Review Limelite Bar & Restaurant - Baga

Greg Vizer
Great little place on titos lane. Near the bottom end before the beach. Been coming to this place for years. Same guy who runs it for the last 7 years or so. Fast and friendly service. Menu is not huge but has enough for most tastes. Normally have breakfast here. Which is always tasty and very senisble on price. No parking except for a couple of scooters. But would recommend and will go back again and again.

There is a nice vibe to this place. Just a stone's throw from the Baga Beach and the busy Baga - Calangute road. We were really hungry after a relaxing swedish massage and were looking for a quick bite. We were two couples. Ordered a Draught Tower and some starters like Màsala peanuts, Chicken lollypops, french fries with peri peri sauce. Rotis and Chicken gravy was the main course. Really liked the warm service here and the food too tasted refreshingly good. Spent more than 2 hours here rocking our heads to some groovy numbers. Will definitely visit this joint again.

Nice place. Friendly staff and good ambience. Food quality is good. The sizzlers may not be worth it. The goan pork sausages chilli fry was amazing. The meat burger too was delicious. Service was a bit late though.

It is a nice vibe to this place. Just a stone's throw from the Baga Beach and the busy Baga - Calangute road. Friends were really hungry after a relaxing swedish massage and were looking for a quick bite. We were two couples. Ordered a Draught Tower and some starters like Màsala peanuts, Chicken lollypops, french fries with peri peri sauce. Rotis and Chicken gravy was the main course. Really liked the warm service here and the food too tasted refreshingly good by my friends.

Very good and decent place in Tito's Lane. This is the only place in Tito's Lane where you can enjoy good food in peace. Food is very good. Perfect place for breakfast 👌

It's Goa baby. They serve chilled beer in breakfast! Bacon & eggs were good, too.

I've been here for 3 nights straight and the service is commendable. The manager Alex is way too friendly and homely. Don't give a second thought to drink at this place. You will not regret it.

Quality of food served is amazing. Spread of liquor is good. The place is on the busy road of Calangute beach and Baga beach. Sea food served is amazing. Staff is also good

This is one of the best places to eat near Baga on a tiggt budget. Food is excellent, ambience is really nice at night. Overall, if you want to have varieties of cuisine, you won't be disappointed.

The three stars are for friendly service and the owner. The place is average but only few places that are open around 8am for breakfast in baga.. Rest all take 9-10am to open. So in case you are really hungry, you can come here but the dishes are not that great.
Avoid the chicken as the nuggets and sausage we tried were really stale. The ambience is shack like and place is walkable from beach. However we got a good cup of cappucino and fresh juice here so it is an ok place to hang out.

Visited this place today. The only thing good is cheap alcohol. Ordered chicken satay, it was horrible. The chicken was stale. I was not able to cut it even with the help of knife and fork.

Limelight in Tito’s lane give u a retro look to its ambiance with multiple country flags n pics....
Food is not much tasty n the waiter was unprofessional... it’s only good to have a drink with some starters 👍

The English breakfast was amazing . Loved it . They were kind enough to change the ham bacon with chicken for one of our friend. The service was great . Even got us jenga to play with . The best was seeing the poster attached which made our day .

A dream place for every Indian - Goa .......Because of its environment. With the smell of Goan culture , Limelight is an awesome restaurant , Open house type cafe, beach is nearby , the busy street, lots of Indian & foreign tourists , best and awesome ambience , lots of country flags to attract foreigners , no AC ,They offer Happy Hours during day time which I liked most.
And food here had variety - from Continental to Indian - with their specialities.
I'm not a much sea food eater , so tried Kadhai Paneer with Jeera Rice - it was made with Goan style.
Had pints of Tuborg - World seemed beautiful there.

4*

Ordered a lot of dishes there including pizza, pasta and spring rolls
All of them were horrible
The spring rolls too oily and the pasta didn't taste like pasta, too bland
The pizza was also bad
Drinks were just fine
Slow service

This is just like another restaurant, no ambiance, a.c. or lavish furniture or interiors. But if you dont care & just hungry, then its good place. Taste is fine enough & pocket friendly too.

We ordered kheema omlet & govan sausage for breakfast. It was a bit spicy (may b due to authentic govan masala) although quantity was also good, that I didnt had lunch after this.

Taste : 3.5/5
Quantity : 4/5
Economy : 4/5
Ambiance : 2.5/5
Staff service : 3/5
It's small place in the Tito's lane serving sheesha, alcohol & food.
This place had a really good vibe to it though the staff was a little confused what kinda drinks they serve here.

The sheesha pot was nicely done & it went on for a long time without giving us a sore throat.
We were skeptical about trying food over here as it looked a little deserted though we saw people enjoy their meals.

They had good happy hours going on.
A nice place to chill & smoke some sheesha with your friends.

Apart from nice ambiance, nothing was worth visiting this place. Poor food quality and taste. Quantity was very less as compared to price. Went there for breakfast and was very disappointed...

Limelight is the restrobar located on the busy street of Baga beach. Whenever I am in Goa, I make it a point to visit this place no matter what.

My experience with every visit have never been disappointing.

This is a very cozy place to catch with drinks and meals.

Though my favorite here remains Chilly chicken Goan style. This comes with a portion of rice and potatoes fries addimg to your fats😛

They are also good with sea foods, I dont eat it so not my personal reviews but my friends experience.

Staff is very friendly, price is economical.

Just another restaurant located in Tito's lane nothing fancy about this place , the food was pretty average, no air conditioning and the humidity just gets to you , coming to the food and the service , the food was just ok nothing from the stuff which I tried was outstanding, but kudos for the cocktails served they were the only saving grace in the otherwise dismal restaurant

This is the famous lane that leads to Mambo cafe, Titos and Baga beach.
While some places have a modern look, this place is fuddy-duddy, old fashioned yet has a quant charm. Moreover stocks up the vest spirits n beers at reasonable prices.
A King will cost you jus Rs 100/
Plate of prawns fry Rs 300/
It has a big LED TV screen to enjoy games and peppy music playing. Visited by locals n a favorite for foreign tourists.
Service is a tad bit slow but then who is in a hurry when you are in Goa.

Amazing place for breakfast at baga located in the titos lane... The staff is welcoming and friendly u can chill here as long as u want... They have some indoor games like Jengos and Uno which helps u kill your time... Overall a perfect place to chill in this hot summer and kill the heat... And yeah they have happy hours in the morning for Indian drinks so good on the pocket as well... would recommend the Full English Breakfast filling and yummy... 😍😍

Goa is where u go to forget the world and still be sane within it !!
Located at one of the happening locations in goa just near baga beach on titos lane is this place.
Gives out a chill ambience in its flags theme, (Indian Flag not visible) and comfortable seating.
went here for an english breakfast.
Awesome platter with mushrooms, baked beans, toast and scrambled eggs, jalapeno tomatoes, chicken sausages and nuggets with a cup of very strong coffee.
Did not try anything else except this for both times that i was here
Cost is not a worry at all.
Chill place. Go Goa !
Food – 3/5

Drinks – 4/5

Ambiance – 3/5

Service – 4/5

VFM – 4/5

Walked into the restaurant on 28 March at around 4.30pm. They were playing good English tracks and hence decided to sit here. They do not have air-conditioning, it does get hot during afternoons as the fans don’t seem to be able to help much with the humidity.

In food we ordered -
Chicken burger – it was really small but tasted good. Served with salad and fries. We asked for mustard sauce and thankfully they had it.
Grilled calamari with salad – the portion of calamari was really small, but tasted good, though a few pieces were charred.

Beer was served chilled.

They have a few games placed on their tables to keep you occupied while your food arrives.

Free wifi and English tracks playing are a plus.

Prices are cheaper than most other restaurants nearby.

Waiter was friendly and courteous. Even after finishing our meal and paying the bill he requested us to sit and use the free wifi :-)

Total bill Rs 590

Went to this place for brunch.
We were 9 and got seated pretty quickly.
I happened to love the food here as compared to a lot of places I tried at Goa.

The chicken, the chowmein was more like Maggi but still tasted good, the prawns were pretty great too.
We had a veg English breakfast which I personally did not like. Everything else was pretty great!

Food is very yummy! We saw this small decent place and wanted to explore. But this place turned out to be delicious for food. Not a big hotel but worth going for food.Price and quality is great.Staff were very good and helpful.Food was served in time. You can come here for food if u r staying in calaungate or Baga lane.
Kartik Singal
Food is good but manager is very rude
Ordered calamari beef and the food arrived on time and was nice . Well located restaurant in heart of Titos lane in baga Goa

The place will entice you by offering drinks at cheap rates. Not very hard to notice as it is well located in the middle of Titos Lane.We went there and ordered draught beer which was pathetic. Pretty unlike goa where the staff is not at all courteous and welcoming. Will not recommend this place at all.

Very good food and great staff! Try the breakfast menu here.. Especially the toasties. They have an amazing variety of good breakfast options. Also loved the Vindaloo

Excellent service! ordered the Calamari, Goan pork sausages, Meat Fest Pizza which were really good. There are games like 4 in a row, Chess, Jenga to keep you busy while your order arrives.

Limelight a decent place for breakfast in Baga lane. We ordered many things without having idea of quantity they will provide.

We were two and ordered chicken Russian salad, veg cheese club sandwich, fish fingers with cheese and veg salad.

Every thing was yummy except the veg salad coz in veg salad they made that only of cucumber onion and tomato with mayonnaise #waste.

Rest it was amazing especially Russian Salad. Staff behaviour very friendly.
Ambiance:good :sports bar : jenga available
Plus they keep cigarettes and very low-end price as compared to others, as in this area they keep any price of cigs (MRP doesnt matter) but unlike others this place hardly takes 10-20rs extra per pack. :) btw smoking is injurious to health #dont smoke :)

An average place for the food.. Went there to have brkfast.. Wasn't impressed with it.. Omelette was not prepared well at all.. Its open early bt dsnt get credit for the food..

A very moderate and average place to crash for breakfast. That's what we did atleast. With a decent breakfast menu moderately priced, we couldn't have asked for anything more after a hectic night.
Good omelettes (mine was a little burnt :P)and sandwiches and juices.
Ordered cheese masala omlettte with toast butter and ham and cheese sandwich. The taste was nice but the size of the sandwich was too small. And the bill came out to be 280/-
Good enough.
Nitasha Bhakuni
Actually I went to baga for shopping but randomly selected this place for breakfast.
No doubt in Goa it's budget friendly and best place to have breakfast. Lemonade and cheese sandwich was actually nice.
I tried sandwich with goan sausages, didn't knew that it has pork. Hahhahahaha
I managed to finish it any how.
Otherwise service is good over here and the staff too.

This place adds to the aura of Goa. Not that it is among the must go places in Goa....but it did delight us when we were really hungry after a wash at Baga. Cheap, good and great breakfast. The English breakfast was well cooked and the service was great. Totally worth a visit.

This is an average place and the ambience is not all that great. However the food is very good and the service is really fast. They play very good music and the restaurant has great offers on cocktails and beers which is really good. Very pocket friendly.

I wish I had the option of giving this place a NEGATIVE RATING! Trust me folks, nothing is remotely Good with this place. Located in the hustle and bustle of the hyped Tito's lane, the only factor that probably attracted us and others was the fact that they had a couple of screens and projectors playing soccer matches.
Only once you enter, you realize how messy the place is - their tables, floors, furnishings, cutlery, and I can go on..
While the drinks are over-priced as compared to any other good shack/restaurant/cafe and without any offers per se, the food is the "limelight" - and in no way with positive connotation.
With just two dishes that we ordered we can confidently say how bad everything else must be on their Menu. Pork Vindaloo couldn't have been worse, with the Pork being more rubbery than Rubber itself and the Chicken Sizzler was a big joke! It is an insult to any place that serves Sizzlers and an insult to the dish itself.
To top it all, the server had no clue about the menu, couldn't even recommend us any dish to order, and was rude as well.
Enough said, in summary - PLEASE AVOID.

This was in the limelight with us for all the wrong reasons. Bad food, bad service and nothing particular to look around.
Situated in the Tito’s lane in Baga, this restaurant presents nothing in terms of ambience and feel. Overall the food and décor are very low rate. It's not prepared with attention to detail and ingredients used are budget.

We entered this place because of the huge crowd here, expecting good food and service. We were wrong on all count. The only reason people were here was because of the giant screen running the football match between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Not many restaurants were playing the match so all footfall fans had made LimeLight their spot.

The place is dirty, the table cloth, cutlery EVERYTHING!

We ordered for pork vindaloo(for me) and chicken sizzler(for my friend). BIG MISTAKE! The sizzler was not only without any sizzle, it seemed nothing like a sizzler. It was just putting together fries, rice and vegetables in one plate. Didn’t look good, didn’t taste good. It arrived almost after I had finished my meal.

These people have their tandoor outside(which the waiter did not mention when I was ordering my meal in the first place) so the second chapatti I ordered, took 15 minutes to come. When we requested the waiter to heat the vindaloo as it was all cold by then, he refused- straightaway. No apology, nothing. A straight no!!

The worst thing (even more than the food or the service) was the attitude of the staff. When I shared the meal experience with the manager, he chided the staff in front of us but the moment we turned our back, they started making fun. Tsk Tsk. That was the nail on the coffin.

We are never going back there, nor would I recommend it to anybody unless you just want to eat some snacks, have some beers and just about need a place to sit. But I guess even then the shacks would be a better choice

We were broke and we didn't want to spend too much on food that night. We chose limelight to be a budget place for us.

With matches on and posters of clubs and players, this does make an attempt to be a sports bar but fails in the spirit or the beat which comes out of a closed bar.

The food for non vegetarians was great except one dish made of a fish called the markella .

Calamari was fabulous. And so were the crispy prawns.

We also had a pitcher of KF draught and feni. The latter was bad and gave a sense of poorly made liquor.

Overall, we liked the place considering its wanna-be cool image and the rates on the menu card .

Good polite staff..good music..awesome rates and service..

We ordered 30 pints of beer one shesha watched a football game..ordered 4 starters and the bill came out to be 3200...thats just awesome

Good food...good service... Best part is they open early too.. Loved the quirky statements written on the boards... Good place to have light food while watching TV... Food is pretty cheap ...

As a custom of Tito’s lane, most of the restaurants run as your typical late night pubs, having loud happening music and serving sides with your beverages. Limelight too is one of those, but what differentiates it from the others are its working hours, despite being able to function at night, these guys are the earliest folks out there to start serving you a heavy breakfast. The place is not the most decorated or maintained out there, quite rusty and hasn’t undergone a renovation for probably the longest time. Also they have a projector setup and the restaurant is infused with football club logos, banners and scarf, giving you the feel for a perfect night out with the guys for a match screening.

Although our visit was on a very early morning for breakfast, being the only table to serve, the staff was at optimum speed, and ready to offer great service. Our heavy breakfast comprised of Aloo Paranthas, Cheese Masala Omelets, Fried eggs with Bacon, Chicken Nugget with Chips and grilled sandwiches. As our order quite clearly reflects, the guys have a massive menu, and all the items are available without any ‘no longer serving’ or ‘too early to serve’ hassle. The cutlery, tableware and setup is definitely sticky, but then again every place in Goa is. The food is relatively quite good, the cheese masala omelet along with the fruit juice being the most appetizing choice, the chicken nuggets on the other hand can definitely be done without. Overall a good place; has great ambience, modestly unhygienic, great and pleasant staff, yummy food, one of the better places in Baga.

Gives a feel of sports bar.. Food is amazing.. The calamari'is either golden fried o Goan style is dish to watch out for. If u are beef lover , then this the place , as their beef roast is just as good..

This place will be remembered forever XD The ambiance gives a feel of a sports bar, the name suggests Limelight as a 'Cocktail bar' but actually it accounts for neither of them :PThough the food seemed to fit to the palette well. Chicken starters are wholesome. Main course i felt was a little low on the quantity for the price they charge. Placing the order and receiving it is a kind of challenge here. On our visit we only found two people, one was taking orders for various calls from around the tables and the one behind the bar who was astonishing preparing drinks for about an hour. Service is real slow.
However the one thing for which this place will be remembered is a special board we saw that was placed right next to our table :D

A place on the Tito's lane for some good breakfast. I was put up in Zhino's which is on the lane right besides this place. Went here for brunch with my guy and ordered for English breakfast, prawn cheese omelette with toast, cold coffee and orange juice. Nice food and u have games to play while u wait for ur order.
PS- This is not beach facing but the food more than makes up for it.

Inside with no views but plenty of character - in fact this picture pretty much says it all..
The food here is good and the portion sizes are massive - thank god we didn't order one dish per person, we barely managed to finish two dishes in three people & these were just starters ;)
