Quite good food, but in the evening kulcha was not fresh as they cook it only in the morning and later just hit it up.

If you want to eat amazing non vegetarian food in Amritsar, this place deserves your attention. The taste is so good that you won't stop eating even after your stomach is full. Portion sizes are good, Amritsari fish tikka is must try. Butter chicken is good, can be better. Everything we tried was simply amazing. Service is quick, The place can be better maintained and cleaned.

Awesome food. Fantastic service. Food Cooked based on order. The owner and the son are very humble and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Non Veg is served. For tourist don't hv to worry about parking. The shop is situated inside a small lane. Clean restaurant. Everything here is super yummy and delicious. Opens until late at night.

Probably the best punjabi dhaba I have been to in the recent times. Located just outside the heritage walk, Amritsar. This has been my go to place for North indian cuisine during my stay in amritsar. Loved chicken tandoori, kebab, chicken curry and chicken lollypop. It taste JUST LIKE U may Think Its Suppose to be. The order is served within the reasonable time, so no complaints there and the price too was reasonable. Although the restaurant is inside a narrow lane but almost everyone including rickshaw guys would know this place. So getting there shouldn't be a problem for those coming from heritage walk.

As we entered this Dhaba, we were greeted by the owner and the staff. Place is clean and enough tables to cater large groups of family. It's situated within an alleyway but easily found once nearby. Hygiene is good and service even better. Staff are very nice and always attentive to your enquiries. The owner is very polite too and definitely a place where you wanna come back. I can't compliment enough regarding the food because it was just absolutely tasty. Definitely returning and recommend everyone to try this place.

This place is absolutely amazing. Especially if you don't find a space in Keser the Dhaba. Dish ordered, Chicken Tandoori - Absolutely recommend Chicken Rada - Extremely good Paneer Butter Masala and Malai Kofta - Recommended Overall great food, it's a hidden gem in Hall Road

Amazing food.. It looks like they are trying to maintain the historic ambience that this hotel is known for.. Could have renovated with an old touch..
Divya Rathore
Food was very very very delicious, for both Vegetarian and non vegetarian variety. You should try butter kulcha and any paneer curry. A bit costly but fully worth for the food .

Well this is the place for authentic Punjabi veg & Nonveg food when you are in Amritsar. Fish, Chicken, veg you name it & the Punjabi Dhaba special is the one to look out for. The man in the Red Turban is the owner, a very sweet person who understands your taste & what serves your palette....

If you are in Amritsar and wants to eat the non veg.. It's the best place to eat..best dishes like Chicken Tandoori.. Chicken hungama.. The staff is very polite.. Rootis served also well cooked . Good environment for families also.

This restaurant was recommended by the rickshaw-wala and we were very happy after we had a splendid meal. The restaurant was spacious and the service was very fast. The best part is that we did not have to wait outside for the table and for the food. The food was very tasty especially the Amritsari kulcha and chicken items.
Pratibha
This place is just amazing. I was full but i was craving for to authentic non-veg so we haven’t tasted their gravy but we tried starters and it was bomb. You can taste flavour of spices in every bite. I am surely gonna visit this place when my next visit to Amritsar

So definitely yayyy from my side to this restaurant ❤️

Punjab trip has always been a favourite on our travel list! So a hearty punjabi meal is always on the top priority. We had awesome Butter naan and butter chicken with lassi! Heavenly experience!
Foodessence
Hidden place in the gullies..but worth a visit. It was quiet packed up at dinner time. We ordered dal tadka and paneer. Anyhow panner has very different taste in Amritsar. We finished it in a jiffy. The service was quick. They serve non veg as well. But we preferred veg and it was good.

Punjab dhaba was a great place to get hold of all the Punjabi cuisine for all the travellers. We had the famous Amritsari naan and It was really very delicious. The crispy outer layer with a soft inside. The lassi was also very yummy 😍😍
Murari Madaan

We ordered brain masala, butter naan, mutton handi. the hotel was empty when we went over,no one attented to us initially,so service requires attention. senior citizen manning the billing counter did nt pay much attention to how late the food was getting, eventually our order arrived after 45 minutes surprisingly customers who arrived after 15 minutes got their order immediately after us,so food prep timing n looking after customer food delivery n timings requires attention.food was ok cooked ,portion was adequate and place does not have any parking area, its located in a gali, sitting is adequate.didnt find anything special here, saw lots of reviews so i went their.its ok ,if u don't hve any other non veg place, time is less go for it...
Guresh Kumar
4 star is only for non veg here. Veg dishes are not up to the mark... Would recommend only for non veg lovers.
Vinika Kumar
We ordered Dal makhini and paneer. Dal makhini was totally bland. And paneer was okish. And ambience is also ok. Was thinking it will be good but it was not all good.

Guys honestly, this place is quite overrated. There food is average but overpriced but the main disappointment was their staff attitude towards local residents of city. Only rickshaws n autos are pulling customers here on commission basis
Bhawya Wadhera
Me and my family went into food coma after eating the delicious food served here. I mean we were all full, yet we just couldn't stop eating. That's how amazing, rustic, filled with flavour the food was.
Foodies_on_earth
I would rate this place a once visit place. Food taste was nice and value for money. A little crowdy place. Waiting time is usually high.
Over all experience is great.

When in Punjab, eat like a punjabi 😅..
In frame,
Hongkong chicken,
Maghaz or brain or bhejha fry,
Butter naan and green chillies.

This place is famous for their chicken and mutton dishes. Perfect blend of indian spices. It's located in one of the many of by-lanes in amritsar. Do visit place when you are in Amritsar.
Follow me on instagram by just typing foodviajeros in the search bar 😇

It was two weeks back, when we visited Amritsar for the first time. After visiting Golden Temple we we're looking for authentic Punjabi non veg food.
And we banged to this place, not visible from road. Ambience was okeish as compared to Punjabi Dhaba.
We ordered by suggestion Chicken Hungama with Amritsari Kulche. Both were outstanding but but of spicy. Portion was also sufficient for 3 people.
The best part of the restaurant is that they don't throw leftover food in your plate. They keep it aside and give it to the needy people. We aslo supported them in their Noble cause.
It definite that whenever we will go to Amritsar we will must visit the place.
Sneh Singh
Must visit place to eat when you are in Amritsar. Try tandoori chicken and Mutton items, hidden gem in town hall ... All cabbies know this place...go and explore....
Aastha Sobti
Very good place... Especially the butter chicken is like wow... It's very buttery, yummy, and delicious.... Tandoori chicken and chilli paneer were also very tasty... I stayed in Amritsar for 4 days and everyday we went there for dinner... They provide water in disposable glasses but if you ask for glass ones they'll surely bring those to you.... They provide Salad and green chutney for free
AjitRai
Very Very Average restaurant which is expensive for no reason. Food taste was decent and no complains on that.
However. Ambience of the place was like jinxed. First floor of the restaurant was not even done properly and we could only smell paint which was quite irritating while having food. Service wasn’t to great either. To top it up the plates were dirty and disposable glasses were given to drink water. Imagine paying 450 bucks for a plate of fried fish and drinking water in disposable glass.
Food was not as that great as expected from place like Amritsar. The taste was average like any other hotel. Was excited to have great food here since won’t get opportunity to visit the city again and again.

We had there while my amritsar and dallhousie trip we was staying near golden temple so there is no non-vegetarian served after checking we found this place restaurant hide in small lane ambience was average but food was awesome evry dish we ordered was delicious..great taste

Third class and pathetic food. I have never eat such a disgusting and over rated food. I requested them not to use red chilli but they used it horribly. I will never recommend to any one.

Neeraj Kashyap
I tried chicken Tikka, paneer taka takk, lacha prantha and butter naan trust me paneer was so good and best part quantity of paneer According to price is good but on the other hand quantity of chicken according to price is not so good , breads were soft..!! Over all nice staff serves great taste.
Gurpreet Dhillon

After the long day of Amritsar, with hungry stomach we visited this dhaba ❤️ The best place to have chicken and Have amazing Kulcha. They have 20 types of Kulcha. Finger licking taste.
Food: If you love chicken then this place is worth visiting. Mainly ask them for Chicken Hungama. Haha this dish is really a Hungama. Kulcha is best. You can have any of those 20 types. Price is worth. After having food do drink Chach (Butter milk).

The manager is so friendly but you need to find for this place as the place is in small building. But place is near to golden temple so ask someone or google it. Sitting place is small so in peak season you might need to wait for 10 to 15 mins max.
Alefiya Bhiwandiwala
The only nonveg serving dhaba near golden temple area. Budget friendly and also delicious. Had chicken malai tikka starters which was made spicy on request and keema naan. Also the quantity of food is good. The owner is sweet and friendly.Huzefa Patheria

1st time I visit I searched on zomato for having lunch with family in amritsir . Non veg specially ... so i find punjab dabab food was really nice and we enjoy it. But punjab dabab is expensive as per ambience , service and as per menu. But as per the price of menu very high.... need to do something on it next time I have to think I will visit or no. Or recommended other too. Thank you.

Neat food. A very low key and small place. They’re always full and service is very slow. But the food is worth the wait.

Be careful to inform the server about your spicy preference, because their default is “Super Spicy”.

Good budget restaurant - Recommended!

My brother first time land on the holy City Amritsar. We stayed at Le Golden Hotel in front of Golden Temple. At night the aroma of the area is so precious and we were mesmerized by the beauty of the place. At night we went to famous family restaurant Punjab Dhaba, opposite to Hotel Ramada. As we are starving so heavily, I asked Manager that what is the famous Chicken dish which is spicy and tasty in which we can feel.the taste of Punjabi flavor. He suggested us Chicken Hungama.. that sounds like really a Disco balls into my stomach. But before we go for main course, we ordered.. tandoori chicken... Yummy right?
The taste of Chicken marination was flawless.. tangy, spicy & juicy. We were fall in love with the taste of Punjabi flavors.. and I highly recommend Punjab Dhaba.. if someone wants to enjoy good Punjabi flavor.

This is a hidden gem. It's located in one of the many of the bylanes of Amritsar. What stands as a testament of its quality is the fact that anyone will happily guide you to it. Coming to the food, we ordered tandoori chicken, mutton rogan josh, amritsari kulcha and tandoori rotis. The chicken was wonderfully spiced and delicate. Mutton was just fabulous, beautifully spicy. And the rotis were a perfect accompaniment to the whole affair. It's such a humble and quaint establishment, that you just know that the food is gonna be amazing. Must must visit.

After a tired day, wanted to have a nin veg meal, went to much hyped brothers restaurant but was disappointed to know that it only serves veg. Then went to this Punjab Dhaba, only 500 mts from there. Apart from lil slow service, food was really good. We ordered Chicken Taka tak, chicken tikka, shahi paneer. Food quality and taste was really good. Price was also quite afforfable. Will recommend it to everyone. Whenever you visit the Golden Temple next time, do visit this Punjab Dhaba for an amazing dinner.

What we ordered?
1 Chicken Tandoori
1 Chicken Hungama (Gravy)
12 Tandoori Rotis

Starting with the tandoori, It was a full chicken perfectly marinated in spices & butter. The chicken was not that Healthy though & the pieces were unexpectedly malnourished. thumbs up for the well prepared chicken, the masala did all the justice to the chicken's life. 3.5/5 for Chicken Tandoori

Chicken Hungama is a red gravy dish, onion based gravy with heavy pour of cooking oil, Spices were as perfect as needed & the Color came out of the kashmiri lal mirch really well.
Perfect texture came to the gravy with the onion tomato paste.
The down point was it tasted exactly the same like their Chicken tikka masala gravy 😂.
3/5 for the Chicken Hungama Gravy
480rs and it serves 4 very generously.

Last come the tandoori Roti.
These rotis are to die for, the flour has a distinct sweet taste of Punjab. It is amazing to have these rotis with anything you order to eat.
10rs per roti but does all the justice to your hunger.
5/5 for the tandoori rotis by Punjab Dhaba.

Seating is not highly comfortable but you can sit & eat your meal with comfort.
The upstair seating arrangement is good but the area stinks as the windows were closed when I visited their. The staff is prompt & gets your roti before you ask for one 😂
4/5 for Punjab Dhaba.
1 point gets deducted on the price for the Chicken gravy dishes. They are costly. Yes, Costly for a place like this which is located in the Gully of Town Hall road.

In Amritsar there are list of places which are must visit. But unfortunately one needs too much patience to surpass the long waiting hours just to try such restaurants in peak hours. Meanwhile impatient me started looking around while the rickshaw driver recommended this place.

Ambiance : Don't expect much cause all the Places in amritsar are just about ok. They all focus on food & service than ambiance I believe. I visited this place for dinner around 9.45 pm while there was no much crowd but surprisingly while I was checking out this place it became crowded.

Food & Service : This joint has non veg options too which is a plus point. Service was pretty quick be it main course of starters or hot piping tandoori roties.

Portions were VFM & taste for yummicious. This dhaba is hidden gem & saviour. Far better than crowded vegetarian dhabas in Amritsar.

Tried Mutton gravy dish which was simply lovely. The gravy was spicy & mutton was super tendor. Best pick it was. Ordered Half tandoori which came super early. Was little cold can imagine it was already made & kept maybe.it was in need of more charcol but the taste was yummy. Tandoori roties were comming piping hot on table overall lovely dinner.

Chass with jeera is must try. Sweet Lassi was average.

Quick look at Scorecard based on experience :Ambiance -2.5/5
Quality - 4/5
Quantity -3/5
Taste -4.5/5
Service - 4/5
Price - 4/5
Revisit - 4/5

This happened last month when we went for a vacation to Amritsar. And the place we stayed the owner over there directed us to this place.
Now we had to walk alot to be honest. But all the walking was worth it when we ordered food. It's a normal looking place quite old looking. The food we ordered was chicken kalimiri tikka, half tandoori chicken, bheja fry , chicken taka tak and butter naan.
Now when in Punjab eat like a Punjabi so the starter arrived and to be honest it was in abundance. And was soooooooo tastyyyyy tht I have water in my mouth when I am imagining about it. Chicken tandoori was equally good. Now we got served with the main course. And in tht time we forgot that we ordered bheja fry. So we had food which was sooo amazing tht we hogged and then we were sooo full. The waiter came to ask us should I order the bheja? As he knew we ordered extra because of excitement... And to be honest the place and the ambience when your in the city of dhabbas doesn't even matter. The food does Matter and it was worth it.
Amazing amazing food. Don't miss the food here is your in Amritsar. They serve real good non veg food 😍😍😍😍 Nishmith Chowta isn't the review as good as the. Food we had?

Richa Arora
The quality of the food was too bad. The only ok thing among others was chicken tikka, not too expensive but if one looks at the quality and quantity it's not worth it. not at all like the food one expects in dhaba.

I went my with my friends late night. This is only Dhaba which was opened late night.

We ordered Daal Makhani and they gave us different black daal with cream over it,we saw everyone out there was complaining for the food.

Very unhygienic and Commonplace Restaurant.

We had really a bad experience at this Restaurant.
