Review Escapade - Bardez

Place gives you a sense of upbeat restaurant. The ambience and view of sea is absolute stunner. Food and booz is good and not priced too high though being a tourist hot spot. DJ Nigel plays Fantanstic Music to make your evening either rocking or romantic whatever be your choice... Certainly a good place to be with family or friends.

A very prominent restaurant right on the entry of Calangute beach. Large area & very good ambience ! The elevated deck gives excellent view of the beach & the sea. Very good seating arrangements & clean wash rooms. An amazing place to enjoy a beautiful evening and sunset amidst the sea . The food quality & services are good ! Prices are bit high but acceptable for the comfort & ambience that you get.... The drinks are reasonably price. One can also enjoy Hookah here ! They accept most of the Credit/Debit Cards. A must visit place if you want to chill & enjoy a laid - back evening in Calangute beach area !!

The food is very good and the portions are reasonable. My kids, 16 & 19, said that the music mixes were easily the worst they have ever heard but they made up by playing it to loud. The service was very helpful
ritvik budhiraja
Lovely ambience... Food was good but overpriced... Amazing view of the calangute beach... A bit late service but the view overlaps the cons! One thing, music too loud for a normal conversation
Swagat Sengupta
Very good location. Great breakfast buffet. Just little understaffed but they try to do their best. Sometime music is just too loud for a breakfast.
Manish Chauhan
Mind blowing beach to have fun with family and friends. Here you will get varities of water sports individually or in a package at good cost.
Ziya
Amazing location, right next to the beach.Food is too Good, but lil expensive, loved the music, service needs improvement.
Axeyked
The place to live if you're booking a hotel in Goa. Great views, great food, great staff, bed's were too soft for my comfort - that's the only negative about this place.
Geetesh
Felt little over priced for my budget.. But wonderful place..
Abhay Phansekar
Beer bucket with some munches like prawns, fish, chips. They have very good variety of veg food too
Uttam Bansal
A very laid back place with amazing service. Loved the view from the deck.
AroundDelhi Holidays

Escapade is one such place that does not go out of sight when you are in Calangute Goa.
The exuberant space the big pillars in here kind of attracts you.
I felt in love bwith the interior of the place and the live dj who is very interactive . The seating area is comfortable and the place being beach facing property adds up to the charm . Also the candle-lit table makes it even more romantic.
Tried barbecue chicken wings and a pomfret starter in my previous visit.
Loved both dishes and cocktails are also made well.
Looking forward to revisit this place.

Awesome place with awesome and fresh food with the view of beach. Enjoyed every byte with amazing drinks that was served to me. 🥇👌 will definitely recommend others to visit this place. 😊

Very bad service and menu options..we ordered the things and even after an hour there wasn't even an empty plate on our table and after complaining the waiter instead of being sorry threatened us that either wait more or leave.we made a police complaint too to straighten up that waiter so that it doesn't happen further.A pathetic experience 😒

Ambience was good I.e. bang on Calangute beach but food was average.
Pretty expensive and accordingly food don't match the standards.
Staff was courteous.
I was really hungry as soon I reached Goa, I went to d beach & this place seemed better than shacks at that moment.. Breakfast for ₹100 with few options was nice but bit expensive.. Exactly at d Calangute beach with sea view & nice air coming in u r gonna enjoy it.. Eggs, omelette were properly cooked & tasty too.. Might try lunch or dinner on my next visit..

Probably one of the best locations a restaurant can ask for. This place is literally on the beach!

Coming to the food,it was not too good. Had chopsuey and pepper chicken. Quantity was good for two pax.

The alcohol price is pretty decent , so you can get drunk at a really nice location without burning a hole in your pocket. Must visit when in Calangute!

Being a vegetarian, this was not the best decision I made. Keeping aside the quality of food, the service was worst and understaffed. Orders were forgotten, the wait time was a disappointment, the presentation was alright. Overall, I'd suggest, go only if you're a non vegetarian.

One of the best eateries near Calangute ares. Nice ambiance with decent service. Food is as good as u can get anywhere in Goa. Try tandoori chicken there.

I like food. I like eating. And I don't want to deprive myself of good food. Awesomeness of this place is that the restaurant is situated near to the calangute beach. You can eat and mesmerized yourself with the beauty of the the beach at the same time. The food was soo yummy and fresh and the taste was too good. Just loved the food and beverages served there. 😍

Such a huge restaurant located in front of the calangute beach. Dj babu is here awesome. This was the first place in Goa where I want for lunch after my arrival. I loved the music here. I started with traditional goa local daru 'kings'. After that I ordered chicken starter and noodles with chicken gravy. All of them were delicious. If u visiting goa than you just can't miss this place. Must Visit place. On my last day in Goa I had chilly cheese garlic bread, coffee, mix fruit salad and lots of daru. I just loved this place.

Pathetic service... Property wasn't clean at all,,,,very few options you will find if you are going for lunch and dinner,,, breakfast is ok,,, will not gonna visit again.

Its my favourite food joint in calangute. The place is crazy good . The have both indoors and alfresco sitting arranagement. Kitchen has see through glasses. The staff is very attentive and friendly. All there pizzas are a must try which are far more better than dominos or pizza hut. Would definitely recommend this place to all .

Amazing view...rated 3 as they had run out of sea food!! The other items we tried were really good without a doubt but we're disappointed as there was no sea food available. Had masala peanuts which have been the best so far in Goa. Apart from that chicken momos were very good. Had Goan sausage pizza which was prepared on the wood fired oven. It was really good. Thin and crispy with lot of flavour. Really good staff as well as the music. Would have got a higher rating had we been able to get some seafood too :)
It was just a good escape from crowded Calangute. Decent silent place on top of the Calangute beach, it has pretty sea view..
Food absolutely horrible. Badly cooked chilly paneer and n vry tasteless hakka noodles.. In the name of french fries or finger chips they have huge diced potatoes deep fried and horrible in taste. Cheese garlic bread and chilli chicken was good escape from horrible food experience. Weird options of drinks and one which were asked for was not available. Virgin Mojito super sweet to gulp down.
Over all this place is only good to have perfect view from height with nice lounge music thats all and my ratings are only for the view n place its built on.
Excellent location with good food. As we were staying here, in Calangute Residency, this place was obvious for us. We tried buffer breakfast and the spreads were quite good. Although we had breakfast for 4 days, it was not to fully monotonous. Fruits, fruit juice, idli, sambar, live dosa & omelette, bread, butter, jam, cornflakes, milk, tea, coffee, aloo paratha/ Puri sabji, aloo bonda - all were delicious. You can enjoy sea & food together for hours ! Service was decent.
This is a private property although it's situated in the ground floor of Calangute Residency, GTDC tourist Lodge. A bit expensive food and drink !

Apart from a great view and a fair ambiance, there is nothing much to write about this place. Located bang opposite the beach is its only positive point. The service is pathetically slow and the food is below par. Went to this place for breakfast and it took them more than an hour to serve, once the order was placed. The breakfast menu was limited and yet some items were not available. When we complained to the manager about the delay, her reply was rude and unreasonable. The staff there won’t let you use their restroom unless you place an order. All in all, this is not a place I would recommend to anyone.

Just had a watermelon juice... it took ages to come but was good... the view is amazing.. but the market where the hotel is located is too noisy and crowded...

Stayed for 5 days at Calangute Residency and the Breakfast was provided as part of the package.

Location and ambience are excellent. However, the same could not be mentioned for the food here.

Idly was normally hard, Dosa dry, Shabudana Khichidi soggy, Semia lacking salt and Upma lumpy and undercooked.

Paratha was excellent. Poori Bhaji, Pav Bhaji and masala omelet were good.

Service is OK and laid back.

We've always found seating here and I've always gravitated toward the patio. The panoramic view of the sea this place has is certainly a plus for me. The food is well made but not consistently so, some items on the menu are unexpectedly not upto the mark. But the service and ambience have no flaws to mention.

Been to this is place with my best friends on Friday evening – after a friend’s wedding!

Post wedding we came down to Calangute Beach and then after a long walk we decided to have a short break with some drinks and descent food . since calangute beach is frequented by most of the lot and is a crowded place too we have lots of options

But a descent place is again a tough catch !

So finally decided to try our Escapade

Which is right in front of the Calangute Beach ! . once we step in then is that we realize the place is indeed a bang on ! with a perfect seating of white and Blue sofas that indeed add value to the ambiance – old heritage style décor and fans on the roof and huge pillars – give you rich old feel of a bungalow with a sea view ! perfect ambiance I would say .

Then we choose to seat towards the beach view – and then we ordered for few drinks

And then choose to have chicken wings

The service was indeed really polite and the drinks were given on time.

Then we knew that post 8 pm they have a Dj who plays perfect numbers that infact sets up the mood for u

We requested them to play some goan music and they did go by our request n played good numbers for close to 15 minutes(was indeed quite happy and it was an exemplary sign for great service and place which obliges your requests)

They had served the chicken wings and the presentation is perfect.

The chicken wings were indeed yummy and the barbeque sauce added to it was perfect and had the right portion!

Bill was close to 1000 with tax

VFM – 5/5

Ambiance 5/5

Food – 5/5 great taste

Drinks – 5/5 reasonably priced

On the whole will return back for sure.

Excellent ambience and very decent food. Their wood fired pizzas are very decent. We liked the black and green olives and tomato pizza. The vegetables in Salt and Pepper is fried but yummy. The view of the beach is outstanding. The sea breeze is great as well.
Superb view of the Calangute beach and the awesome waves ... You can actually watch the sea and enjoy the breeze without the scorching sun. First time to Goa, so was damn excited. Had a chance to have their breakfast buffet that they offered.

Comfortable sofa seating - watching the sea.

Pricey for the menu they offered is the one word to describe. ( ₹ 300 )

Menu:
Idlis( vch was pretty empty) ,sambar - good, green chutney(nly green they know I think) ...
Bread(toasted was good),butter(scarce),jam
Masala dosa - was very bad, stuffing was bad.
Parathas with curd - good ( nly curd vch was little sour ).
Uttampams( vch were not at all available in time )- pretty good
Corn flakes with milk
Semiya upma - pretty bad
Juice- kirni - too much ice.
Coffee ( pretty ok)

No desserts...

Overall experience was good.

Could make good use of the place as it s sea facing and decent seating.
Location and decor steals the show. It's located near calangute residency overlooking the high waves of the sea. I just came here for the freshly baked dark chocolate waffles and the aglio olio pasta. Yes it's a good place to dine overall.

This place gives the perfect Beach-side feels. I went there twice just to have the same dish - The Mediterranean Vegetable Submarine. The bread they used was out of the world - whole wheat. The Submarine was loaded with Zucchini, Bell Peppers, lettuce, cheese.
My friends ordered a couple of the North Indian dishes, which was equally amazing - great texture and taste.
The cherry on top really was what we ordered for dessert - The dark chocolate Waffles. By far one of the best waffles I've tasted. The dark chocolate ganache sauce served by the side was perfect to my taste. Not too sweet, and a little cold.
This place is bookmarked, and would definitely be on my to-do list for my next trip to Goa.
Downside - We went during February, and since it was an open space, it was rather hot for our liking.

To start off, I want to say the rating should be on negative as this place doesn't live up to anything. Good points are the location and interiors. But these people have done nothing with it. It always has only one or two tables occupied every time we passed it. I thought of checking it out looking at the reviews. When we entered, we were told that if you want to eat starters you can sit at the tables over looking the ocean and for main course you will have to sit inside. This is so stupid, why would I want to change locations during a meal. Secondly, when we sat at the table, it took the waiter forever to get the menu. Considering there was only one other table to attend to, I don't see why it was so difficult. Thirdly, the seats were not cleaned as there was same on them. When the waiter enquired about the food for another table, they kept complaining. Still after this, the waiter didn't come to our table. By this time, I was irritated and decided to walk out and these idiots came to us saying we can't use the washroom if we don't find here. They didn't even bother asking why we were leaving and are accusatory and rude. The prices are expensive, which I don't understand, considering nothing justifies it.

Before reviewing for the food i must admit few better place have i been where the scenery baffles us
Food well everything is perfect in taste
Yes quantity is less than usual so might think about that omce before ordering

First trip to Goa, After some fun in the water headed up here for lunch.

Open cafe environment, sea facing with beautiful decor.

Being a Sunday , it was almost filled. That raised expectations a little. Once we were seated, our hostess was prompt to get us the menu & water of our choice.

The slight toasty breeze of the sea made us more hungry

Ordered Tomato & basil soup, Apple & feta cheese salad , Cajun Cottage cheese with exotic veggies, Chocolate fondant cake.

After 10 minutes my soup came & it was absolutely delicious. The perfect hint of basil which was not overpowering the tomato soup The baguette went perfectly with the soup .

Once I was done with my soup after sometime my salad came & it looked perfect .

When I dived into it with my fork ,I was pleasantly surprised. The slices of green apple with ,feta cheese, lettuce & pecan was in perfect harmony. I thoroughly enjoyed the salad.

Finally after some time my main course came. It looked so beautiful that I didn't want to eat it. Anyways the perfect seasoning on top of the cottage cheese with the vodka hinted sauce on the side was absolutely divine. The exotic veggies perfect complimented the dish.

Chocolate fondant cake - It was amazing , with the hint of some spirit ,i guess rum . Loooved it.

Had a lovely experience but I think the service can slightly be improved to manage the rush.

Ambience -4/5

Food-4 /5

Service-3/5

VFM-3/5

P.S- The photos are bit blurred as they are zoomed in from the food collage photo from my Instagram

Location and ambience steal the show - just overlooking the high waves at calungute beach, nice and comfortable sitting arrangement.

Food was great too. A little over-priced i think.
Pizzas - good
Arabbiata pasta - good
Aglio olio pasta -excellent

Staff - very polite and helpful.
It rained heavily when we were there and they moved us to a table under the shade and let us sit until the rains stopped. It was nice to see jolly welcoming gestures by them.

A good place to be on a date i think... And of course, you can go in a group... Sit and enjoy the beach and the food together.

Nice place especially the location ... It's right on calangute beach and a breathtaking view... A tad expensive compared to others nearby but still worth the money

Da lovely restaurant near beach with the lovely foods. I was in calangute residency for three nights n just overwhelmed by the service. Further I liked to xtend my date but couldn't for the pre planned schedule towsrds south. Calangute residency is just surrounded by good charms like beach facing rooms with the restaurant ESCAPADE. They told us while serving that we are the lucky couples n all we ordered were being cooked by Asia's top chef.
The dish includes crab salad, the red salamin fish and mixed noodles. It was just yum n even I felt soo lucky to give my valuable feedback to the chef. It was wonderful to visit a beach n taste the warmth of sea foods.

Had been to this place for Lunch..the location and ambience is fantastic...even the food is amazing..really loved the food..the only thing shocked us was the bill..we knew this place was expensive but when the bill came the amount of taxes they charged were exorbitant...almost 30%, which is quite high.
I have been to most of the fine dining restaurants in Goa but everywhere taxes are included in the menu rates.
Bottom line is if you want to spend a nice time with a great view of Calangute beach with good food then go for it regardless the 30% taxes which they charge on the bill.

Beautiful decor
Aptly located, on the beach
Decent food
Not well trained but willing to help staff
Liked the place...
Food was the weakest part here, the chicken momos were a lil dry, aglio oglio pasta was doable and extremely good chocolate dessert...worth giving a try once...

Awesome restaurant on the beach. Location is so good that you can't miss it. Ocean view from the restaurant is gorgeous. Ambience is fantastic. Food is just great. Everything is just wonderful. The only reason I have given 4.5 instead of 5 is that the prices are high & they weren't accepting cards. It's a must visit place for anyone visiting Calangute
Ankit Sondhi
Very good food. I have been here twice despite the prices being on the higher size we werent disappointed by their food quality and portioning. Their taste is very authentic. It has probably one of the best interiors in Goa.

We visited this place for lunch ..we were in the area and it was really warm outside so this looked like an inviting place with its premium look. They had some nice offers so we walked in. The place is very nicely done up. Good service too. It was very relaxing to sit and enjoy a chilled beer by the seaside. We tried the pizza and a pomfret here and both were excellent. We also tried the nutella waffles which were superb. I would say prices are High but worth it. And this must be fantastic in the evenings.

Awesome place to sit, relax and chill!!! Especially after the harrowing experience of shacks in calungate...
Feel the fresh sea breeze brush against your face and enjoy a chilled beer!!!?
Crispy fried pomfret and yam sea food salad are absolutely a must eat here...
The cost is a bit on the higher side but then the same is true for shacks in calungate beach too...
