Review Hi-que Restro & Bar - Amritsar

Food here was superb. The distinct differences in each of the food from other regions was very well articulated. Most food from other regions you eat has an Indian flair, this establishment keeps it authentic to the origin. There mutton kebab, Punjabi mutton, Basil rice and garlic bread with cheese was fantastic.

I went to hi que with family few days ago to celebrate wife's birthday. I liked the interior decor. The food was good, served at right temperature and was brought quickly to us. All the dishes(we ordered almost 15 different items) were delicious. We had ordered tawa roti which was cooked properly. Thus giving four star rating. But I do recommend this place.

Had heard decent reviews about this place so decided to go ahead and order food tonight.
I was disappointed!
The portion size is alright but the food is not worth the buck.
Chilly garlic noodles are under seasoned but over spiced.
Salt & Pepper corn was inedible. Soggy and gluggy.
Vegetables in Hot Garlic Sauce was okay but when u order vegetables i expect it to at least have mushrooms. There were none.
Chicken in black bean sauce was too pungent.
Thai Chai Chicken was the only saving grace. Well cooked and flavoured.

For a meal that costed close to 3 grand, I expected more in terms of quality, flavour and preparation.

The USP of the place is the quality and taste of the food, which is quite amazing, given the large variety of the menu. The owner of the restaurant, Angad Dalip Singh takes great care of the customers and brings a personal touch. A big shout out to him for always coming up with the best recommendations when you ask him for suggestions.
The restaurant has recently been refurbished, and the new look is bright and refreshing. They've got Live Bands every weekend, I would recommend calling before hand up to book a table to avoid waiting.
Dishes recommended:
Lemon Chicken, Steak Sizzler, Lebanese Platter, Snicker Sunday(This one will blow your mind)

This is one of the few multi cuisine restaurants that will never disappoint you with food. They have a huge menu to choose from, be it Indian Chinese or Continental, more or less all dishes are quite flavourful. The portion size of dishes is quite hearty to fill your hunger pangs.
Initially this restaurant was a part of “Yo China” chain, hence their Chinese is far better than the rest. Well I won’t say that they serve authentic Chinese, but decent Indian styled Chinese.
The staff is well trained, their service is good and on time always. But for me the ambience of this restaurant is too dull and somewhat gives a dingy feeling. The entire seating setup is pretty congested and the dark atmosphere doesn’t help either.

Its a good place to hang out with friends or your loved one. A good dating place too. They are specialised in Chinese. I tried Dimsum, Tai Chi Chicken, Spring Rolls and some Indian Food too. I liked everything. The ambience is cool. Its Amritsar so, one wouldn't find the metro crowd but yes, the crowd here is very decent. I saw everyone drinking pitcher filled with beer. Though they don't have much options for fine dining but still I prefer this over many other fine dining restaurants.
One more thing; they serve Cutting Masala Tea. Amazing. The taste is fantastic and I love the way they served.

Ambience: 7/10
Taste of Food: 7/10
Service: 7/10
Quantity of Food: 9/10
Quality of Food: 8/10
Location: 9/10

Overall it was a good experience here.
