Review Legacy Of Bombay - Bardez

Great place with an absolutely eye-catching interior. Good option for various occasions such as celebrations, dates, family dinners, business meetings etc. Comfortable seating and soothing light designing. Cool and calm ambiance. Slightly heavy on the pocket but worth it taking into consideration the quality of food. A must try!

Great place, great food. Based in the heart of Panjim on 18th june Road. Beautiful relaxing environment. Excellent service. Tasty and yummy food. Good portion at reasonable prices. Visited again today, was satisfied with good food but disappointed with service as it seems they are very very understaffed. Second time such experience of delayed service. Please come back to your original good service. Have been patronising you since 2006 but the last two visits have been sad experience.

Visited this place all the way from our hotel in Candolim on a friend's recommendation. Was quite sceptical before our food was served. We ordered for mixed veg pasta, veg burger, veg exotic pizza, veg grilled sandwich with cold coffee. The burger and sandwich were served with fries and mayonnaise salad. The portion sizes were good enough. We ordered for 4 dishes and it was quite sufficient for 5 adults. We really enjoyed our meal, service and staff behaviour. I'm glad we visited this place on our trip to Goa.

A experience to enjoying dinner here, so hygienic and yummy food items there serving .yahh its Soooooo good and delicious 😋🤤 all vegetarians should try here. I enjoyed it

Neat and well maintained. Ambience was good. Had thali.. supposed to be Gujarati thali but taste didn't match the original Gujarati food. Probably they wanted to cater to the local population.

The food and service was excellent. The staff were attentive and the food was served fairly quickly. The restaurant itself was also very clean

My family and I have been going here for years now. The food has always been great at least for us. It's a pure veg restaurant, yet it has a lot of variety in the food. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but not too expensive. I would recommend for a nice meal with family or friends.

Overall a nice place with good ambience. dining at legacy of bombay pure veg restaurant was an excellent.

Unlimited thali ! Everyday new menu . Over all food quality is best. You can't eat much as the thali has many items. Chaat items are not upto the mark. Even paav bhaji isn't that great. It's good for proper meal or South Indian dishes, Italian food , in my opinion. Try paan out side the restaurant.. delicious.

Third day of my Goa trip, finally the best i had till now, as i am from Delhi, flavors & taste was really Great Full marks for the ambience & Nicely setup clean upmarket sitting. Must Try include Gol gappe, sevpuri, pina colada, pizza roma, paneer tikka & Mumbai style pao bhaji. Dosa was also good with value for money tag. People were flooding in throughout. Must visit In panaji, recommended by a local Friend.

This place has a lot of dishes from Mumbai hence the name 'Legacy of Bombay' This is a pure veg restaurant which is a blessing in disguise for vegetarian people in Goa. Everything from the starters such as Pani Puri to snacks like Pav bhaji to main course such as Paneer items can be found here.
Great place for vegeterian foodies , a variety menu all the way from samosas, sandwiches, dosas, idli wada sambar, burgers, amazing chaat, chole bhature, kesar lassi to mouthwatering Indian & Chinese Cuisine. Serves breakfast lunch and dinner. The ambience is really good and the service is quick. Every item is uniquely prepared and served. It's undoubtedly the best vegetarian restaurant in Panjim truly Aamchi Mumbaiya Style.

When you are in Goa and craving for Bombay street meal then drive through Legacy of Bombay - Fidalgo.

This place is on ground floor of the hotel. Wonderful I must say. The pav bhaji wowww. No color added. Purely Authentic. And the pav were quite heavy I must say.
The quality of pav were thick in size but truly baked well. And also loaded with butter in it 😋😋

Chole bature were also good. No color added thankfully. And batura was well fried.

The cheese over pav bhaji was just like a cheery over cake.
I am a fan of it now.

The service is a bit slow I must say. While payment it took around 10 mins to verify my payment.

Rest assured this is one of my favourite restaurant in Goa now.🥰
Pranav Silimkhan
I tried chole bathure here. Was very tasty😍. I love their chaat too. Nice place to go to if you're a veg person.

Will never visit this place again. We were super hungry when we came here and the staff took order and just disappeared. One dish got served post waiting for long period and post one reminder and another dish just did not got served. Even after multiple reminders there was no delivery of the second dish. When we told the staff to cancel our second dish because it was getting infinitely delayed, they were rude enough to simple process the bill without any regret. Would never ever visit this place again.
Ojesh Dugar
Good place to have food, in the center of market.
Chola bhatura, pav bhaji, pasta are all good. Cold coffee was good as well. Price are reasonable as well.
Rashida Zaki
One can just order any random dish without worrying about the taste of the food here! The Chef here cooks amazing vegetarian food.

Have tried almost everything from the menu card and wasn’t disappointed even once

Legacy of Bombay is one of the pure veg restaurants at fidalgo.

It is open whole day
Service is very quick here, and food is also delicious.

Must try dishes here :
Cream of spinach soup
Kanda bhaji
Veg lasagne
Veg augratin
South indian dishes.
Bhel

This is one of the many restaurants of Fidalgo hotels located in the heart of Goa.
Its a decent place with courteous staff and reasonable service
Pav bhajii and Paper Masala Dosa is a must try
Went to this place as the reviews were pretty good. I think one must keep ones expectations in check and this place will not disappoint. Ordered pav-bhaji, which was amazing, but having grown up eating Mumbai street food, I don't think it is comparable to that. But on its own merit you can give it a chance. It was buttery and not too spicy. The quantity is good enough for 2.
Ordered amras, which was amazing. Just as you would make at home.
Sev Puri was average, nothing to write home about.
All in all, you can visit if you are in the neighborhood.

This place has been popular in town for it pav bhaji and I have been wanting to try it since the time I have heard about it.

The name says about it all. LEGACY OF BOMBAY. This vegetarian place in town has superb options for vegetarians and has decently good pav bhaji. The bhaji was slightly sour- probably had slightly extra tomato but the pav and the amount of butter in the bhaji was just right. Oozing in each bite.

It's a nice place for your vegetarian days ;)
Mahima Bhatia Chadha
Super duper food- great ambience ! Ordered the specialities and wasn’t disappointed at all. Their different types of pao bhaji - a speciality there, not to be missed!
Sakshi
Perfect place for vegetarian food . The pav bhaji the Thali , veg biryani, veg crispy was delicious. The price is also quite good and the service is good too

I've been coming to this restaurant for a while now. Usually it's for a quick snack or a get-together with famuly or friends. I have seen it's evolution ie.. shifting of the location within the property or the change in the interiors. But what has caught my attention is the consistency in the food quality or the impeccable service. The best place in town for South Indian cuisine. I strongly recommend this place for a snack in Panaji.
Jay Patel
It is a good place if you want to typically Bombay taste or it is also a good place if you are from the north and want something to eat in south Goa.
We were there at the odd time so this review is only for snacks, did not try any curries or dinner type food.so check other reviews.
We tried pav-bhaji, sandwich, pasta, bread toast and dosa. Everything was prepared perfectly and tasty compared to many other restaurants in Goa.
Price is a little bit higher, but it is Goa. Tea and coffee are also good, not the best.
Four because service is a bit laggy which can be improved.

Food 5/5
Service 4/5
Value for money 4/5
Gaurav Charaya
Received an Rubber band Inside the Gobi Cheese Parantha. Such a Nasty and Substandard service was Never expected. Never rely on this Restaurant for food.
Even after Complaining No Resolution Provided.

Also Sent Chhole instead of Dal makhni and Pickle. DON'T ORDER FROM THIS.

Clearly the best veg restaurant in Panjim. Excellent food and even better service. This place is one big reason for me loving Goa so much. Luv LOB.

We go to these place once in a week... awesome food and service plus the dosa is so delicious there... if you love south Indian food then you should definitely visit this place plus the staff is amazing there love this place...

I live in Candolim where they say is the heart of all activity but I say Hotel Fidalgo was where I found great food!

Inexpensive, neat and far superior in character and taste! The staff was Top notch too!

I just tried the Dosa really and that decides it for me! I would come back for more!
Prasad Sawant
Decent food and decent ambiance. Pricing is bit on the higher side but there are several varieties to try. Their grilled options are nicely prepared, chat is decent. I would suggest grilled stuff and time!
Amavel Murty
The go to place for street food in a hygienic setup when you crave the Bombay pav bhaji at evening chai time or the pakoda or the most wanted GOL grappa. Yes the quality of food is superior.
Rajat Kumar
I am sitting in the restaurant and am absolutely disgusted.

Ordered my food almost an hour back - nothing!

Asked the waiter how long? He said 5 minutes about 15 minutes back and just disappeared!

I used to be a regular patron of the restaurants at Fidalgo, as a matter of fact had their membership at one point of time.

Don’t think I will do it ever again!
Seyieleno Seleyi
Going by previous reviews this place sounded worth a try. Service was much much below par, we had to even ask for forks and spoons which was just placed on the bare table by hand...not even on a quarter plate. Pav bhaji so tasteless, dum aloo luchi was served with aloo in some creamy gravy which is definitely what dum aloo is supposed to mean. Mushroom fried rice was okayish and so was the veg balls in garlic sauce.

If you are vegetarian than must try Legacy of Bombay...good food, great ambience, pure vegetarian restaurant n very friendly staff...i think it's best place for breakfast.
Thank you so much Vijay for your hospitality. We will be back soon.
MOHITA SEDANI
It's the best place with good vegetarian food to eat.. We ordered pasta which was awesome.. We had Roma pizza which was cheesy and delicious also the virgin Mojito was soothing
And paneer chilli as a starter was also nice.
Sana Khan
As a tourist it was a first try at the place.
And walked in without any prior thought or review.
A sincere apology at the beginning.
We were so hungry that we couldn’t manage to click pictures.
We had ordered for idli vada sambar, Pav bhaji, aloo pakoda and cheese masala dosa.
All the food items were amazing.
Food - 5/5
Hygiene - 5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Service - 4/5
Friendliness of the staff - 5/5

A must visit 👍🏻

Short and precise reviews help a lot.
Taste - 9/10
Service - 9/10
Hygiene - 8/10
Cost to taste ratio - 1:1

The hotel is amazing. Great taste. As the name says, it do maintains the legacy of bombay food. From street food to continental. Every dish is worth the penny. I think they bake their own bread, which tastes good. Even south indian dishes are close to perfection.
Krina Parekh
This is one of the finest restaurants in Goa.

The place is huge with well spaced out tables.
The service is quick and easy.

The food here is surely going to impress your tastebuds.

Food :
▪▪▪▪
Delhi Papdi Chaat - Delicious. Recommended 👍

Pav Bhaji - yumm. Bhaji was total bambaiya style.
well spiced & tasted awesome. Recommended 👍

Paneer Tikka - well marinated soft paneer pieces dunked in this spicy gravy , tastes too good. Recommended 👍

Roti & Rice were also called.

Fidalgo also has many other in house restaurants with different specialities.

Overall, a very good experience.
Must Visit 👍👍
Amazing Food. We ordered Pav Bhaji and Onion Pakode (Bhajiya). I must say that the taste and quality of the food was really good. A must try for those who prefer pure veg.

This is our family go to place for veg food. Earlier they had very limited seating now they have extended their area. It’s a mid range restaurant with good food. I would highly recommend their paneer tikka which just right with the correct softness. And one of my fathers favourite is their sev puri which is also quite nice. One thing that I would ask them is to speed up their serving time. Overall it’s a very good restaurant for veg and Jain food.

After a couple of good experiences (mainly for the food), the last visit left a sour taste in my mouth.

There was absolutely no one to attend to our table for almost 10 mins after being seated. One menu card was given as a favor amongst the 4 of us. With rest of the patrons quite literally begging for a wait staff to take their order, we knew it was time to get ourselves outta there. Mind you, there were just 2 employees (including one cleaner) to cover an area of 10 tables

If you can't afford enough staff, atleast reduce the number of tables instead of taking your patrons for granted.

They've always had problems with the service, being at snail's pace. But this time, they took the cake.

Never again.

Place is above avg.Like above avg but not the best in terms of food.Do try their piping hot gulab jamuns after wholesome meal.
Very good in terms of staff behaviour and service.

Awesome food! Vegetarians can go here without any hesitation.

Family friendly & great service, good staff. They were quick to get the food as well.

Amazing restaurant with delicious food and courteous staff. we ordered dal makhani, rice , chhole bhature, farm house pizza, manchurian n all the food were superb.

only provlem we found was washroom , it was dirty n not in good condition.
Niloni Shah - The Jain Food Palate
From street-style chaats & bombaiyya pav bhaji to mouth-watering Indian Chinese, this quaint old-style restaurant (pure veg!) situated in the heart of Panaji, houses all yummy delicacies of Bombay. Understands Jain requirements perfectly well!
I ordered the Baby Corn Chilly Fry & Pav Bhaji. The baby corn was fresh, succulent & full of flavour in every mouthful. The green bell peppers & finely chopped chillies complimented the cornlettes perfectly! I wasn’t sure how the Pav Bhaji would compete with the high quality taste we’re used to in Mumbai, but I was quite pleasantly surprised. It was deliciously cooked!
My family loves coming to this restaurant because it suits & caters to their palates comfortably & each time we leave with a happy experience.
Keep up the good work, Legacy of Bombay!
Sunitaa Mathur
A perfect family place. it does remind you of bombay restaurants. We have had their south Indian dishes in our earlier visit, this time we opted for chaat.
Golgappas were okay, not very crisp and masala water was little blend. Dahi bhallas were crisp rather than soft, Delhi samosa chaat was good. They said they are famous for paav bhaji but frankly speaking I was disappointed. The bhaji was not tasting like paav bhaji it was more like mashed sabzi. Not enough butter.
I will visit this place again but not for chaat for sure
Service very slow, very very slow........
Food good................
No staff on time............
Very less staff to serve food................
Bad experience. NOT RECOMMENDED!
Went there for the first time on 28 September 2017. Ordered Misal Pao and Veg club sandwich. Taste was fine. Sandwich was extremely dry, and nothing like a club sandwich. It was rather a toasted veg ( tomato and cucumber) cheese sandwich only.
When they gave me the bill, the Misal and Pao had been billed separately. On asking, the manager said that pao is an optional dish, and is given only on request... I mean, have you ever heard someone ordering Misal only anywhere else? I so wanted to ask them, do they also give Chole and Bhature separately as well?
And then, other than the 18 % GST Tax, there was Service Charge included in it. On asking, the manager again said that GST is the government tax, and the service tax is our personal tax, which has been mentioned in our menu also.

You guys need to update yourself seriously! Adding any other taxes is ILLEGAL. When I objected, the other people supported as well, and then the manager made another bill for me and removed Service Tax from that. But it should not have been done in first place... Really irresponsible behaviour of the management.

Nice ambience....try chole bhature and puri bhaji here...and never order jaljeera.....its too bad all other things are so cool..............

If you want to have good street food served on nice plates with AC environment then Legacy of Bombay is the place. Quite tasty and pocket friendly.
Some dishes do taste differently when you taste same in other parts of the country like chholey bhature etc but you can't help it out as it is named after bombay and bombay taste will come.
I specially love samosa chat, aloo puri, pizza, lemon soda etc.
It's nice experience and good to be with friends and family once in a while
Aashvi Suri
Great place for a Family Dinner. Nice ambiance and very friendly staff. You dictate your taste and liking and they suggest dishes that will suit it very correctly.
Though the Dal Makhani lacked the north flavor, Sabzi Dilruba and paneer tikka masala suited our north indian taste buds.
Ashir Parikh
Ambience - 4.5/5
Service - 2.5/5
Food quality - 5/5
Food taste - 5/5

Must try: aloo cheese phudina paratha

Dal makhani here is unbeatable. So good.

Vijaya Nayak
Judging the place by the basic drink served (fresh lime soda) and it was extremely good.
Pleasing ambience.
Above average food. Less oily good taste.
Good service.
Manan Shah
Nice place. Easily accessible. Good service. Good food. Jain options also available. Had Idli, Gulab jamun. Both were little cold.but they promptly changed and served hot.
Ishan Abhisheki
Legacy of Bombay is on of the best vegeterian restaurants in Goa. In a state where people mostly est fish and meat from tourists to local, finding good vegetarian food was always a problem. But this restaurant has a good variety of vegeteriam menu with a new uodated menu. When here next time plz try the Paneer Kulcha and Paneer paratha. Looking forward to visiting soon.
Chirag Buch
Excellent vegetarian fare. We had South Indian snacks like Dosas, wada and Pav Bhaji and they were delicious. Service was prompt and very polite.
Go for it.
Vishwajeet Chavan
On our last day of goa trip we visited legacy of bombay-fidalgo and were not disappointed at all . But as a student i should say that it is quite expensive but worth it . We were 6 people and we ordered 6 cheese pav bhaji and some milkshakes .pav bhaji was good but milkshakes was regret .
Urmi Chodankar
I am not a fan of vegetarian food but decided to give this place a try for a bunch of friends. It offers a wide range of veg food from Indian to continental. I loved their pav bhaji and chhole kulcha. Other items were good too. Highly recommended for vegetarians! !
Supraja
This place has good ambiance and service. The pav bhaji taste was amazing . The paneer peas masala was not up to mark . But really good place for chat and juices. Price was reasonable for the quality .
Sneha
ambiance is good of this place. the seating is nice.
took the following

1. chai - usual
2. bread butter tasted ok
3. Toast butter tasted ok
4. masala chaas
Tanvi Kumbhojkar
We randomly selected this place on 18th June road after tiring beach visits.
Ambience is good , service is great. We ordered manchow soup it was perfectly warm and spicy , crispy thredded paneer was really good , maincourse was not at all up to the mark, very oily and bland.
I would say all in all a good option just ask them to make the gravies less oily and more spicy.
Mahendra Mishra
The service is slow as common resources shared with Bhojan etc. Food is average. Some items not available always. Flies (makkhhi) moving around dining table. Expensive. Ambiance is good and restaurant comes in main market locality.
Raj Agarwal
My first review at Zomato and I'm happy to start with a positive one. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant and a spacious one. We as a family of 4 ordered Mushroom Pasta, Bhel puri, Manchow soup, Chhole Bhature,. Fried rice, cold coffee and a sundae. Excellent quality and service. Best thing I liked is the variety of food one can order. Why not 5 then...well a point deducted for a not so good ice cream experience which had ice crystals in it and I just love ice creams. Overall would definitely like to go again.
Aditya Desai
Just oh wow...what ab ambience.!!! And to good quality food. I liked it, in fact we liked it. My family liked the food like, we visited twice during our stay and it was so good to have food here. Quality and taste to your buds is perfect. Ambience in which you eat also affects the dining. And here you will find it.
Rishabh Jain
Good place to eat only if u r out of options
Expectations from this place were really high as it's a part of such a good hotel but my experience was as below:

1) ok ok food. Any roadside thela can serve better food in Mumbai
2) v slow service
3) musquito inside
4) too expensive
5) half the menu is unavailable at most of the times

Try to avoid but can be a recourse in case u don't have any option
Sumukh Kalra
I was on a 3 day trip to goa and decided to visit legacy on a friend's advice.one of my worst decisions ever
We ordered both indian and continental dishes.the indian dishes were served within 10 mins while we waited for the continental ones for more than an hour.on enquiring the server told us that the dish was being "put in the oven",around an hour into the waiting period.we cancelled the dishes, obviously.poor ,poor service.i do not care what quality of food they serve if that is the kind of service they offer.
Its a shame one of my meals out of a 3 day trip had to be here.
Bhukkad_Bear
Recetly been relocated..Good place for tea amd snacks but wouldnt recomment it for a veg dinner..
Based on quite a few experiences, they take a lot of time to serve..Its over priced for no good reason...Ambience is good but nothing overwhelmingly special..Crispy threaded paneer used to be my favourites..But it dosent taste the same any more..
Pav bhaji,Samosa chat, lassi are things u could try out over here!!
Rahul Surana
Chat items are too good...even the lassi like mango man.. Mouth watering and quantity is twice the usual ones...... Really loved the place in all ways
Anupam Gulati
Good food though service could be a little more swift
I often visit the place for their snacks misal pao / pao bhaji etc are nice to munch... On the whole food steals it but not for the service though... Very nice ambience best is all restaurants are interconnected
Jitendra Jain
A good place.. Can be little.more tidy..for food nice pakoda kadi, lacha paratha and chana pindi and malai kofta....
Only sad was fry masala papad...!!!
Saurabh
Having missed their lunch time we had to settle for snacks, all of which were great. Be it the pav bhaji, pizza, sandwich, dosa, shakes & falooda, all were decent and well presented. A good and famous vegetarian restaurant with prompt service and reasonable price.
Ativ Vasudev
The issue with Legacy of Bombay or for that matter any Fidalgo restaurant is that the service is really poor. When you walk in to the restaurant of a 4 Star Hotel you expect the service of that level. But the overall experience has been repeatedly poor.

The quality of food is also average. You can get far better food at places like Navtara or Kamat.

Located in the heart of Panaji city, a must avoid place for those considering it as an option.
Ravi Intodia
Walked into this nice and bright looking fine dine veg restaurant on a Saturday night .. it was quiet full .. ordered food which was served before they got us some water which we have been asking for since we sat down ..
Food was good apart from oil soaked "crispy threaded paneer" which looked more of a chef's experimental stuff ..
Nobody bothered for refilling water, giving tissue paper and not even giving bill or taking payment .. then realized 4 staff members were busy serving custom delicacies to one of the senior staff member during peak hours and leaving few of other customers un-attended like us ..
I have been to Fidalgo 24 hour coffee shop before and that's amazing experience compared to this ..
Gaur
After quite a while we enjoyed a nice Mumbaiya kinda treat. Butteriness in the Pav bhaji with a tinch of lemon juice and green chillies gave us drool. 😋 To also enjoy some of our favourite Punjabi snacks, we ordered Chhole bhature. It definitely lived up to our expectations, making us feel nostalgic about Delhi street food. For an appetiser, do try their cream of spinach soup...yummm and sure to get you all set for a great meal thereafter.
It's not just the food, its also the service that adds a nice flavour to your meal. And we found the people to be humble and helping.
Quick service, happy faces, great taste.
Thumbs up from us for this peppy place & its street food. Hope to be there again soon 👉
Shikha Malhotra Taneja
Just had idli and pav bhaji here for snacks. Average food nothing to talk about. In fact idli was cold and not fresh. Pav bhaji tasted normal but not comparable to the ones we get in Mumbai. Overall a very average place.
Barathi Krishnamurthy
Though it in the Fidalgo chains, unlike Bhojan this was a bad experience. We waited for 20 minutes for water to be served to us. The person taking the order delayed futher. The lasagna was delicious but less in quantity. Overall an okayish experience.
Rupesh Pawar
Pure veg restuarent with variety of dishesh. They have all street food of mumbai as well as main dishesh. Ambinece is very good. Service is fast. Food is also good. Worth trying at least once. We tried fast food and mocktails.
Abhishek Jalan
Good place
Goood food
Gooood staff
Goooood service
This is quite similar to all the restaurants in bombay
Which serve dal khichdi pav bhaji etc etc
Aparna Bichu
The best quality of variety of vegetarian dishes that you could find in Panaji. If you are fasting must try sabudana wada. We also liked the penne pasta in white sauce . Very clean and very soothing ambience to have a great start for the day
Prathna Shah
This fast food eatery is a place you'd want to go to grab a quick bite, it's almost out of place in Goa with regards to its true to Bombay taste and the promptness of service! The seating is a little too close and the ambience is nothing out of the usual but again, I don't even consider these things cause it's really like a typical Bombay style fast food joint, so what do you expect!
Anushka Sachdeva
Had dinner at this place with high expectations and the place didn't disappoint at all. I ordered a lot of things and all of them were quite tasty.
One of the best place in Goa to hunt down tasty vegetarian food with a lot of options.
The service staff was very polite and humble. Also the place was pocket friendly.

Must try their spring rolls, cheese masala dosa, Kashmiri soda, reshmi paneer tikka.

Overall a good place for vegetarians to dine in.
Aishwarya Kurade
They've redesigned the place to give it a more fine dining ambience which wasn't needed but I don't know whether they have increased their prices as well. Great option for South Indian or Indian street food, have their pav bhajis or chaats, especially samosa chaat and if you're ordering coffee specify whether you want filter coffee or Nescafe (I prefer the former, less milky) but I'm not a fan of their coffee because it isn't strong enough.
Shannen Fortes
Just another fancy take on Indian street food to me.
Decent interior. Priced decently but wouldn't it just be better to have this from the heart of the streets ?
PSP
This place is located right in the heart of panjim city. A decent place which serves indian snacks.. Average food, nothing special.
Food: 3
Ambience: 4
Price: 3.5
Christopher Charles
This is a very neat and clean vegetarian place with a neat and clean two page menu focused on snacks and a bit heavier stuff too! They have a range of nice Parathe choices and Bhature/Poori choices too! Try the Aloo Bhaijia Pav or the Tandoori Paneer Tikka!
Good drop in light food place with reasonable prices!
Isha Jajodia
They have shifted there restaurant twice in last two years which became the reason of my irritation on my last visit. The service was extremely poor due to the shifting of their kitchen. Place sounded like a fish market, and food dint turn out to be too good.
Yet I would not like to disregard my previous experinces which were very pleasant. Being a vegiie this place has always been my first choice in Panaji. their north indian - naan, dal makhni, paneer kulcha is mind blowing. Paneer tikka Pizza, Choupsey, Hakka, Pav Bhaji, Chaat, Pasta - Almost everything on the menu tastes great. And I love the masala daal khichdi.
South indian is not that good though.
Despite my not so good experience on my last visit, I know I will keep going here, as the taste of the food here really appeals to my palate. Also an ideal family hang out place.

I'm a hardcore carnivore, but I can still vouch for this place as serving one of the best vegetarian food. It's widespread menu gives each and every one a treat to their taste buds.
Titillating experience out here always. The chaat, paneer makanwala and paper dosa are my favourites out here. Nice ambience and decent decor. Staff is well trained and courteous. I'd definitely pay a visit here especially during the lent period where I succumb to vegetarian food.

Everytime the extended family decides to meet up for lunch or dinner in Panjim, somehow we land up at the Legacy of Bombay. It's not that Panjim falls short on good vegetarian restaurants. It's just that Fidalgo has struck the right chord with us over the years.

The ambience and decor is pretty nice with pictures of good old Bombay adorning it's walls, reminding me of the famous landmarks that my city is known for. The food isn't predominantly Maharashtrian as one would imagine, but Infact a mixture of all cuisines, just like Bombay - the melting pot of all cultures!

Whether it's Desi Chinese or South Indian or Chaat or Soups, everyone's happy with what they have here. I was recommended the Crispy Thread Paneer by my little Goan cousin who loves this particular dish. The older crowd love the Veg clear soup and the dosas. The one who was fasting loved the sabudana wada and other farali items too. And I have enjoyed all the above over a period of time. Not to forget, the vegetables, Garlic Naan, rotis, rice and Dals have all been up to the mark.

May this legacy live long!

Good South Indian and street food place in Panjim. Good location but difficult to find parking during wee hours of the day. This place serves a variety of dosas, uttapams and all other South Indian snacks and breakfast. They also serve chaats, pizzas and sandwiches. They have a huge menu for Indian and Chinese cuisine. The service is good and prompt. Food taste is good. The quantity is absolutely satisfying. My favourite here is the Szechuan dosa, Lal Mirch uttapam and paper dosa. Their Mumbai pav bhaji is delicious too.

This restaurant is situated on the 18th June road and is part of hotel Fidalgo. I call this place a fine dining pure veg restaurant. The restaurant has a very good ambience and the service is quite good (excuse them for the occasional mistake). Like on my last visit, they brought me initially paneer green chilly uttapam and got it later changed to cheese Lal mirch uttapam as soon as I reminded the server about my order. The food over there is great. My favourites at this restaurant are cheese Pav Bhaji, paper dosa, cheese Lal mirch uttapam and paneer makhni with naan. This place has never disappointed for their food (Fingers Crossed Though!!). One visit to this place for either lunch or dinner, will make you for sure come back again for more.

This place has the best food that I've tasted in Goa. It is a Vegetarian restaurant. Try anything here, you'll never be disappointed. I've tried almost everything here. From chat to Chinese to Pizzas to Sabundana vadas- each dish was simply amazing. I would highly recommend this place for all. Their Farmhouse Pizza was my personal favorite. I definitely look forward to visiting this place once again on my next trip to Goa.

Its very hard to find good Pau Bhaji in a place like Goa, but legacy of Bombay will not disappoint you at all. A good place to have vegetarian snacks in Goa. Some times a bit crowded which makes their service really slow

another restaurant part of hotel Fidalgo.I had breakfast and dinner while I was in Panaji for a day.The overall opinion is that the food is good...some items are excellent and some can be improved upon.Pav bhaji is a must try and feels like the Mumbai version with soft buttered buns and lovely bhaji with lemon n onion salad.Tomato soup was laso very well made with the right ingredients..the winner was the anardana aloo parantha with raita and dal makhni that stole the show.very nice paranthas and to my surprise fresh anardana in it completely changed the taste and a very nice shot by the chef. The Kulfi was also fine but can be worked upon.I repeated the Pav Bhaji again next evening but also ordered the veg pizza farm house which was nice and crispy and we enjoyed it.

The Masala Dosa I would say was average and not so much out of the world and the batata Bhaji Pav put me off.The batata bhaji was not of very good taste and it looked like water had been added to the potato filling of the masala dosa and served with pavs and onion salad. The chai was though nice enough.
overall its a nice place for vegetarian food for north indians in Panaji and it is a must try.Last but not the least i fthey can prop up their service a bit then its a standout.
