Review Cafe Cotinga - Anjuna

I came across this cafe while looking for “best breakfast places in north Goa” and oh! boy it didn’t disappoint. Had one of the best smoothie bowls here and all the other dishes ordered were also delicious. It was a wholesome, hearty breakfast. 100% recommend this gem.

What a place!! Absolutely loved the vibe. The service is commendable and the staff is so very polite. We ordered the cold coffee with fries and Mocha and they were 10/10. But the best part was their chocolate croissant and Cinnamon Danish 🤌🏻🤌🏻 10/10 recommended to anyone visiting goa!

Great place to hangout and spend hours in their outdoor seating; this place gives those typical old school Goa vibes. Food quality is awesome and some of the dishes that we tried were very nice. Tasted Pizza, Sandwiches and Burgers (Veg and Nonveg) as well as some Aloo Paratha. All were cooked to perfection and little room to complain. Coffee and Shakes were not that bad either. Outdoor bar with live screening and Pool Table is perfect place to spend your lazy afternoon with friends 😉 Definitely a must visit cafe and checkout for the rush during peak season.

The place is lit at night, good place for desert but a bit pricey I feel. We had multiple pastries The taste was good. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Choclate eclair, chees 🍰 pastry, 🟤 brownie all were good taste was mouth watering quantity /size was decent. Once in a while I would recommend it, as being in a tourist hot spot it's always filled with people. They have other dine-in options to burgers, smoothies and more desert and drinks options. Overall Would rate the place 4 out of 5.

Trust me that this place deserves more than 5 stars. I visited here on 11Dec2023 at 2AM. We ordered a typical North Indian dinner having butter chicken, Kadhai paneer etc. The food was so amazing and rich. It totally took my heart. The ambience was also amazing with a nice pool table.

Good food, however service needs a slight improvement, while the interior needs some improvements. We had to wait for a server to take our desert order however since no one turned up for 15mins, we gave up. The interiors need some serious thought though. There's leaks and some paint work is a must.

Good place. We had been here for Breakfast. Service was little slow but it was delicious food. We tried veg burger, parathas & French omelette. Prices are normally high in Goa, so yeah.

One of the best cafes for English breakfast in North Goa. Crossoints were ok but the highlight was the bacaon strips and the egg shsuka. Decent seating options.

Coffee and juice made by Vasant was on point. Otherwise it was okay food. We ordered farmers omelette. It was alright but I ordered coffee twice because it was so good. They have an excellent coffee machine Nuova Simonelli plus Vasant was very friendly and attentive. I don’t know the name of any other staff because none of them came but 5 stars for Vasant, his service and his coffee making skills. I suggest hot latte because that’s what I ordered.

It was one of the finest cafe in north Goa near Anjuna beach and their service food was super amazing. Everything is tasty but I would recommend their daal makhani it was out of this world no words !

Dropped by for a simple ham and cheese sandwich. And water melon juice. The ambience is pretty and service was on point. Vasant was helpful. The price of a juice though is 250+ which can be recalibrated. Food is otherwise fairly priced. They have a variety of desserts, for the sweet toothed.

Food was good .. but pan cake was bad .. ambiance was too good but very expensive place for normal people.. do not waste money on this place for food…. Staff was too good and very polite

Perfect instagramable place. The ambience is so pretty with welcoming staff. The food too was great. We had tried the pizza which was scrumptious. Well baked, Perfect crust. Loved the butterscotch milkshake though a bit too sweet. The place was indeed very cute. Definitely recommending Cafe Cotinga!

There was hardly any staff to assist us. We waited for over an hour for our breakfast. The aloo paratha was tasteless, the upma was bland and oily. We had a very bad experience.

Chocolate truffle.. its been long time I came to Goa. But if there is something that is exclamation mark to Goa then it is your deserts .. whenever I think about Goa first thing that comes to my mind is truffle.. the purest form of truffle that you have severd .❤️

One of the most coziest place in Goa, be it breakfast, brunch, lunch, evening snack or dinner, Cafe Cotinga has it all.<br/>I usually come here after a meal to try their desserts.<br/>The Apple Banana Crumble was a bit too sweet to the pallete.<br/><br/>The chocolate desserts here are fancy and delicious.<br/>Not too pricey and good portion are their thing.

We were staying at the Tamarind hotel in Anjuna, their in house restaurant is cafe cotinga! Love birdcage themed ambience. The pepperoni pizza here is really good. Apart from that we opted for their buffet breakfast during our stay. They serve a wide range of assorted breakfast menu. Their bakery is well curated. Enjoyed their baklava cake a lot! Pretty place to chill out with good food!

Beautiful Ambience and good food. We had a polite and helpful waiter Mr. Chandan who catered to our needs. We tried the crunchy chicken burger which was true to its name and the chicken club sandwich. The drinks are on point amd absolutely worth it ! I do wish however the food was served more quickly as we had to wait quite a bit even tho there was no crowd at all and the food appeared to have gotten cold by then.<br/>Good place but only visit if you have a lot of time to kill !

Perfect restaurant with mouth watering desserts specially the Banofee Pie and rest all desserts are also very good. Perfect service with good staff specially the guy Chandan is very good and polite woth awesome service experience.

The café is amazing ♥️ It is a must visit place for people who come to North Goa, especially during the night time. The ambience is great and the decor is just wow. You can prebook and customise your decorations for any special occasion. The food is just amazing and it's worth the price. The staff are courteous and their service is good. And not to forget, I should appreciate Chandan for service. Waiting to go back to goa to this amazing place. And....also there are games and discos.

Great place to have an early breakfast or even a late night craving. The menu has a mix of India, continental and few bits of European. One of the biggest selection of desserts to go along with it all.

Set up in an renovated Goan Portuguese house in Anjuna, if you're looking to have a reasonably fun evening with decent food and games, this is the place to go.<br/><br/>We ordered the Crunchy Chicken Burger, Chikonara and Margherita Pizza and a Chocolate Mousse. Although the items were made using fresh ingredients they lacked punch and hence, were tenuous(except for the Mousse).<br/><br/>The ambience is amazing. The exteriors are florid and there's a lot of backgrounds where you can click pictures for the 'gram. There's a pool table, a bar counter with a TV, a live music performance and various other props to kill your time while your food arrives (the service is pretty slow).<br/><br/>The restaurant feels entitled to a 10% extra service charge(apart from GST) and will not inform you of having added it to your bill/check so keep your eyes open if you don't wish to pay it.<br/><br/>All in all a nice experience if you're out with friends or family if you have the money to spend.

Had been trying to visit this place from quite some time.<br/>Totally worth it. Such a lovely restaurant with a cute theme. The lighting and decor are really good and there was a good hindi singer performing too.<br/>I was surprised by the quality of the food which was really great. The creamy vino fusilli pasta & hand cut potatoes was irresistiblly aromatic and yum. And it's one of the few places in north Goa with such reasonable pricing. A special thanks to Rishabh for making our visit memorable with his kind service.<br/>Definitely will be going back for more.

The vibe of the place is nice. It's all blue and white with good music. Food is superb, it took little time to serve our order which they took it on them and insisted to have complimentary coffees. Stayed here on a couple of occasions at the Tamarind Hotel and was very impressed with their food, deserts and drinks. Everything here is fresh, quick seevice and food is very delicious. Rarely would you find a good cafe in a hotel but this place is an exception. They are open till 12AM which is a big plus.

Cafe Cotinga located at The Tamarind Hotel , Anjuna is amongst the best in North Goa . This place is a mix of cosy interiors , lot of greenery and lots of delicious food .<br/><br/>For our meal we ordered their freshly baked thin crust " Fresh from the Farm "Pizza . For the dessert we ordered the Banofee Pie and I must say " Its Fantastic " .The taste was authentic yet classy .The service was prompt and staff was extremely warm and courteous  . <br/><br/>Best part is they also provide Free Home Delivery . <br/><br/>Definitely a must visit place to go for a meal or order from there in case you cannot make it there !!!!!

Awesome place with awesome food and the staff. Must try North Indian Thali and Chocolate Pastry with added rum. Upside: Brilliant ambience. You walk in and your expectations will be set high just by being there. You'd expect an evening of scrumptious food served with bracing hospitality.<br/><br/>Downside: The care taken in cooking. We ordered the Herb Crusted Chicken Breast and a Tomato & Basil Soup. The sauce and rub on the chicken showed just how much potential the dish had. Plain brilliant. But the chicken itself was cooked to death. Then stewed for a couple of years in hell. Thawed. And reheated before it finally made it to our plates. You could break a window with it. And the croutons for the soup were probably attached to the chicken. They probably had waited while the chicken returned from hell. Why else would they be so stale? At 4.5 stars, @Cafe Cotinga, we expect better.

Priya was courteous and helpful during breakfast time during our stay, always making sure we are comfortable and I get my strong cup of morning tea. Very good breakfast spread- don’t forget to try the pancakes and waffles!

One of the most underrated places to sit and chill in Goa. The ambience is simply rustic and just makes you want to relax and forget about the world. Coming to the food now you can order any thing off the menu because everything’ here is cooked perfectly for you. The staff is generously courteous and welcome you with respect. Went there looking at the high rating for this place but it was disappointing (could be an anomaly), they didn’t have any savoury dishes and the mosquitoes were killing us!

Cute little place, caught away from the hustle in Anjuna. Saturday nights if u want to spend some quiet time with your family and friends and reminisce old hindi songs then is the place to be! Good food, courteous staff -Chandan was quite attentive and even customized the dishes as per our needs.

Ordered eggs Benedict wherin they used olives as toppings and the eggs were poached too much. The taste did not go well as hoped, further we ordered the Punjabi breakfast in which the aloo paratha had no salt and masala and the upma was a bit bland. Visited the place as it was 4.0 above,now very disappointed. We had run behind the waiter to order as there was only one waiter taking care at the time. For a first time visit,we really really hoped it would be good. Please work on it guys✌️ one more point, the banofee pie was super nice so that's why I'm rating it a 2.

We visited this place twice during our stay in Goa and loved everything that we tried here. The ambience is incredibly cosy with a touch of an old-worldly Goa charm. The place has good live music on the weekends and the staff is very friendly and polite. All-in-all, this is a place that I'd keep returning to, over my next trips to Goa 😊.
