Review Bakery Pausenbrot - Benaulim

The young girl at the counter is an absolute delight and she makes your experience at this cute Bistro a memorable one The only aspect of this place that was bad was the swarm of mosquitoes that ruined my perfect cold coffee experience I ordered a cold coffee and a fresh lime juice. Both were value for money. Next time will go back and order the desserts and sandwiches. Ample parking available and its right on the main road. They do bake sourdough also.

A charming little bakery near Benaulim offering a delightful selection of food and beverages. They have the option to dine-in or takeaway. The standout item has to be their delectable cinnamon rolls (I'm yet to try the sandwiches). The coffee is quite decent, especially considering the price. And, not to forget, the staff was amazing!

It's a such a nice bakery with delicious German specialties and especially bread. It's all made with love by a very special person. If you are in goa you should come for a nice coffee.

Good place, good bread. Packaging for take out could improve especially for rainy season. Really loved mango roll, white chocolate tart šŸ‘Œ Americano was a bit weak for me. I agree on paper being best for bakery items and also for environmental reasons but carrying 3 items back to car while it was raining was difficult and still got wet. A larger paper bag would have been helpful. Or paper boxes can also work.

A must try!! It is a beautiful place that will stay under the radar if you don't see it or search for it manually. Good sandwiches, good coffee, and AMAZING bakery products. 1 less star for some pricey products with a small portion size (according to my personal preference). Ambiance is very nostalgic, and service is equally elegant. Kudos to the team!

The Strawberry Cheesecake was out of the world. The crust was crumbly yet soft, just the way I love it. Definitely going there again the next time I am in South Goa. Recommend +++

I must say, it's a must place to visit. Where you have peace of mind and a great ambiance. Loved the welcoming smile on Andrea's face and the simplicity. Andrea I really enjoyed the cinnamon rolls and the sandwiches and ofcourse the coffee. My mum who's very choosy also loved it. Would love to visit again. Thank you.

Best freshest bread in Goa, quiet place, super cute service and very professional Andrea. Even if you didnā€™t try yet you can see ā€˜this is a real thingā€™. Clean ovens with crispy just baked bread. Love their lemon tart but it disappears so fast it's impossible to take a photo)) Waiting for real coffee machine!

Great filter coffee, best sourdough bread. Very cute little cafe, simple food but all so tasty. I was pleased the cafe offers moringa tea. It is the perfect breakfast spot for sandwiches and cakes.

I went to this place in 2021 when it was just a small cafe with photos hanging of a school in Rajasthan and a picture of Andrea in her childhood, I got totally hooked by this place and obviously their breads. We took a bakery session with Andrea and Aditya and oh god it was delightful l, the way it was all taught and hands on experience on sourdough and other bakery items, it was really cool. And in the last of our sessions they gave us a savoury neckless which everyone loved and laughed about.

Really good tasty delights! Cinnamon roll is a must try, french press coffee was really good. The area to sit is not that big but can occupy around 10 people or so. Some may find the rates a bit pricey but it's worth a try. Overall good service and friendly staff, good experience.

Heard of this German bakery in Benaulim that bakes fresh sourdough, baguettes and cinnamon rolls? Bakery Pausenbrot is named after the German word for sourdough sandwiches called ā€˜Pausenbrotā€™ that mothers make for their kids to take to school every morning. The cafe does have little elements of that theme running through - with the menu designed like a school notebook, names of sandwiches named after school-characters (like last bencher and first bencher) being served in tiffin boxes. They have great coffee and do a decent cheesecake and other sweet bakes.

Simply amazing. We came in for a late breakfast. The food was delicious especially the sourdough bread. The sourdough is the cherry on the cake. The bread is freshly made with traditional method. The owner Andrea was very kind to explain us the process. Even the coffee was good which is hand made and not machine made. The staff is very courteous and soft spoken. Thank you all for the lovely food.

Traditional German bred - a must for everybody who likes real good bred! They also have great home made cakes and drinks but true bred lovers just order a slide with butter and salt. That's all you need šŸ™‚

I was looking to send some sweets and savouries for my friend who is staying in Goa when I came across this bakery online . I contacted Andrea and she was prompt in responding. I ordered cinnamon rolls, apple crumble tarts, Rafaello muffin with almond and coconut, beef mince stuffed buns and Teacher's sandwich. The service I received was exceptionally great. Andrea was kind enough to personally drop it off at my friend's place who lives 1 km away from the bakery. My friend was not aware about the Bakery and was surprised that it was closeby. Every food item was fresh and delicious! Highly recommended this bakery. I will definitely visit the bakery on my next trip to Goa!

Even their baked sweets: cheesecake banana bread and actually anything taste amazing. Definitely a must if youā€™re in south goa.
