Today I had a cooking class with Joshy at “Tiger Chef” to cook a bean and fish curry. My expectations were exceeded: we were outside on the terrace, everything was clean, fresh, well prepared and Joshy has a lot of knowledge and talent. You can tell that he enjoys his job, that this restaurant is his passion and how much effort he puts into it. Unlike other cooking demonstrations, I was able to do a lot of cooking myself and had a lot of things explained to me. I also learned how to grate fresh coconut and how to make fresh coconut milk myself. Afterwards, of course, we ate and there were a few other dishes, like rice and dal, which Joshy had already prepared. Overall, I can only recommend this restaurant to everyone, definitely go there, the food is super tasty and fresh and prepared with a lot of love, the cooking course was a particularly great experience for me. Unfortunately I'm only here for a short time, otherwise I would come back.

We followed a cooking class with Mr. Joseph and it was very enjoyable to do and we learned a lot about Indian cooking.

We had a fantastic evening at the Tiger Chef. We took part in an excellent cooking demonstration, learning about the ingredients and how the flavour combinations worked. It was a delight to sit together at the end and eat a very tasty meal. I would recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed.

We tried many restaurants while we were in Kumily and this was without doubt the best food we had. The place is tucked away from the main road with plenty of parking (although the shows in the nearby art theater can make parking difficult during dinner hours, so plan accordingly).
We tried Meen Pollichathu (very good with nice smoky flavor), Chemmeen Kizhi, Bamboo biriyaani and Paneer curry. They were all very good. We went back for dinner and tried Puttu with Ellu Curry ..and that was simply out of this world. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area!
Today we had a cooking demonstration/class by Joshy. We learned a lot of new things while preparing a terrific fish curry and beans curry. He is very knowledgeable and patient in answering all newbie questions. And of course we had a very good meal. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful experience : cooking lesson with a real chef... we have prepared Kerala typical food that we have eaten afterwards. What a rewarding and pleasant experience. The chef is so kind explaining the specificities of Keralan food
