Review B Cafe - Bengaluru

smrity sinha
ᴀᴍʙɪᴇɴᴄᴇ: peaceful and pleasant inside as well as outside sᴇᴀᴛɪɴɢs: 2, 4, 12 with sofa styled chairs sᴛᴀғғ: Attentive, polite, friendly. ғᴏᴏᴅ : i was the only vegetarian in my family and i felt that as per my liking the vegetarian section was less ranged compared to sea food and meat. The desserts section was the best for me. I also found the food like white pasta as one of the examples to be bland, it wasn't well seasoned. Overall, for the first time it was an Okayish experience.

Had been here with family for Buffet. The food varieties were amazing from salad, Sushi, cheese, starters/appetizers, main course, desserts, drinks and more. Good varieties of sea food dishes as well.. They serve varieties of cusines. Definetly coming back. Good place for kids as well as they hav play area for the kids.
Anantha Narayanan
Amazing variety of food offered on buffet - continental, asian, chinese, indian, etc. Desserts were also yummy and satisfying.
Bibhuti Bhusan
Very good ambiance but low quantity food, fish items are not good. Drinks are available good for staying.

The best spread I’ve seen for a buffet. It was a marvellous arrangement. The food , the service , the hospitality everything was a notch above. The upstairs seating was closed thanks to rain. But would have been nice to seat outside in Bangalore weather. Everything that you can expect was better. And the best thing I ever saw was the kids area. So very thoughtful for parents with kids. It was a Great idea. Keep it up.

It's the cafe used for the breakfast by the hotel. Good place to chill but the lobby is much better. The breakfast is as good as it gets in a 5 star. They have a lot of options with fresh food. The sunday brunch is great as well. They also have some entertainment for kids

The lunch buffet spread is huge with reasonable taste. It has a very good combination of Indian, Oriental, continental dishes. The salads and desserts are great. We loved the sushi as well. The place has a nice ambience and is spread across a wide area with ample seating. Overall highly recommended for friends and family get togethers as well as office outings.

If you are looking for some scrumptious food then bCafé is the place! Extraordinary spread including Chinese, continental, Indian, Sushi, live counter and varieties of dessert. Food is extremely good, staff are friendly. The restaurant has a good ambience and has dedicated space for kids which includes a play area with a small screen and bicycles for the kids to enjoy. Very nice place to hang out with your family and friends.

Food is amazing, but a little bit expensive.
Karun Chandy
I highly recommend B Café which is located at the lobby level of the Shangri-La . They have a lavish, well spread out lunch buffet which covers Indian, Italian, Asian and Continental. They also serve some of the most delicious desserts I have had at a buffet! Friendly staff, great ambience delicious food.

If you are looking for a place to hog some authentic delicacies don’t hesitate to visit Shangri- La for their midnight buffets
Varun Kalro
The best place to grab a breakfast buffet at a star hotel for a reasonable price. It makes you want to go back frequently due to the impressive taste and service offered.

We visited B Cafe over the weekend for a Sunday Brunch and also to celebrate our son’s first year birthday with guests of 25 people..
We had a lot of other places in mind but narrowed it down to this place after we met the courteous staff and the wide spread of buffet..! Must mention they have a children’s play area set up on sundays which makes it even better for a family with kids to go hang out at this place..
Coming to the details -
There’s a wide spread of buffet to choose from and variety of cuisines. Food was to the mark. Not to forget, people with a sweet tooth have too many options to choose from and can literally just fill your stomach to glory.
A special call out to the staff who were very courteous and obliged to every specific details provided by us to celebrate our boy’s first birthday. Mr. Gaurav Tyagi was of great help from the start till the end and also the service from the boys was great.. We also had them helping us out in blowing balloons to decorate the seating area assigned to us.
I would specifically like to call out the pastry chef - Mr. Naveen Prasad Shetty for his incredible artistically done cake for the birthday boy. The details given to him were carefully noted down and the cake was done exactly how we wished for!
Choosing this place for the celebration made it all worth it with a great support from the wonderful staff!!
Thank you..

We as a family were thrilled with the lunch experience at B cafe . The spread was wonderful, an opportunity for everyone to relish food of their choice. Being Conniseurs of great meat, the offerings were a treat, a special mention about our dear friend chef Prabhakaran, such a gentleman with a great taste for eloquence and fine dinning. He has hosted us a few times in 2019 and his presence has always ensured delightful surprises on our plate. Had requested some pork and he was kind enough to arrange for it even though the 26th Dec did not offer pork.
The perfect ambience , great food, very very polite and courteous staff, a talented and benevolent chef Prbahakaran made our family get together very special at B cafe

Thank you chef, thank you team BCafBCafe

†******†*********

Another great experience at the B cafe, visited the place for their massive Sunday brunch. And boy do the know to spoil you!!!
The staff are extremely friendly and always find way to enrich the brunch experience. Special mention to folks like Prakash, vikas ; very hospitable and courteous staff

I bought special Christmas cake. There was white fungus inside the cake. I had it first day and then experienced severe pain in my stomach. Next day when I checked the cake there was white fungus in the plum cake I bought. Threw the whole cake in the dustbin after that. I liked the Hotel Shangri-la but this cafe served pathetic Christmas cake

Had a horrible experience at b café yesterday.
There were too many incidents in one single night. To begin with, as a coffee shop in a 5 star hotel, they should ideally be having coffee served with options of almond milk or soy milk, but they didn't have as their stocks are not being supplied on time. When we ordered a ginger masala chai and hot chocolate, they said they are out of ginger too!! Really?? Hot chocolate was pre-sweetened and was way too sweet. Then when we ordered Tiramisu, it didn't arrive for 60 mins. When I checked the status, I got to know the order somehow got lost due to communication gap?? What? Then they didn't have ready tiramisu and we had to settle for another ready pastry which tasted horrible. And after all this trouble when I asked for the bill, I was charged for items I didn't order so they had to re-do the bill. Absolute lack of will to serve the customer. The hotel staff had no idea what to do. There was miscommunication. They didn't have basic commodity like "ginger" and they were very very very slow in their service. Never going to b café again and I would suggest no one to go there too!

Great place but not for vegetarians, options for the vegetarians are limited.

Though the ambience and service is great, it lacks the basic knowledge of division of veg and non veg foods.

Some non veg dishes are kept along with veg salads and bread and there's no name to it.
The chefs or helpers in the asian section does not have common sense of using different ladles and dishes for veg and non veg soups.
The guy took the ladle dipped in non veg broth and served me veg broth, almost felt like hitting the guy, didn't even feel like eating after it.

The management should take extra care in this concern and make sure it doesn't happen.

The food was really great. They had a wide range of variety which includes several cuisine.

Nice choice of cuisine and excellent ambiance. Courteous staff who really look after you and loved
the place

Chefs on live counters were really excellent and always helpful with pleasure to meet chef
Prabhakar to full fill our dietary needs.

Brunch buffet was special as name suggests you will get more street food& local Indian food from
many regions of south India along with other regular food on buffet including Oriental and western.

Could not explore dessert much but Basundi and opera pastry was delicious.
Prashant Pathak
Excellent place and tasty food. The services from prakash was excellent.

We come to B cafe post finding all the restaurants on 15th floor closed by 11:15( earlier than mentioned on a Sunday). The staff in B cafe had to be called twice and he left while taking the order in between. The food took forever to come on the table. We reordered chapati’s and they arrived once the Gravies were chill. We were told about non availability of pastry for 12am celebration and we were asked not to celebrate with the pastry we bought as well. Unbelievable for a 5 star place.

Beautiful setup of buffet with great choices of food spread, chef prabhakaran was extremely helpful. Looking forward soon.

Went to this brunch as it came highly recommended as kid friendly. Definitely best brunch for kids. Food was great with a huge variety. Really impressed. However ... service was very slow and we waited 15 minutes at an outdoor table and no one came to help us. Went inside and still no one helped us. Whole brunch had to keep asking for water refills and other things because they didn’t serve our table.
Karthick Bhuvaneshwaran
One of the best buffet, widespread, they have all the cuisine covered including typical local South Indian food. 👌
The staffs were polite and respectful. As expected from the brand the place is very clean and designed.👏

Visited this Restaurant , They have Konkan food fest ongoing. It was very new for me since I have never tasted Konkan food. But this has turned out to be an amazing experience , lots of live counters, lovely ambience, good service and of course great food amazed me. Few dishes to talk about were PRAWN BALCHAO and BIBINCA, I will always cherish these flavours.

Me and my family went in for lunch buffet and we had a excellent 5 star experience. Lot of food options and the host and the staff were well trained .The staff would attend to your requests immediately and with a big smile, 10/10 for the whole staff, 9/10 for food. I would definitely be visiting this place again.

B cafe hosts one of the best buffets in town! The Lobster Buffet is a must try and is worth every bit. I love everything about this buffet. I can’t stop myself from going back there again.

Been here a few days back with my friends. With very less time we had we could place order only for two desserts that is gianduja pastry and chocolate pastry. Both of them were delicious and the price was extremely reasonable which was surprising. The ambiance is obviously beautiful and the staffs were really helpful and kind! Overall had a great experience! Would definitely revisit!

Honestly ambience is overwhelming feel out of the world so much open space one easily move around like butter. Well yes, that ambience raised the expectation on the food taste. Must say it was pretty decent taste, not something will blow your mind. You should try sushi it's was more authentic in taste and texture. You should also try salad options they are a fresh and good variety of veggies and nuts and olives. You should also try pumpkin soup it was just perfect. Every else I found was ok not that great there a huge variety of option to choose from. Barbeque of nonveg and paneer felt disaster don't like it. Biryani and other dishes we're good. Desert section was good but cake items we're not that great it was not even pastries it's was regular cakes which were pathetic I was expecting it to be like pastries. Overs ambiance 10/10, service 9/10, taste 7/10, value for money 7.5/10

Very good spread of Chinese, Med, Indian, Japanese food. Mentioning specific items may be of no use as the buffet items may vary. I enjoyed the spinach soup and the polenta mushroom, hummus pita. Mostly the veggie items. There’s much to try including grilled meats and sushi, dimsums, salads, cheeses. Good for a relaxed meal and for the spread it is value for money.

Service is exceptional as expected of a 5 star hotel. A special thanks to Pradyumna for courteous service and thanks to b café for the yummy complementary cake for our celebration.
Amy
It is considered a star hotel but the all day cafe has no staff. Nobody is there to seat customers or wait tables if you land up there mid morning. The receptionist had to be dug out of the bakery area and she told us (without giving any reason) that we will not be served here and to go to the lounge. All this while I could see people already sitting there and eating. I insisted and somehow was allowed the b cafe sofa area.
The waiter was finally sent and he behaved like he was doing us a favour by getting us food. Looo ng wait for 2 omelets and 2 coffees.
Overall 2/5 for the experience

Food quality 3.5/5
Service2/5
Ambience4.5/5

After our lunch we decided to have some coffee... the cafe is huge and the decor is nice... an not sure if the cappuccino was machine made or hand made but my friend loved it and they had two cups... I had the cold coffee which was exactly how I like and asked for. The service was impeccable. We reached ssafron at 12:30 and we left the cafe at 8:40 PM... we had a wonderful time...
One of the best spread you could come across specially Sunday brunch we enjoyed.

A perfect example of home away from home.

We also tried they are Konkan food specially pomfret curry & bibinca .
MuthuKumar Balasubramanian
One of the best buffet in the city.
Hands down.
Sumptuous selection of different variety of food.
They also ready to go out of the menu.
Tried their Moplah style south india Kerala food specially kerla prawn biriyani.
Over all memorable and remarkable experience..

A very fine buffet spread with Multitude of item to choose from each cuisine and considering the location Buffet on offer definite value for money. Also one of the best Indian local food I have ever had .
Chef Prabha made our experience more special by serving special requested mouth watering dish.

Highly recommend!!!

Been there for a Sunday brunch! Service was slow but friendly! Food was good but not fantastic. Very big selection but only few items are authentic taste, otherwise the management just stay on the side... 5 guys from management was there a d when we asked about some help to get faster services on refill alcool... No one from the management came to to the table... However they was 5 guys... So, conclusion, in my Sunday brunch experience (7 years) I will not refer that place. Too much a lag on top level.

Went to the place with great expectations but was highly disappointed . First of all the service is too slow. If u order something they ll come after 20-25 minutes. We were sitting in the outer area where there were hell lots of mosquitoes . Had worst experience .
ChoLena Nashan
Went with great expectation but kinda disappointed . The ambience was good . The place was spacious but the service was really slow. Nobody clears the plates. We had to clear it ourselves , which is not acceptable in a star hotel restaurant . You ask something and it comes 15 mins later .

As for the food, loved the dal and vegetable dish. Papad was damn cold n hard. As if left there for too long. Mutton biryani was nice.
In the starter mutton was nice. Starter Fish had weird smell.
As for the desserts, some were way too sweet. They served some drinks on the table. Too sweet to handle. Felt bad to waste food like that but no choice. Freshly cut mangoes were sour.

Will not return.

Luxury is at its Best at Shangri-la Bengaluru.. b Cafe is a Nice Family Restaurant, there is a Kids Play Zone, which keeps kids occupied when parents can sit back & enjoy the Delicious Food & Mesmerising Ambience. Customer Service is also at its Best in this Hotel. I had been on occasion of my Wedding Anniversary and really had a very Good Time with Family. They have a Huge spread.. The buffet consists of Indian, Italian, Thai & Chinese.. They have Live counters for BBQ Grill, Yummy Pasta & Tandoor .. Dessert Counter is even more interesting with wide varieties of Candies, Ice Creams, Pastries, Cut Fruits.. Over All We had a Mesmerising Time at "b Cafe Bengaluru"

B cafe never fails us as a family with an almost 3 year old girl. During weekdays theres always a little play area i side for her to enjoy herself safely while us adults are having a delicious meal, their dinner buffet never disappoints.
Our favorite though is the Sunday brunch, its perfect for families with little children, and the food is always on point!
I might only add that maybe they would like to add a few items that kids would enjoy to eat as well.
This is maybe our 4th time here and we will not stop coming for sure!

This happened to be a place that I stumbled upon while going through Zomato's Collection of Late Night Restaurants and ended up dining at today (1 am on Saturday).

The spread was a bit limited but they had sufficient items on the counters to put together a multi-cuisine buffet encompassing all types of flavors.

There was papdi chaat, fruit chaat, chicken salad, veg curry, chilli garlic fried rice, wok tossed veg noodles, pav bhaji (with onions), kathi rolls (paneer and chicken), grilled fish in lemon butter sauce (outstanding), black bean tenderloin (gravy was delectable), chicken curry, mutton biryani, dal makhani, paneer masala and steamed rice.

Dessert items were mango cake (which was divine), strawberry petite, pineapple cake and of course various flavors of ice cream (mango and rose petal were fantastic; other flavors included choco, coffee, green tea).

Service was polite and hospitable.

Overall, it was a good experience.

Food - 4/5. Service - 4/5.

Awesome spread buffet with lots of choices Indian and International, ambience is awesome especially in raining time outside of cafe is awesome to seat , Occasion of Ramdan restaurant is decorated nicely with tasty ramdan foods , special thanks to server Priyanshu for excellent services and suggested us to taste haleem which I never tasted that was nice.
Excellent experience

Let me tell you both pros and cons
Pros:
Ambience waa relaxing and mysting.
Outdoor sitting with hukka is absolute delight
Except some food in Italian and south indian others were utter flop.
Large variety of desserts like 20 to 30
Cons:
Service is not that great ..if we ask for water it will come after 20 mins..
No more chicken variety's
Food was ridiculous except very few
Worst experience in shangri-la in-house restaurant.
Went with more expectations but was disappointed..
Recommended menu: starters(2-3) in south Indian counter which was not named, pasta, tacos.
Go for hukka which in outside sitting is classic to the ambience.
We were 4 members for lunch buffet and priced somewhere around 6.5k inclusive tax not even worth half the money and finally hukka was satisfying..
Need a hell lot of improvement

Hey folks wanna try something different, this is a must try for desert lovers red velvet oreo cheese cake it is made out of perfection in every bite you take

The spread is amazing. Great selection of food. Great variety. Nice ambiance. It has outdoor seating too. Loved the Smoked Salmon and the sushi’s and caviar.
Sudhir Kamath
The buffet spread is humongous starting with the meditarrean selection to the sushi to the hot grill and the Indian section.

Some improvements to the North Indian range can be in the form of having one non greasy gravy dish (eg: Yellow dal) when you so many rich foods. On the breads, it is time to add some millet based rotis.

South Indian selection was the best. Dessert selection was all diary, maybe some apple pie,

The place had an event and staff seemed to be managing well for non-event guests.
Sujata Shah
Me and my family decided to spend the evening at B cafe for dinner. We were extremely disappointed. There was no one to seat us and slowly the queue grew. Finally we walked in and checked with someone and picked a table of our choice.
The buffet for a Saturday evening was extremely below the mark. The mediterrean counter had spoilt mulberries in their cold mezze. The pita was cold and doughy, so moved to the Asian counter. It was extremely poor in selection for vegetarian on offer. The dimsums were doughy and chalky. The noodles were flavourless. The grilled chicken wings and breast were uncooked. The chicken dim sum was like dough filled with cardboard chicken and pumped with grease. I can go on...the salad was all dry limp old unfresh and unappetizing.
The chat counter had no potatoes to make sevpuri or bhelpuri or any other chat. How can this be possible...boiled potatoes missing??????
The dessert counter was pathetic. The worst in the same category across the city. There was no ice cream and when we asked them they said their refrigerator is broken but we can serve you from the kitchen which we apparently were served with chocolate and vanilla ice cream the only two thwy stocked and both were salty as hell. I will never recommend and will never come to Shangri La.

B – Café Shangri-La insulted me and my family in today’s dinner (3rd April). I booked a dinner to celebrate my wife’s Birthday and when I called them for table booking, they committed that they celebrate my wife’s birthday with a cake. In middle of my dinner a steward came to me and she said “Sir, there is a small celebration arranged for you”, but no such event happened till I stepped out of the restaurant. In fact, Same steward wished us “Thanks you and Good Night” when we stepped out of the restaurant. My humble request is, please don’t commit something to the guest if you cannot fulfill that commitment. It was my very bad experience and insult to me and my wife! Please don't do this for anybody.
Aniket Patankar
Fantastic presentation and variety of cuisines. Loved Thai, Indian and Italian dishes. Variety of desserts made me so confused that I had to try them all. Personal magic show was a plus point. Staff was very polite and well trained. Must visit this place if you're a non-vegetarian and don't hesitate to try new cuisines.

What more than a 5 star review.. Beyond perfect! Food, ambience, service. They also
had the best fruits and desserts. The buffet in b-cafe was an awesome choice of restaurant experience for me.

The buffet here have extremely large variety. The ambience is great. You can select from ranges of continental Japanese North Indian Asian and more

I was here last Sunday. The staff was courteous and that's about it. The food menu had almost no vegan options, neither the buffet. The odour of fish was nauseating at times. The chef tried to make some dishes specially out of the menu and although I appreciate that, there were very few options as the kitchen did not have basic things like vegan cheese. I am not going back and will discourage my friends as well until you introduce more vegan options to choose from. It was a bad choice on my part to enter here.

A nice cool place to spend the evenings.
The staff is cordial.
The ambiance is warm.
Located in one of the most desired location of the city it’s easily accessible

Food is delicious

It was during one of our Team Luncheon, we happened to visit this place.
Food- We attended their buffet lunch on a Friday. They have plethora of options available . It completely justifies the tag as buffet. Be it Lebanese food, Chinese food, Indian food, the option is amazing. I personally enjoyed their cheese platter and the pita, hummus -
along with some fresh cut fruits and prunes. The Chinese counter also has some variety like, the schezuan fried rice was really delicious. The Indian counter has Hyderabadi dum mutton biryani, (yummy, the mutton could have been cooked for some more time), Mutton cooked in drumsticks. The Dahi vada with the sweet chutney was lip smacking!
The dessert section has loads of options including western desserts and Indian desserts. The strawberry cake was delicious. Indian desserts included, kala jamuns, malpua, Rasmalai. They also have different flavours of ice cream, the unique ones are- Green tea and 5 spice
Ambience- Beautiful ambience, well decorated and well ventilated space. They had decorated the place with red lanterns due to the Chinese New Year.
Customer service- Delectable customer service. Everyone has a genuine smile, which is very inviting
Value for money- Expensive

A very fine buffet spread with a multitude of items to choose from and considering the location and the buffet on offer, a definite value for money. Courteous staff and welcoming. Good seating and ambiance. Went there with my cousin and thoroughly enjoyed.

Decided to go for Sunday brunch and was very disappointed with the overall experience.

We had booked a table and received a confirmation for the same . But we weren’t given one for almost 20 minutes, then after a lot of argument we were given a table .

Food was average, the mocktails were even worse, it looked like they were under staffed as everything we asked for wouldn’t come for Atleast 20 minutes. You had to repeatedly ask for things if you wanted it served to you.

The dessert section was good and it is the only thing we enjoyed at the brunch.

I am a gold member( xxxxxxx70293) in Shangrila and I would still never recommend anyone to come here for a brunch on Sunday
Amber Sundka
One of the best coffees
And the cashew cookies are to die for
The place is very warm and calm
The environment is very cozy and the staff is very friendly
The cookies and the coffee is a must try
Will defiantly recommend

We visited this hotel for Sunday Brunch and wasn't quite disappointed. The spread was elaborate and exhaustive from Mediterranean to Sushi to Asian to Grills and Indian. Food tasted great but what was disappointing was the ignorant staffs who did not know the exact price of the buffet they were catering for. From the hostess to the waiters to the managers all had come up with different answers of the price charged for the buffet we had. This is least expected especially from a 5 Star Classified hotel.Nonetheless if we overlook the staff ignorance, the brunch was worth our time and we ate our heart out. Special mention of all the Chefs who were manning the Live stations. They were excellent with their courtesies and food ofcourse

Buffet cost per person 1800/-
Food: not great for this kind of money!
Ambience: amazing (1 rating is for the ambiance) this was my second visit.

Cons:
limited choice of cuisine - one section for Andhra, Vietnamese, Italian and done
The soups are very salty and the prawn soup had no prawns. Not a single prawn. The chefs were reminded and wola few were dropped.
The French onion soup was super salty.
The bowls and cutlery were missing
They have limited man power.
I don’t think anyone eats the Italian dishes they make because they are so boring.
The live fish has absolutely no salt or seasoning. It’s fresh but wants tasteless grilled fish and it’s grilled on the same grill as the veg! So beware!!
Coming to Andhra :: no no no no
Deserts : nice but limited! Have you seen the ITC spread? Plus they have no sugar free options.

The chefs in the soup/Vietnamese section are so tired that they care a damn. They are least interested in what you have to say!

The table staff is very courteous and attentive. 10 points to them :-) I liked only them in my dinner saga.

But no third time for me, my family or my friends.

I had taken my family for a buffet lunch and the experience was really great. They have a very wide spread and courteous staff too. I would like to give a special mention about the chats we had. Papdi chat is a must try. Dessert section is too filled with multiple options, special mention to blueberry cake. We asked the attendant to recommend us one pasta, he brought white sauce pasta which was nothing different. We were looking for some novelty here. Other than that the afternoon was perfect!
Urmil..
We went for Sunday brunch with family
Since I have Shangri la card got 20% discount as well !

They have enormous spread
Food was excellent.
Pan Asian and deserts were my favourite
Staff was polite and very helpful
Worth every penny

Highly recommended !

Food 4/5
Service 5/5
Pricing 5/5
Ambience 4.5/5

Overall 5/5

b Café is an all-day dining restaurant featuring individual open-theatre cooking stations, where diners can watch their food being prepared and served while they watch.

A wide selection of international cuisines is offered, as well as a dedicated vegetarian section, fresh sushi and sashimi, Cantonese dim sum, and noodles.

Lobby Level. Great variety, damn expensive.

During my first ever visit to Shangri-La, I was so impressed by its grandeur, but the food was not so significant in taste. Later that night when I checked their restaurants on Zomato, I was left aghast with the approximate prices. Unless you’re filthy rich or know someone filthy rich or staying at someone else’s expense; avoid visiting. In my case, it was the second one.

b Café is located in the lobby of the hotel. The restaurant offers a wide selection of international cuisines, all-day long. The place is enormous. The staff was on their toes to make my experience pleasant. I came here during breakfast, and so food items in that line.

The menu comprised of salads, healthy oats with toppings of your choice, South Indian breakfast items, English breakfast items, freshly bakes items and so on.

I picked a few items only and loved the Blueberry Danish the most. The aloo paratha was dry, the idly was not up to my standards, the maddur vada; I don’t want to talk about it. The things that I found good were the hash brown, maddur vada and fresh watermelon juice.

I do look forward to trying out other food sometime in the future.

Cheers!

We were in a group of around 30 ppl and most of us liked the food. There is a lot of variety. Special mention to the Chinese n Mediterranean food. The deserts were the best especially baked yoghurt. Sushi, wasabi, paneer butter masala n indian chats need improvement.

However my biggest disappointment was the constant fruit flies on multiple food counters. In a 5-star hotel that is completely unexpected. That's why -2 stars.

Visited b cafe for their famous Sunday buffet, and no bullshit here. Amazing food and big spread too. Live counter for sea food is nice. Very well decorated place and the staffs really take care of you. What I loved: Red snapper fry, Squid rings, prawns, pink fish, like mojito, crab salad, south fish curry and lamb balls and loads of desserts. Must visit place for meat lovers. N yes, the staffs together will perform a cute lil dance n entertain u...actually it's very cute!

Food-5/5
Ambience 4/5
Service 2/5
The place is well done and has an outdoor which serves you Hookah, they have a good spread on there buffet, the food was fresh and taste, the staff was good but the service was not of a 5 star, asked for a roti 5 times and got it after 15 mins, asked for water 10 mins, asked for paper tissue never got it, we were not even asked before the buffet was shut, too bad service and the place was not even crowded, except this guy Adil who tried his best to do what v asked for.

Great spread of different cuisine. lobsters in cheese, grilled lobster,. they have chaat, shushi, indian all equally good in taste. this dinner date made our bangalore visit a memorable one. thanks to entire kitchen team who display such great food. Chef Vijay was helpful in selecting dishes according to our choice.

We dropped in at Shangri-la for a very late lunch at 4pm. After placing the order and waiting for 20 minutes, I asked a staff member to check on the beer which took another 15 minutes to come. By the time the sandwich came, we had already been there for 40 minutes. The vegetables were not cut properly nor was the bread. The waiter offered a replacement. We waited another 15-20 minutes for the replacement and this is what we received - a burnt sandwich. We asked for the manager but the head waiter was sent to handle the issue. It was only when we insisted, did the manager come. Both the chef and the manager apologized and agreed the delay in the service and quality of food served to us was unacceptable.
They got us a 3rd replacement but by that time we had lost our appetites and we left.

Hmmm.. this place is one of my favourite for Sunday Brunch... amazing... so many options.. and to add to it.. they had hosted Japan Food Fest 2018.. let me talk about JFF as this was the highlight.. there were many famous Japanese restaurants participating like Harima, Sarasa, Matsuri, Shiro, 1Q1, Broadway, Yatai, Mikusu, Edo, Azuki and many more.. also there were cultural events.. and the best part was to see Michelin Chef Shimomura demonstrating Salmon Sashimi live.. also got a chance to taste it.. Awesome.... Also it was so pleasant to hear Kannada and Hindi songs live by Japanese national Kuboki san..

On a quick whim, me and a few of my friend decided to go for a Halloween themed buffet.
The place was well crowded and the place wall well themed for halloween.
I specifically loved the desserts here which consisted of pumpkin tarts, dirty chocolate mousse, carrot flavored cupcakes and many other such desserts.
A special mention to the pastry chef Monisha Kaur who had prepared such a lovely array of desserts which I became a fan of.

Since Zomato allows only 1 review per restaurant. I’m adding my recent luncheon experience at B Cafe’s Sunday Brunch.

Was recently invited for Sunday Brunch at B Cafe, Shangri La.
As I was walking towards my table, the counters set up for the grand Sunday brunch affair.
Without any time to spare, I quickly picked off my kids to the outside area of the restaurant which had a huge bouncing castle, a splash pool, a carousel, few games for the kids and a horse carriage.
As the kids kept themselves busy, we slowly started exploring each and every station of the famous Sunday Brunch.
Multi Cuisine as it is, quickly got some sushi. The next hop was at some cold salads and did a tasting session the slow leg lamb roast with nuts was just awesome.
After a quick stop was my the next favourite station. The Grill station.
Was happy to find a 4 kg Grilled Sea Bass. There was also Pork Belly Roast. My dietary restrictions restricted me to the Pork. But I found solace in the beef, lamb and chicken fillets which has a Live Grill option. Asked the chef to do an assorted grilled option for chicken, lamb and beef and went to the continental station.
The continental Statiom to my surprise had Roasted Duck, asked the chef to carve me a portion of the whole Roasted Duck, he in his over enthusiasm carved me a good 2 portions, One of leg on bone and the other was carefully carved boneless breast. Never found duck roasted so beautifully and the jus with it was perfect. Found an cheddar potato bake in the next counter, which is definitely my comfort food, the. Ext counter being a Live Counter of Pasta, Pesto Raviolli is what I ordered and I slowly advanced to the next exciting Make yourself Tacos.
With no time to waste, made myself Cristy tacos with generous filling of chicken, decried beans and beef, heaps and heaps of guacamole and sour cream and tucked away in my seat.
For
The next few minutes was pure bliss, the Roasted Duck was perfect, The Grilled Seabass was tasty and then arrived the Live Grilled Chicken Breast, Lamb in peppercorn and Beef fillets.
Grilled Chicken with Lemon Butter Sauce was just out of the world. It was tasty, seared perfectly and was warm out of the Live grilled, every taste of that chicken was pure bliss.
Beef was grilled in BBQ sauce, was saucy, tangy, sweet and had the heat within.
Lamb was a bit tough on the other hand.
Repeat orders of chicken breast and beef came to my table next.
Next was the Asian Station. The Make yourself Soup is the best thing B Cafe offers on all Buffet Days. Today it was Malaysian Laksa. Somehow the here I find this comforting, fragrant, full of flavour.
There was an option of adding seafood. Prawns and Squids were there in addition to Veggies.
The Asian Maincourse station had Crushed prawns, which was really good and Thai Green Curry which was equally tasty.
Then came in starters from the Indian section. Paneer tikka, chicken tikka and veg Shammi and there was an Indian section waiting as well, I was so full, I had to skip the Indian section.
The was a live counter of Dosa, podi mini idly. There was a chaat counter a Cheese and bread counter.
The dessert section was a treat to the eyes and to those tastebuds and it quickly made space in the tummy. With a lot of Gataux, Cakes, tarts and bite size pastries there was this One tart which was the star of the dessert. It was Almond Tart with White Chocolate parfait.
The top layer was chocolaty with creamy center and the bottom layer slight tough with a slight pressure came a wonderful sound of the cake server cut the pie crust, I knew it then and there, it was baked to perfection. Later did I realised the slight tough bottom layer was almond slivers.
Some Almond slivers were baked to perfection and some were raw, which itself is a medley of flavours in the mouth, the nutty, earthy and estatic aroma and taste kept me asking for more.
The in house ice cream is the best here, they claim its all made in-house. The fresh Mango ice cream made me wonder if mango season which never ends. The Macha/ Green Tea ice cream is a taste to acquire. For the children there is class floss machine, some colourful gummy bear’s and a Nice play zone with a slide, huge building blocks and a ball pool with bean bags scattered.
The mocktails were unlimited with this Sunday brunch.
A special thanks to Mr Jagdish, Mr Sayan for organising. Mr Sayan being an exceptionally good host in leaving no stone unturned in comforting me. Also the Chef who got me the hot scrumptious starers on the table.

Following is my old review.

Lobster night.
Lobster night started off in March, where at B cafe, every first Wednesday of the month there was lobster buffet dinner.
In simple terms, it is just a regular buffet with additional lobster items on each station to add up zing on the menu.
There were 2 items of lobster on salads, grilled lobster with 4 different sauces, lobster tom yum soup, lobster stir fry, steamed lobster and lobster bisque.
Since Dec 6th was the last lobster night of the year, the restaurant was 80% full. Grilled lobsters everywhere, in addition to the lobsters, there was grilled pomfret, grilled red snapper and grilled tiger prawns.
There was a huge lobster station for grilling lobsters out in the open, there were two large gas fired barbecue.
The only let down was I had to nearly wait for 45mins to get the first grilled lobster. The first lobster was big in size, but the subsequent lobsters got smaller and smaller. The grill station worked rather slow, I hardly got 4 lobsters.
Apart from this, there was regular buffet spread.
Lobsters were the star of the night.
The buffet was Modestly priced at ₹1887 plus taxes.

B cafe @ Shangri-la has always been one of my favourite place to dine. The Sunday Brunch has a huge spread with the live counters where u can ask the chef to make what u feel and want to have. The service is also very nice here. Definitely would come back for more. They also have a designated play area for the kids and a pony ride where the kids can have fun. It's a complete complete package.

Ambience 4/5
Service 4.5/5
Food 5/5
Music 4/5

Overall a good experience.

This was our second visit here. A very elaborate buffet spread @1900 Inc taxes with pastas, salad, Chinese, indian, sushi, dessert, live counters, etc. Wine is priced on the higher side. Service was good.
Make sure you starve the whole day before heading out here.

This is one of the place for people in North and central Bangalore. easily accessible. WE have been there for couple of times and found it interesting each time. As we entered , we were welcomes by Staff, Ambika, she assisted to help find a comfortable place of our choice and introduced us to Sudipta who took nice care of us for Dinner on weekday. Buffet had good spread , I chose to have Al-a -carte. We ordered Bhaati ka Murgh , Paneer Masala, Chicken Biryani and green thai curry. Starter was cooked well and served with mint chutney which tasted perfect with each other. Paneer Masala was just super with extra soft paneer and went well with Tandoori rotis. we requested them to make chicken biryani spicy and it was served as expected , little on more spicy side and we all liked it.
Thai curry was also served with steamed rice as per our request , but guess what, we had to get it parceled and we relished it next day .
Hospitality of staff were very good and food tasted awesome . Over all we had good dining experience here.

Shangri la as a hotel is an excellent place to be at. The food at b cafe was ordinary and that's what we were expecting from 5 star buffet but the variety is too good with a lot of dishes and the price of the buffet is very reasonable considering this. Had great experience with the hotel and the restaurant but the service wasn't great and is a minus point for such a good buffet

Went to have lunch on 07/08/2018 for my son's birthday. The restaurant has great ambiance and all members of the service team were cordial, smiling and radiated warmth. Buffet was superb. The lady who looked after our table Ms Nisha, took extra care to make us feel comfortable, because we were late and the buffet lunch was to close in the next 15 minutes. She explained the various choices available and helped to guide us to pick up our choice of food. She was calm, composed and in complete control of her duties which she carried out with perfection. We enjoyed the great food and hope to visit again.

Simply loved the place. Obvious right ? Shangri-la it is. We were there to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday. So it was midnight and weekend. So we went for midnight buffet here. Not so many options in food were there but the service was increible I must say. Enjoyed the night 😍
Looking forward to visit again.

Biriyani, chicken dishes, fish, parota, deserts etc which I had and I liked all of these in a midnight buffet. Not a great spread (there are lot more than what I have mentioned above) but sufficient for midnight buffets. Worth your money!

Went for the buffet, disappointed as the veg spread was measly, could not find any starters! The spread was Lebanese, Asian and Indian. Guess vegetarians should not go fo buffet here. Not worth the price at all.
