and Chicken Bonanza Pizza. <br/>For pizza lovers I recommend the Pizza Calzone and for vegetarians - Paneer Panini. <br/>I am a foodie and have been to a lot of restaurants but this is by far the best place I have been to !!

Monday blues already? Can't wait to have this cafe frappe coffee and this irresistible Banoffee Pie full of things naughty. This pie is super light and healthy too. With a crunchy layer and caramelised bananas a thick whipped cream layer on top makes it an appealing dessert.

One of the best coffee joints in amritsar. The ambience is basic and nice, giving you a warm homely feeling. The staff here is very efficient and how much the place is busy the food will always be served on time. The food tastes good and fresh, thin crust margarita pizza is probably the best in amritsar. Being a coffee place, it surely doesn't disappoint on coffee as well, serving great hot and cold coffee.

Very high prices and food quality is very bad .they use cheap food items and charge like 5 star restaurants. ONLY decoration is good but nothing else .me and my fiancee faced many problems like staf is not at all cooperative . They speaks like illiterates. Total waste of money. HATE THIS PLACE . I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE . Try to avoid this place. Thankq

Been here thrice, and wish to visit again only for the food! Ambience is certainly very congested and you can literally feel all the tables being settled so close. A small place basically, and you might end up getting no table if you visit in evening hours of weekend! Taste was 9/10 and the service too was 9/10. The chicken pieces in the white sauce pasta were way too salty. Bit of expensive but worth it. Very soothing as sometimes they have live singers. I Love the food but would like them to expand the congested seating. Apart from that its one of the best dining of the town and a YES YES!!

This place has been our hide out for quite some time now, started visiting this place about 4-5 years back and is still good enough to chill out with friends. Not so big in size, yet comfortable. Food is quite amazing. They have a good variety. Staff is extremely cordial.

I'm from Delhi, and was looking for a cozy cafe sort of place which served interesting food. <br/> Thankfully, found bakea & beans. They have a very innovative menu of continental stuff. If you are on a healthy eating streak though, you may have to get the order customized. But over all a fun place and they have a love band too :-)

It is one place which has been consistently serving great food for many many years. I make it a point to visit Bakes and Beans at least twice each time I'm in Amritsar. <br/><br/>For a small place, it is extremely popular since the quality of food has only become better over time. They have live music every Friday afternoon and Saturday evening. A pleasant, smiling faced singer sings songs from all eras and each of them is really enjoyable. <br/><br/>Coming to the food, here are a few things that I tried - <br/><br/>Piri Piri Chicken - very well done chicken pieces served with rice. It was thick and teeming with flavour <br/><br/>Margarita pizza and Gardenia pizza - thin crust is available with the large size. The cheese and the extremely different flavour of oregano make a great combination<br/><br/>Chicken Steak - it had a mushroom filling; very soft and very tasty. Veggies sautéed in garlic butter and served with mushroom sauce made this a delight to eat <br/><br/>Prune Salad - it was a bit ordinary compared to the rest of the food. The vegetables in it looked slightly unfresh but the taste of the prunes made it different. <br/><br/>Dessert - a slice of their very famous almond cake. It was a basic butter cake, very very soft and gooey with caramelised almonds on top. Always brimming with people, this place is always full.. Sometimes there is a live guitar while some days are normal. The ambience is nice but the staff could be more attentive.. He didn't come to the table for the first ten minutes and.. We had to ask for water 3 times and the service took a lot of time. <br/><br/>Coming down to the food, we had the insta mistra veg salad,, which was nice. The chicken pasta in mushroom sauce was dripping in gravy, with succulent pieces of chicken. Liked it. <br/>I had the mocha surprise which was nice while my friends had jungle java and caffe frappe. The drinks were fine as well.<br/><br/>In desserts we had, brownie with ice cream .. Hot gooey and chocolatey.. A good cosy cafe with soothing interiors and live music.. Live music grabs all the attention when you feel like sitting over that place all day long.. Coming to the food.. We ordered chicken caesar salad which was pretty nice. They could've added more veggies to it..there was just ice lettuce berg in it.. The taste was good though.. Fresh lime soda and cappuccino were prepared well and presented well. Chicken in barbeque sauce with garlic bread was nicely cooked. We had walnut pie with ice cream. A good dessert for a sweet ending. Pocket friendly. Would love to visit again. The live music was the show stopper.

It's well balanced with the tomato and garlic with a hint of basil. <br/>• Non veg Mezze platter is fantastic. The chicken and fish are cooked very well and go perfectly with the Lebanese dips. The hummus however is great sometimes and extremely liquidy at other times. The platter isn't your authentic type but a modern acquired take on Lebanese food. It's different but it's good! <br/>• Chicken steak was passé. Bland mushroom sauce and Sadly cooked chicken breast. <br/>• Grilled fish is a star dish. Tender fish in a mild sauce. <br/>• Sticky bun is a cinnamon caramel bun similar to the popular Cinnabon. Very rich and delicious. <br/>• Banoffie Pie is decent. <br/><br/>Verdict : Bakes and Beans is the coffe shop next door bustling with energy, crowds of people and conversations over coffee. There is a certain homely vibe attached to this place and the food is pretty good too. The flavours are simple but fresh and everlasting on the palate. They could improvise their sauces a bit more and put some work into delivering more consistency but ultimately it is a restaurant that draws back its diners for all the good reasons. <br/><br/>Cost/ person : Rs 400<br/>Will I visit again? To my utter surprise in the holy city of Amritsar and kulcha land around : here comes a tinch of Lebanon with hummus and babagonoush by side veg Lebanese platter falafel is must try , whereas they need to improve on there other side dishes on the platter with lot of Indian tangy sauces floating

I relish its Alfredo pasta n paneer tikka sandwich along with jungle java. Ambience is quiet good with not so much crowd. But prices are Lil bit high on ur pocket. So order limited. A great place to have coolers and shakes and lattes but if u want to grab a bite don't ever order anything from here. I ordered a lasagne it was cooked in such an amateur way that even my then 8 year old brother called it 'pav bhaji'. I guess that explains it all

have been going to this cafe since long now. have been renovated more than twice but food is still bad. we wanted a thin crust margarita which was there in the menu but couldnt offer as it was unavailable for some reason ,which was disappointing. the margarita that came was dripping with oil on top. the strawberry shake tasted so sweet that i couldnt even finish it.The only good thing would be the servicing and the poster on the wall which says "we dont have wifi coz we want our customers to talk among themselves".

This was a real surprise ! The food was excellent. Service matched the food. Ambience was cool & casual. Real value for money. Only flaw was coffee was served with the lunch rather than after. My flight was late so picked up some great sandwitches for my dinner on the flight. <br/>

But my visits here have always been pleasant which has made me come back over and again.<br/><br/>The location is great and the ambiance is nice and cozy. Pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, shakes everything is likable even the bakery stuff, cakes and pastries. <br/><br/>Prices are justified as well. All in all great place to hangout. Highly recommended!!
